EastEats: what do users think?
Nancy Pryor: EastEats made the pandemic bearable. You could still go out and eat where the food was great and the servers were very nice. I hope they open back up…Detroit needs EastEats.Vegetarian options: EastEats always had a tasty vegetarian dish.
None Ya Business: I live on the RESIDENTIAL street that these people put they're business... It's ALREADY a small street and now you add cars on both sides of the street. Thanks a lot. I wish you would have picked somewhere that has parking because my neighborhood street shouldn't be parking for your business. Didnt even consider the people that live there... It is thousands of EMPTY STREETS in detroit, why mine??? Please go away. At the very least ask people to only park on 1 side of the street.
melissa brown: Had the birria tacos and elote wings 5 ⭐️. Dope spot. I’d recommend
Ms. Shaina Jones: Let me start by saying that the entrées were excellent; quite tastefully made. The flavours were there and I could taste the freshness of the food. The ambience was also something that seemed as if you were in your own little world, and I really felt the vibe. The entire concept of East Eats is thoughtfully done, but not thorough. My friend and I ordered here to eat, and according to what we ordered (for Jerk Night, during Black Restaurant Week), we expected to receive a salad, entrée, and dessert after I emailed inquiring about our order. However, that was not the case. After speaking to a manager, we finally got to the bottom of the problem. Apparently, some menus do not include the salad and dessert, which is understandable; but that is something that needs to be made clear when making a purchase of over $100, when we could have gotten carry out for the same exact thing (of entrées ONLY), for under $40. And for their part, I understand we were paying for the usage of the igloo in the cost as well...which as I said, I liked the ambience, so no problem there.Overall, I would love to see the concept really take off. There are just a few issues to fix.
Allecia Nicholson: The food wasn't edible. We order the fry rice and spring rolls they were soak in oil. $200 plus for food we didn't touch. Total waste of money. The ambiance and atmosphere was good .
andrew nicholson: This place was really terrible biggest mistake I’ve even made in my life never again
Blaaq Gold: An enjoyable experience EVERYTIME! The food and music are always on point at East Eats.
Dani Aston: I can’t speak to the food itself as my reservations were cancelled but my booking experience did not leave me warm and fuzzy to say the least. First off this place has no phone number which is a growing trend, however if you have no phone number you should have an active response team for social media. I left the restaurant a message on its ig page 2 weeks ago and I still don’t have a response. While the restaurant requires you to pay in advance with no cancellations they canceled my reservations the morning of my date which was Fathers Day. The email and text cancelling my reservations had a huge typo which was stating an incorrect date as the date of my reservations which created a lot of confusion. Of course this place doesn’t have a phone number so I had to wait the couple of hours it took for the email that I sent to receive a response verifying that the email was wrong but my reservations were indeed cancelled. I don’t understand how a restaurant who requires so much in advance would allow them to get into a position to cancel reservations on the morning of. I think the email and text did apologize but I wasn’t offered any discounts to rebook or anything, fortunately my money was returned but Please do better!
Afford Coleman: Food good, however the price outweighed what was offered. Need more ambiance with no insects
Alvin Smith: Nice place. Dome tents I believe are the best way to describe it. Outside. Nice music. Not the best parking. Food was great.
Cidney Calloway: Went to support the Nourish Your Dome menu during Women's History Month. I thought it was great the restuarant decided to boost women owned and operated setups during this month of appreciation.Had the opportunity to dine with my sisters and was surprised to see the sustainability efforts implemented through out the property. Repurposed church benchs and school chairs gave the experiance an overall relaxed vibe while the domes were easy to make comfortable with the ventilation flaps and heaters upon request. Landscaping gave the ambiance a warm and inviting boost. I have to plan a trip in the evening to experience dining under the lights.Staff was visible and accessible.Food was SUPERB!Cant wait to go back!
April Foust: Ordered all vegan dishes but non vegan friends can order normal food too! It was delicious! My main course was the breaded cauliflower "wings" with rice and ginger. The sweet potato fries were good (though they were soft, no crunch). The vanilla ice cream had a nice orange zest to it and it was delicious! I was actually not expecting to like it because I usually hate anything that tastes remotely like coconut but the orange zest and vanilla flavor complimented it well enough that I barely noticed the coconut.Overall very happy with my meal and experience. The atmosphere was interesting because you get to be in a cozy little bubble with your friends. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Bill Wenzell: What a scam. All these positive reviews must be done by blood relatives. No way a reasonable person would enjoy the experience unless they have incredibly low standards. A $10 cover per person (including for my 3 year old daughter) to sit on a wobbly old church pew bench in an empty neighborhood lot. Food is prepared off site and brought to you in to go containers. Sweet potato fries were soggy and not edible. To get reservations, you must order your food and pay ahead of time, including the ridiculous cover charge. For two small entrees and one appetizer, it cost me $84. What a joke! They brought us water and then charged it on my credit card after the fact. Needless to say, will not be going back.
Nicole Pennington: Absolutely amazing and the food was delicious!
Saito Art: Really chill environment. Every reservation had their own dome and the food was incredible! The staff had great energy and the music kept everything lively. Loved everything about it
Lynn Spears: My friends and I were there on 4/5/2021 and we had a ball. We really enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and the experience. Ms. Sains food was phenomenal 😋 especially the soup. Got some to go! We're planning another visit very soon.
Adam Nason: If you're looking for delicious food and an amazing ambiance, these guys have perfected the game. Individual dining, delicious food, bring your own drinks and just relax. The live music was so perfectly in tune with the whole vibe. This isn't a regular place. This is a whole experience. They were kind, accommodating, fun to talk to. I will seriously recommend this to anyone looking to have an incredible time.Thank you all for cultivating such an exceptional experience. I will happily be back another night.
Lloyd Walker: I and my friend had a wonderful time at East Eats. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was top notch. The fish was cooked to perfection and was thoroughly enjoyed. Chef Stain really puts love in her cooking.
Catherine Scales: The food was so good! And it was a fun experience to eat in an igloo. But since the kitchen is off-site, you eat your food out of takeout containers. I just think you're paying way too much to eat out of a takeout container. At that price, I want to pay for the restaurant experience.
Daniel Le: It was great and unique experience and COVID friendly. Food was already placed in some when we sat down.
Angelique Griggs: If a chill vibe, personal space and a variety of uniquely prepared dishes appeal to you, check out East Eats! Whether it's a date night, group of friends just hanging out and looking for a good meal or out of towner's looking for a quiet, out of the way experience, this place is a must see!!!

Lionell Carr: Terrible experience, will not be returning. We decided to sit at the bar, catch the game and have dinner. I ordered the lobster corndogs, fingerling Potatoes for myself. My wife had the steak, veggie and mash, with cocktails. Wait time was Normal. My corndogs had shells in them, I sent them back, for a new order of them and again shells were in them too. Highly disappointed because I talked about them a week prior with great expectations. They asked did I want to order something else. I absolutely did not want too. Because of food the hiccup, my wife shared her food with me. The wife's food was so so. The steak was over cooked, the tastiest thing were the Mash potatoes. The manager came over, apologized he did credit the bill that was approximately $200. Leaving us with the responsibility of just the drinks. Unfortunately, that was discouraging enough that I will not return. (5/20/23)

Donovan E: Birthday dinner 11/23/22 called for reservations. The lady that answered the phone indicated no reservation required, but please arrive before 8:30 p.m. we were only a mile away. Upon arrival we went directly to the host stand. We were escorted to a table which was far away from everyone else - we inquired why we were sitting away from everyone. The greeter became rude and indicated to be seated in the main part of the restaurant you needed a reservation. Huh wait !! we called 15 mins earlier and was told no reservation required. I requested a manager and after some spirited discussion we were seated at a table in the main part of the restaurant. The greeting/host staff should be replaced. They are rude, unprofessional, unapologetic with zero client skills. The waiter was nice, but slow slow slow- no dishes cleared after use. The entrées were just ok. The entertainment was excellent. What happened to the dress code ? I won't return and cannot recommend this spot
Rico J: There is not ENOUGH good things to say about this place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Heather Ford: Nice dinner, old school, won’t be back. Waiter was very nice, but he had to write everything down and wasn’t confident. It’s all good but you just expect more for mandatory gratuity and dress code, expensive seafood spot. Waited on our drinks for too long. Average all around. Places like this that were hot in the 90’s need to step up their game. The dress code is ridiculous. If you wanna demand 5 star, then the food, service and decor need to be 5 and it’s a 3 at best.
Mark Pisani: Nice ambiance and good food. Not excellent though. There are steak houses in the northern metro area with better tasting food for $20 per meat slab. Anyway, turn is the 20% default gratuity. While the waitress deserved every cent of it, I feels like a forced tax.
William Rawls: Parking: Your Valet ticket will be validated to $15 if you eat in restaurantFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Lobster Bisque, Boston Clam Chowder Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Valet …More

Love Luv: I decided to surprise my fiancé with a nice dinner for his birthday, let’s say we both left unsatisfied!!Definitely overpriced for what you get.. I expected a fine experience and for the price I was disappointed.. food was not great I’ve had better for much less..I made reservations to have a window table a week prior we didn’t get seated by window…
Tak Kadoguchi: I've never been somewhere where they take your food from you while you're eating it i.e the bread basket. Just walked up to the table didn't say anything and remove the plates right from in front of us? Mashed potatoes were cold had better steak at Texas Roadhouse way overpriced and definitely overhyped. I've eaten at some of the nicest restaurant in the country and have never had anybody just come and move plates like that right from in front of us.
Larry Kestin: Food is good, but pricey. Beautiful view of the Detroit River and Windsor, Canada. Nice atmosphere with live piano player at night. Service is just ok for this level of restaurant.Recommended dishes Spicy Tuna Tartar, Filet Mingon Mashed Potatoes with Asparagus Spear a and 12 Oz South African Lobster Tail, New York Cheesecake …More
Dennis Berger: Best seafood you will find anywhere, no exaggeration! My wife and I went for our anniversary celebration. The view of the Detroit River from almost anywhere you sit is delightful. Service was impeccable. We especially appreciated the elevation of the humble white bean to a delectable complimentary appetizer, a Joe Muer tradition. I had the halibut special which included a good size crab cake and a large scallop with vegetables and a delicious sauce. My wife had walleye, also great. Drinks were generous and the deserts amazing. It’s expensive but a good value for what you get.
Mary Cassidy: Avoid Joe Muer Seafood! We made reservations at this restaurant to eat seafood and enjoy the beautiful sights. We made our reservation by phone, spoke to a real person and was not informed of the restaurant policies. Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were unable to sit at our reserved table due to dress code. So we sat in a dark, unappealing lounge. I ordered the crab, I received ONE crab leg. One. Nothing came with the ONE crab leg. I was not offered anything nor was I informed that nothing came with the ONE crab leg. Prices were not posted on the menu and the waiter was unable to answer questions about the price or quantity of food. The ONE crab leg was $75.00 and then the restaurant added an automatic 20% tip. Wow! This was not a very nice experience. There are some poor business practices being implemented at this restaurant.
Gerald Perry: Outstanding seafood restaurant with gorgeous views of the Detroit River. Old school in the right ways and perfect.
Estevan Balderrama: One of the most amazing meals I've had in Detroit. Perfect for a special occasion.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Oysters Rockefeller, Coconut Cake Slice …More

SheWolf Pastificio & Bar: what do users think?
Randy S: Phenomenal food, great service, upscale trendy atmosphere.
S Ahmed: Vibes were immaculate, food was delicious. But unless you’re tryna pay $30 for 6 pieces of noodles ain’t worth it. Left hungry and broke
Kristian Hulgard: Best meal I’ve had in a long time. All the dishes I tried was absolutely lovely.Fantastic food and a down to earth atmosphere….. my kind of place. Special shout out to Michael, the sommelier, who kept bringing awesome pairings.10/10
Allie Piippo: Beautiful decor and excellent service, but the food was overpriced. It was good, but nothing you can't get better, more creatively, somewhere else in Detroit at a more reasonable price point. Appetizers were better than the entrées.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Stuffed Pasta, Carpaccio …More
Kamal Alashkar: SheWolf is a culinary gem! From start to finish, our experience was exceptional. The ambiance was warm and inviting, the service was impeccable, and the food was simply extraordinary. The staff at SheWolf were attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience. We were truly impressed by the passion and dedication of the entire team. For an unforgettable Italian dining experience, don't miss the chance to visit SheWolf!
Elizabeth Mansfield: What I had was wonderful, but only had one drink and an app because bartenders gave terrible service so I left. This is the first time I have left a $0 tip.
Ryan Gabrielli: Loved the vibe here, service was great, food was delicious. Yes, it was pricey, but we knew ahead of time the prices and what we expected to pay.
Vincent Brennan: Expensive but VERY good.
MT: We really enjoyed our meal at SW. that said, I truly hoped for “Pasta” to be the centerpiece. It wasn’t. Advertising as house made pasta , and it sure is, our dishes were all centers around either the protein or the sauce. Even ciabatta bread was served with butter not EVOO.We will probably be eating here again but next time we shall ask for just pasta with fresh w and some great olive oil on it.

Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails: what do users think?
Lauren Thul: This was our first meal, on our first trip to Detroit, and it was delightful! Maricela was a fantastic server that made us feel so welcome and gave us lots of tips and suggestions for exploring the city. As a gluten-free customer, she made it super easy for me to know what was GF friendly. The food was so delicious, and I've never seen a selection of Chartreuse (my favorite liquor) quite like this. Atmosphere was lovely without being pretentious. We can't wait to return to Detroit and hopefully see Maricela again!
Valerie Rusinowski: This place is always great - but if you want extra superb ask for Katie as your server!! She makes the experience extra!!
Kashyap Sigdel: Possibly the best hospitality I've ever received at a restaurant. Everyone did a fantastic job. Food was great and ambiance was great as well. Food portions are a little small so I'd recommend getting more than you think you need. The place was packed when we went for dinner on a Tuesday, so it was a little loud, but other than that, I'd give this restaurant 10 stars!
TImmy Go HAM: Had the twice cook egg salad & duck confit outstanding with wonderful serviceFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Crispy Duck Confit …More

All were delicious:-)Dietary restrictions: The waitress crossed off my menu all the dishes I had a food allergy to

K. L.M.: I've been here a number of times, and never had a dish I didn't like. Nothing has even been "meh." I'm glad they have a menu that isn't overwhelming, because I already feel major FOMO when picking what to get! My husband an I cam back for our anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond. We'll continue to be return customers for many years.Dietary restrictions: My husband and I had a minimony where we had our immediate family witness our legally binding wedding ceremony (the courthouse was still shut down for weddings due to COVID) at a gallery in the DIA. We chose Chartreuse for dinner afterward, partially due to proximity, but also because the menu looked great, and they were willing to work with a number of different dietary restrictions for everyone in the group. Everyone left giving rave reviews! Meal ingredients were either tweaked or the rare dish that couldn't be made without the trigger/allergen was struck off the family member's menu. Above and beyond for 3 people with highly specific dietary needs.
Brandon Gomes: Great menu, food was tasty. We had four dishes, including dessert plus a couple of cocktails. The chartreuse was a great new experience, tried the green and the yellow, amazing in cocktails. The shareable plates model is great, although it is better for some dishes more than others. But the service was great, the atmosphere was awesome (definitely recommend for dinner dates), and the flavors here are lovely. A little overzealous with the microgreens in my opinion but overall worth it.
CoolBeansTexarkana “Mrs. Peaches” Tracey's Daughter: Service: 5/5More
Jenny Heinze: Amazing cocktails. Ask for recommendations. And wonderful vegetarian options!I had to update my review after our visit tonight. The service team is exceptional, all working as one. Taking time to listen and explain their delicious dishes. Sensual dining at it's best and an amazing team!Dietary restrictions: Your server will explain all gluten-free options and the kitchen will accommodate your needs.
Pavlov Iryna: This place made my Birthday with a spark. Let me tell you this, I never come back to places with poor service. well this place is great! Hostess was super sweet and gave me a birthday card that was signed by the servers, it was so sweet! Our server was super nice, cool and friendly. Food was amazing, it is perfect for everyone who appreciate a good cuisine. They have a seasonal menu which is always interesting! Bar is great as well. My husband and I are cocktail buffs and pretty picky ones, and their cocktails are delicious and in point. The place itself has a character too, sort of rustic French in one of the old Detroit building. Overall it’s a good restaurant for this who appreciate good food and good drinks. Recommend!
Nadja Becker: Pretty decent food.Absolut good cocktails.Gluten free food available.I really enjoyed every bite of it. Good place to go after visiting the DIADietary restrictions: Gluten free

I would recommend this as a great brunch choice if you want to meet friends, with family or a date.Big shout out to the entire team for pulling of a great restaurant.

Lames Strohs: A work of art. A+
Rachel Mullins: Food was super good, both manager and staff were very engaged and attentive. Really fun memorable experience :)
Matthew: The chicken and waffles was incredible, one of the best meals I've had!
Kitty Kupcakes: Super cute restaurant. The food, okay. I'll give it another try cuz I want to love this place.
Shay Miller: Great atmosphere. Food is on the expensive side but getting great service in a unique building worth a tour.
Leah Purkiss: Had a great time! Food was great! Service was extremely slow but staff were very friendly. Soup a bit sour but everything was very fresh. Would I go again? Yes!
Guy Diakow: I really want to like Karl’s… cool location and space, food is good (not great), but over priced and most importantly, the staff are disinterested and seem bothered by guests. Have been twice and start to finish each time it felt like they were doing me a favor.
