John Tuma: Best decision ever coming to train here. These guys are professional Athletic Trainers who come from a background of helping people recover from serious injury and it shows. They know how and why the body works, and they've used that very extensive knowledge to help me meet and exceed many of my fitness goals in just around 6 months (and we're well on our way to hitting the rest of them).The focus on form, recovery, and proper nutrition has allowed me to see results that I frankly never thought I would due to previous injury. Amazing team here who will work with you on a customized plan and help you accomplish your goals and then some!
Brielle: Brain Meets Brawn provides the best combination of physical therapy and personal training, and has changed my life significantly. I suffered from lower back pain for 12 years, which greatly limited my activities. I couldn't run, jump, twist, and therefore limited my activities, and fun through my 30's and beyond. I have been going to BMB for a year now, and I can run, hike, jump, kayak, ride a bike, dance, and so much more than I couldn't do before - all without pain. I'm also stronger, more capable/agile physically, and understand how to properly use my body for the first time in my life. Stevie DuFresne: I couldn't write a better review. I have chronic issues with neck and back pain due to a severe jaw injury I sustained several years ago. Max has been more helpful than any physical therapist I have seen, and has helped me to strengthen the muscles in my body to take the strain off of my neck and back (plus therapudic massage!) It's too bad this kind of service isn't covered by insurance, but for me it is well worth the out-of-pocket expense. Such a wonderful business with wonderful employees!
Catherine: I’m very new to personal training, but I can tell that this guy knows what he’s doing. He teaches a rather, at first meeting, unconventional approach to working out and fitness. It’s something that is easy to not take seriously when you have workout experience, however, once you go to a few sessions, you’ll get the feel for what he is trying to accomplish and it’s far more valuable than anything other personal training place I have seen. The trainers show the correlation that the brain has to the body, and how it stops you from working out to your fullest extent. Their mission is to train that body to brain connection and maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of your workouts.Not going lie, there is a bit of a learning curve to these workouts, but the trainers at Brain and Brawn teach you how to carry out common workout moves the right way, without putting strain on your back or compensating with any other muscles. The fitness regime combines both strength and mobility, ensuring that you will both elongate and strengthen your muscles, thus making sure that all potential weak points are targeted and worked on. I’ve only gone to a few sessions and I am feeling stronger already and not to mention more comfortable in the a gym-like atmosphere. It feels incredible!! I highly recommend this to anyone who is stuck in a rut with fitness and wants to up their workout game.Also, just a heads up, they just started an app so you can do workouts on the go if needed. They are extremely helpful as they have all the instructions that he would usually give in person both in a mixed written and video format. This app ensures that I am getting quality workouts even when I am not going into the training facility.Not going to lie though, I can’t give it a full 5 stars solely because the price is a little steep (and there is always room for improvement). :) That aside, highly recommended. Keep up the good work @BrainMeetsBrawn!
Elizabeth: Overall great trainers and great program! They are very good and strengthening your weaknesses and breaking bad habits. The trainers are very patient but will give you a good kick in rear when you need it as well. The only complaint I have is how sore I get the next day! Would definitely recommend.
Jeremy Martin: Mike & team are the best! I came here after getting shooed away from physical therapy and realizing I never got to the root of my pain. This place is a great alternative to physical therapy that mixes in more strength training. They will get a few layers deeper and address muscle imbalances and overcompensation. Once you get through a few sessions, you'll notice muscles you never knew existed and walk out stronger and smarter than before.
Craig Sochocki: I began coming to BMB with Mike back in April to start getting back in shape and tackle some movement and mobility issues I’ve been struggling with for years. Every workout has been challenging and fun. Mike is an excellent, knowledgeable trainer, and is very attentive and educational during the workouts. I’m seeing progress, feeling muscles working during big lifts that I haven’t felt in a very long time. I’m very excited to keep working with Mike and the BMB team moving forward!
Tudor Ravineala: Brain Meets Brawn offers a unique training solution -- I would say it is a cross between personal training and a little bit of physical therapy. The focus is not really on going hard and getting sweaty, as is often the case with personal training, it is geared more towards achieving your goals while practicing proper form and preventing injury. If you're interested in exercising more purposefully and being more intune with your body, I would highly recommend BMB.

He really makes me feel comfortable and I can already see the progress we’ve made since I started. This is my second time having a personal trainer and this is by far the most comprehensive approach. We go over everything from diet, to health issues, and the science behind it all. I cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and join now. You will not regret it!!!

D. L.: I enjoy personal training at this facility. My sessions are specific to my needs/goals and it’s not a “one size fits all” approach. I had a previous injury limiting my range of motion and my trainer Max gave me exercises that supported my healing and increased my strength. I now have better range and less discomfort. I also discovered that I was doing some common exercises ( squats )incorrectly. A few minor adjustments made a world of difference!While the energy of the facility is easy going and light, the trainers are serious business. No fluff here. I’ve seen all ages and body shapes/sizes. This space feels safe and inclusive. Also of note, the trainers are constantly cleaning the equipment, which I appreciate. Every trainer has his/her own space and it seems to work. Finally, the owner provides access to exercise videos that can be done at home in addition to an easy to use app that helps track exercise and nutrition goals/progress. Highly recommend!
Jessie Whitmill: I started coming here because every time I exercised, I would end up hurting myself somehow. I didn’t know proper form. So far, I am really liking training with Mike. He’s fun and has a positive attitude, and I have learned a lot already. I know what we are doing is working because I’m sore after every workout, but not in a painful way. I can feel the right muscles working. I plan on coming regularly and look forward to my results!

Lily Smith: I’ve recently been training with Anthony and he’s been great. He makes me feel really comfortable and I have a fun time. He is very encouraging and pushes me to be my strongest. 10/10.
Alex Minasian: I played hockey for 20 years and lifted for 10 years until a few bad injuries set me back to what was looking like a point of no return. For 3 years, a team of doctors, trainers & PTs were unable to help me as my injuries worsened and I was unable to lift. As a last ditch effort, and with little hope, I decided to give MECA a try; after less than 18 weeks, Liz & Declan got me back on track with healing my injuries and putting on the muscle I lost, plus some.Liz & Declan (and all the other trainers I worked with) are amazing trainers - their knowledge, attention to detail, customized approach, passion, and ability to push me beyond what I could ever do on my own is unmatched. As someone who always preferred working out alone and was resistant to hiring a trainer, I couldn’t recommend them more. I would not have seen these results with any other gym/trainer. My only regret is not going to them sooner!Whether you’re an athlete trying to make it to the next level, an avid lifter trying to pack on more mass, and/or trying to overcome a stubborn injury, as long as you’re willing to put in the work, MECA will 100% get you the results you want and in less time than you could have imagined!

I have been working with Evan for a few months and he has done a great job focusing on my deficiencies while pushing me to improve my overall fitness. All of the trainers there do a great job. Tracking my nutrition progress with Hannah has also helped keep me on track. Overall very happy with everyone there. Biggest negative is they need to improve their locker rooms/shower facilities.

Syed Shah Mehmood Uddin Alvi: I am so much impressed training with MECA. I had to undergo surgery because I tore my ACL and meniscus. I lost all my strength in my left knee. I started physical therapy but it was not helping so I decided to give MECA a try and I am so happy with the progress. My knee gained mobility and strength. Apart from knee rehab, Jared is amazing with body recomposition. I have lost body fat and gained muscled and I am almost close to my body goal in only few months. Tina Hamrick: My husband and I have started the MECA online training a little over two weeks ago and the differences that we both are seeing after just a couple of weeks are beyond incredible. I was training my back weekly for the past 6 months and was able to do 1 maybe 2 pull ups on a good day. I tried yesterday and I got in 4 solid ones…I was never able to do that before. Mike, our trainer, always answers all of our questions, explains to us how to correct our form, and always provides great feedback. Also Nick, the nutritionist is amazing. I always thought I’m eating a pretty good diet, which it wasn’t too bad, but we have almost cut out all the “bad” carbs and refined sugars from our diet, added a ton more veggies, and I have shifted to getting my protein more from meats instead of lots of yogurts and other dairy products. We feel so much better and have a ton more energy and all that after just two weeks. AMAZING!!!!! Thank you so very much MECA!!!!!! The videos, explanations of each exercise and the correct form for each exercise are beyond incredible and so helpful.
Nolan Vredevoogd: Have always enjoyed training at MECA over the years and when their online training became available I decided to give it a try. Can't recommend it enough. A great training app that provides videos for all of the exercises programmed, weekly check-ins with Jared to discuss progress and every two week check-in with the nutritionist. Not to mention easy access and quick responses if you have questions or concerns.
Gio Randazzo: I’ve been doing my 12 week meca program for 2 months now and i’ve never felt better. with the knowlage of the right foods, excersize, and discipline i have never felt all around at my peak. and continuing on with the program i only plan on growing. My trainer Chris Cheatham is great! i recommend this program to anyone that is able to do it, for sports, for health, and even for fun.
