Bill Lynch: St. Patrick Senior Center is a great example of a charitable organization that serves its community with grace while meeting the needs of the people they are committed to assist. They have some of the best volunteers and staff I have ever come across! (Pictures and videos from their annual Irish Fest.)
Margaret Ross: Everyone was nice, the programs sound interesting and the food was delicious. I joined right away so I can take advantage of their programming.

I ATTENDED THIS LOCATION FOR CHAIR EXERCISES AFTER I WENT TO THE REST ROOM NOT KNOWING THAT IT WAS MALE AND FEMALE BATHROOM I WAS IN MY STALL AND A MAN OPENED MY STALL DOOR AND SAID. (S WORD). AND THE (F WORD)UP DID NOT APPOLIGIZE TO ME AND LEFT OUT. THE STALL DOORS DO NOT LOCK. I FELT VIOLATED. IT WAS TERRIBLE. I QUESS I COULD NOT GET A I AM SORRY.
Lewis Fenderson: Everyone we encountered was friendly and nice. My dad was visiting to see if he might want to become a member. All the members we questioned raved about it. We were shocked to discover that a membership costs only $10.00 per year! That includes access to the gym, the billiards room, several exercise classes and more! Needless to say he will be joining.
Sandra A Coleman: Wonderful place with lots of activities for those 55+. Staff and members are friendly and helpful. I donate to the Center in a regular basis.

Gloria Williams: Everything was very confusing, went for driver license restored, no place to park, my son was refused help by staff taking intake because he had no identification which was there to see how to get license restored. I realize that a lot of people were there sometimes people need to offer kindness instead of hostility when helping others.

AARP has been told this countless times and they just continue to send her all kinds of stuff to her.Like a RENEWAL for her membership!!Advertisements for HEALTH COVERAGE for her!!Trip info, just in case she would like to TAKE A TRIP to the Bahama's or some place nice.I really can't figure out what part of "MY WIFE DIED 3 YEARS AGO" that they just can not understand. Age is hard on them too I guess.Oh, If you people at AARP ever decide that you would like to apologize for haunting me for the last 3 years just write my wife or e-mail me. Paula Olson: I workout there. The center is very clean & cheery with many windows with a nice view. I especially enjoy the barre class on Mondays. I appreciate that it challenges me but Donna also helps us with modifications if we need them. Staff members are positive and helpful.

Brenda Turner: I am on the waiting list and hopefully get called soon. I have been to the Jewish Senior Living in Oak Park. I was very impressed. I have looked at other senior buildings and so far JSL is the best I have seen. This is way senior living is suppose to be!
Debra Canty: I love my apartment at JSL. I live in Prentis to which is a newer building with the balconies. The floors are beautiful and the living room and bedroom are very spacious. I actually have a lot of furniture in my apartment. Most of the staff are very nice especially Katie the social worker. It’s difficult though to hear over the PA when they’re making announcements. And the meals are not included as the announcement says for the apartments. They cost anywhere between $150-$180 a month. I pay 180. But my rent is very reasonable with all utilities included. But still I pay 450 monthly. That’s almost half of what I get every month on my Social Security check. Which makes it very difficult to make ends meet. Most of the people, about 80%, a very friendly and get along great. Yes sometimes you have a few grumpy people. I read someone complained about that. Hey we are getting older and has a nurse that has worked in the nursing home since 1994 we get grumpy . But you were too if you have aches pains lol just ignore the grumpy one and let a few people like me and Miss Rosemary give you the proper greeting. Hope your move here you’ll love it
