We scheduled a couples massage for Valentine’s Day weekend which is also my birthday (which we told them when we booked) a few weeks ago and a man named Matt who is extremely disrespectful and rude called and told us they had to cancel our appointment because they are hosting a party at their spa. We have called 10 other places and now that it’s last minute, no one is available. They have no respect for peoples time and basically said we were SOL and to top it all off the guy Matt hung up the phone while we were talking! Never recommending this place to anyone and in fact I will go out of my way to tell people not to book here.

Barb Essenmacher: We had the most amazing experience at Soak. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. The entire experience from the soak, to the massage, to the facial was the best I have experienced. I didn't want to leave. The Detroit Club is beautiful and this is a hidden gem.

Qendresa Prebreza: It is a very beautiful space, I just wish it was a little bit more spacious. The hot tub and sauna were great. Matt at the front desk was very friendly, and so was my masseuse. The only complaint I have is that I wish she had done a little bit more pressure on the massage (although to be fair, I never asked for her to adjust it) otherwise it was a great experience. All and all it is very relaxing place!

Anthony Bommarito: Stayed downtown for a little staycation for the wife's birthday and we could not have been more happy with our experience at SOAK and the Detroit Club hotel. Sade was who gave me my message and it was the best message I have ever received as if she was listening to my body and adjusting to what was needed. The hotel room was spacious, clean, and nice. We closed down the bar with Nigel our bartender and it was just an all around great night out.

The facilities are not that different than the “salt hot tub” is a flat out lie — it’s just a regular hot tub (co-Ed by the way so bring your swimsuit). The administration is really an embarrassment. I will never go here again after how disorganized and unprofessional they are.

He was compassionate, he was strong, gentle, knowledgeable about his job and very experienced. This was my 1st experience with a male massage therapist as I always request a woman but they were so great about getting me in and HOUR BEFORE THEY OPENED!! (I was staying at the hotel) So I was able to have one last massage Sunday morning before we left for the weekend. Anyway I forgot to specify and decided to give it a go anyway and I AM SO GLAD I DID!! THANK YOU MIKE!!!! I will request you again and again!

Rachel Cassidy: All staff was really friendly and even comped our bottles of champagne! We came in with a group and the staff was helpful in giving us an overview of our service and the spa amenities and let us relax in the spa for hours after our treatment. It was such a relaxing and lovely experience. There was someone there while we were there who was nude in the hot tub and rude to people, but they were asked to leave and escorted out, so I trust the staff with keeping things clean and ensuring people are comfortable.

Michele Wiener: This was THE WORST experience I have ever had! I would give it ZERO stars if I could. From the moment I walked in, it was a bad experience. My massage was over an hour late. The manager MARY was so rude and kicked me out of the spa. the girl at the front desk was clueless and unprofessional. This place is terrible. They couldn’t find a key for the locker and it was not clean!!!!!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! I ended up going to Margot Spa in Birmingham and it was delightful!!

We have been to alot of spas but this one is a hidden Gem for sure it seem like they were a lil short staffed and the lady explained that it’s like that sometimes on Sundays but the staff was really friendly so that made it better. Our overall experience was amazing my massage therapist mike was heaven sent he has gifted hands, I told my husband I was gonna put him in my purse and take him with us lol!!!!!!!
