Cass and Ferry Apartments: what do users think?
Debbie Woityra: Though we have not moved in yet, the process so far has been a good experience!
BUDDHIKA ABEYSEKARA: I rented my apartment nearly a year ago, and I would say Cass & Ferry is one of the best apartments in Midtown Detroit. The resident manager of the Cass & Ferry is Nagira Lasley; she is very cheerful, kind, supportive, and most of all, understanding. She is available all the time when I need help.Their maintenance team is prompt with repairs. They know how to respond and resolve any problems in a timely manner, and they always treat you with politeness and respect.I was able to receive the help and information I needed from Ms. Nagira. She was very courteous and genuine. 5 stars. I wish I could give 10.
Alexa Methner: Fantastic place to live. Close to excellent restaurants and to Wayne States campus
Melanie Jones: Good apartments in a great location. I chose to live here because of its proximity to my school and work. I live in a small studio which is relatively affordable for midtown. The one improvement I would like to see is glass, plastics and paper recycling options on site.
Adesh Singh: I have lived here for 6 months. The location of my apartment is very good and it is quiet. I can walk to my classes and the library.
Katherine O'Neil: I have lived in Detroit for 3 years and at Cass and Ferry for 2 years. I love this town and a lot has changed in the time I have been here. The apartments are in a good location and I use the light rail to get into work downtown. In terms of the actual unit, I live in a small studio apartment, which is perfect for me as I spend most of my time either at work or at school. The unit is in good condition and I haven't had any issues.
Matthew Craddock: Floors are a little sqeaky but other then that building (art apts) feels safe and adequate for the price

Towers Residential Suites: what do users think?
horsestew: I do work here for the university
Christy Mallery: They need more temperature control in the hallways but very clean. Could use a big fundraiser for supplying better kitchen options.
Ken Maunder: The dorms are like a submarine and my daughter is tired of the food, but it is cheap and clean.
Grover Easterling: Nice dorms on the Wayne State campus.
Robert Bazzy: Great dorm seems clean with very nice that staff
Dashona Broadnax: The food tastes amazing and waiters and waitresses are really nice.
Arpit S: It’s crowded, looks like Mumbai’s chawl. Thin walls low sound insulation.
Kai Cui: Nice and cool place
Sayem Ahmed: 👌👌👌
Angel Jones: Front desk people are always willing to help no matter the problem.
Samuel John: Good
Toro Rojoh: Clean well kept
Savannah Attalla: It's better than most dorms. I thought these were newer when I originally chose them, but they definitely have some wear and tear. The building is very safe, and there's the cafeteria connected to it.
Jacob: Staff always sucks
Brian Vaughn: Worst residence hall I have ever experienced. Entire building that was facing a Legionnaires’ Disease Treat, and still moved in 150+ guests for a monthlong stay. We were forced to leave within 24 hours of checking in to rooms with no air conditioning.I would want my worst enemy to have to stay here.
Yves Jason: There used to be a student at the front desk with bushy beard and something on his head called Turban. The guy was extremely rude and annoying. My card had a problem and I could not use elevators even once!!! They never fixed or replaced my card.
Lawrence Jhons: It's pretty cool
Rachel RoseLynn: I like living here. But some of the things in the rooms are grose. . .my chair looks like it has a million diseases on it.

The Union at Midtown: what do users think?
Alyssa: rent too high to not have parking
Sikandar Saeed: Really hard to beat this place. Has everything, maintenance is super quick. No complaints, 100% satisfied.
Thomas Mosher: Very nice! Just moved my son in. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
Michelle Perozo: I love it here! They have free coffee, snacks, and management is amazing:) Really close to everything especially classes!
Ramiro Perozo: Great location and staff. Union yummies are the best!
Mixsy Trinidad: Move-in went very smoothly. My only wish is that this place had parking for their residents.
curtisloewaz: ...Entering apartments without consent to check if the "kitchen cabinet doors work right" when there was no reported problem to begin with. Is this not illegal?
Bryen Turco: I lived here for 4 years as a professional student at Wayne State. You will be pressed to find a better value option in midtown Detroit - especially since rent includes utilities, internet, and cable AND units are often furnished and all have in-unit laundry. I dealt with Bethany in the front office and she is very professional, responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. The online maintenance request system is convenient and staff are quick to take action in both small and large issues should they arise. If my rating was purely based on the service and the front desk staff, I would give 5 stars. Amenities are ok with a small gym, a computer area where you can print documents for free (bring your own paper), and a common room with couches, TVs and complementary snacks and beverages. Mini social events often involving free food (good quality) are regularly organized by staff. This apartment is located close to the main campus gym (7 min walk) which is another big plus. One criticism is that there is no parking so you might have to find alternative options provided by Wayne State or simply park on the side of the street if you can find space. Another criticism - while almost entirely out of management's control - is that some tenants are not very respectful of properly disposing garbage in the trash shoot rooms, and some choose to use marijuana indoors and create a strong smell in the hallway of some floors. Barring the parking situation and the actions of some tenants, this place has been very good to me and I would certainly recommend it to those who value living near Wayne State or the midtown Detroit area.
Brooke Boyer: Looking for apartments in this area. We spoke to Amma in the office and she was extremely nice and very helpful. :)
Solomon Asiedu: I love the location, it is close to all buildings on campus and walking distance to many restaurants! You’re even next door to Starbucks and Tim Hortons! I stopped by on the weekend, and the staff answered all my questions!!
carmen perozo: My experience at the Union so far is amazing. They rooms are fully furnished which made it much easier for move in, and the maintenance staff was always so quick to respond. Management answered all my questions, and they even have a popcorn machine! It’s also in a safe place right on campus.
James S: Don't live here, especially during the pandemic. The office will regularly send people into your apartment without any masks on and with no notice. Additionally, they routinely won't wear masks in the office, elevator, or other public spaces. With a large student population and a large number of medical students this is just begging for an outbreak of COVID.On top of this the staff is rude, ignores concerns, and promises changes but never follow through. The price for the experience here is just not worth it.
Ellen Samoriski: With the new management, don't waste your time or money living here. There was a change in staffing sometime during the last school year (residents were not informed) and it's gone down hill since. The office attendant is unnecessarily rude and makes any communication with management nearly impossible. We've received absolutely no communication regarding move out which is in less than a week and I've gotten no response from the multiple emails I've sent regarding an accidental rent charge for the month of August (apparently it's being worked out). The apartments are nice and the location is great but the unprofessionalism from the staff makes it a hard place to live.
stacy roznowski: My daughter's lease is up on Monday. She turned in her keys last Monday & asked about a bill she got for August rent, she should not be paying August rent because it was paid at move in date. The guy in the office is so rude. He did advised that there was nothing due. Today she got a late notice & called. He was so rude & said obviously we know there is a problem & we are trying to fix it. Maybe teach your employees some customer service! The guy in the office was rude anytime we had questions! Well OBVIOUSLY we took our business elsewhere!
Julianne Meiu: Lived there for three years and never had heat for any of those winters. They did give out a tiny space heater at the start of each winter. That seemed like a nice gesture during the first year, but after the second year I realized they do this because they have no intention of fixing the heat. The space heater was teeeeeny tiny and could maybe heat a dollhouse if you turn it all the way up. Warm-blooded people need not apply.
hannah garlington: When I first moved in I saw the same person in the elevator about five times, and on the fourth time we decided to be friends. I think that sums up the community in the building lol. Also, the staff is super friendly and helpful.
Cammie Reed: This place is so tempting to live in at first glance. It is new, furnished, and all inclusive. Also, I have classes only in Old Main which is right across the street, so the location was perfect; however, this apartment quickly turned into a nightmare. While the office staff is great, they can't really help my situation and going to THEIR boss is where it gets ridiculous.Upon moving in, things seemed great. While expensive, it was so convenient, but soon my roommate and I started having problems with our A/C and heating units. We got a maintenance request in, and he showed up within a few days. While trying to fix it, he actually broke the unit and that caused us to be without heat for even longer. I understand that humans make mistakes, so we did not get very upset about that. Then, the heat went out. Again. This time it was a good majority of the building. It was January, so it was cold. This is also when the polar vortex happened. The managers gave us tiny space heaters that are not safe to keep on all day and night and claimed we could not complain about getting money back because we have a form of heat. I DO NOT PAY FOR A SMALL UNUSABLE SPACE HEATER.Then our power started having issues. It would flicker on and off in the middle of the day for seemingly no reason. I had it looked at, and they said nothing seemed off. Later, we found out that it was the space heater that they gave us because they couldn't get the heat back on that was shorting the fuse. So then I didn't have heat at all. I didn't have heat for almost a month, so I had to live elsewhere to keep myself a normal temperature. Now, I called the emergency service line because it was FREEZING in the apartment and I had no idea what to do. I found out that the emergency service line is the exact same number as the normal one, so guess what? No one answered or EVER returned my phone call. Now we are passing the heating issue and the power issue and things calm down. It's now the end of February and the elevator breaks. They have a guy in the next day, so I am thinking it will be a quick repair. It is now March 19th, and the elevator is still not fixed. I have since gone on a vacation and had to lug all of my suitcases up four flights of stairs. They have given us ONE update and it was two weeks ago stating that it would be fixed by that Monday, yet here we are. So now if you want to use the gym or get your mail, you have to walk down the stairs and outside across the parking lot to then go back into the building. My calls about any of these issues weren't being respected or served well, so my father started to call, and the regional manager will STILL not return his phone call. It is so unprofessional and despicable living here. I cannot wait to move out and I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.
KiwiWithAHat (Parker): Elevator has been broken for multiple weeks now, so to go down to check my mail or print something I have to walk down the stairwell and cross the parking lot. Also hard when you have to carry a suitcase AND groceries up and down multiple times of stairs nearly every day. Noisy apartmentmates who smoke are told not to only by useless posters on the wall, and the laundry washer sounds like death and makes my clothes smell here. Windows are next to impossible to be shut, and poorly insulated/sealed making the cold and loud wind drafts audible. Put in several maintenance requests about this thing, only for the repairs to be half-arsed.
Niraj Patel: Worth it to live here!
Lena Pivetta: I lived here for a year, from August 2016 to August 2017. Our second night living here, my roommate and I were cooking dinner when all the lights in our apartment went out. We freaked out, being new there, and called the apartment emergency line, assuming in our naivete that the problem did not lie in a blown fuse in our very new, modern apartment but maybe had something to do with the building or the power grid itself. The man we spoke to brushed off our concerns. He was in Ann Arbor, for goodness' sake, he said. He wasn't about to send somebody all the way out to Detroit to flip a switch in our apartment. So the problem could be solved by going into our breaker box! That was all he had to say. We flipped the switch, but it kept flipping back off and cutting off the lights again and again until we finished cooking. The emergency line guy didn't seem to have an explanation, so we just figured something had gone temporarily haywire. This happened several more times, while cooking, and I finally associated it with the use of the back left burner on our stove and stopped using it. Then, one night in December, I came home to find our apartment completely dark once again. My roommate had been doing some tidying up, running a vacuum cleaner, when all the lights had gone out. She'd gone to flip that pesky switch in the breaker box but instead found a bit of sparks and smoke spewing from the box.We called the emergency number once again, and we were told to stay away from the box, which was in our kitchen, and, if possible, to stay out of the apartment altogether. They said they would send someone out as soon as possible to fix it. This was on Saturday night. It wasn't fixed until mid-morning on Monday, when the box was replaced entirely.I had many other problems while living at the Union, things breaking, getting fixed, and breaking again, but I think the story of our breaker box having a meltdown sums it up. Poor customer service and a very poorly constructed building for the price are what you'll find here.
Chuping Lee: Complicate applications and poor services

Anthony Wayne Drive Apartments: what do users think?
Dagen Morris: If youre looking for an apartment this is not it. This is more like a dorm than an apartment Elevators break down Literally every other week. Staff is little to no help
Warren Black: Very Beautiful building
J J: honestly, no sense of urgency from the front desk to help EVER . South side sends you to ask North side , and etc. The elevators are always down and we have to climb to our rooms. The light in my shower has been flickering since i moved in (even after being changed) . soooo expensive for what your truly getting
xianting shao: Only one elevator could work well, sometimes two elevators are both not working in the north block for the entire 11 floor of residents, so we have to climb stairs.
superman high: The white people in those apartments are lieing on black people trying to get them put out The whole Wayne state area Discriminate I guess black people Why people who don't even live in a city who's not even from the city are complaining about black people in their own area My friend who stays in those apartment buildings got white people lying on herAnd that apartment buildingThe people that run it believe what the white people sayMy friend is a lone life Detroit or mourner ray's never left
Shiva Bongu: Excellent student living apartments.
Apellonia Williams: Good views, but the wifi is horrible. It goes out all the time. The front desk staff is rude, immature and not frendly at all. Believe the reviews because they are inexperienced, lazy and do not care. They didn't show me the trash shoots or laundry rooms when moving in.The walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbors and the water pressure sucks. The furniture is cheap, so they will break and you will be charged.I'm glad I'm only here for the summer..
frieda abilba: Clean and comfortable for both short and long stay
Tiffany Sikkema: Cute
Rohan Patel: Went their for covid testing. In and out in 15 minutes.
MaryAnn Herold: Small but clean. Nice kitchens
Samuel John: Really good apartments!
T. Rhodes-O'Neill: Beautiful interior and exterior, fairly clean, spacious. Nice laundry room with card reader machines. Good Covid security, but back gate bounces which may cause an issue. Would like them to allow one guest at least in lobby. Difficult not being able to visit my niece in winter (can’t sit outside on benches fir too long).
horsestew: Don't live here, just working here
Tron Rp: My niece is a freshman this year and I just helped her move in on August 26th. When I used to attend WSU (1998-2002) this area was a parking lot. I love what they've done with the place.
Jaden Adler: If zero stars were an option, I would pick that. Everything seems really nice but in reality it was all made very cheap. Everything breaks and the elevator was ALWAYS down. And the front desk staff is AWFUL!!! Would recommend ANYWHERE ELSE before Anthony Wayne apartments
ShaiShaiB: Really nice dorms but elevators keep breaking down
Brooke Squair: Beautiful roomy apartment with nice amenities and friendly staff.
Rachelle Brown: There is where WSU students live and study at Wayne State and spend every semester with friends and roommates.
Mike Maxwell: Very nice!
Alijah Boards: They are pretty nice apartment for what I can see.

St. Regis House Apartments: what do users think?
Michelle Gardner: Management never responds. Expect to reach out every day for a solid week or so through various mediums (call, email, attempting to show up to the office in-person only to find an empty locked room) before getting maintenance requests resolved or other general complaints. Also, the elevators *never* work simultaneously. Maybe they did for a solid 3 months out of the 4 years I’ve lived here. Speaking of maintenance, better hope things break only twice a week because those are the only times maintenance is available.Upsides: rent is affordable for the area and there’s no noisy neighbors (just noisy hotel guests and rude hotel staff).Update 9/11: this place charges $125/mo per parking spot. Just called the tow company since someone from the hotel is yet again parked in my spot. Guess what? No tow company for the last THREE years.
Danielle Dirks: I've been at St Regis for several years now and I still adore it. The building was restored to perfection a few years ago and has kept so many of its relics (like the historic vault when you first enter the lobby).New Center is up and coming. Being so close to the Fisher Building is pure magic and the addition of Supino's Pizzeria, Milwaukee Caffe, Urbanum, and so many cute shops on Woodward make this neighborhood super walkable and pup-friendly.The property management company shepherded the residents through the pandemic safely and seamlessly. The current team (Kati the Community Manager and Zach the Property Manager) is fantastic and their response times and professionalism are a much welcomed breath of fresh air. This summer weekend my AC went out and Zach not only responded within minutes, he had an HVAC contractor out within 45 minutes to address the issue immediately. So beyond grateful to not only for the AC to return, but the knowledge that the building management treats their residents kindly and takes care of the building as well.So grateful to have a wonderful space in the city and can't wait to see all that comes next for this neighborhood and building!
Jupiter Zhang: Nice place. I live here for two years. Everything is clean and new.
Katrina King: I’ve applied to a unit & gave the 150 holding fee for this place almost 3 weeks ago and have gotten no response back. I’ve tried calling several times every day and get no response, I also tried emailing. Poor management, I can imagine how long maintenance would take.
Ali Rastegarpour: We lived here for four years from 2016-2020 and have seen a few changes in management. I have to say that during this period I have nothing bad to say about any of the managers. They have always been super helpful people and the apartment was always the most welcoming place for us. The neighbors here were great. The apartment complex is very safe and conveniently located in New Center with great access to Wayne State, Detroit Medical Center, and Henry Ford Hospital. We had no problems in the unit itself which was newly renovated with in-unit washer-dryers, and we frequently utilized the community room for gatherings pre-COVID, which was very accessible and available. The southern view of Detroit was beautiful and the rooms received good light. The neighboring St Regis Hotel is a local staple, and the restaurant and bar, the Music Room, is great for when you need a bite or a drink and don't want to leave the building!
Carolyn Mozheeva: Great place to live. The layout of the apartments is well designed for maximum use of space. There are large windows and an in unit washer/dryer. Half of the walls are concrete so we have no issues with noise from neighbors. The staff is very responsive and friendly. You actually see them working every day in the lobby at their office so you can stop in and talk if needed. They make a great effort of doing little events and gestures to make you feel welcome and included in the community. The location is great as it is a minutes walk from the Q-line which you can take directly downtown. There is gated parking and it is very close to the Fisher building and the freeway.
David Kajmowicz: New building with great amenities. Love the spot on Grand Blvd too and just outside is the Q line!
Steven Collareno: Just moved in a few weeks ago. Move in process is really nice and easy. They give you a small cart to help you move in and allow you to park close to the door when moving in. The apartment itself is modern and looks really nice. All the appliances are updated. Staff is readily available-Alan and Taela are awesome.
Erynn Wahlgren: We moved here from out of state, sight unseen and could not be happier. The apartment and building are comfortable with nice touches throughout. The staff is wonderful. Maintence is prompt. The location is second to none. We are less than a block away from the Q Line (A trolley that travels from New Center to Downtown via Woodward Avenue) which makes getting to the office a snap. We have easy freeway access to M10, I-75, and I-94. The bike storage is very nice and has an air pump. The Fisher Building is One block over and the Secretary of State is across the street ... and a decent gym is a very short walk as well. The amenities and convenience of this location are hard to beat. Regis Houze has far exceeded my expectations.
Evan Morgan: Its great, modern renovations to a classic building in New Center Detroit. Great service/management team!
Chris Binno: My roommate and I had a wonderful experience living here! The location in New Center, Detroit is perfect! - close to the Fisher Building, Cadillac Place, Wayne State University, short drive to the major highways, and good food in the area. There was also a gym kiddie-corner to the building which I used everyday. The apartments are very modern and newly renovated. The lobby is gorgeous and has a really cool old fashioned bank vault on display. I used the indoor bike garage the whole time I lived here. The community room is newly decorated and has an awesome kitchen, lounge, bathrooms, and a billiards table. We had a laundry machine and dishwasher in our apartment which made living super convenient! Keeley, Jimmie, Susana, Evan, and the housekeeping staff are all awesome and made living here a great experience!
