Lots of cool places to explorer. However I am very sad that it is not being taken care of like it should. The buildings (Most of them) are falling apart and are pretty much gone. Alex C: As a lifelong Michigander I had no idea this slice of American military history existed. Sadly, most of the buildings are in disrepair. However, it's worth a visit when an event is happening. There's cool stuff to check out and it kinda transports you back in time. The British are coming! The British are coming! Luckily for us, they never came, from that side of Canada at least!
Benjamin Johnson: Spooky time at FrankenFest!!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry $1–5 …More
Daniel Terhune: Such a beautiful and amazing piece of history minutes away from downtown Detroit! With the addition of the Gordie Howe bridge, I hope the next few years bring focus and funds to this overgrown gem. We had a blast exploring and taking in the sights and history, even though none of the buildings were open, and we didn't go on the guided tour. I would recommend exploring one day, and taking the guided tour another. Entry to walk and explore is free. Take it in, explore the grounds, and admire the craftsmanship.
