Nikki J: The staff is extremely rude. They act as if the check out process isn't their actual job. I watched as I shopped each customer that politely requested and waited for assistance to purchase their items and everytime each girl at the register had an attitude. When it was finally time for me to checkout I made an attempt to be overly polite, still the same rudeness and attitude. Not to mention today I have to go back bc they left one of the security tags in my dress. I will not plan to return to this location after this. Poor attitudes and poor service 😒

Brad Bowman: Very nice women's clothing store. They have unique clothing including some Detroit centric shirts and sweaters that are cool and some phrase shirts that are entertaining. This location does have dressing rooms to try on the clothing. They carry unique jewelry as well that could be great as a gift.

The store is so clean, such a variety of clothing, perfectly set up and I have a hard time finding something I DONT like. The owner is so nice, helpful, knowledgeable and offers so many suggestions. It’s also very easy to find and in a new, nice neighborhood! Do yourself a favor and check her out, she even has free shipping.

Ganj Beebani: This is a one of a kind boutique in Midtown with a window display that is both interesting and regularly changing. While I've never made a purchase there (primarily because I'm a guy, but also because my female companions found the place a bit on the pricey end), the person working there was always incredibly friendly to the point of recommending local attractions and activities to do in the area. The clothing items they carry range from chic to casual.The place stands out since it's the only clothing store in the area, and it's always a treat walking by and seeing what new and creative displays they have in the window front.

Anna Akerman: This is an upscale trendy boutique located on the first floor of the Fisher building in Detroit, Michigan. They had a very nice assortment of clothes, hats, jewelry and handbags. The prices were surprisingly affordable, I was able to pick up three of these classy, cute little friendship bracelets for less than $7. I got a great souvenir of my trip and matching bracelets for my two sisters for $22. Staff were very friendly.
J R F: To be honest, I haven’t been in what is now The Peacock Room in about 55 years, but I still have fond memories of this lovely place. My mother was a model for Julie’s Dress Shop (the predecessor of The Peacock Room) in the late ‘50s and early ‘60s, and I remember going there with her many times as a child. (I still have an original gift box from the store- see photo; I wish I still had some of my mom’s beautiful original clothes/hats/accessories from there too!) In fact, my parents named me Julie, partly in honor of the store and partly in honor of Julie Andrews. My parents were big fans of Broadway musicals and we saw many shows at the glorious Fisher Theater. At any rate, I am so glad to see that you have revived the reputation and beauty of this lovely shop. It looks just like I remember it from the ‘60s. ❤️

This time I visited the store (a couple days ago on Sunday December 11) inside the Park Shelton because I needed a vintage 1920's Harlem Renaissance dress for a gala on Saturday December 17. There was a nice selection in different styles and colors that fit well within the amount that I wanted to spend. In fact, I ended up purchasing my silver glittery dress, jeweled headband with feather, and a gorgeous silver and black lacy stole all for just under $200. And Sarah (not sure if this is the correct spelling, maybe Sara) was wonderful! She was helpful, gave advice based on fit, my event, and the look I was going for, and so patient. Even as closing time arrived she wanted to make sure I had what I was looking for.The Peacock Room is a class act not just in their amazing merchandise, but in the top notch customer care!P.S. My gloves (which matched perfectly!) were either my grandmother's or my great aunt's from Crowley's department store, my earrings were my mom's, and my shoes, pearls, and bracelets were in my closet.
Kate MacEwen: Amazing customer service along with the cutest clothing! Used to love going in person when I worked in Detroit but now it's far more difficult to get to the city due to travel. The owner is amazing and will ship items I see posted on Social Media. Not only do you get a super quick response, you'll get expert advice in selecting the correct sizes. Highly recommend!

Sara Zalewski: I was in the market for a Great Gatsby-like dress for New Year's Eve and I remembered browsing this place when I was at the Fisher Theatre before so decided to try here. What an excellent dress shop. They had all the right dresses and accessories (they also have dresses from other eras). The staff was the most helpful collection of ladies I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with in a retail setting. Sarah, I believe was her name, went above and beyond helping me find the right dress with the right fit and the perfect matching headband. I cannot thank her enough. Highly recommend trying them for adorably unique vintage clothing at reasonable prices!

Dani Hardy: Tonight I witnessed some of the most exemplary self control from an employee. An associate from a neighboring store (shoetime) came in and physically and verbally threatened a minor simply because her held order was put back on the floor when it was close to closing time. The manager this evening showed patience, poise, and extreme self control as the shoetime employee shouted derogatory words at the young girl. Job well done for remaining professional and not coming out of character. Honestly tonight’s staff as a whole did an excellent job.

This is supposed to be an experience for ladies who want to shop and have positive vibes. The store is Big with plenty to choose from however, the racks are so close together you can barely move. Starpointe Photography: This is one of the newer stores located in the strip mall on the Southeast corner of 8 mile and Woodward. I was in the store for about 13min and at no point did either of the 2 employees say a word to me. The store isn't that big , so I'm sure they saw me. One half of the store is for plus which cool but it's hard to shop comfortably. Racks are over packed and too close together.

She picked out a few cute things for me. The only thing that I suggest of all Rainbow and clothing stores is to carry more L and XL. Apparently those sizes are the most popular. And they wonder why their racks are still filled with smalls and mediums. This is not the 70s we have meat on our bones now and curves. This place doesn't let you try on clothes at all (pre dating covid19 mind you). The women that work here are so nasty to you when asking questions. It's only like your job ma'ams. Wright Cha: I went there to shop at 3:34 and the security guard stopped me at the door and wouldn’t allow me in to shop. I asked why and he said it was because they close at 4 I informed him that it wasn’t 4 yet but he didn’t care. I called corporate they called the store and got no answer.
