Jasmine Murdock: Family owned. My favorite Thai restaurant in the city! The customer service is impeccable they are so warm and friendly and then on top of that the food is always amazing. Portions are great too. If you like to swear a bit or you like or mild they have heat to accommodate your palette. If you’re stopping by Detroit and in need of some Thai this is your spot and krs just a hop skip and jump from the Dequindre Cut or the Detroit River Walk if you need to walk off your meal.

William Cherry: The food has been on point, since my first order!
Shiva Bongu: Great food...one of the best Thai food you can get in Detroit downtown. Have been here multiple times and can never go wrong. Food can be ordered to taste and be customized. However, their customer service us bad and have only one server to take care of the whole restaurant. Saw a stream of to-go orders go through. Go Sy Thai: what do users think?
Ed Slesak: Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Shashikant Patil: Go to place for lunch for me once a week. Food is always great. Several options to try out. Pad Thai, Karee Noodles are my top favorites. This is a self-service restaurant and hence expectations from service should not be high. Basic set up for sit-down and not a place that can accommodate big groups. Have struggled with time for the order to come out in recent times as the place gets very busy during lunch time (which is an indication of food quality).
bobbi i jackson: Horrible this don't even taste like chicken and the rice was super dry I see why they don't have many hours of operation because depending on who's cooking there's a 50% chance of your food not tasting like it's supposed to and have the nerve to go up on prices ... Horrible service
Sarah: All Go Sy Thai locations offered halal chicken as an option for Muslim customers. However, this location no longer has that option, despite being located in an area with a large Muslim population. This was very disappointing.Dietary restrictions: If you eat halal, there is no option at this location anymore (unless you eat shrimp).
Ramsey Abbas: Loved the atmospheric, food was fresh, hot, and delicious.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
mary h: normally not one to write a bad review. this place is a waste of money. i keep trying it in hopes it’s good.. the last three times there has a 30 min wait on the food— which isn’t a problem, if the food is actually good. i just get chicken pad thai and it always comes out as a large to go container of noodles. that’s all, there is no flavor/sauce whatsoever. so disappointed, i’m literally eating just noodles 😅
H. K. S. de Zoysa: Tasty food
Los Mos: Great food. Will go backFood: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Casey Buckleitner: Wow great food. Awesome price
Redd Bone: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Drunken Noodles with ChickenMore
Lisa van der Groef: Food is consistently good but expect to wait for awhile if you don't order ahead and want to eat at the restaurant. Take out is clearly the bulk of the business.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to all areas within the building, and parking right in front of building on both sides since it's on a corner.
vison homecare: Do not go to this place!!!
Live Homehelp: Bunch of unprofessionals
Tufail Numan: Rude people. Took them 45 mins to make some rice
Fly By: The Drunken Noodles was super salty and my Panang was mistakenly replaced with Potato Curry which lacked the real Thai flavor. First and last time to order from there. Service was good though but that alone didn't cut it for the real dining experience. I know my Thai food. This wasn't it.
Felips Froughly: Food is only good to people who have never had Thai food and people fresh out of prison.
Jay Kennedy: The food is good but it takes FOREVERRRRRR to get your food. Whether you call ahead, our take out at the window, or sit down to eat expect a very long wait. People queueing up make it difficult to sit at the bar top and sometimes spill over into the sitting area. Enjoy when you have time - like, at least an hour - to kill at the restaurant if you are dining in.
Cathy Farah: Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5More
Brandon Smith: I really like the Sy's Fried Rice but everything else that I have tried from there is kind of meh.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options and they are quite good!
David Payne: Large portions of food for the dinner dishes . I recommend the orange chicken 🐔Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Phil L: From 2/28/2023 Detroit Free Press: "One of the best-known places for Pad Thai and other Thai dishes in heart of downtown Detroit will no longer be.Orchid Thai Restaurant on Monroe Street near Campus Martius is permanently closing. The closure is sudden and the last day for the restaurant will be Tuesday"
Christine Cheng: My friends and I came in at around 3 to get a late lunch, and the hostess in the front was very kind and efficient with our orders. We loved the flavors and portion size of the food. I would highly recommend this place!
Marlette Lanell: Food is really good. I should have left it sitting right there on the counter because I was told that I could not use the bathroom. I was an paying customer not someone off the street.Food: 4/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More

Matthew Knill: I would give zero if possible. They gave away my food to the wrong customer and still treated me poorly while waiting for my food still. A couple times the employee told me AGGRESSIVELY to sit down and wait my turn even though I’ve been waiting an extra 15 minutes past the 20 I waited for my original meal. they could have been much more accommodating and kinder. Never coming back here and recommend you make a unique name I guess if you do come here or else your food may be gone.
Crystal Watkins: Not Authentic Pad Thai, no spice level of any kind, causing no taste.
A 1922: This was my FAVORITE place pre-COVID downtown. Sadly they have lost their quality. Come here for incorrect orders, overcooked crab wontons, and sloppy packaging.
Prudence: Loved the food and big portions. The staff were very helpful with my questions over the phone. They only do to take out orders now, no dine-in, a result of the pandemic id imagine. And they deliver through some delivery apps. It was fine by us, we picked up as it was close to our Hotel, the Antheneum??
Mark Anderson: Use to be one of my favorites before the Covid but now it’s no longer on my list of restaurants to visit. I went today as soon as they opened up and my order tasted like yesterday’s warm overs. Just terrible!!!!!
maciek czerwinski: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
B K: Just takeout only
George Thebolt: Great food, great service…haven’t eaten here in years and had another fantastic meal today!!
Johnathon Fidler: Before the Covid crisis, I used to frequent Orchid Thai all of the time. I am finally working back in downtown and ordered what used to be my usual. Well first thing is, the food went from $8-9 for lunch to $16-17. For that big price, I would expect better quality food. What I got was terrible. The description says chicken breast in it. What was in my container and not even edible was stringy, tough, jerky like texture that I would not even pass as chicken. I would rather spend that money on a chain restaurant like PF Changes for that same price and get way better quality food. Very disappointed. I will not be going back.
isaac white: Orchard I got good food but the parking really is got to pay for itDine in: Yes Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes …More

Meghan Mahoum-Nassar: Excellent take-out; not currently offering dine-in when I was there which worked out fine for me and the many other people who stopped by to pick up food. Large portions - the Pad Thai is DELICIOUS.Dine in: No Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes …More

danny baghdadi: When they say award-winning, they really do mean it. Some of the best Thai food in Michigan hands down! Some days even the Head chef and founder mama Vang is at this location. She is such a sweet & generous person!

Nidhi Shah: Loved the Pad Thai roll with tofu!
TRSR: Ordered curry chicken and tender beef here. Chicken was burnt, and curry was way too salty. Beef was hard as rock.

Nikita Smeshko: This place was an insult to the idea of Thai food, just awful in every way possible. The pad Thai roll is wrapped in a TORTILLA topped with a mayo-based sauce! What more is there to say?Detroit - you need to level up!
Stephen Caren: The food here was excellent, and the owner handed me a free sample of one of the dishes she had made. The price was a tad high, but well worth it considering how much food I received and how it tastesFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
C.A.T.O Taylor: I had heard many great things about the restaurant, but was sadly disappointed. I called and was told to place a takeout order over the Square app. No problem! I ordered the fried chicken bao buns, crispy fried shrimp bowl, and the GF bubble Thai iced tea. Including a tip this all came roughly to about $35.00 which is certainly not a problem, however, the first fried shrimp were cooked, the majority of the batter was still wet on the shrimp. I literally bit into multiple pieces and received a nice chunk of cold, batter and uncooked shrimp. The bao buns were okay and so was the tea. Definitely not worth the health risk.
Candace Cary: The pad thai roll is not made with rice paper. It's made with flour. Which I don't recall being apart of the Bangkok culture so obviously it doesn't blend well. I was very disappointed. Not good.
Antionice Hearst: Idc what I get from this place it's always so good. The beef and sticky rice is too die for
Elayna Alexandra: Yummy, simple and great flavors!
William Spalding: Incredible food, incredible service. A really kind and delicious place to eat. Thank you for that 🙏

shohn joyner: Tried to order food at 9:20pm online and could order. Called twice and was told I had to order online. Finally called and talked to an employee and was told that if I didn’t call before 9:00 that it was to late to order and that the only the owner could take the order. Asked to talk to the owner and she was too busy. I told the employee that I had been trying to order since 9:20pm and he said the after 9:00pm the online option was unavailable. I asked if I could order through him and he said no I had to order from the owner. Im done with these businesses.

Deidra Williams: They are indeed closed, I do wish they would've left even a clue but they're just shuttered. They did have good food though
Yvette Watts: I Ordered The Thai Noodles with shrimp and vegetables. Fresh tasting and delicious. The shrimp cooked perfectly and Veggies weren’t over cooked. I love the garlic sauce. Nice size portions. We ordered carry out for lunch. Food was hot and ready to go. I would recommend to my friends to Bangkok Crossing
Paige Kortman: every dish i’ve gotten from here has always been delicious. our go-to’s are always the curry and bangkok flaming duck dishes. the kow pad, bangkok, and curry fried rice is always delicious as well. i feel like you can’t go wrong with anything you get.
javonne ransom: Food is horrible now, use to love going here, but they have fell off. I went a couple of months ago and the food wasn't good at all, thought I would give it a try again and the same results, but worse. I will not be going back. I don't know what happened with the original cooks, now it seems like they have cooks in training and they don't know how to cook Thai food.
Kyre: The food here use to be very good, but they have fell off, I don't know who is cooking the food now, as it do not taste like Thai food. It started going down before the Pandemic, but now it is worse. I will not be going back, it's not worth your money. I will go to Sala Thai or T.N. Thai Bistro from now on.
parker feldman: I called their phone number multiple times over the span of 25 minutes. Not a single time did someone answer. Disappointing.
danmc4039: Love their food.
Marshall Frazier: The GREATEST of Asian cuisine...by far hands down
Mia G: Great Food. My all time favorite Thai location but the new hours make them practically closed and weekends they are. I have been on a hunt since COVID for a new Thai restaurant and unfortunately haven't found one close to them. I just am so sad their new hours never allow me to enjoy the food anymore. It's quite frustrating. If you can ever catch them open the food is amazing!! Good luck!
Cindy Carey: I am so glad that I tried Bangkok Crossing on a whim. I never eat out for lunch, but I saw that it was open and I want to help a small business. I ordered the Pad Se ew and I couldn't believe how delicious it was. The depth of flavour is incredible. The staff was so friendly. The biggest problem is my office is only a block away and now I want it every day!
Lindsay Gray: For my first time, I had a great experience! My food was ready within 10 minutes, and was very fresh. The white garlic sauce for the spring rolls was different than the usual plum or duck sauce I’ve had at other places and I loved it. I definitely recommend the drunken noodles, although I wished it had more of the toppings, especially the vegetables. I had a lot of noodles left with nothing in them, but it was so good. The woman I spoke to was very nice and helpful. I will be back often! Also, Covid friendly which I definitely look for and appreciate.
Marty Papesh 3: Ordered Pla Dook Pad Ped. Food was good, carry out order was ready right at estimated time. Location is currently carry-out only in the front anteroom area, which can be easily crowded. Menu offers a lot of options, service was excellent.
Julio Ramirez: Great food and super, super friendly service. Had the Drunken Noodles with chicken. Delicious and for the price, it was a steal! Will definitely come back!
Ka Thao: Quick service for picking up carry outs. Price is reasonable for downtown. Portion size varies per location of restaurants in general. Portion is smaller than expected. Spice level is normal. Medium is not hot level but not mild. There should be more vegetables in the Pad See Ew. Just a few pieces of broccoli. And sometimes, beansprouts for garnish. Sweet and savory taste. Beef is the choice of meat for me because of the tenderness of the meat. The sauce is similar to other restaurants. Not good or bad. Take your pick and the distance when you need to eat.
Jennifer C: Great place. Decent prices for lunch too.
VERZøSA DOPE'MAN: Best drunken noodles ever!!
Geneene Robinson: Great food and service
Saint Hill Tour: Got serviced real fast and the food was done in record time too. It was a good change for we have been waiting burgers a lot while in town. Food was delicious. Will go back for sure.

Thai Garden Restaurant: what do users think?
Glenn A. Scaul: First things first, this review has been a long time coming. I'm not really a competitive person by nature and I don't like to pit restaurants against each other. There are a number of establishments in Ferndale, you can take your pick but when all is said and done, Thai Garden is uniquely Thai Garden. In my mind, it is single-handedly the best and my most favorite place to grab a bite in all of not just Ferndale but really the surrounding greater metro area. To reference Highlander, there can only be one and Thai Garden is just that, number one! Bang for buck, the food is always remarkably consistent and you are going to be graciously rewarded for either sticking to and/or veering off the well-trodden path of Pad Thai (Might I recommend the SP11!). The service is top notch and the love and care put into the craft of not only making the food but serving it as well should not go unnoticed. Sometimes, we forget that food is art in all forms. Sometimes, we forget that the people behind the food are just as important as the dish itself. Sometimes we are gifted the best of both worlds in service and dining and that is absolutely the case with TG. Needless to say, I have never once been disappointed. It's been my rock for many years and even in the years that I've moved away from the homestead, I am eternally grateful to say I've always found my way back with an eager belly. If I could give out 6 stars, you know I would. If you find yourself reading this today, I hope you and yours are well and well-fed. Thanks for your time. - Glenn A. Scaul
Robert Garrison: Amazing thai food! We had pad thai and pad thai curry and both dishes were tasty with a big enough portion that it was enough for both dinner and lunch the next day! We will definitely be back!

Michelle Barkley: The pictures are beautiful! First time eating Thai and I officially love Thai food! Extremely fresh! The fresh rolls were the first to go and whatever sauce that is...my gosh. I got the Tom Yum soup with a spice level of medium...definitely good. Haven't tried my sweet and sour vegetables but I'm sure that's good too. jord eats: I hate to leave this 2 star review but I just feel like that’s the honest truth. The service and prices were amazing, 5 stars. The food was just really not good. I got the seafood in brown sauce which was not even edible for me. I love all kinds of seafood and really any food in general, but this dish just tasted like the ocean. The flavor was overwhelming. The curry noodles were almost like a fettuccini Alfredo and extremely creamy. The sweet and sour vegetables were mediocre but tolerable. The spring rolls / crab rangoons / dipping sauce were bland. I really didnt enjoy the food here or get any authentic thai flavor.

Ron Reed: This is a great place for carry out. If the weather is good, I recommend eating a cross the street at one if the picnic tables in Capital Park.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes Pad Thai …More

Limon Ahmed: Best food
Erik Przekop: The hot & sour soup had no spice and had an odd aftertaste. I only had a few tastes before I gave up on it. The vegetable curry (ordered medium) also had no detectable spice. Overall the flavor was fine, just nothing to distinguish it. I won't order from here again, but maybe they're just having a bad day for soup, and the local clientele is sensitive to hot spices?
Vik P: Recommended dishes More
Josh Wise: Pretty standard, but now getting any meat is a dollar up charge even for chicken on top of paying a premium because there’s no competition downtown. Very hit and miss if it’ll be open or not.Recommended dishes Pad Thai …More
ROXANNE JABALEE: Sign says they're open till 5:00 however they are gone by 2:30 p.m. probably change their hours but didn't update their info
Kahn Stein: Best Thai in the D, boom.
Nedda A: Pad Thai was dry and sauces. Like eating plain noodles.
B K: Food is good
Eric Tsai: Drunken noodle hot is not that hot. Too much seasoning and noodles were passable. Crispy rolls were oily AND soggy.Ordering/ counter area crowded by totally unnecessary table, remove the table and service would be 200% better. Cool wall art posters.
Matt: Watered down basic white girl Thai food.Wasn’t worth it. Very watery and saucy. Not authentic. If you’ve had authentic Thai you will be disappointed and unsatisfied I’ve eaten three different dishes from here, all the same, bland and basic.Staff is friendly and good, they get 5 stars.Food, 0 stars.
april fooley: They have recently changed the Spring Rolls and the change is disturbing. The rolls used to have finely shredded veggies inside a light crispy wrap; now the veggies are cut thick and the wrap is thicker and tough. Very sad.
L. Walker: Excellent food had the sesame chicken, and pad ThaiGreat flavorsVegetarian options: The pad thai I ordered I asked for steamed tofu but they stuck some chicken..eeeewww but other than excellent
David Green: Easily the best Thai food in Detroit! Whether you want something simple like Pad Thai or drunken noodles, or something more complex and unique, you can't go wrong. They are usually very busy around lunch so I'd recommend ordering ahead. They even have box-lunch specials. Go for the crab cheese - it's wonderful!
Gary Vartanoff: Food is good and the portion sizes are decent. I get the new policy of charging an extra buck for protein, prices are up everywhere, but at least put more than 3-4 tiny pieces of chicken in the meal.
Randy D: First time at this particular location. Food was good I prefer my original Go! Sy Thai.
Keara McLaughlin: Love love love to get takeout here. Spice levels are accurate and extensive and the pad thai is to die for
