Mark Swasey: Horrible Experience. We had an appointment for 1030, what that means is you stand in line for an hour before you get to talk to ANYONE. BEFORE you stand in line for an hour make sure that ALL of your paperwork is filled out completely (even the back page that has your name and address even though it's already on the front) cause if you don't you will have to go back to the END OF THE LINE, another hour before you get to talk to ANOTHER PERSON. Seems DHS is really scraping the bottom to the barrel with employees that don't really care, just showing up to work and with ZERO customer service experience. FYI, if you get the women with the neck tattoos just let the person behind you go in front of you cause she doesn't want to be there or help ANYONE and doesn't give a S#*t about you or anyone else.
Mary Hildebrandt: The staff here are kind and very efficient. There is a recent policy change that same day passports won't be ready for pick up until 3pm.They really know how to move people through, though. Everyone I interacted with was clear in their instructions and kind toward me and the other patrons.
አዜብ አዜብ: The customer service is the worst. You can not get hold of them when you get hold of them, they schedule you to the wrong state and city. They don't take the same day appointment any longer.

sydnee lipp: 5 stars because everyone was nice but READ - I went up there because I was unable to reach anyone through the phone and it was pointless. They absolutely will NOT let you past security without an appointment so avoid wasting your time. It took a while but if you call the 877 number back to back, eventually you will get through. My date of travel is 4/17, so I tried right on the 14 day mark by going up there on 4/03. They also let me know the wording online is wrong, and that its not AT 14 days, but WITHIN 14 days. They said their online system wouldn't even allow for my appointment to be booked until 4/4, so I had to wait and call back today. I finally got through and got my appt set, but just to save everyone some time - do not go without an appointment. I found that it's best to call right at 8:00am when the line opens, it only took a few minutes to get through.
Laura: 2023 - Have not made it in for my appointment, but here's how I got mine scheduled! (Earliest available was one week out)Don't rely on calling at 7:59-8:30, you can try but everyone else seems to have the same idea. I called twenty times during this time period and only got a busy signal for the automated system.I tried again at 9:30, and got through! I quickly typed in 1121 while the automated voice was rattling off my options. I IMMEDIATELY was routed to a real person, who got me scheduled right away. Call late morning to noon - not as many people clogging up the line!

hameed imran: Ok. Not a great experience. Monday morning was slow as a hell. The people around the office is definitely super super slow. Almost waited for 3 hours to get passport. Thank you Naseeem you are a saviour. She helped and made the process smoother after long wait. Please do the paperwork ready and just visit regardless of your time they are allowing to jump in the line. Be prepared to test your patience if you already applied in usps and trying to expediate.
Khloe Hamama: Before your rely on their services, call and make sure they’re actually open.They're closed forever at this location as they’re moving and did not notify anyone. We called a month ago and nobody thought to tell us that until 2 weeks before our travel.

Dave Skorupski: It's in a Federal building, so you will need to be scanned and it's an all- business atmosphere with the guards.You'll need to check in with another guard on the third floor, so be sure you have your documents.When you get in, you'll check in with the tellers, so again, have all your docs ready.The good news is, you can get your passport the same day - but you will need to pay an expedite fee.Parking is a challenge - but there is a parking lot just around the corner, and you will need to pay $15.00 cash.
Jeffrey Rohrs: After paying for expedited passport processing for my daughter way back in December, we find ourselves adding a trip to Detroit—in a snowstorm—on the Friday before Spring Break in hopes of getting a same day passport.The bureaucratic snafus that led us here are numerous, anonymous, and, judging by the packed waiting room, shared with about 150 of our fellow Americans. If there was a way to rate the State Department’s Passport Agency hotline and process on Google, we’d give them zero stars. They are faceless, slovenly buck-passers of the highest order.The staff here at the physical passport office? Saints. These folks are served up a daily stream of frantic, furious, and/or fearful travelers who stand on the precipice of a ruined vacation, a missed reunion, or a cancelled, yet desperately needed medical procedure overseas.From the security guards to the check-in officer to the window clerks, everyone is patient and helpful. They deal with crisis in every conversation but never raise their voice and look for solutions rather than excuses. They are shining examples of what pubic service should be & the rest of the behind-the-scenes passport processing sausage factory should take note. Your screw-ups put these folks in front of the verbal firehouse every day, but they do what needs to be done for their fellow citizens.Five stars, but I hope never to return. Especially during a snowstorm.
Hannah King: I was so stressed about not getting my passport in time. My appointment was a day before my flight. Things could not have gone smoother. If you have your things together, the correct documentation, etc, you can get your passport in a day. The folks working there were so nice and helpful and put me at ease. Line was short, went back home and waited a few hours and picked up my passport later that afternoon.

You must have an appointment and arrive early due to having to find some parking and walk. Pleasantly surprised!!! Johanna Mae: I applied for my US passport back in July 2022 and sent my supporting documents (ie. naturalization certificate), I got my passport back right away in August 2022 but never got my supporting documents back. I’ve been calling since November 2022 and almost every month. Although it’s nice that the staff are polite but the fact that they can’t give me a status on where my naturalization documents are or even track where it is, is just unprofessional. They have been documenting my calls but no update whatsoever on where my documents are. It’s really frustrating. I waited over a year to get that naturalization certificate and paid over $1,000 for the processing. They can’t even tell me if it’s lost or misfiled or where it is exactly.
Grace Morales: This passport agency returned my birth certificate in a non-discrete envelope that read "passport agency" on the front of it. In short, the envelope was ripped open and my birth certificate was stolen with the torn envelope placed in my mailbox. They really need to consider and adjust their protocols when it comes to the security and identity of their customers and how they return confidential documents. Extremely disappointing now that I have to deal with this.
Erin Mulvaney: Everybody I encountered in the building, from the security downstairs to the passport agency itself, were wonderful people. I drove from out of state to get an emergency passport to see my very sick father and ended up not meeting all requirements. They worked with me to figure out the best way to get what I needed and I walked out with a passport same day. Naseem is an angel and has so much compassion and empathy for others. Rebekah Le'Sure: Too long of lines, they close earlier than suppose to at times. Also, my packages lately be damaged or opened, but found out that it might be due to how the company who I order from sends it... Granted I use to work at the main Post Office in Troy, so I do understand some of the hardship or difficulties that any of the staff might have. I just wish things were different and less stress or problems for us as customers.Think I will change my P O box to the one on Beech Daly Rd in Redford. They have more than one option for service. They stay open to the time they say, late hours and open Sundays, and self service machine for when you don't want to go in line.

Stefania Ramirez: I want to say service here has always been good. Everyone is nice and helpful. There is usually only one person working a window, so be prepared to wait if it’s busy. I’m giving them two stars, because I’ve had two packages get lost somewhere down the line after shipping from here. I was told they don’t scan when you drop off a package, and I don’t know if that never triggers a scan, but a package was never scanned and delivered a month later. I currently have another package hopefully not lost, but no scan after five days.

bob dobalina: Worst post office ever. Packages never arrive on time. They stomp thru my bushes, leave the mailbox wide open, mail is never delivered when its supposed to be. Packages thrown on porch. Say they attempted delivery but no attempt was made. I have video cameras and know when they are there.
Amber Abram: One of the staff members, Lisa, was extremely rude and impatient! After forcing me out of line because I had to pull up a tracking number that took only 60 seconds to load, Lisa decided to take another individual ahead of me once I got back into the line in order to spite me. She also talked to me in a very condescending tone. I will no longer use this location for my mailing services due to the poor customer service that I received!
Zachary Pollard: My package tracking said "Delivery attempted, no access" two days ago. This is definitely not true, I live in a house, I don't have a gate or a dog, and I was home all day, no one ever came by. So after 2 more days I called them and they told me I have to come pick up the package. They literally got my package and did nothing with it, even though I paid for shipping. whats worse is "no access" Implies that it was my fault, and there was absolutely no way I would have known that I had to go pick up the package myself.
