Tap Dance Detroit: what do users think?
Michael Brunck: Food is fantastic.
Jenny Ertman: Love this place! Denise is an amazing teacher. I took the adult absolute beginner tap class and I learned so much in a matter of weeks!
Isaac Bermudez: Loved it!Tap dancing was intenseWas very fast paceBut everyone was so friendlyAnd it's definitely an amazing experience like no other!
Brian Shannon: Great dance studio! Denise is a wonderful teacher for both children and adults, patiently challenging her students to do more than they think they can. Lots of performance opportunities. I’m an old guy with a hobby, but I’ve watched her develop talented children to excel in competitions. Fabulous dancer herself!
Tecla Wolfe: This is a warm, welcoming studio and Denise is a wonderful instructor. My daughter started beginner tap a year and a half ago, since then she has really progressed and looks forward to dance every week. They offer tap, jazz, and ballet classes for adults as well, all levels. We feel lucky to have them in the area!
Dave Cunningham: I am a 70 year old man who has never tap danced before. Granted, it has been a lifelong dream, but no experience. Just completed my first six week beginner tap class. Signed on for more. Denise is a great teacher. She breaks it down to make it doable and she is very encouraging. I have learned a lot and will continue and I completely recommend her and her Tap Dance Detroit company to all, young and old.
Nia Silao: Positive:Professionalism
Maegan Daughtery: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI love Tap Dance Detroit! My instructor, Denise is the best! She is fun, patient, super talented and gifted. I’ve been here just shy of a year now, and I really really love it! If you are looking for a place to exercise, and have fun tap dancing, come on over to Tap Dance Detroit!
Mary Conley: Tap Dance Detroit is awesome - a great studio space with awesome teachers. They offer classes for both kids and adults. I was super excited to see the studio open because I feel like there are not enough dance classes available to adults in the area - here you can take tap, Broadway tap, jazz, and more, regardless of your skill level. The teachers are great and the space is great, and the prices are competitive with any fitness class in the area. They also offer studio space for rent and lots of cool special workshops and events.
Jessi McKenna: Tap Dance Detroit is a wonderful organization with phenomenal instructors. It is inclusive and welcoming of all levels. If you've never tapped, haven't tapped in twenty years, or have never stopped tapping, this is the place to be.I only wish it had been around fifteen years ago.

Motor City Dance Factory: what do users think?
Gyhandi Hill: Great service, instruction, and opportunity for growth in an comfortable environment.
Sherwood Wolfpack: It is a great place for young ladies to express themselves. An environment for them to come out of their shells and grow.
Janaan Estwick: The teachers are EXCELLENT! My Granddaughters love it!
Jada Baker: MCDF is amazing! The staff is nice and Ms. Camille is the biggest sweetheart ever!
Marcelle Bryant: The facility is clean and modern. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Wanda Cook: Love pilaties class
Rhiiley Isaac: i am a dancer here and i have to say on my first day here i loved it!:) i'm doing ballet and my instructor is very kind and so is the staff! i really recommend coming here!
George P: Awesome place! My 4 year old started this year and is so far ahead of others her age at different places. Instructors know exactly what they're doing and the best way to teach each and every age.
Jaiden Jackson: Awesome
Chandra Carr: My dather and my so go there it is so good to have your chil over there
Stacie Mosley: I typically do not write reviews, but I just mentioned to my husband the other day how Motor City Dance Factory has been a refreshing, friendly, professional atmosphere. My daughter has danced at a few dance schools around, and have have had bad experiences with staff giving favorable treatment to certain dancers and their parents. So far staff from MCDF have been friendly from front desk staff to the instructors. Keep up the good work :)
Angela Johnson: All the teachers are well trained and phenomenal dancers! Very friendly environment.
Caviniona Williams: If you are looking for a dance studio for your child I highly recommend Motor City Dance Factory! My daughter has been going here since she turned 4 years old. Everyone is always so professional and loving towards the kids. Everything is always organized as well. My daughter is always excited to go to class and has created friendships with other students with similar interests. The recitals are always top quality!
Carla George: My name is Carla Lewis and I am the mother of the CEO. I would have loved to meet you in person at your event, unfortunately that did not happen. I was indeed unaware that it was not an adjoined set up however, The miscommunication between you and Allen is not my concern. My sole concern is how the non-factual public comments (rumor) negatively impacted by child’s kid friendly business. Her entire brand is based toward Kids. You have to understand how this could possible impact her brand and business. I had several of your event patrons come over and say “They announced over the speaker not to come over here and purchase things”. That was hurtful for my child to hear. You have been in business for a many of years and she’s working only on year two, so to have that come at an 11 year old who was serving your guest with a refreshing slushie drink and a smile was disconcerting!!If it were my event, once I heard that rumor, as the event coordinator I would have made it my priority to go to the vendor table and have a conversation, I would have never simply publicized that a vendor should not be patronized off a rumor. A damaging rumor at that. A simple introduction could have solved it all. I wish you all the best and thank you for your well wishes.
Beautiful Bell: Motor City Dance Factory is by far the BEST Dance studio in Michigan (actually the world). The staff and Volunteers are absolutely amazing. They’re the most kind, patient and loving people on earth. They’re proof humanity does still exist. My daughter and niece started with the school in 2002/2003. Now it has trickled down the family tree. It’s always an honor to see such an awesome production at the end of the year and everything is done with perfection and in excellence. Although my Daughter is an adult now, I still support this dance school because that is how absolutely amazing they are. Kudos to Ms. Camille, Her staff and volunteers.
Nora Johnson: This was different due to venue and we had to sit outside in this warm weather .Still very enjoyable
Florencia Guerrier: Such a beautiful atmosphere! The staff is professional and amazing at training young dancers. My favorite dance studio in Michigan!!
Life with the Macks: Best Dance School in Michigan..Really loves the kids and makes them feel special
Andrea Ewing: Love the social distancing very professional my daughter never been to a day car setting she just turned two they work well with toddlers
Deena Gardner: This place truly builds a community of dancers. My daughter took a class over the summer and loved it so much that we registered her for 3 classes this fall. She is being challenged, developed and supported by her instructors.
Bianca Sheko: Such a clean friendly place. Great place for kids to grow in so many different ways

They all can dance pretty good to so i like it. Also good prices so i cant wait to try hip hop classes and yes i would recommend this place for sure.

LaShelle's School of Dance: what do users think?
Sonia Brown: The owner, LaShelle, is extremely rude, unprofessional and unorganized! Also, the little kids' dance classes are a waste of money. The dances taught look made up by other small children. As long as you don't ask questions nor point out any inconsistencies, it's all good. I personally know of 3 other parents who encountered rude and unprofessional behavior from Ms. LaShelle and withdrew their children.
ÆL!EN V¡B3Z: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Jamai McCarty: Its a great dance school to go for black boys and girls. They offer all types of classes for everyone 10/10
Paul Patterson: Covid procedures are excellent.
krisilyn tony Frazier: I love this amazing studio! Well rounded teachers and positive environment. Just amazing! I am so proud and want to shout out one of the best studios in Michigan. They are definitely blazing the dance trail for young black dancers and the community. Carollette and Lashelle your hard work has paid off and may you continue to inspire the world as you do me. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Adore Niah: I been going here for two years now and it's awesome and I have lots of team mates that are really supportive😊

The Institution of Dance Arts: what do users think?
Margie Ellis: Had a great time taking a salsa class with a group for a bachelorette party. The studio is beautiful & clean, and our instructor was amazing!
Courtney Skrinner: I have been coming here for about a month consistently and love it! I have the monthly unlimited pass which allows me to go to any class. It’s worth it! My favorite classes so far have been any hip hop class with Jayce and Modern with Martha. Both are amazing and positive teachers!
Tahrim Zaman: One thing I love a about this studio is the amount of variety you have when it comes toclasses. The Instructors are always super sweet and talented and always make you feel like you’re never out of place when around a group of experienced/beginner dancers. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing a bunch of OG’s coming out to teach popping, locking, and even breaking! You don’t see to many studios adding such elements of hip hop and being taught right. Love the studio and the vibe, culture, and amazing people it brings ✊🏾
Tatianna Gore: I've been coming to this studio for almost three years now, and it is definitely the highlight of my week. The atmosphere here is so inviting and accepting, dancers of all skill levels are sure to feel comfortable. The teachers all genuinely want you to enjoy the class, not just get the combo. But even with this approach, my dancing has vastly improved since I began coming here. I also really like how they consistently have pop up classes and guest teachers, so it is not the same thing every week. I highly recommend checking out a class or two, even if you've never danced before, or it has been a long time since you last did.
Clare McCoy: The owner Olivia is off the wall rude! I’ve never been treated with such disrespect and disregard. Being an owner/instructor I would expect her to be encouraging. She basically said to the whole class that we wasted her time because we couldn’t do the dance moves. The class was supposed to be for beginners! I will never go back there and you shouldn’t either.
Jenna Cody: I went to a BEGINNER Heels class with some of my best friends, and I would never have done it without the recommendation of one of those friends after she took several classes here. Now neither of us will ever be back. Knowing ahead of time that none of us had experience, it was an opportunity to try something fun and new and we were excited to learn. However, Olivia (the studio owner and one of the instructors) was so aggressive and off putting during the whole class. It felt as if we were not welcome there and she treated it as a world class performance (making it obvious who she approved of and didn’t). We were trying our best, but found some of the moves to be challenging. We struggled, but tried anyway. She told us later that the “moves are simple if you just do them,” and repeatedly told us she has “20 years of experience” and that it was “disheartening” to have people in this class who don’t have the foundational skills. As a BEGINNER course, I was led to believe we would be encouraged and empowered, regardless of how skilled we appeared to be. We were there to LEARN. I was also shocked when we would try the routine and the instructors would no longer guide us—it was hard to remember all of the moves as they were quick and they moved on so fast after showing us each step. I wanted to enjoy it, I was very nervous stepping into that room but I had hope that my anxiety would go away once I felt accepted and comfortable, though that never happened. I left feeling shocked, hurt, and foolish, and I am hesitant to ever try a dance class again. I never had the opportunity to dance when I was younger, and I was absolutely blown away when another adult woman made me feel ashamed for trying. I encourage others to go elsewhere unless you have as much experience as the instructor.
Bree Plotzke: There is truly so much to say about this amazing place. I danced competitively for 11 years and kinda lost my place after I turned 18 and couldn’t compete. I lost dance for over a year and missed it terribly. Dance is why I’m still here today and it’s home to me. I thought I would never be able to dance again until I found Release. I absolutely love the environment and non judgment there. Everyone is very welcoming and loving. This is my new safe place to grow and learn while having fun while being encouraged and supported. So beyond grateful for Release 3
Breyanna Otlewski: Coming to this dance studio every week for their drop in classes has been the best part of my week for the last year. The instructors are amazing and super encouraging no matter your level! The other dancers are so nice and the energy in the studio always makes the class. Couldn’t recommend this studio enough!
Cassidy Spurr: I danced for 15 years growing up and fell out of it for a couple years after…now I’m back to dancing weekly and it changed my life completely. Release restored my passion and for that I will be forever grateful. Please come check it out and find your new or old passion again!!!
Christie Kim: First time learning dance, little challenging but super fun, and high energy. Totally worth it. I signed up for monthly unlimited after dropping in on one of the classes.
Annalise Walker: So welcoming and such great staff!
Jennie Bautista: Mine.
Ella Ward: I love release!!!! I love ronnie !!!!!!!! I love olivia !!!!!!!
Alexandra Klemesheva: Absolutely love Erika's latin fusion class! I'm not in any way a trained dancer, very much a beginner just doing it for fun and she makes it a comfortable environment, breaks down the steps, always ready for questions. It is a bit of a challenge for someone like myself but it's a great time learning and putting moves & steps together. Highly recommend! The studio is beautiful as well.
Chong: Loved the Latin Fusion class. I'm not a dancer, absolutely no experience. The instructor was great, made it fun.
Lauryn Haling: Through this space, I've made so many new friendships/connections, and my knowledge/experience has expanded tremendously. No matter why you dance or want to start dancing, RELEASE provides a space for you to grow, learn, and (most importantly) have fun on your own terms!
ZADA KUMMERL: I have wished for a place like this to exist for long. I am so happy I have found this incredible studio that has such a welcoming, supportive, and fun environment and staff. I can't say enough good things about this studio. I'd recommend this place to ANYONE!! - Retired dance or new dancer - you will fit in and feel great! I look forward to coming here each week!!
Sarah Beaupre: Release has been my second home for the past year and a half thanks to all the incredible staff and dancers. This studio is so welcoming and has such a passionate group of teachers. I’ve made so many new friends and It’s a beautiful space with amazing energy. I’m truly growing as a dancer while still having lots of fun. I’m thankful to have release as a place to create and experiment with dance.
Daria Fedina: I place I've been looking for! It gives community, a fun way of exercise, new skill to learn. Everybody is super welcoming and there are classes of every level and style. If you have danced before or if you have never danced, you need to check this place out.
Jayce Rothrock: This studio is something I've been looking for for a long time. They're a drop in based studio that has a wide range of classes in all levels - from beginner all the way to advanced. It holds a great community of dancers who are all incredibly talented, humble, and kind. I have made amazing friends at this studio and I've never once felt unwelcome there. Dancing at Release doesn't have any pressures and everyone is there to have fun, learn, and just do what they love 💖
Hannah Whitman: I have been taking classes at Release for over a year now and I can’t say enough incredible things about this studio! The staff and other dancers are incredibly welcoming and supportive and have provided me with an amazing community. The space is beautiful and well-maintained and the wide range of classes means you’ll never run out of fun things to try!
