Steve French: Like most unions, If you are older than your mid 20's and have no formal experience good luck joining. You have to know the right people to get in...They'll pretty much just ignore you otherwise after they waste your time. I applied, took the test, passed the test, took the interview. After the interview they all shook my hand and told me I would hear from the school in a few weeks. Well that interview wass in October 2020, i never heard anything more... No email, mail, call anything. Don't know how many guys I talked to that wanted to join but never heard anything back. Things they had in common, older than mid twenties and no formal experience...Crazy how all these unions claim no experience needed but they won't take anyone without experience. There's plenty of people that want to join the trades but the unions won't accept them. It's upsetting coming from a family of union trade workers. And the pay doesn't keep up with inflation, every contract the pay drops...

That Guy: I wish I could give 5 stars, I do, but everything I've seen, I can't. On the rare occasion I actually needed representation, the rep that dealt with my situation seemed awfully more sympathetic to management than a dues paying "brother". I've worked for several unions in the past and all looked out for its membership, but I can't say that about this one. I'm all for Unions, but if this is the type of representation the UAW gives its members, then what the hell is the point of even paying dues??? Seriously considering leaving.

Heaven Lee Breeze (Heavenly Helper): Not even worth the one star! The UAW cares nothing about the employees as I've heard many of them asking if I'm paying into the union before they will even help You! THEY do nothing to help, you work your life away tearing up your body, and they make it known that they don't care about you unless your paying these slimes! Get a job without a union, your just a number on their paycheck to them! My dad has worked with Chrysler so long, that even he can tell you what they used to be (kind and cared about everyone) and what they are now (hateful and money hungry!)!!!
