Fatima Ali: I went in to buy a card expecting to be treated with good customer service, but I ran into the big black guy with a beard and he was very rude and unprofessional towards me. He tried to overcharge and rip me off when I was trying to purchase a card. There was a nice guy named Jay who tried to resolve the matter professionally but was told to stay out of it by the big buy with the beard. Unfortunately I do not know his name because he refused to give it to me. This will be my first and last visit to collectible investments.
Fishing Frenzy: Was a great spot for cards. They have gotten greedy. Trying to charge extra per card for shipping, on a card in the binder. They are allowed to charge what they want but it's over tcg price significantly.
Jeff Jack: Great place. First time there . Great for Pokémon cards . Guy behind counter was supper cool giving my son 2 free cards that he wanted valued at $12. Will be going back when I have more money to get my boy some cards.
Devan Ternan: Excellent prices on sealed products and individual cards. They have a good selection of individual boosters, booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, and singles. Employees are very nice.They also gave me a really good price for the Pokemon singles I sold there.

Anyone interested in tournaments, this place has a great vibe for it, no hostility.Also had a good selection of Pokémon singles and sealed merch.

Samantha Thieman: Bob was great I felt so comfortable and at ease with selling part my uncles coin collection.i brought in only a handful of things that I had researched to try to find someone that I could trust to treat me fair when selling the rest.Bob went through each price n told me about the coins and then gave me a price.he was way above my expectations it was like sitting with my uncle one last time talking about coins n just being content with where we we were for that moment, to slow down in a hectic world,thank u Bob.i thought this experience was going to be bad and hurt having to sell something my uncle cherished so much,if it had to be sold I'm glad it's to someone like Bob.

Adam Rainey: Very confused by the negative reviews, so I might as well write one. I have been shopping here ever since I recently moved to Detroit. This store is jam packed with YuGiOh and Pokemon product (New, old, sealed, singles), not so much Magic The Gathering. I would consider this store a hidden gem. The staff are very nice and responsive to my questions and inquiries. Just don't walk in acting like an idiot and you'll be fine!

TV x Summon: Bought 3 Elite trainer boxes here got no hits out of any of them. They must tamper with these boxes because all the packs i have opened has been nothing good. Nothing good and super cheap. Must be buying with someone who tampers with the boxes. Would give 0 stars if i could, DONT BUY FROM THIS CHEAPSKATE DUMB PLACE. That is why everything is cheaper then the actual price.

SomeRandomHighguy: Went in and browsed before trying to sell as the man working was chatting with other customers. When he was finished talking I asked if he sells individual pokemon cards because i did not see any displayed. He proceeds to ask me what I am looking for and i state i was just wondering because I had some at home and that I was just looking to sell some sports cards. He asked me what year I tell him 91 and he bluntly says they are worth nothing. I then go to tell him I have a couple of older ones and as I am taking them out he sees all the other ones he said are worth nothing and says it again. I tell him i need to pull out the other ones. When I finally do he says they are reprints without even taking a look.

They saw my Japanese Pikachu cards. They told me to give a price, I did (not knowing current prices) and they replied NO! Not because it was to much. But because it was to little!! Ended up with double of what I thought they were worth. So as a anxious person they made me feel calm in the fact I don't need to second guess if I got a good deal! Cause they are the ones to treat you right! Even if league wasn't located there. I'd still be going back. Can't wait till I'm back again! Thank you all. For a great experience!!

I contacted customer service and was told that whatever happened to the packs happened in shipping. Uhh... no, packs don't tear themselves open across the bottom and then glue themselves closed on their own. So I sent pictures.I was then called a scammer trying to get free packs.At this point I knew I wasn't getting a refund so I sent them video of me opening the packs by their reseal. To which they respond by denying that the packs were sold by them, and have since stopped responding.Wouldn't recommend.Edit* I would like to apologize for my aggravated response but I am not a liar. Good for your husband. And no what bothered me wasn't his broken English it was his the way he addressed the situation. Blatant denial.

Steve Serra: Very friendly and helpful staff. The shop has a great selection of both retail and hobby boxes. I was also pleasantly surprised that they carry TCG cards (MTG, Pokemon, Yugioh, etc) in both sealed and high-end singles. This is a must visit shop if you're into cards, period.67* gold stars- Jinzo
J W: Located right near the subway on Harper. They have a huge selection of cards in boxes and even some graded. Wasn't very busy when I came in the employees were only ones there. Kind of ran like a flee market with multiple vendors in the single space. Friendly staff and knowledgeable would recommend to anyone looking to sell or buy cards that need help in looking for the right thing. Parking lot in the back.

Will LaMilza: Have always driven by, but never gone in until this evening and I’m so glad I did. I had recently purchased some older sports cards of Detroit legends in hopes they might be worth something some day. Unaware of how to get cards appraised the guys inside were able to answer all of my questions and teach me some of the ins and outs regarding buying and selling cards. They were able to direct me to certified appraisal companies and even told me if anything I had was worth the time to invest in.They offered to help guide me in the future and connect me with people who had larger libraries of rare cards if I were interested in purchasing more. Would 10/10 recommend and I will be a regular around their shop I’m sure.

Dino Filias: Nice card shop! Large variety of higher end hobby boxes as well as retail versions of the cheaper blaster boxes. Shop owner was pretty cool and discounted some packs for me as I bought out the last loose packs of the 2022 Topps Chrome Sonic Lite box.

Jon Johnson: The guy was very unprofessional. I was just trying to have a normal conversation about his products and asked about if he traded cards for product? An his reply was "We don't do trades but we do in-store credit" So if that doesn't show how ignorant the owner is then I can't be any clearer on that part. An he had a lot of over priced retail. An limited hobby inventory on hobby boxes. So save your money and just hit the retail stores if and buy the same products at the cheaper price. I will never step foot back into that store because it just was awkward feeling and no one should ever feel that way in a public setting.

Rafal Modzelewski: Used to be the best. I get my sports card somewhere else now. New manager ruined the store. Items are up that aren’t for sale. Plays games with customers. Will eat a tangerine in front of you and start touching everything. Lamest humor. He will say sorry you feel that way but the bad reviews are true and a lot of people in the sports card community feel the same way about him.

I have stopped by Grandslam Sport a few times and have had all the luck I need, Dave the owner is great, his prices are the lowest, you will not find any better prices Anywhere!!!!!! The shop has all the proper fixings making it a Tier 1 Hobby shop for those interested in Baseball, Basketball, Football and Soccer sport collecting.
