Jugis world Jugi: My family has been sending our children here for over 30 yrs. These ladies are the truly the best.
Ronnie Cochran: My children have been going to this center for 4 1/2 years. This is a great childcare center. The staff is great, the kids are well taken care of, the food is good, the center is spotless at all times. My children left this center knowledgeable and was on the honor roll there first years in elementary. I wouldn't trust any other facility to watch my kids.

Sugar N Spice Nursery School: what do users think?
oatmealbrownie09: It's ok. Convenient location and affordable. Also, they stay open until 6:00 pm. They seem a little understaffed for amount of children. If you don't ask, the various staff won't tell you how the day went. They use a slip of paper to communicate every so often but it's kinda useless. They do not consistently support potty training and I have to ask every week.Update: I ended up taking my son out and chose not to put my other one in. About 30% of the time my son was soaked when I picked him up. They stopped using the slip to communicate. The day shift doesn't communicate with afternoon shift and if you ask a question about your child, the answer is always I don't know.
Tanisha Welch: I attended Sugar N Spice as a child and am looking forward to sending my child there next year. They have a nurturing atmosphere that fosters growth and self-confidence in young children, while focusing strongly on learning and curriculum, preparing students for the next level of education. So glad to see Sugar N Spice still going strong!
Kristal Nelson: Both my kids were enrolled at Sugar N' Spice and the Staff there is absolutely wonderful as well as the owner. They not only make sure your kids are in a safe environment they are also in a learning environment. I would highly recommend Sugar N' Spice as a place for your children.

Midtown KinderCare: what do users think?
Amir Anabtawi: Critical:Communication,Professionalism
Farah Anabtawi: Worst Daycare Ever!! My kid and I had a very bad experience with them. No care at all. Every time I tried to talk to the teacher, the director refused. My 4 years old kept complaining about them and I really had to send him there because I had a new baby. "The director" Amy is very unprofessional and has zero communication skills. My son was going through a hard time esp. after having a new sister and they did not help him at all. Don't send your kids there please!
A.G. Anabtawi, MD: Critical:Communication
Christina R: My daughter has been at this center for a couple months and I am highly satisfied! The staff here are wonderful and go over and beyond! My daughter loves going to Midtown Kindercare. She has learned so much at this center. The teacher, staff and directors take pride in there job and make each child feel special. I highly recommend this center! 5 stars!
Sterling Anthony: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueKinderCare Midtown in Detroit, MI has been instrumental in my grandson's development, both academically and socially. He loves his attendance and speaks fondly of the staff. His enrollment has proven to be an investment that pays big dividends.
Ramneet Sudhakara: Positive:Reliability,Responsiveness
Felipe Gonzales-Paul: Wow!! We were so hesitant to send our first child to daycare. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Everyone somehow managed to be professional, kind, and were just as nice first thing at 7 am as pick up time. The only reason we left is because we moved.
Shannin Tausch: My husband and I were both a bit nervous about sending our 16 month old son to his first daycare, but the transition couldn't have been any smoother. The facility (inside and out) is absolutely clean and beautiful, the entire staff goes above and beyond, the children are fed a wide variety of snacks and meals, and they are constantly entertained with creative learning activities. I can't say enough good things about this place. We're so thankful to have them in the area!
Amanda: The director of KinderCare Midtown is excellent - always helps if any questions/concerns.The staff strive to make learning both fun and play-based for the children, and do a great job keeping parents updated throughout the day on the app.We have been happy with our experience at both the 2’s and preschool classrooms upstairs. They also have great facility with playgrounds for different age groups and an indoor gym for cold or rainy periods - huge plus.
Russell Nixon: Positive:Professionalism,ValueThe staff is wonderful - and the facility is beautiful! From our first visit, Amy (Center Director) has been warm, knowledgeable, and accommodating! The steps taken since the beginning of the Covid crisis have been comforting so I trust that my child is safe!
Rachel Karmally: Couldn’t imagine leaving. We used to live down the street from the location so we chose midtown Kindercare initially out of convenience. We moved 20 minutes away and decided to keep our 2 year old here because of the great education provided, the directors communication and especially the amazing teachers!!! My toddler loves the place. She runs in every morning. Also, my daughter is further along to being potty trained thanks to her dedicated teachers.I love the app they use. When I show my coworkers the Kindercare app with my child’s photos, food, nap, and potty updates, personal messages from teacher, etc they wish they got the same quality and communication from their child’s daycare. We are looking forward to our infant be joining the Kindercare family in December.Happy mom!
Nicole Young: Positive:Quality,ReliabilityAmy and the entire staff have been nothing short of amazing to our two little ones. They are excited for school every day and come home happy to tell us all of the things they have learned. We have been to quite a few daycares and Midtown KinderCare is hands down our favorite.
Jonathan Young: Hands down my absolute favorite Daycare! Amy Arena is an amazing director and always responds quickly to questions or concerns. My children constantly receive compliments with how advanced they are. I credit Midtown KinderCare for these compliments because they’re teaching my children new things everyday! True story, my oldest began correcting us when we misidentify a dinosaur, heavy-machinery, etc. after he learned about these subjects with KinderCare. We’ve attended five KinderCare locations since COVID kicked off due to temporary location closures and consolidations. Every location was amazing but my children were extra excited returning back to the Midtown location! All locations are integrated with KinderCare’s mobile apps where we receive photos, videos, and updates throughout the day. Their grandparents are all out of state, but we were able to give them viewing access to their photos so they receive cute daily photos of their grandkids learning and playing! You will not regret taking your children to Midtown KinderCare! 5-star teachers, facility, and management!
Will Kim: They communicate, they're careful with your kids, and they care about their growth and development. Amy the director is flexible and will give you a call if anything happens during the day, and the food is high quality. Highly recommend.

Childtime of Detroit: what do users think?
cassie nelligan: Was only going to enroll my child here because a. Bright horizons was full , and b. I could walk to this location from my house. I called for a tour and asked if my child’s age group was full. Customer service rep assured me that their was space. My husband and I went up there for the tour. This is NO free parking . We parked at the meter. We went in and I told them I was their for a tour. The worker told me their would be no room for a 1 year old til SEPTEMBER. I told her that they told me their was room over the phone. She said they do that so you will come in for the tour to promote their business. Oh no. What a waste of time.
Sharday Barnett: They are very terrible! They say they accept DHS but do not wanna go through the work My child was kicked out prior to her already missing a month before because they kept saying her hours/payments weren’t approved when actually were. I asked administrator India to call my worker so she can verify that my baby was approved she said “no that’s not they job”, and jus kicked my child out of the program.
Amna Shaikh: My toddler was bit and beaten multiple times by another kid while the teacher did not intervene timely. He had bite marks on his arm. When we brought up this issue to director Ms. Tamika Spence, she said they are training teachers. The director Ms. Tamika did not do anything. I became vigilant and start keeping an eye on live videos and saw physical harassment on live videos aswell. This harassment continued and I would see bruising at several occasions on him to the point that I took him out of childtime detroit NCO.
Camille Sanders: Critical:Professionalism,Reliability
Teusdae Paxton: I love this place. So much so that even though I need to, I wont pull my child out. They love it, I love the app, the teachers are honest about my childs behavior but so sweet and caring. I'm so appreciative of all they do for her.
Melissa Fowlkes: If you haven't been to this location, please check out the new management team. This location is cute, cozy and NAEYC accredited. If you are looking for a great child care location, you must check out Childtime of Detroit-New Center.
Jackie Boesman: While I have only been using Childtime for a couple of days now, I am blown away by the attentiveness of the staff. Their new Director, Sydney, is truly special. She has gone above and beyond to accommodate our special circumstances without hesitation. Also, their Brightwheel app allows the staff to give you updates and photos of your baby all day long, which makes being away from them a bit easier. You really don't know how hard it is to drop your baby off at daycare until you do, and the staff at Childtime has made the transition much more bareable.
M Lewis Bass: Nice looking place. Kids seem to love it.
aaliyah jones: I had an interview there and my daughter was sick so I called to let them know and me. Tamika was very rude and didn't want to even try to reschedule me and hung up on me. I will not send my daughter there
Linda Ornsby: Great facility and great teachers. My daughter attended the W Grand Blvd location from the age of 4 months - 3 years old. My daughter learned so much while at childtime that teachers at her new school were impressed that she new her shapes, colors, letters, and how to spell her name. I can only speak at this location, but this place is much more than a baby sitting service. One thing that I love is that they implemented a mobile app which gives us updates, throughout the day, as to what our child was currently doing, pictures of our child in action, and over all updates as to what's planned for the rest of the week, etc. Nothing more brightens my day at work than getting a notification with a picture of my child going down the slide at recess. Management did a very good job at making sure all parents were aware of what was going on at the center. All of the instructors are caring and nurturing. You are in good hands with the staff at the W Grand Blvd location.
Karie Clayton: My daughter attended a Child time while we lived in Las Vegas, NV. I was so sad to leave them when we relocated to Michigan, however, while searching for daycare's-I found a Child time by my employer. I know she is in good hands at daycare, where she is loved, learning, and interacting with other children. I would recommend Child time to everyone as it is such a great educational based daycare who also loved my child as if she were their own.
Takera Lawery: The staff is wonderful and Ms. Shilah is the best

John Evans Montessori Academy: what do users think?
Melissa Terry: I really liked the program here they are really advanced compared to other daycares but one day my 2 year old daughter came home and casually told me that her teacher ms b “popped” her nose. I reported to principal ms s who said she asked the teacher, who denied the claims (of course) and she said she had cameras but didn’t know how to work them. Due to her lack of investigation I called cps and reported the teacher. It wasn’t a personal attack on ms s I just felt like she blew off the investigation and I wanted somebody to look into it. (And to be fair the school would do the same if the tables were turned).Fast forward I heard from a friend that ms b no longer works for the school, I wanted to re enroll my daughter back in because I felt like the school I put her in was academically slower, but they won’t take her back they said because we almost cost her liscense no accountability for herself or ms b but a baby’s fault. And note till this day i never cussed this lady out I never accused her of lying all I asked was for her to investigate.
Cameron Fields: This daycare is by far the best in the city! The ownership and staff here is nothing short of amazing would recommend to any parents looking for a daycare with an excellent curriculum
Shirletha Alberty: Family orantated My children love it there and I do too well rounded
Qwentina Jones: Highly recommend! The students are educated very well, they are encouraged to use positive words, very clean, safe, and has a family feel.
Taylor Fields: Best daycare center in the Detroit area. My child has learned so much

Starting Point Montessori School: what do users think?
Mrs. Independent: This school and the women who run it are condescending, rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and need to be replaced. They have no type of common courtesy or sense really when it comes down to dealing with urgent matters or even helping families with matters involving the school. It's their way or bo way and they don't give a d*mn if the kids are affected while doing so. They only care about the money. Then they will also take your money and if you speak up about anything they will threaten to kick your child out without a refund. They claim to not have anyone over the school and only the principal is allowed to talk to parents. If anyone knows, there is ALWAYS someone over a principal. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!!!!!
Tiera Turner: I signed my son up to attend this institution, in the hopes for growth and success in his development, but after 3 days they kicked my 2 year old son out. The lack of patience and communication, on the institutions behalf, is limited. They gave up on my child after 3 days; didn’t even give him a full week. Also, only gave a partial refund when stated otherwise.Highly disappointed.
Allante Taylor: This School is a golden gem,I am very selective about my children education I have 2 kids who attend and they have helped my daughter with not just her education but her self esteem,You will notice 95 % of the negative comments surround "money", there is even a comment that states "the education is great but the price is high".My daughter knows so much my son knows words I didn't even know lol...so my recommendation is if you want the BEST education for your kid including culture send them here, if the fees are concerning just ask what all in total you will be spending then ask for small arrangements, like I did. Other than that the school defeats ANY other school I researched for my 2 young Black Children!!
Blanche Jenkins: The teachers are Awesome! My Grandson received an excellent education!
J Marie: So where do I begin..Starting point Montessori will make sure that your child is brilliant. There’s no doubt about that. They have a strong curriculum and from a young age are taught structure and discipline with lots of love. So, why do I give this place two stars?I’ve had several issues with the school secretary. She has since apologized but after having yet another issue with them refusing to provide me with the school tax Id number for taxes, I’d never bring my son back or recommend it.The biggest incident was when they assumed my child was sick when he wasn’t. Because of this they refused to let him inside of the school. I simply asked to speak with the school director and was told that she’d be there later. I opted to wait for her and she literally called the police on me. I wasn’t hostile, I was confused and wanted to wait there with my child. I recorded the entire incident and even the school director couldn’t figure out why on earth she’d opt to call the police. I recorded the incident because I’d had issues with her attitude in the past and wanted to show Karen because it was ridiculous. I was sitting in the chair quiet and recorded her lying to the police saying that I was hostile lol.. but the entire time I was already recording before she even knew.So yea, there’s that. They also charge you fees for everything. They’re a strict school and if your child’s socks aren’t the color they want it to be they’ll fine you.The tuition is also very high.My son was 1.5 when he started the school so the strictness threw me off.Anyway, I feel like for the price they should be learning mandarin or Spanish and taking all sorts of extracurricular classes.I’m moving back home and have found a school that charges a similar rate and my child will learn everything I’ve just mentioned.So.. it’s a good school for the area. Again, the secretary apologized but... the issue could have been a lot worse.. as black women especially we should never ever call the police on another person out of some misplaced spite or annoyance. What if they’d had shown up like so many do and try to immediately hurt me, especially with my child present? We see it all of the time and watching someone blatantly lie to authorities for no reason was heartbreaking.I loved the school before that.. after the incident it never felt the same.
Mizzz Candy: It's ok but kind of expensive to and no family discount for families with more than two kids
Deion Dykes: Horrible shcool. They make you pay for everything.... always have they hand out for money after you pay a 320 dollars tuition.... strict on the color socks the teacher argue with you.
WonderMom Dom Typ_Pisces: Before you judge starting pointDo you for research , on the expense of Montessori school .Montessori is more expensive, then parochial school .This is gonna be expensive . No way around it !My Kid is 5 and she can read . The school is challenging, but 100% effective if you put 100% of your effort behind the curriculum . It it’s worth it if you want your child to have a step up. The school is expensive , it is. Frankly I think most of the negative comments come from people that don’t like the price. They what more Bang for their buck , their choice , I totally understand. I’m not happy about the extra added expenses. IE The kindergarten graduation fund raising fee. But I won’t be pressured. I pay my tuition every two weeks on time. And I don’t worry about the rest . Neither does the director , so she can’t be that money hungry . I get things paid off on my time frame , other then tuttion.
kyla thompson: The director is oblivious to the fact that all children are different, which means they all act different. They lack basic early childhood education knowledge. The directors concern is that school is operated as a boot camp for adults and not those of toddlers and small children. Money is of course the main concern.
Lashawn Webb: I absolutely love this place! I am very picky when it comes to my children's education but I must admit this place is like a hidden gem. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the school as a whole. The building is always clean, no matter what time I come in its practically spotless. My son has learned so much! He knows his numbers , days of the week, and months of the year in Spanish and his only three years old. The price may seem expensive but its comparable to Cornerstone which charges about four thousand more. The Director runs this place like a regular school and I am confident that when my son leaves he will be well prepared.
Renee Jones: My son was three years old when he first started there. He received a good education. But the staff was rude and picked on my son for wearing braids. The director is rude and just care about money. You have to buy everything for your children even lunch. I would not recommend this money hungry place. Eight hundred dollars a month for tuition is a bit much for these little children.
Shira M: This school is money hungry and only cares about your payment they charge you $310 maybe money more for your child to attend they don't provide food if you forget your child lunch you have to pay them for your child to eat they also charge for every event the school has. you would think the money will go toward the kids but no they also want you to buy a $10 school shirt for your child you would think that will come with the $310 you pay they also make you pay a week in advance so if you think the payment's are every 2weeks it's not they close at 6 if your a min late they will charge you as well if you want to pick your child up early they will tell you oh we don't do that you have to come at 6 on top of Christmas break is 2weeks long and they still want you to pay $310 and when your child returns they want you to pay another $310 so basically your paying them $310 for no reason they didn't potty train my son they kept calling me and telling me he use the bathroom on his self to find out they wasn't taking him to the bathroom he was going alone as well as they gave him a lot of water and milk he was only 2 years old at that time my son was always sick so if they tell you they are very clean they are not they also Called me to come pick my son up because he nose was running so half the time my son was not in school because he use the bathroom on his self or because his nose was running all the kids nose was running my son goes to a brand new school who supply food as well as they are open until midnight my son learns very well even more this school they didnt even fix up the play ground and its in a bad area so your child is in that school allday also they got a lawyer on me because I took my son out of the school when they wanted $310 for the 2weeks the kids was out of school I don't know why they think I owe them any money when I took my kid out of the school 2weeks before as well as they gave you a date and time you had to drop the money off for the 2 weeks they was out and if you didn't come on that date and time you had to pay a late fee I guess they think people don't work this school is horrible and don't support these rude money hungry women
