Yanko Restovic: I truly enjoy coming to this lab. The staff is kind and caring and are a joy to speak with. I had been using the U of M lab in Northville for a very long time and it always felt as though the employees were unhappy. Here at Beaumont Grosse Pointe outpatient lab the employees seem to enjoy their jobs and really care about their patients.Verdell, Meltrina, Azra and Yanko are fantastic!!!I would give more stars if they were available!!!!
Carol Cerwin: Usually no more than a 5 minute wait for walk in on Saturdays. Checked in at 8am for fasting blood work and walked out at 9am when it looked like at least another 1/2 hour to 45 minutes of waiting. Another patient, diabetic like me, also walked out after waiting so long.

Brandi J: Been in ER waiting for about 12 hours now! Got here about 230p, had some tests about 5p. Nurse hasn't checked on me, I'm in a cold room with the bed right under a vent so I had to come sit outside the room in a chair. No nurse has come to check on me. Everytime I ask someone they tell me to wait. I have no bed bit they say their admitting me. It is now 3a...and I'm still sitting in this hard chair. I haven't had food, and feel like I'm about to pass out.

Nurse Amila had a terrible attitude and laugh when I was crying because I couldn’t see my great auntie that had just had two brain surgeries because I work 8a5p and my job is an hour from the hospital I made it five mins before tried to call Amila to see my auntie for two mins and she completely disregarded me. Laughed and joked say you work everyday as if my auntie couldn’t pass away at any moment. She laugh with another nursing saying omg this girl crying . And proceed to tell me my aunt isn’t dying right now like she has a phd or something! Disgusting behavior!!! *Spits*
David Ross: To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service provided by your hospital on 4/16/2023. I was admitted to the hospital for a possible Heart Attack, and I was extremely disappointed with the care I received.Firstly, I was made to wait in a chair in the hallway for an extended period of time before being moved to a bed in an empty wing of the hospital. I understand that hospitals can be busy, but this was unacceptable and unprofessional. I felt neglected and ignored by the staff, who seemed to have no concern for my well-being.Once I was moved to the bed, I lay there for three hours without any communication from a nurse or doctor. I found this experience distressing and unacceptable. It is unacceptable to leave a patient alone for such an extended period without any updates or check-ins.After three hours of waiting, I decided to leave the hospital. I was shocked that nobody had noticed my absence until I reached the exit door, where I was stopped and instructed to write a formal complaint.The level of service I received from your hospital was unethical and unacceptable. As a patient, I deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and professionalism. I felt that my care was not a priority to your staff, and this is unacceptable.I would also like to mention that I sought medical attention at a different hospital shortly after leaving yours. There, it was found that my blood pressure was at a critical level, which was alarming and concerning. Sparkle Mason: I wish I could rate this a triple 0! The absolute worst staff ever! The nurse that tended to me upon being brought to the ER by the police immediately treated me under the assumption that I don’t deserve a sanitized room or water or care that is due for a patient in my state. I was battered and bruised. She was rude and placed me in a room with a bed with blood still on it from the original person didn’t bother to come and clean it until over an hour and a half. When I spoke up about it again she had the worst attitude and wiped the bed down with a rag and bleach swinging the rag which was not squeezed out; contaminated bleach swung on me. When she gave me a shot of toridal for pain she didn’t even wipe with alcohol swob or put a bandage on it. So I’m bleeding and the officer had to put a bandage on me. She was all types of liability. I told them I have diabetes she didn’t care she said my levels are good. They weren’t… I was dizzy and dehydrated. Didn’t ask what type I had or cared. I would never willingly go to this hospital.

Kathy: As a physician assistant I am appalled at the customer service I received in the ER waiting to see my elderly aunt who was being treated. Virtually impossible to get back through the doors to see her. I have sent many patients thru this ER. I will definitely rethink any future referrals.Update: the security guards were fantastic and once I got through to see my aunt, the nurses were quite helpful.

His health was already at risk and you tend to forget to follow up with everything going on with your loved one. This will definitely be the last visit to this facility. I'm very disappointed. Nicholas Van Orton: They need to make a negative star option!! Absolutely disgusting how this “hospital” is still even in business with how poorly they treat their patients. The nurses and doctors are a complete joke, and were very unprofessional and didn’t even do their job, and that’s what they’re getting paid to do!! I went in with a family member and saw a number of patients on beds in the halls being ignored by the nurses every time a patient asked for something. They were talking very poorly (and very loudly while using expletives) about certain patients and just acted like doing their job was such an inconvenience. So I made my family member leave because they didn’t feel safe there and I drove them over an hour away to go to Henry Ford because at least I know that hospital has actual doctors and nurses that want to help people. And I trust that hospital and knew my loved one would be taken care of.

Valerie D: My mom’s experience with Karmanos was decent in the beginning but nothing but painful in the end. My mom was treated her from 2018 until October 2022 shortly before she passed in November 2022. For the most part her treatment went well and Dr. Morris was very kind although clearly very busy and unable to give much time. She routinely got infusions here and participated in a clinical trial when her previous treatments stopped working. She was always on time, although the staff was never even close to being on time.During the month of October 2022 my mom stayed in the Karmanos 5th floor inpatient wing for about a month. She had come in for chemo but was admitted due to severe dehydration and vomiting. I would arrive around 5 pm daily after getting off of work and unfortunately the doctor was never around when I came to visit her. This is understandable, but also, the nurses at the nurse station of this wing were able to give me next to no information about her current status at any given time. Shouldn’t they be able to look up notes from a doctor to keep family informed? I felt very much in the dark and the one time I tried to push for more info I was told to try calling the nurses station number during the day. I did so on my lunch one day and was just told the doctor was not available.During the last week of my mom’s life she was forced to stay at a local hospital (garden city) because the ambulance would only take her to the closest location. I tried calling Karmanos in an attempt to contact her doctor(s) about missing her next appointment, as well as attempting to gain any helpful information from Karmanos in order to coordinate a better medical experience for her at the hospital. After all, her medical team for 4 years should know a lot more than just a random hospital. I was unable to get a hold of anyone except the scheduling office and after leaving a message with the doctor’s office line there asking for help for my mom, I never got a call back. I also never received any follow up contact from Karmanos after the cancelled appointment- not through through mail, my mom’s number, or any other form of contact. Did they truly just not care if she never received treatment again? Where was the communication?After 4 years of coordinating my mom’s cancer treatment, I thought that my family might be shown a little more humanity from Karmanos. I got more compassion and contact from the garden city hospital workers who had never met her before and the hospice care workers that we only knew for one day. I understand it’s a big company but it felt soulless to never even get a call back. The nurses and doctors were kind here too but my mom often felt lost in the shuffle of miscommunication between departments. The management of this hospital needs to make some serious change and start treating their patients like humans.

Sorry, Charlie, I will donate to a Cancer Facility that has better treatment of their patients. Kathy T: I am a cancer survivor and the first person to NOT receive tattoos for radiation. Glad I went here. Dr Bland, Deb Karwan and the entire team have always been helpful. I am amazed that they can remember your name when they see you because a wig and different eyebrows can really change your appearance.
Sophia Richardson: My mother is a current cancer patient and her doctor’s RN refused to give her a Paxlovid prescription after she tested positive for Covid. She is 80, has cancer and diabetes and was refused a prescription against Covid. But they did make sure to reschedule her appointments 6 weeks in the future to protect themselves!

Stephanee Headley: Great doctors but not sure who's running the place. Billing was all messed up even calling monthly trying to get it straightened out and billed to insurance. They kept putting in Medicaid which we didn't have. Then they said it was billed and denied even though the insurance never recorded it. We would cancel appointments via reminder call and appointment call desk and they still called us saying we missed the appointment. When my husband had surgery, he was left by himself for over 2 hours because everyone from the morning went home. Then they wheeled him out as he was throwing up. They need a huge management over haul.
Leah Crandall: I visited the hospital last week and had a great experience considering the circumstances. I suffer from anxiety and the staff made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. The mammogram and ultrasound techs were super friendly which helped defuse the anxiousness that I was feeling upon arrival. The radiologist actually came in to my room after to explain everything and created a solid game plan for me moving forward. Even if you do not currently have or treating cancer but are at a higher risk of getting it, you can still go to Karmanos for all of your screening needs. THANK. YOU Karmanos staff for giving me and others the best service and care!

Suresh: Tried calling to get an appt for my Mother. For a cancer institute the staff has poor basic knowledge of it. When I mentioned Leukemia I was asked 'which part of the body'. When I said 'blood' I was again asked the same question and didnt know how to answer. After a full week of giving all information we were told that they dont accept the insurance we have so go somewhere else.The Doctors and treatment might be excellent but I wish they invest in good administrative staff with proper training about patient care and basic knowledge of conditions patients may call about.

He can’t speak English so he took his papers and went there. And they refused to make appointment to him. So stupid … never seem anything more stupid than this.
Carol Rucinski: Even though we got my 88 yr old father there on time, it took them 6 hours for a shot that was only supposed to take 2 hours while I waited in the car. In the patient book they gave my dad at the 1st 6 hour shot it said 2 people hey could go in. Oops, that was the wrong book...hey said you're not the only patient here.
Rochell Williams: The lady that asks the covid questions in the vestibule needs to go. Never wants to give me access inside the entrance she is at. I'm working on equipment inside the hospital and have never had access issues at this site until they put her at the door. she always acts clueless and makes up different reasons not to let me in. This never happens at any other of the major hospitals I go to. She even cussed at me today and I had to tell her to watch it. Security usually have to tell her its ok to let me in. Its like she's on some power trip. If security says I can use that entrance who is she to say I cannot just because she ask covid questions?
Latisa Robinson: I would like to say how I am truly disappointed of how I was treated as a patient today. I was seen at Beaumont ER last week for a lump and breast pain. My Dr. sent over a new order for a Diagnostic mammogram and US. I called and was scheduled for 9-28-22, then transferred to a different department to ask if I could be seen sooner. When the lady answered and I explained my situation she began talking to the other employees unknowingly with me still on the phone complaining that scheduling transferred me to them. Then, I was transferred to the US department and was told by Rita, "no worries just come in at 7:30 am, I will transfer you back to scheduling to get the mamo appt". Then, the phone disconnected. Well this happened multiple times with no help! One of the transfers was back to US with a different employee telling me she could not help me, even though Rita told me to come in at 7:30am and I was also called another patients name! I finally spoke with someone name Janel who seemed to be the only person that actually cared and held two appointment for me that someone took! I am truly stressed saddened and in tears today after what happened. I also, am a healthcare worker and would NEVER treat a human this way! I thought you should know! Now I am left to scramble to find help for myself.

After that initial appointment, it was downhill from there.After first appointment, it was 10-12 week out for my next appointment. Just to discuss blood work. Just getting proper documentation to have the blood work done was a task.Overall, I was pleased with the building and facilities. I was not thrilled with my doctor and her lack of motivation to get me results. And at least find out the problem. So I'm still at step 1 as we speak.I'm going elsewhere for another Endocrinologist.

The cases on the Kate Spade phones slide open and the packaging remains intact so you can put it back probably because people want to make sure the case fits their phone before they buy it. I love the new grocery area, the food prices are actually really great. The store is stocked much better than it used to be, which is always a good thing. Its much cleaner, more organized. My only criticism is the general lackadaisical demeanor of the cashiers and customer service desk. It's like they move at the pace of someone who is lounging, like someone who is strolling a cruise ship lido deck after a 7 course meal; the timeliness of someone scrolling social media in their PJs on a Sunday morning. That is the best way I can describe it. I mean, they are almost always moving so slow, meanwhile there's a growing line of people that have places to be, things to do. I'm not referring to aby jind of disability or impairment, I'm talking about all of their movements. Its like watching a YT video at half speed, or less.

They were understanding and patient, while I called the bank and raised my limit. Once complete, I felt I had received good service and a good deal. $1,100 in savings is nothing to sneeze at. JT: Went into the store after I received a "VIP" letter regarding a mattress sale. One location said the store was out of all the beds and there was a line outside the door to get them. Which was a complete LIE! Next location, the sales rep had no knowledge of the special or any of the inventory, pricing or products. She was clueless! Took forever to pay for my items as she had to constantly ask her manager questions about EVERYTHING! I will not be returning to any of these stores to purchase furniture ever again. Worst experience ever!
