Bea Writes: Asked for refund because I didn't know they didn't wear gloves. Cook sneezed and continued to make pizza. They wouldn't give me a refund because my pizza was already in oven (not the pizza he sneezed around (he did cover but its the point). Hands are dipped in containers (toppings) with juices. They said they don't wear gloves but constantly wash hands. Cook washed hands (for one sec) after I mentioned the sneezing . It's soo many germs that can be spread from bare hands touching food. Customer service all time low. The cashier was understanding, but it wasn't his choice to give a refund.(Pie Sci response, gloves are not a requirement. However it's a requirement for me. How hard is it to give a customer a refund or how hard is it to show a little concern for a paying customer. Also, I left one review on my behalf, now if someone else was bothered by the lack of customer service, that is their choice to write a review as well.)

mary williams: This little gem popped up when looking for food in Detroit. What the heck, decided to stop in and give it a try.We ordered the Notorious P. I. G. ordered it in Detroit style. It had a little bit of everything on it. Ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, pull pork along with a few other ingredients. It was very good, I enjoyed every bite. Very relaxed atmosphere, self-service on the drinks (pop). The Detroit city soda deserves a quick mention because it's so good. If you're ever in Detroit, I recommend making this a stop.

Ryan Michael: I’ve had vegan pizza all over the country & this is easily the best in the Midwest (along with being a strong contender for the national title).Some places just can’t get the cheese right. Most of them offer veggies with no meat substitutes. Pie Sci has everything and does it all amazingly. Their pies are as creative as they are filling and delicious.Seriously, go here. It’s incredible. Friends that have eaten their non vegan pizzas rave about them too. The people that run it were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Not greasy.Biggest gripe is the sauce was a bit bland. Definitely under seasoned but was also lacking any zip. The Packard Pepperoni comes with some honey on it which I feel would have been great if there was some acidity to counterbalance the sweetness. Instead it was more of a 1 note flavor throughout.All that said my pizza also looked different from other pictures. Cheese came up halfway to crust top and pizza was like a half inch thick. Not really Detroit style. Automate Trade show is in town so maybe I just caught them on a bad night.Oh and the size is definitely more of a personal pizza (maybe if it was like pictures it wouldn’t be).

Mark Rozenberg: They're closing in a few days and I heard great things about the pies. If you go they may be short-staffed so be patient. The reason my review is low is food and service. I gave them a nice tip on my credit card but somehow they entered a larger tip amount. I'll be calling them. Next, the pies were undercooked. I checked the underside and it looked OK but I should have asked or sent them back. They have a limited menu so make you know what you're ordering. I think one of the pies went to another table and I got theirs by mistake. I heard that for a time it was great but I'm not concerned about going back. They had a good idea but it didn't last.

Amber Nadira: The pizza was good. The wine was great. The special was sold out. I didn't know it was karaoke night though. Music from karaoke was playing as well as like a spotify playlist so the noise was a bit distracting. Otherwise I had no problem getting seated. The food came really quickly. We decided to try authentic Neapolitan pizza after watching "The Pizza Show" series on TV and seeing what is required to be certified.Our 2 pizzas unfortunately didn't look as good as the others I've seen in reviews or Google images for Pizzaplex. Burnt crust beyond normal Neapolitan stole some enjoyment. Pizza flavor was good, the crust that wasn't over cooked was tasty. Cheese wasn't melted very well making it difficult to get the full experience.The tiramisu, although flavorful, was not as pictured either. Unfortunately it was eaten by the person that ordered it before I could get a picture.Friendly staff, nice interior, fair pricing. Glad we tried it, likely won't make the 20 minute drive for another. My review is overall based on 3 people's opinion and 2 pizzas and a dessert.In all fairness, every place should get 2 tries to determine overall quality. I would NOT tell anyone else not to give it a try first.They get an extra star for being good stewards in the neighborhood. It's nice to see the area making a rebound.

Matt: Best pizza in the h00d. Been grabbing pizza from here since they opened. I've been tearing the diavola up while my wife has been going through the one covered in porcini mushrooms. Seems like they cycle through employees rather often so don't let one lackluster food experience turn you against the place , once they hit a stride, they absolutely kill it.

Service was pretty bad, there were very little people dining and it still took us about 30 minutes for anyone to come take our order after they seated us. Staff was unfriendly and just inattentive. I almost walked out due to lack of service. I feel bad, I usually really enjoy the experience I have here so it’s a shame this one was so bad. Billy Van Bael: Service was SO SLOW . Waitress was obviously high and didn’t know what was going on. Definitely do not recommend if you don’t want to sit in a restaurant for 3 hours. Never cleared our plates took 20 plus minutes just to bring a bottle of wine. Couldn’t imagine how long it would have taken for a cocktail. Not to mention it was 10 minutes plus to even get greeted at all. Probably the worst service I’ve had ever.

james jones: I'm nowhere close to being vegan or vegetarian, but their options are some of the best I've had. The customer service is great, and I enjoy the ambiance. Their yam fries are fried to perfection with a tasty sauce to go with them. The French dip sandwich is my favorite, but I also love the general tso's cauliflower! Can't say enough good things about this place.

Josh Levey: Had lunch at Seva. Love the plentiful vegan and vegetarian options - almost everything can be made vegan. Nice outdoor shaded patio seating area (not technically dog friendly per a sign on the door, but its a nice space and should be).Ordered the vegan nachos and Caesar side salad to start - both were delicious. For mains ordered the jambalaya and the vegan black bean and sweet potato quesadilla - we felt that both were good but not great. Enjoyed our time here, will come and try other entrees (some of the sandwiches looked great) and would recommend.

And I was told I couldn’t order by Lilly, I asked why...She states their not taking orders , and the orders stop at 5:30.I said cool I’ll order on my phone I have 10 mins.Then the lady with the half orange hair(refused to give me her name)over heard our conversation and yells NO! Kitchen closed at 5:15.Now I’m standing there looking confused. because I’m receiving different information from two different employees. And I know I’m being lied to.I said well I’m here, and it’s 5:20 you don’t close until 6 PM how are you telling me I can’t order? She proceeds to tell me with a nonchalant attitude there’s nothing she can do the kitchen is closed.So I walk out, sit in my car for a second and then I walk right back in and tell them listen I’m hungry the restaurant doesn’t close until 6 PM!I arrived 40 minutes before closing this doesn’t make any sense.By this time ANOTHER customer walks in and he’s agreeing with me like so we cant order what is the purpose Of the doors being unlocked and the restaurant and not closing until six?So the lady with the orange hair goes and grabs the cook from the kitchen to talk to me(I have no idea why.)(Now I’m in the lobby ambushed with three employees telling me I can’t order And I shouldn’t be in here.Also another employee was literally sleeping on the bench, legs kicked up since my arrival. let me not forget that.)He comes to the lobby of your restaurant and tries to justify why I can’t order. Considering I’m literally ordering the exact same thing because my entire house hold is Vegan & my baby’s love it I make the hour drive because it WAS worth it. We most recently went & the food was DISGUSTING. The soul food platter had NO SOUL. Mac & Cheese - cheese less watery and loose. Red beans & rice OVERLY SALTED. Candied yams - no candy , dry & tasteless. The corn bread was harder than a hockey puck. And the catfish is HORRIBLE. From the texture to the taste and I’m an experienced Soy Tofu user. The only good thing we’re the collard greens but I did order 2 soul food platters 2 sides of candied yams ,2 sides of Mac & cheese, 2 sides of collard greens, 2 sides catfish & 3 additional biscuits. I have been calling & trying to speak with a manager but can only ever get in touch with “Lily” who tells me no matter the time of day that her manager isn’t available or I “just missed her” when I’ve called & left my number for a week straight. I’m outraged.
