Al Bartell is an amazing christian, business owner, and person who knows how to get you fitted in classic custom suits and shirts with that Detroit flair. The whole team is amazing: JB and the family (Sister/Sons). Al Bartell is a straight shooter who will tell you like it is. He knows style culture and fabrics and have you fitted out Bespoke/Made to Measure Suits: Dormeuil, Cerutti, Loro Piana. Custom Made Shirts: Sea Island/Egyptian Cotton etc. Al turned me own to some great shoes as well. They have off the rack casual, business, and special events suiting. In addition Al Bartell is involved with supporting the community with tie give aways for the Fathers Days and other nonprofit related activities. He is great persona and christian brother. His store is located right in the heart of the Detroit near Mack Ave. Go out and support him.
Bobby Latson: Excellent customer service all the time. I've been shopping with this store when there were on van dyke. Then in eastland mall, when you find good clothing and good customer service you stay with them. Just like family, they care. I sell cars and all my customers say how well dressed I am. Means a lot, and it goes a long way.

He asked us what high school my son attended JUST to make sure he didn't sell a similar suit to someone at Grosse Pointe North...and I appreciated that! We certainly didn't want 2 to 3 other guys in the exact same suit. Robert has been selling suits for a long time (over 20+ years). It helps when your salesman is well dressed! 😊 We got a good deal and we where treated well. My son loves his suit! Will definitely go back for a suit!

Bruce Alexander: I arrived in Detroit at 4:00 to attend an event at 6:00. As I was getting ready to checkin in to our hotel I discovered that I had left my suit at home. I google searched for nearby men’s stores and found Hot Sams Detroit about thee blocks away. At 4:30 I walked into Hot Sams and was greeted by Terrence Beasley. I explained my predicament to Terence, who smiled and calmly said, “I got you.” Indeed he did. Over the next 30 minutes he fitted me with a great blazer, patterned dress shirt, coordinated tie and pocket square, slacks and socks. The pants required hemming, but fortunately they had a tailor onsite. They marked the pants and took them to be hemmed and pressed. They also pressed the shirt and the blazer for a fine look. By 5:15 I was out the door with the complete outfit. Back to my hotel for a quick change, and we made it to our event right at 6:00. A terrible day made great by Hot Sams Detroit, Terence Beasley, and the store’s tailors. I heartly recommend them.

We RAN into Hot Sam’s in a panic 40 minutes before the ceremony and we’re met with the kindest staff who not only made sure he found an appropriate shirt. They steamed it and helped him re-tie his tie and everything. Look no further for amazing clothes and the most kind hearted people. 10000/10 stars. + bonus points for carrying inclusive sizing!

After our flight was cancelled and we spent the night in the airport my luggage with my suit in it was also misplaced on another flight and would not arrive in time for the wedding. I walked into Hot Sams and explained my situation to the owner or the manager. He immediately put me at ease and said they could take care of me. He introduced me to Terrance, a sales associate. He picked out 3 suites for me to try on and took his time doing so. After deciding on a suit he then choose a shirt, tie and socks (to match my wife’s dress), and a belt. Within 2 hours the necessary alterations were done and I had everything I needed for the wedding. I highly recommend Hot Sams as their selection is wonderful and their service was excellent. Sean Strife: Choosing to shop more ethically, I’ve become a huge fan of Gettees high quality, Michigan-made apparel. I ordered four shirts online, and was immediately impressed at how soft and well made the shirts were. Having recently lost a lot of weight I ended up needing a smaller size than anticipated, a pleasant surprise which gave me an excuse to check out their storefront in Eastern Market. They have a clean, organized space with a couple of spacious dressing rooms. After explaining my issue, the employees behind the counter were more than happy to swap out the unworn shirts I brought in with identical items in a smaller size, even getting them for me so I wouldn’t have to search. More than satisfied with my purchases and experience. I will most definitely be going back to them for more wardrobe staples.

Ron Reed: Bonobos is a great clothing store for well-made casual and business casual clothing. It is in the increasingly highend shopping area of downtown Woodward.It is near Lulu Lemon, H&M, Shinola, Greyson Clothiers, and around the corner from Gucci Detroit.
John Sullivan: The only thing better than the clothes is the staff. Courtney, Nieisha, and Kendall are amazing. We went to get outfits for my wedding and we are beyond thrilled with what Courtney put together for us. I don't write reviews but the team at Bonobos was so helpful and fun.
Ryan Smith: I noticed that a number of my pants were starting to shrink. I contacted customer service and sent pictures detailing the issues. Replacements were sent immediately. Good pants, even better customer service.
David Mudie: Super disappointed in the whole Bonobos experience. This doesn't really have to do with the Detroit store (they were super friendly), but the company in general. There is ZERO consistency in sizing. Sizing is incredibly important if you have a store where customers try things on then have to order online. I bought 2 pairs of the same exact cut jeans in different washes and when I received them, one pair was 2 inches shorter than the other. In truth, both pairs seemed shorter than what I tried on in store. I sent the shorter pair back and ordered a second pair in the same wash, thinking "okay, there will hopefully be consistency with the same exact wash." Nope, I received the replacement pair today, and they are 1.5 inches LONGER than the first pair. Same exact size, cut wash. The replacement seems closer to what I tried on in store. But I don't feel like trying to replace the shorter ones (who knows what I would get). YMMV but my experience with Bonobos means I won't go back. It's too bad because the product seems well made. There's just no QC. Just keep in mind that if you order pants, even if they fit in store, the ones they send you will be plus/minus 2 inches.
Adam Mutsulavish: I went in to try on some fits for a trip I am taking and was really disappointed with the store and the service. There were boxes open everywhere with dirty floors. I tried on some samples for fit and they were all soiled and frayed. The sales people were dressed in sloppy casual clothes that weren’t on brand. I was willing to order some things, but after two people struggled to enter my email into an iPad, I had had enough.
