Claire H: They might do fine work on Juki and Consew machines (for which they are an authorized sales and service center). Unfortunately, their work with Pfaff machines leaves much to be desired. They adjusted the machine timing and foot lift for a shorter needle system which is a standard needle type for Juki and Consew machines, but not correct for Pfaff. While similar to the needle sysem used in some Pfaff machines, the machine I brought them is specifically designed for a longer needle and high knee lift to accomodate thick leather. This capability has been limited by their improper adjustment. Update: after inspecting the machine more closely, additional issues were discovered. The when the needle descended below to catch the lower thread, the bobbin hook was hitting the needle and bending it out of the way to complete the rotation. Had this issue been allowed to persist, there would have been serious damage to the machine.

Mabel Flowers: I took my machine in thinking that I had a major issue. I wasn't able to sew on very light fabric. It turns out that I had put the needle in incorrectly. Nacho cleaned up the machine, showed me how to install my needle properly, and impressed me with his knowledge of the sewing machines he works on. He is truly a craftsman at his trade.

Regina George: Went to the shop and it was unfortunately closed due to a electrical fire but called the number listed and the man was more than helpful and still offered to fix my machine at his home, the estimate was free and it was 135 for a machine cleaning, fixing the loud noise my machine was making, a timing readjustment and he gave me the proper bobbins as i had been using off brand ones that weren't working great for my machine, 10/10 very helpful!

She remarked that she could tell that he knew all about machines as she listened to our conversation. The serger was fixed while I was in the shop. Chuck was at the counter when I came in and immediately went to work on investigating the power head. Chuck and Josh were able to troubleshoot and repair within just a few hours! The customer service was top notch!

Lucy CH: On May12th, I was in the middle of sewing a quilt for a wedding shower, when my Jamone Memory Craft 8900 QCP started skipping stitches. I called Bob and he told me to bring it in. Bob and Angel identified the problem and fixed it while I waited. Great service like this is why D & R is the only place that I would recommend for buying sewing machines. I have bought 3 sewing machines from Bob over the last 20 years.

I bought my first vacuum, a Miele, 37 years ago, replaced it with a 2nd 15 years ago and am just replacing them now with another Miele. The staff is always pleasant and professional. Today's purchase was made so much easier with the assistant of a knowledgeable young man, Josh. They also have other small appliances there and they do repairs. And they take back old machines to recycle whatever is usable.
