Canine To Five: what do users think?
A Stevens: I started bringing my rescue jack russell terrier/poodle mix, Davey, here for grooming in March when our previous groomer closed - and it has been such a dream experience. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and seem to genuinely love their work. Everyone is very chill and understanding and helpful. We’ve only been in a couple times and the staff already recognized us, which felt really sweet. The reminder texts and emails are super helpful but I don’t get inundated with emails from them (the monthly calendars are adorable). I also get a huge kick out of getting Davey’s “report card” when I pick him up from grooming. I assumed this was only for doggie daycare - but it genuinely lights me up a little to see he’s had a good day lol.Booking grooming is easy now that we’re on a schedule - the first appt I made did end up being about 6 weeks out from when I called so keep that in mind if you are just starting out - but I recently found out that one of the reasons is because they ensure they never have too many pets in the grooming area at one time so the dogs aren’t stressed and the groomers aren’t overwhelmed - which is honestly such a relief given my little guy isn’t great with crowds. And this just ensures that every dog is really getting their proper time and care.Davey grows his curls quick (my friends have likened him to a chia pet lol) and our first appt was a perfect storm of me getting sick and having to cancel an appt with his previous groomer, and then that shop closing a month later before I called to rebook (since they didn’t take reservations in advance) so he was really quite matted at our first appt. The groomer took this in stride and got Davey looking and feeling wonderful and never once made me feel bad about it. They clearly keep thorough notes in their system because they noted that Davey’s coat was in better condition this time when I came in - which was so cool to me that they could look back and have that information. While I was there, Christian was handling the grooming front desk and he was so personable and helpful - and I also noticed he was calling owners to let them know about scratches or hot spots groomers had found on dogs while grooming, or if a dog was having a harder time and asking if they could proceed with a groom that would be more comfortable for the dog. I’ve had Davey 10 years and a senior rescue aussie for 3 years before him - not once have I had a groomer call me about any of that before. If it’s happened, it’s always been something they tell me at pickup. The dedication to all of the dogs best care was really clear to me just observing this for a few minutes and made me feel so safe leaving Davey in their care. This time, I got the text that Davey was ready for pickup right in the middle of a last minute work project before I would be off early for the holiday weekend - and I called and asked if it would be okay if I finished up my work before coming to pickup. They were totally fine with that and said as long as I picked up before closing, it was no big deal. I took an hour to finish my work and Davey was a bouncy happy little guy when I got there - seemingly not fussed at all that he hung out there an extra hour. They also now have Saturdays available which is great - however our last couple appts have been during the work week and I just bring my laptop and work from one of the local cafes or delis. The location is really convenient for that. Although they do have an easy drop off point if you want to just drive up and park for a hot minute and then head back home.I wish Davey liked hanging out with other dogs so we could join in more of the events and activities they offer lol - but even just for grooming - I cannot recommend them enough.
Eve Montgomery: The staff are knowledgeable, understanding, compassionate, and kind. Canine to Five, in addition to having an awesome name, were quick to respond to my initial application and incredibly flexible with scheduling our first day visit/evaluation. As a first time daycare user, I felt comforted by the genuinely caring demeanor of all staff with whom I interacted. I trust that they took exceptional care of my little guy due to their detailed and informed feedback. Finding trustworthy and compassionate caregivers for my no. 1 sidekick takes away so much of my stress surrounding starting a new job and having to be away from him. I highly recommend Canine to Five!
Linda Manns: They do very good work and very patient
Bridgette Morris-Oneal: I 💝how Happy my dog BearBear is when he leaves the doggy spa
Biba Adams: My dog is well taken care of when he comes for grooming. I realize I should buy him lunch and I wish he got more water. But, he is taken care of.
Diana Wasaanung'gokwe Seales: This has been a wonderful place for my dogs for both doggie day care and grooming.
Devon Gardner: Staff was friendly and nice the environment was relaxing and just loved my dog cut and color
CLEO ELLEDGE: Awesome customer service and dog grooming is top notch in Detroit! Lots of recommendations for the place! Sade passed away…God blessed her as he has blessed me with her.
PEPS GIRL: After SEVERING TIES WITH @PETSMART LIVONIA /DEARBORN👎…..I took my baby Kyro, to CANINE TO FIVE MIDTOWN💙. The staff was so caring, Lisa was his groomer. He looked so clean, his coat very shiny, nails cut low much more. He looked like a new dog. I made an appointment for every 4-5 weeks. @PETSMART LIVONIA/DEARBORN 👎 said my boy was aggressive and that they couldn’t service us anymore. They’re liars!!!! My boy was giving doggie kisses to the CANINE TO 5💙 staffers. He is very loving and gets excited around other dogs. Thanks @PETSMART LIVONIA/DEARBORN 👎 for your poor customer service, which led me to choose a professional provider for my dog’s grooming needs. Thank you CANINE TO FIVE 💙💙for your patience with my boy Kyro❤️.
Tee Mac: Always enjoy coming here! The staff is amazing and super nice. Always attentive and helpful over the phone and great with Pablo for his nail trims! Can’t wait for our groomers appointment soon!
Angelina Carter: I love this place! My dog loves this place! All the staff is very attentive and caring. I travel about 20-30 minutes to get my dog here and I wouldn't change day care centers unless they built one closer to where I live
Bobby Brown II: Beans: woof woof!Me: you give Canine to Five 5 stars that’s cool.
Paula Doherty: We drive 40 min each way to bring our dog here. The staff is so friendly and are well trained to handle all different dog personalities!
Janay “MzSouthernCharm” Harris: They Clean and friendly
Sarah Baughman: Our puppy just had her first day here. We were nervous due to her lack of socialization with dogs, and her separation anxiety. However, Canine to Five made us so much more comfortable. They have answered all of our questions. They have been very kind and professional. They have webcams to check in on your pup throughout the day. Also, her report card at the end of the day made us feel so much better! We are so excited to continue taking our pup here, she loved it so much she didn’t want to leave at pick up. Canine to Five is very worth it! A great place to take your dog, so they’re not lonely throughout the day.
Ashley Tweedale: Love this place! The staff is very accommodating & friendly. My sweet boy Rico has such a blast there, and I love that I can pop in & watch him on the webcams as I please. 10/10 would recommend! I just wish they stayed open a little later like 9pm for pickups.
Mononoke: Very impressed with the care everyone had for my little furries on their first day. They were so relaxed when I picked them up. Also very happy on the prompt response of the front desk! And the thorough paw report 😊
Eric Green: Overall, great experience with this company and we take our dog here often for doggy daycare and boarding on occasion! I would recommend the puppy program for help training your dog and socializing them with others! My only gripe is nail trimming which they often miss the dewclaw but very happy with everything else and baths are a plus too!
Lydia Bourke: So friendly. I felt like you really knew how to deal with the behaviors of the dogs. Felt very confident in leaving my most precious possession with you!
Akira S: Canine To Five always takes good care of my fur baby. The staff is always friendly and prompt to assist with any questions.
Diana Gomez: Great place for my dog to socialize with other dogs while I am at work. Spots get full quick! Friendly staff!!

Doggie In the Window: what do users think?
Andrew S.: Our dog goes here once or twice a week and loves it. He comes home ready for dinner and bed.
Burt Beesome: I was not there as a dog owner. I came by on request of a very good friend . My only purpose was to talk and relate messages from my friend to the owner whom she has a long history with. I know nothing of the operation of this facility other than the rude woman (Lisa) at the reception desk. Met the owner briefly last week ,and came back today with another message from my friend in hopes of communication. Lisa is a crass person or she was certainly with me today , She was loud yelled at me , made me stop in my tracks 5 steps in . Would not let me get message out of my mouth , she yelled same thing twice, I tried to talk and was abruptly told in no uncertain terms that Owner was not interested in what I had to say . The owner was not there at the time but none the less , the way i was treated leaves little to be desired. Well The thrill I once had of meeting with Wendy and talking about how My own dog is descendant from her dog pictured on bldg. that has faded now . From what I have heard this place is suppose to be real nice, I've no clue , and I really do not think I will ever find out after being bum rushed from the front door. reading a few reviews I see Lisa has a questionable attitude with some .
Karrie: Very friendly atmosphere very friendly people well maintained very clean I love taking my dog there
Marissa Mullin: Our pups love coming here! We bring them for both daycare and boarding and they are always excited when we pull into the parking lot and can’t wait to go in to play. I love that the dogs are out during the day and not stuck inside a kennel. Wendy, Lisa and all the staff are absolutely amazing, thanks for always taking the best care of Boz & Gia (and our deeply missed Riggs ❤️)
Kirsten Dahlgren: My fur baby loves her play dates at Doggie in the Window…..when she realizes that is where we are going, I can barely hold onto her to get her inside she is so excited!
Nicole: I’m sad to leave a negative review for DITW. However, I had a terrible experience. Allow me to preface it by saying that my dogs had a great time and I think it’s great for dogs. It’s very well run. However, onto the negative. We scheduled and took our puppies for their evaluations the first week in December. It took about an hour for the whole process. I scheduled it months before. I chose DITW because of hearing about good experiences coupled with their competitive rates. After my boys “passed”, I quickly reserved (right after their evaluations) dates for boarding (during spring break). The person I spoke with said they were good to go, just needed to come one more time for puppy daycare to make sure they were comfortable. I brought them back a few weeks later for the daycare ($48 for the day). After that (they enjoyed a ton), I got a call letting me know we would have to put half down for their boarding over spring break. I said sure. Then I was told it would be $780. This was a lot more than I had planned on. This (I found out) was due to a new price increase of $10/day. I explained that I had made my reservations back when it was $68/day, so I should get that price, right? Nope. I also explained that I was upset and would the owner reconsider this time as I had taken a lot of time and money to get to this point. I was told nope. Sorry. So…if you’re ok with the price, you should go there. It’s very well organized and happy dogs. But, I was so upset about how they handed the situation, I’ve found a different spot for boarding.
Dana Tautfest: My appreciation has escalated since moving out of state, and no longer able to bring our dog here. Doggie In The Window is an amazing resource for your family pet. They treat your dog like family and all their customers with respect, warmth and kindness. Their facility is amazing. This is the best care available. I took my dog there for nine years on a regular basis.
Taylor Adams: I had booked an evaluation for my dog in the beginning for July as I needed somewhere to board my dog over Labor Day weekend. The appointment had to be rescheduled to nearly the end of August (8/20) per the owner. Two days before I called to find out how long the evaluation would take and was informed by staff that evaluations for that day were canceled. I never received a phone call, voicemail, or text regarding this. I didn’t get to speak with the owner until Monday 8/22 at which point she wasn’t apologetic or sympathetic towards my frustrating experience considering that now Labor Day is 2 weeks away.I would not recommend taking your dog here with the lack of communication and the difficulties getting your dog in for evaluation.
Luke Peterson: I don’t know where to begin. I would stay away from this place. Very understaffed. The workers there do not have any experience with handling dogs. I was told multiple times one of my dogs was aggressive but he really is a sweet dog. Myself and my dog trainer could not replicate any scenario that would trigger my dog like they told me. And when I would ask multiple times what happened, they would never get into specifics. Truly hard to fix a problem when there is not one. Any dog they deem “challenging” is not a fit for them and they do not want to work with you and your dog. My dogs like to chew on their leashes when excited and you could sense the staffs annoyance. Pretty sure my dogs were crated more then actually out playing with other dogs. Save your money and time and don’t go here.
Cgg15902 G: We have boarded our dog here many times for either one day or multiple and it seems every time he comes home sick. This has happened to him almost every time he has been there and we have no clue if it is other dogs getting him sick, or poor hygiene of the daycare itself. Won’t be going here anymore.
Cheyenne Brown: I love Lilly she precious
DEBBIE GARNER: Great groomers are wonderful my dog looks amazing ❤️
Taryn Asher: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Doggie in the Window. Violet has been boarding there for three years. When we pull into the parking lot, she gets so excited she can't contain herself :) She bounds to the door and can't even sit still enough long enough to be checked in. The facility with heated sidewalks and kind caring staff are amazing. Dogs are only in their cubicles from 10pm - 7am. They play the rest of the time!!! Other places cage animals wayyyyy too long. Violet comes home so tired from fun and activity - she sleeps for two days! Love DITW!
Olivia Shaw: Truly the best dog daycare in Metro Detroit. It is all about the dogs here with an amazing facility and trained staff.
Lindsay Royce: I have called this business several times and without me saying anything other than "hello", Lisa responds "I can't hear you" and hangs up. 99.9% of people these days use a cell phone with no access to a land line. I understand how a bad connection can be frustrating to a busy business (esp during these times) but never in my life have I not been given the chance to walk across the room to get better reception. We are new Berkley residents who won a stay for our dogs through the school district and we would rather eat the money than do business with someone who can't spare 10 seconds to answer the phone properly. We love this community and do everything we can to support local business but those is silly. Do better! You've lost what could have been a loyal customer.
Jawa of Darkness: This place is horrible. It crams several dogs in at once with about a HANDFUL of UNTRAINED staff!!! Fights have happened and dogs have gotten HURT!!! AVOID!!! RUN!!!!!
M S: Very great thank goodness for this amazing place we’re I can take my dog when I go to work!
Jasmine Hardy: Very petty manager (Wendy) and overcrowded play areas for the animals. Waste of time and money.
Jason Brown: Our Bella always has the greatest time and they take great care of her.
Will White: Friendly staff and clean playgrounds for the dogs. Easy check in and pick up.
Kimberley Bernzweig: My dog is exhausted after a day of play. If you have a friendly dog this is your place.

ken kopacki: The reception area, the entire resort was hospital clean no urine or feces smell the staff are outstanding. My Poodle came home all tired out from the inter action with the other guests.
Pam Anderson: We love Lil’ Dig Resort. I don’t need to worry about a large dog thinking my toy poodle is a squeaky toy. The place is clean and the staff are wonderful. I know Lily’s day is full of fun and love. I can leave her with the peace of mind that she’s well taken care of and happy. 🐩
Tim R: Our Havanese has been going to Lil Dogs for more than 10 years and we wouldn't think of leaving her anywhere else. We never a worry or are concerned about how she is - the facility and staff are top notch and take amazing care of her. She has been on a special diet since she was a pup and Lil Dogs is always so careful to make sure it is adhered to. She always comes back home as a happy healthy dog. We also have her groomed at Lil Dogs and are always super pleased with how she looks. Lil Dogs Resort is THE BEST!
A Trondle: Nice relaxing clean home environment. Owners and staff are great with the dogs. Very accommodating for the pet parents.
Denise LaForest: My dog Dane knows when its Monday and if I skip and work from home he gives me dirty looks all day. He adores all the staff and the friendships he has made with his companions has done wonders for his self esteem. The biggest unexpected benefit is that his body has gotten so much stronger he is a little beefcake now! Im positive his life has been extended by this entire experience and his well being improved beyond measure.
Danielle Lanthier: I have only ever entrusted the care of my "babies", two, 2 year old pugs, to the caring staff at The Lil Dogs Resort. I am very protective over them & want others to treat them with the upmost love & care. You can tell that all of the staff here love what they do & most importantly treat your lil loved ones as they would want their's treated. I will continue to use this facility for years to come!

Canine to Five: what do users think?
Autumn B.: Communications are thorough and timely. Flexible scheduling and payment options provide greater accessibility. Web cam feeds are clear enough to actually see what individual dogs are doing and who they're playing with. The rePAWt card is descriptive (and adorable!), as well as helpful to my training plan. GREAT customer service, both on the phone and in person! Happy to have so many options for my dog's growth offered by one company.
Shari Acho: I loved our first day and want to give a special shout-out to Serena. She was so wonderful and gave me immediate support when I had questions. She is amazing!!!!!!! Loved being able to watch my pup all day with the live cams. My puppy had a GREAT first day. I can’t wait to bring her back next week.
Michelle Coburn: 100% the best of the best! My dog comes home tired and happy every visit. I have a 2 year old Corgi so hard to drain energy. He just chills and sleeps after which is kinda amazing!
Christina Zanotti: Canine to Five has made such a fun difference in our puppy’s life! If we have a busy day, we feel so much better knowing he’s having fun with his dog and human friends at doggy daycare/puppy preschool rather than being home alone all day. Their boarding service is also excellent! Our pup always comes home happy and tired.
Jamison Mosshart: Customer service is always friendly and customer support is always quick with a human touch, they take great care of our sweet doggo when the time arises.
Laura Nowakowski: We love bringing our golden Mac here a few times a week on the days we work long hours. They are open late enough for pick up making daycare possible for us on days we cant get there until 730pm. I love being able to check on him on my lunch via the cameras, always to see his tail wagging happily as he runs around. Staff seem well-trained at monitoring and managing the dogs from what I've seen on the cameras and are always very friendly. We show up with a dog who is so excited to run into daycare he doesn't even look back when I let go of his leash and are returned a tired happy pup every evening!
Jeffrey Lassen: Very professional staff. My dog gets the best care when I'm away
Leah: They failed to email, text call or have a direct conversation regarding the issues they were having with me and unilaterally decided to refuse anymore booking. Which also included canceling a booking for boarding and did not inform me of this. I found out through an attempt to make a resy for day care the day before I left and noticed that my boarding rsvp was canceled.Highly unprofessional, poor communication, overwhelmed staff, not sure if the pups have water in the kennels. Mine were always showing signs of having water being withheld from them when they returned home.Edited to respond to their Reply. They are making false accusations which is a concern and even more unprofessional. Any of you put medications in the pups food to make sure they take them? To shed a little more light, it took me a minute to learn all the rules, I have a lot going on and my priority was to get the pups to day care, make sure they eat, get their medications and then make it back in time before they close to pick them up. I had a super tight squeeze because of where I work and was arriving to work late in the morning. Once it sunk into my head that every morning I would have to fill out a medication sheet I did just that. Then I got a message on one of the last days before they booted me out stating, oops they forgot to give Romeo his evening medication. So now they have a tranquilizer floating around and Romeo never got it. Wonder why I put it in their food? I think this place would be a great fit if you work 9-5, want to pay extra for your pups to eat and don't have reactive puppers. I got some cool places now to keep my loves and me happy. I had to wait a bit because of availability, people are mad chill, not ready to kick you out and make false and misleading statements on the Goggle. Best of luck if you choose Canine to Five, buyer beware.
Tim Wilson: *** Update April 2023 ***I was happy enough with the way they handled this incident to give them another try. Even though the free dog training never materialized (when talking with Canine to Five they said the training place would reach out to me but they never did). My dog has visited Canine to Five a few other times for doggie daycare and boarding since that first incident and the experiences have generally been very positive.I appreciate that Canine to Five is one of the few places around here that has cameras. I shudder to think what goes in places that do not! And I appreciate that Canine to Five seems to care, has a staff that is diligent about keeping the dogs' play area clean, etc. And while they're usually busy and have a lot of dogs, they have a cap and a waitlist which I appreciate. These are all things I do not take for granted after looking into alternatives that didn't do or have those things.Check-in and pickup process for daycare is often crowded and time-consuming, and the parking lot can be chaotic with so many cars, dogs, and people coming and going. And prices are high. But the good outweighs the bad - especially compared to competitors.************Took our small dog here to try day care. What started as a good experience was ruined by an employee who literally dragged my fearful little dog a great distance across the floor by a slip lead around his neck which seemed like it could have choked him.The place generally seemed very professionally run. Communication and web site were great setting things up. Desk staff was very friendly. Video cameras allowing you to watch your dog at play are very much appreciated - and an absolute must for me now after this experience...I appreciate that staff members need to ensure when dogs play roughly that things do not get out of had. I watched the live video cam and saw the person monitoring the "Tiny Town" room remove and isolate individual dogs frequently for cool-down periods. The method used - throwing what appears to be a slip lead like a lasso around the dog's neck and guiding it to a separate area - I can even understand might be the best or only option to safely do that in large group of dogs. However, when it was my dog's turn for a timeout, my dog appeared scared by the "lasso" when it was thrown around his neck - he's never been led by the neck before only a harness - and he tried to back away. But the staff member ignored his fear and literally dragged him by the lasso - effectively a choke rope - around his neck a long distance across the whole floor and into the isolated area.I was horrified while watching it live. Thankfully, my dog did not appear to be injured. Much to my relief, he continued to play again after the timeout period and appeared to be physically ok. But he is a recent rescue who is very scared of new humans. After having him home a few days I feel this incident undid a lot of progress we'd made in training him to trust people. He seems more fearful of men now.To their credit, Canine to Five did call the next day to ask me how things went and when I mentioned the incident, they quickly had management review the video footage. They apologized and said that was not normal procedure and they would coach the employee. And I received a call back the next day re-iterating it and saying the employee was newer (no excuse) and has been re-trained. Apparently, there are safer methods they should have employed for a dog that is resistant rather than dragging them across the floor with a choke lead around their neck. But having time to reflect, I'm not very re-assured. I'm left wondering why they did not properly train or screen this employee to safely handle dogs in the first place? Or why was he not monitored to ensure he was handling dogs appropriately? I hate to think this would keep happening - to my dog or to others - had I not happened to have been watching the live web cam at that moment!I wasn't offered a refund and I'm not feeling likely to return even though we desperately need these services.
Darnell Smith: Friendly staff and great facility. My dog seemed to enjoy her time making new friends.
Michael Riley: I recommend you take your puppy here. Very nice friendly Staffing. They know what they are doing. They always keep you updated about your dog. Thank you again very much we really appreciate it.
Alan Hejl: We love sending our pup here for daycare and boarding. Staff is always beyond friendly.
Kevin Sheridan, Jr: Great place and great people.
Sandy Leung: Just geting around to submitting a review. Took my newly adopted dog to Canine To Five for the first time last week. She was very nervous, as was I lol. I love how the staff was able to recognize when Niki was stressed and took the time to help her destress and she was able to rejoin the doggy group again. Her 2nd time there, which was this week, I could tell from the doggy cam she was a little more relaxed. The only suggestion I would make is, I wish the angle or location of the cam in tiny town was better. It seems so far, sometimes its hard to tell which one is my dog 🤣. Thank you Canine To Five for working with Niki.
Valisa Glover: I took my buddy here for the first time and he loved it. He is not neutered so he had private play. I thought he would be running out the door, but he was really sad to leave. He whined for a minute which let me know he loved Canine to Five. I love his report and the staff is so awesome. I am taking. my buddy back for overnight and just wanted to make sure he was and good hands. I know he will be now.
Imani Gissendanner: The facility, the service to their customers, and their structure all seem to be great in the few moments I was in there. They’ve got huge space a beautiful setup and have a well organized system (minus a hiccup here and there) but If I could give zero I would. The people seem like they are so nice and so sweet and I would like to still believe that they are. To people that they like. I did try to apply and get denied. I hoped to understand what did I do wrong during my process so that I could improve. No one had an answer for that. As I contacted everyone they told me to contact, I then was called impolite and rude from the supervisor Amanda but people I hadn’t spoke on the phone with for more than 2mins. I truly didn’t act that way towards and believe there was a misunderstanding and prejudgment based on the fact that I didn’t get the job. I simply and nicely asked what it was I did. They told me how I was after the working interview process which couldn’t have anything to do with why I got denied. They incorrectly judged me and my character while contradicting each other and themselves to keep from the fact that they had no real reason not to hire me. Ultimately I would’ve preferred to just hear that if that is the truth. I’m appalled at how I was treated and cut off from speaking as an applicant and wouldn’t recommend applying. Based on other reviews from employees they don’t rank high. I was told not to contact or go up to the place after already speaking with whom it was I was trying to reach. So Melissa the interviewer took it upon herself to go an extra mile to reach out to me and tell me how terrible of a person I was for trying to understand and contact those I was told to reach out to. Must be multiple forms of miscommunication throughout there. I wish good luck to the people who apply and to stay strong and apparently stay silent.
Melissa Hauser: Very informed, friendly and attentive staff. They answered all of my questions and were so sweet and gentle with our puppy. Safe environment for dogs. Our 10 month Cane Corso had so much fun and she was happily tired when we brought her home. I would highly recommend this daycare!
s stewart: My dog visited Canine to Five Ferndale for the first time yesterday. I was very pleased with the treatment she received. She was very nervous but the staff was great with her and reassuring with me. I watched as people were greeted pleasantly as they arrived. Most dogs were known by name. It seemed that everybody was happy to be there and that the dogs were treated well. We will be back
Karen Williams: The staff are very friendly and professional. My fury dog Retro was on the shy side, but with the staff help he will feel comfortable and will want to return. When I walked in it smelled so refreshing and the bldg was very clean. I ❤️ love the fact that I can see my Retro on the cam.
Susana Cooper: They loved my dog and they remember his name. He came back home happy. That’s all I care about. My Patrick is happy I’m happy!
sandra wiener: Love this place ❤️

Animal House Pet Services: what do users think?
Heather Cruz: They treat my dog like family. We have tried day camp at other facilities, but no other place seems to tire my dog out as much as they do. Their staff is very interactive and engaging.
Paul Prater: Best place hands down to take your dogs for daycare and boarding. Fantastic staff.
Mammagiggio: Great trainers and staff. They are patient with dogs who may prefer to have only individual play. Great groomer who can handle dogs who may not appreciate a spa day. Love their social media photos of the dogs during play time and on seasonal party days!
Chris M: Love this place! Animal House Pet Services is a 2nd home for Lily while we are on our trips. She's been going there for 3 years and it's always been a positive experience. The staff is friendly and amazing with her. I esp love the pics they post of her on their media page on the days she's there. I can be assured Lily is taken good care of when we can't take her with us.
Carolina DePaula: They were very unprofessional. I planned everything well in advance. Came in first to do all the paperwork and scheduled a trial daycare day to make sure my dog would do well there. I was told she did but you’re not allowed to see the area where the dogs stay. I was told both times I was there by each of the owners that a reservation was not needed and I could just drop in. When the day finally came that I needed to drop my dog off before work, I got there and was told they were sold out! I was left completely helpless. I was on my way to work and my day was completely derailed. The owner just said she didn’t have the kennels and moved in to the next customer, never apologized, never explained why I was given the wrong information. Had I known, I would’ve simply made an appointment since I did everything well in advance preparing for that day. I also emailed them and never heard back from them at all. I had purchased a 5-day package and of course I can’t get a refund even though I never used any of the days. The front of the business is also dirty and falling apart. I recommend All American Pet Resorts Lakeshore instead, it’s also nearby, they are clean, professional and treat not just the dogs but also their owners with respect. UPDATE: I left the same review on their Facebook page and got blocked from their page so I’m not sure if my review even shows up on there anymore. I would beware of this business. If this is how they treat their people, I don’t trust them with my dog.
Lori Melvin: I can't say enough good things about Animal House. Getting a puppy during a pandemic was tough and we struggled to get him socialized. Everyone at Animal House was so helpful and patient with us and once we put Parker in training, he came out a totally different dog. The staff is so kind to us and our furbabies.
G: Only been less than a handful of times so far but great staff and fun activities for doggy daycare
Nikki Ames: Great staff. Love the pictures they share online.
DAAN PAARKER: Very disappointed in treatment of our Pet and Manner towards Myself and Daughter by Owner. Un Professional. Owner/Trainer very aggressive in approach and was unable to stay calm and be patient upon first meeting of our dog. We were treated very rudely and dismissed in the parking lot as Animal House did not listen to our instructions on first introduction and created a Stressful situation for our pet and ourselves. They claim to be Trainers, but by the actions displayed on our visit I would not agree or advise taking your Pet to Animal House Pet services.
Rebecca T: They weren't equipped to handle my high energy Shepards & we were unprofessionally spoken to & asked to vacate permanently. My boys are now thriving at their welcoming & organized new doggie daycare.
Jk S: This place was the bomb! Caring people, informative and kind. Took care of my boy for three days! Excellent care.
Eva Nagy: Boarded my cat here for a week while we were on vacation and they took great care of her! I really appreciated the daily pictures they add to their Facebook page so I could see her cute little face while I was gone. Staff was friendly and attentive to my questions & their prices are very reasonable!
Cassandra Edwards: I can't say enough nice things about Animal House! Walter & Rosie loveeeee it here! I bring them twice a week and I know they're safe and cared for, and they come home pooped! I haven't spent a night apart from my little stinkers lol, but this is the only place I'd be comfortable boarding them. Highly recommend!!!
Emily Geier: Today we had day 1 of obedience classes. It was so organized and so so helpful. I'm excited to see what the next 5 weeks do if today was that great!
Josh Hall: We have borded our dogs here a few times. They are very friendly and take a million pictures of your pups. Our dogs love it here.
Niki Collis: I felt they took very good care of our dog while we went away for the weekend. I love that they post photos online several times a day. Prices are competitive with other local kennels.
Luci Gnass: The best place for great service and care for our pup! Everything we need and some, and for a great price! Love how they keep you updated through the day with pictures of the animals in camp online, also the care she receives!! 😊 We couldn't be happier and neither could Kasey!!!! Thank you Animal House!
Mark H: If you are boarding your dog(s) and/or cat(s) anywhere else then your pets are missing out! These people are very dedicated to what they do. We are very happy to have boarded our Buddy and Roxy here. We were concerned since this is the first time they have been away from home but our concerns have been relieved watching our pets every day on their Facebook page. Attached a pic of the Thanksgiving dinners they prepared for all the pets boarded there over the holiday (owner's option). You guys rock!
Margarita Ortiz: Dogs have fun!
Michael Zyla: Friendly and dog loving staff ! Will continue to board dog when needed!
charles steeg: I think my 5 star rating says it all! And i never give interest in leaving reviews.

Great Lakes Pups: what do users think?
Suzie Smith: Shut down the mills...to many in shelter...
Steve Bielaczyc: I'm not gonna lie, I was a little apprehensive about getting a puppy from a "puppy store". I visited 2 weeks ago and came home with our new family member, Angel, an adorable little Shih Tzu. We had 1st vet check-up yesterday, clean bill of health.I found the facility to be clean & organized, and Martin was extremely attentive & helpful, I'm So glad we stopped in.Thank you Martin! 🤗
Kevin Woyciechowski: Too expensive
Stephanie Soto: Best place to get a fur baby 💓 the owner provided amazing service and was super understanding with us!
eugenia killian: Responded prop probably
Alyssa Lee: I’ve been in many times and never once met the owner. Only the cleaning lady who can’t help with anything besides letting you in the building. She couldn’t tell me what kind of dogs they were, prices, or even when I can contact the owner. I left my number twice and after not hearing a response, called MULTIPLE times throughout the day over the span of 2 weeks. When I finally got in touch with the owner he said the dog was already being sold.A business should not pick up the phone 1/10 times and have someone working that has no idea what kind of products they’re even selling. Please take your business elsewhere.
Riley Demergis: Critical:ReliabilityI paid a lot of $$$ for a teacup yorkie and he is definitely not a teacup! He is a wonderful dog though, but I was told I was buying a teacup! This name was also a different name when I bought my pup. So Great Lakes is the newer name. Martin was who sold me my so called teacup.
mathew behrad: Nice place to go to
Eastwoodscorpio: The puppies are very cute but the prices are very high.
Angel Eyes: Beautiful pups but priced to high
Patty: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessVery happy with my purchase, the puppy is adorable and very healthy, the place is very clean and the lady in charge of cleaning and taking care of the puppies is very nice! Martin the owner is very nice, helped me throughout the process and answered all of my question. I definitely recommend this place!
Teresa Deagle: It is somewhat hard to find bc it's in a Long Industrial Bldg. Called Maplewood . Once you enter the Parking lot it goes to the left and is very long. On the doors to the right they have letters A-Z and the Great Lakes Pups is toward the very end marked with the letter "V" . It is a small, but very clean, garage like area with Tea Cup Pups of diff. Breeds and only 4 were there when I visited. Martin, the Owner, is very kind and gets New Pups in All the time. Although, very pricey, the pups are Vetted, have 1 yr. Guarantees along with a Training Gift Cert. & Free Microchip. Also, has Financing available. Best Wishes.
Vanessa Donelson: Very professional
Carlo Chalhoub: Great detailed website.
James Hislop: Great experience, would highly recommend.
Sandy Yoaresh: Positive:ProfessionalismSooooo in love with our new Teddy bear. Great place! Martin really help made the process smooth for us to get our first puppy thank you Martin you make our Christmas special this year
Monica Wafford: Lot of choices but$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Margaret Rogers: The puppy is amazing And the people who breed them are truly remarkable. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a great companion.
tina 11: Awesome experience! Martin was very professional and seemed to have a lot of knowledge. Love my new puppy!
Amber Brooks: Expensive
Micheal Meriweather: False advertisement they show puppies just to get you to the door and that's not the pups they actually have

Fetch Pet Care of Royal Oak - Birmingham: what do users think?
Kai Daniels: I recently used the services of Fetch and I was thoroughly impressed with their team, system, and services. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and that I was satisfied with the outcome. Their personalized approach and attention to detail were exceptional, and they took the time to understand my requirements and provide me with tailored solutions. What stood out to me the most was their efficient system - it made the entire process seamless and easy to follow. Their team was always available to answer any questions or concerns I had, and their excellent customer service made the experience all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend Fetch to anyone looking for reliable and efficient services.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend Fetch to anyone in need of their services. I look forward to working with them again in the future!
Heather DiNunzio: My cats love our cat sitter! I never have to worry about my cats when I’m on vacation. Thank you!
C. Peruski: A great pet sitting service for our cat!
Carolyn Gaulden: Trustworthy and reliable
Jeff Kendall: Best dog walking and boarding service around.
Eydie Hostetler: Not a clu. Why are you asking me why I even use the service which I never did.
bonnie cameron: I Love that they Love the Pups like they Love their own treats them like family
Amanda Wright: FETCH IS AMAZING. I've been using them for over 6 months and have had nothing but wonderful walkers/caretakers!! They provide so many options, all reasonably priced, including quick let outs, walks, all day daycare for those of us that work! And every walker that you are introduced to is local, super flexible, reliable, and so so caring. I know that I can fully trust any caretaker that fetch employs/refers to me! Weekend, weekday, morning or evening, FETCH has always found someone to help me out when I'm in a last minute bind. They always send an update, whether it's a quick text, photograph, etc. The current owners, Marie and Jack, are so so wonderful! Can’t recommend enough.
Eve Sandoval: I have been cleaning turtles for a household twice a month for the last two years and I have personally witnessed in the last year, not one, not two, but three times this same household of pets getting forgotten about. Enough is enough!! The first time Fetch's dog walker forgot the midday and the dogs soiled the house (which they never do). I cleaned up the mess and contacted the owner of Fetch immediately. The second time I walked in to find the dog walker let the dogs out back, then left to do another pet sit.The third, and most recent episode I walked into; three very distress dogs, a whole lot of dog mess, and one very injured parakeet. The water dish for the dogs and the parakeet were almost empty. The parakeets hadn't been fed in what appeared to be days and someone left an overhead light on all day and night for them. Birds need darkness to sleep. That's most likely why one attacked the other, it was hungry and unable to sleep. The house was a mess!!! I arrived at 11am to find no one had been there all morning. The mail and about six newspapers were piled on the front porch, there was a lot of dog feces in the kitchen garbage and on the floor along with urine. There were valuable household items scattered about on the floor and the dogs were very sad. This is all because of neglect from careless pet sitters!I am completely irritated by this situation and want to make people aware that this could be your home while you are away. I hear horror stories all the time. It's extremely important to ask questions when hiring anyone to care for your home, whether a neighbor, friend or a company.I contacted the owner of the home and expressed my concern. In addition to taking pictures, I brought my partner and sister over to help out and they both witnessed the whole situation and were both disappointed at the lack of care and the condition of the home.- - My review has absolutely nothing to do with competition. I find it ironic that three 5 star reviews showed up the same day I posted this. I do not doubt that Fetch of Royal Oak has offered many clients with good service and will continue to do so. I wrote this review because this situation brought tears to my eyes and I felt I needed to share it.
Drew Hopkins: We have used Fetch Pet Care Royal Oak for 2 years and absolutely love their service. Talk about on time, all the time 5 days a week, they are wonderful. She is so reliable and accommodating with any request and the sudden emergency. We have been blessed with an amazing young staff member who the dogs love and so do we!
Chris VanSice: We just got a puppy and needed someone to watch him while we went on an extended weekend trip. Fetch Pet Care was just what we needed. Everyone was so nice and the home where our puppy stayed was clean and had a lovely yard. We were sent regular updates about our puppy including pictures. It made us feel so much better knowing that our puppy was well taken care of while we were away. We will definitely use Fetch Pet Care again and have already recommended them to friends and family. My mom also used Fetch for her dog and loved them as much as we did.
Christina Rader: I have used Fetch Pet Care many times and I have always had an amazing experience! The dog walkers and sitters are dependable, personable and great with my dog. I would highly recommend using them!

Hounds Town Metro Detroit: what do users think?
Michelle Jay: We love Houndstown for our dog Marley! The staff is wonderful and she has so much fun making new dog friends!
Kauser Ferdous: My dog is always excited to go here for daycare
Deborah Astemborski: Hounds town is a great place for dogs. The meet & greet session is a refreshing bonus to introduce your pet to other dogs & it’s free! Thumbs up
Rachel Cassidy: Positive:ReliabilityMabel loves it here, and they are so nice! They have parties for the dogs, and let them play all day, and offer spa days. We love it!
Ariana Johnson: We can't say enough great things about HoundsTown! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and always go the extra mile for my pup. The activities are fun and festive, the boarding amenities are top-notch, and we loved receiving daily pupdates emails while we were on vacation. Highly recommended - this place is everything our family could ask for in a doggy daycare!
Jennifer Hodroge: My dog loves to go to Hound Town! I’ve used their services for boarding and day care and my pup is always exhausted in the best way when I pick her up. All the staff is very caring and gets to know the specifics of caring for my dog, enabling me to not worry when I have to go out of town. Highly recommend!!
Gino Roncelli: Best doggy daycare. Shout out to Travis for always sending hilarious email updates of the puppies playing while we’re away!
Ronda Davis: Great big place for any size dog. Very informative owner ..Me and Benson will be back
Crystal Anne Stamps: Love love this company ❤️ they are so awesome and welcome Lucky in with open arms. Will recommend you guys anytime and you will be seeing Lucky again. Thank you guys and love the little report card ❤️ 💙
Lori Cho: First day for 8 month old Felix. He was super excited! They were very friendly and informative at drop off and pick up. He was sleeping all the way home. Will be back!
Leslie Jones: LOVE Hounds Town! Our dog always has the best time here. The staff are very friendly.
Marien Prakash: Bailey always has a wonderful time at Hounds Town! When the power outages hit Metro Detroit, they were able to accommodate Bailey last minute while we figured out our situation. Bailey comes back home tired and exhausted from the playing which is a tell tale sign that she has had the best time there!
Jax Zula: First timer, we got the pup a Spa Bath! Steph and the rest of the staff were friendly and patient with the senior gal's nervous quirks for meeting new people. Her coat is super soft and her nails trimmed up nicely. You can just tell she enjoyed her pampering today!
Brianne Pieprzak: Positive:Professionalism,ReliabilityMy dog is always so excited to go to daycare at HoundsTown! They do an amazing job watching over all the animals and they have the best time! They also do so many fun events that I love to see the cute pictures of!
Donna Roush: Hounds Town was Absolutely Amazing with my 2 pups. This was the first time they ever stayed at a daycare before and they were treated so nice and given alot of love. They will definitely be staying at Hounds Town when we go to Florida for spring break. Thank you again Hounds Town for treating my 2 girls so great!! 🐕🐕
Cameron Coleman: Houndstown takes such good care of my senior dog, Pup. As they feed and medicate my dog consistently on schedule; and email detailed reports as to Pup’s activities with other dogs, it is easy to say they are professional and organized. More than that, though, I love Houndstown because it is clear that the staff truly love all dogs, including my old pal who snores loudly, is incontinent, and is sometimes simply over it. When I call Houndstown to book accommodations, the staff are always friendly and inquire about how my dog is doing. When he arrives at the facility, they seem genuinely happy to see him. It is worth noting that I don’t live in the area. I pass many boarding facilities in my 25 mile drive to Houndstown in Troy because Puppy enjoys his time there and I deeply appreciate the care HT consistently provides my furbaby.
Barb Young: First time sending my cat to Hounds Town. They were amazing, and they also send you pics of your pet. Thank you for taking care of her!!!
Molly Gac: My pup loves coming here! He has really come out of shell since he started coming to Hounds Town. The staff is great, all very friendly and they do a great job trimming his nails.
Paul Lacasse: It was the first time for my wife and and Ozzie. Stephanie was great and the facility is impressive. We will definitely start bringing him regularly.
Cyndi Heins: Always a delight. Charlie loves it there. You can tell the staff really loves the dogs. They are really nice to people too. 😃
Tim Lovell: Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. First day meet and greet was handled very professionally. I received a report card for my dog at the end of the first day letting me know how he did that day. Overall a great experience.

Dogtopia of Birmingham: what do users think?
Christina Naifeh: So inviting to my pup and me, the staff here is really great!
Alison Bazil: Great place for our dog to stay. The workers take good care of Kylo when we have to be gone. He comes home happy and tired!
Erica: We love Dogtopia because it feels like a real ‘daycare’… not a warehouse or kennel, and this was important to us. We’ve been bringing our puppy since he was old enough to socialize. Staff is always friendly- remembers our dog’s name, how he ate/played that day, and we’ve caught snuggles on the camera. Center is clean and homey. Hours are accommodating. Scheduling app is easy to use. Price is slightly higher compared to other centers, but worth it.
Leslie Halliburton: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,ResponsivenessThe cleanliness, the webcam and the friendly staff. Bear is new to Dogtopia, he has had 2 - 8 hour play days thus far. So far is been great, Bear seems happy.
Kalie Stephens: My girls love going here. Dogtopia is wonderful I know that they are well taken care of when they are here.
Kelsey Southers: Updating my review:A few months ago, we had an incident where one of the workers was unnecessarily physical with our dog and we saw it on camera. We had been taking our dog here consistently over the last year. He loved all of the staff, other dogs, playtime, etc.We were able to speak with the manager to get more information on what happened. After talking it though, we decided to bring our dog back, and he has been loving it since. All of the staff is extremely friendly, and always seem happy when I bring my dog in.
Erin Jean Dolan: Loved taking my timid dog to dogtopia. She warmed up quickly and I love watching the webcams! Clean and friendly environment
Faith P: My miniature schnauzer was well cared for during his stay. Also, I like that the dogs have a rest period during the day.
Heather Gardner: Great staff but prices are becoming extremely expensive for the services offered.
Mona Aggarwal: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ReliabilityAshley and Michael are wonderful! They are so caring with the dogs! My dog is always excited to go. It's also nice to be able to watch your dogs during the day with the webcams.
James Douglas: I was not satisfied with my dog second visit to Birmingham Dogtopia. I drop Mu off Friday a week ago at 11am and picked him up about 5:45 pm. He was wheezing, coughing, and vomited there in the lobby. I had to take him to vet ( upper respiratory infection). He exhibited none of these symptoms before. I called the office and was told it was kennel cold and may have resulted from this time of year and number if dogs kept in the room at Dogtopia.
Gerald Chernow: Great
Abby Devine: My dog loves spending time here and I feel confident in their ability to manage my dog who is definitely on the high-energy end of things! We love dogtopia!
barbara rocco: My dog loves playing and staying at dogtopia. The staff is great and love on him. I feel safe and comfortable leaving my boy there.
Nina Ross: I just love that you all know my puppy by name when you see him, he is always sooo excited to come to day care and you all keep him check when he needs it. And all the little holiday parties and photos are so sweet. The place is always clean and no bad smells considering there's a ton of dogs there. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating.
Carly: Out of 3 local daycares we were considering, dogtopia had the best approach to introducing new dogs to the facility. They start slow during the meet and greet by introducing to just a few pups, then allow them to play with bigger group once they pass the tests. Our 5 month old aussie adjusted quickly and loves it so much! The app is also super easy to navigate and it's awesome being able to book appointments online , as well as seeing our furbaby on the Webcams! We are definitely going to be coming here regularly
Matthew D: Once a great option, now no longer in consideration. Completely unreasonable & inflexible, they denied us boarding bc it was over 6 months since our dog last boarded there (it was just lockdown!) and our dog has stayed there a million times before. Required a daycare visit but we showed up with 7.5 hours to go in the day and they said it requires 8 hours...REALLY?! Ruined our vacation plans for the next day. Amazed they wouldn’t make an “exception” in this case.
Pamela Kornfeld: Staff is friendly and so kind to the pups. My dog loves going!
Ronny Fakhoury: Great people great stuff very loving and always makes my seven and a half month old Rottweiler happy from what is a puppy loves all the workers
Antonio Emilio Sánchez: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueIn my search for a dog boarding facility I came across dogtopia and I couldn't be happier. The approach they took into making my dog feel at ease and socialize with other dogs before actually boarding her has been amazing!! I totally recommend this place.
Andrea Batlemento: Ashley and Michael are exceptional at their jobs. They were kind and patient with Saylor and gave me a full report after her first day at Dogtopia. I trust them with Saylor 100% I love how the entire dog rooms are open and the kennels for their down time are in the same room and open so the dogs can see each other. It reminds me of kindergarten when the little kids go down for nap time... super cute. of course, Saylor was the last one to be put in her kennel as she is a full time party girl and doesn't think she needs a nap. The facility is clean, does not have a weird smell like some other doggie daycares, and the parking lot makes for an easy drop off and pick up. I overall love Dogtopia and the staff that I have met so far! AND most importantly, Saylor loves it too!
