Bobby O: Too many things to put on here. Slow service at the Post office...so slow that I got a $45.00 parking ticket while I was inside! Never know when my mail is coming very inconsistent delivery times. Outgoing mail doesn't get picked up. Get other peoples mail. Left a box of food donations, they delivered my mail and left the box on my porch clearly marked (Post Office Food Donation). I use this location as a last resort because of all the issues I've experienced and that's a shame because it's close to my house. I've been to several other Post Offices and they all run smoothly.

Venise Elledge-West: All I can say is that I hope and pray my child receives his passport. I scheduled an appointment for 8am today which was booked days in advance on the USPS Gov website for the Springwells location in Detroit. First clue, I tried booking an appointment 50 miles away from this location and couldn't get an appoint in the month of January except for this location. My husband and I arrived at 8am. Doors were locked and lights were dim. My husband walked around back to signal one of the postal workers that we had an appointment at 8am. The postal worker proceeds to tell my husband that the office opens at 8:30am. We informed the postal worker it states on the website, doors open at 8am in addition why would you allow us to schedule an appointment for a time you are not open. Well, finally, at 8:07 am, manager opens the door for us and states she was sorry and a truck was late then proceeded to walk away enters her office and closes the door leaving us at the counter to wait on a representative. A representative appears behind the counter with an attitude and processes the passport application. She appeared lost and fumbled through the transaction and said we were all set and handed me a receipt. I have no confidence in the rep and how the transaction was handled. This was my first visit to this location and my experience was pleasant at all. Rude staff and unprofessional. Stay away from this location and certainly don't arrive at 8:00am which is when they open. You won't be a welcomed at all.
El hijo Del rio: One of a few locations in Southwest Detroit that desperately needs a bilingual staff memeber the other is on livernois for the many Latino patrons that are spanish speakers including where the post office is located it should be a automatic no brainer! So tired of seeing people struggle to communicate. I can go to Dearborn and they have Arabic speakers working the line so this is baffling to me. And disheartening. Desperately trying to figure out why Dearborn can have someone that speaks Arabic on hand but Detroit can't have anyone that speaks Spanish.

Bri Dragon (Dragon Queen): Whenever my mailman takes off I do not get mail. They do not have other carriers deliver mail if regular carrier is away. They also screen phone calls and if you actually get one of these stanks to pickup they talk real nasty and hangup the phone before you finish talking. An easy remedy for the missing mail is to LET ME COME PICKUP MY MAIL! But no, they won't let us, so we have to bite our nails and hope the mailman is on for the day, otherwise we have no mail.

The door was locked and NO ONE appeared to be in the place. Frankie P.: I purchased a PO Box from 60 E Milwaukee St, Detroit, MI 48202 on December 7th, 2021. The post office gave me a broken PO Box (lock was broken off) promising that it would be fixed within the week. I have no idea as to how the lock was broken. All I know is that I was on the waiting list for a PO Box, I received a notification that one was available, and they've willingly sold a broken PO box to me and I've been calling every week since then to see if it's been fixed. It still has not been handled as of today, February 22nd, 2022.USPS will attempt to charge my card again on February 25th, 2022 for the service.I attempted to speak to the manager(s) about either refunding me for not being able to use my PO Box the entire time or giving me another 3 months for the inconvenience, but no one has followed back up with me about that. No one has been answering their phones when I call. No one is addressing it directly when I come to the post office in person.I haven't had mail sent to the PO Box for this specific reason because the issue has never been addressed. I've called before arranging to have a package sent to make sure everything was handled but it never was fixed. I didn't want to have my mail open and accessible for anyone to get to.This is a completely frustrating experience, and to know that I've spent $125 for a PO Box that's been broken into for 3 months and easily accessible; none of the staff has been following through, yet they're still trying to charge my card and the box hasn't even been fixed. It's been months of empty promises.

I finally called Amazon and they put me through to someone at the USPS and I told them to hold the packages at the post office and I would pick up. When I went to pick up, they packages weren't there. I've spent the last hour calling their phone and either get hung up on or placed on endless hold. I literally spent 35 minutes on hold before I gave up. Ridiculous.

Matt Buday: When asking the vast majority of the public, most would agree that going to the post office isn't a pleasurable experience. Sometimes you have to deal with long lines, impatient people, and the occasional rude USPS postal worker. Not to mention it can be a bit stuffy.As a result of these factors, i've been click and shipping (pre-purchasing/prepackaging/labeling) my items for a few years now as I do many shipments a month. This saves me money, and the most important, TIME. Its nice to skip the lines and just drop off and goI recently went through a move, and started going to this location approximately 7 months ago. I've met just about all the usps clerks by now, and i must say, that each and every one of them are knowledgeable and helpful. Some obviously have better attitudes about their jobs than others, but that's the beauty of human nature.Over the 7 months i have been going here, one clerk, Bri, has stood out among her fellow employees. She is always kind, says hello and asks how you are or how you have been. Knowledgeable? yes. Good attitude toward others and about her job? yes. Attentive? absolutely.I thought at first her attitude was only subjective to me, but after watching her interact with other customers other than myself, i can see it is her NATURAL work ethic and attitude; which are both outstanding in comparison to not just this location, but to the whole of metro detroit USPS locations (and i've been to nearly all of them). Thank you Bri for your services.And to USPS: do not let this one get away. Promote her. Give her a raise. She has more than the right attitude, skillset, and knowledge for her current position; and beyond. She is 110% deserving of it, and she will only increase the longevity and quality of the USPS system in whole, as she does already for me and other customers on a daily basis.Thank you.
Veronica West: If our regular carrier is absent, we normally don't receive any mail and he is absent alot. There have been times when 5 days have gone by with no delivery, mail delivered on Sunday or multiple times in one day. This system is broken and in desperate need of repair. They sneak around delivering packages at night and make empty promises about mail delivery almost daily. Some people are waiting for important mail and this lack or care or concern is unacceptable.

This was our go-to USPS bc honestly not many of them are "good" so usually I just find one I can tolerate. My husband went in this morning to request a refund for a Next Day delivery that did NOT deliver by noon the next day. How do I know? Well, the tracking number usually provides tracking HISTORY-when the package was first scanned, when the package arrives at another facility/distribution center, when the sorting has been completed, when the package is out for delivery and FINALLY when the package is delivered. WE KNOW that they can manually enter scans to benefit them. WE KNOW THIS and the CSR still tried to talk in circles to.... cover a fellow postal worker who works in an entirely different state, behind? It doesn't make any sense how the tracking history we had SCREEN SHOT with a time stamp of a time well after noon last Saturday is different from what they have in their system. How does what THEY see in their manipulated system trump what the CUSTOMER sees based on what is GIVEN to them? He also did not receive the text message confirmation he was expecting and she explained that those are only sent if something happens to the package. WHAT??!?! Furthermore, how can a shipping service guarantee a refund if the package is not delivered the next day by noon if the CUSTOMER cannot rely on information provided to them to track the package?! Lack of transparency leads me to believe THAT IT IS A SCAM because what is the point of even providing a tracking number if 1) scans can be entered manually/altered 2) a rude CSR can try to talk circles around LOGIC and a clear screenshot of the tracking history.

740 6220: Terrible location ....I ordered some shoes online on state fair and the mail lady tried to steal them until I called their office......mail lady is always on her phone and giving me others peoples mail..AND i don't get my mail until I call post office every week and .they stole and cashed my work check.....stay clear of 7 & chalmers location...

The customer service has really declined over the years, my mail has been marked delivered just to find out later that day it wasn't actually delivered when they marked it, mail is now coming as late as 8PM, and mail carriers look you dead in the face and drive past but claim they had no access to ually deliver your mail so it will come way behind time. They seriously need to do a complete turnaround fire incompetent and rude staff and carriers and start completely anew from the ground up. I would be more satisfied if they closed down completely just to do so, because as of now, it is just terrible.

Fawziah jouni: The most ghetto post office ever. The mail carrier stole my package and marked it as delivered, and she even put a slip in the box to say she missed the delivery. The ladies at the front desk are rude, disrespectful tried to tell me that packages have chosen and gpas said they were here. Just dumb. I called up there everyday of the week just to be lied to about where my package was, and different stories about when it was "delivered'. These people shouldn't be in charge of anyone's mail very irresponsible and inconsiderate.I can't wait for someone to play with there belongings and property the same way they do.0 stars.

Shell Woods: The Post Office on Fenkell IN DETROIT is HORRID and deserves a Negative Star rating. I just left this post office, when I walked in the lights were off behind the counter as I’m standing there calling for assistant because I hear the employees in the back talking. No one came out, as I was standing there other customers began walking in to see the same mess, No employees, and this is during business hours early 1 o clock to be exact. There was no note On the door to indicate ANYTHING. Me and an elderly woman waited, another customer can in looking to buy stamps, the elderly lady with her heart of gold gave this gentleman 4 stamps. This post office is a sad disgrace to the community. The only good thing is the one guy who normally works the window (all by himself) he does a good job. He probably needed a day off and the post office was lost.

Mekhi Terry: The service here is BEYOND subpar on deliveries. Packages will also be delayed due to sheer LAZINESS. They're almost ALWAYS marked as delivered before they're actually delivered, if they're delivered at all typically in the evening. Going to the post office to wait in a line for 40-50 minutes to inquire about it will only get you laughs as will LITERALLY chasing down a mailman. Packages are falsely signed for as well. This could be someone's medicine or something expensive they more than likely worked hard for or actually need. No consideration for others.Update: refuses to answer phone calls.
