Andrew G: Food was very good, with decent sized portions for the price. However, we did wait for over 1 hour for our food, while watching customers who came after us order, receive and finish their meals before we got ours. Was dissapointed in the service.
Deborah Adkins: Sweet little (literally) breakfast/brunch spot, but get there early or you will have a crazy wait in the beautiful hotel lobby adjacent.
Jacob Stock: Duck for breakfast? Yes please! Their duck hash is among the best breakfast meals that I have experienced. The balance between the duck, over-easy eggs, potates, hot sauce, pickled onions, and cilantro is nothing short of amazing.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Hash …More

Jessica Spiegelberg: We went on a Sunday morning (family of 4) waited less than an hour even though it was packed. The food was excellent no complaints at all! It was a little pricier for a breakfast place but worth it as there were limited breakfast options in the area.Eggs Benedict, french toast with fresh fruit, salmon sandwich, biscuits and gravy, and ham and cheese omelette.Kid-friendliness: Didn't offer any kids activities at the tables but the kids loved the hot chocolate.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible but seemed like it would be a squeeze or hassle with how crowded it was and the setup.
Victoria Nikol': I went here for brunch and the food was good. I had the baked potato hash with a biscuit. In which both were very delicious. We also had mimosa’s (a pitcher) which were also great. We all had different dishes but I was not about to get pictures of everyone’s meal. The menu was simplistic as far as food items to choose from and was not able to substitute items.(You can create your own omelette though, just wasn’t able to make it a skillet)But all in all my food was really good!!!
Julie Wilson: Food and service were great, comfortable atmosphereFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Biscuits and Gravy, Hash …More
A 123: Tried the Bacon Avo omlette and it was incredibly fluffy and soft. It was very well made and tasted great. The biscuit was good but wish they offered other jam flavors. But overall great place for breakfast.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ricky Gundrum: Fantastic brunch spot. Atmosphere is lively and food is always on point.

SD: Such a great experience. Friendly service with plenty of food to eat. the waffles were buttery tasting delicious, Shrimp and grits were amazing my advice to you taste the grits before adding any salt pepper or sugar.I enjoyed the food so much I went back twice in the same week. I wish the ladies restroom had paper towel to dry your hands
Janet Marshall: We had to wait 2 hours to b seated another 30 mins to have our orders places 45 mins for the food chicken was cooked in old grease plates n things were dirty we cleaned them ourselves
Ebony Hobbs: Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes WingsMore
Dalon Kennedy: So this was my second experience eating at this restaurant. I believe this spot has so much potential. But there were a few problems with my experience.#1 I didn't know who my waitress was, until we got the bill. She asked us if we wanted more water at the end while giving us the check. But yet I'm forced to pay 20% gratuity??? For bad bad service.#2: The food was only ok. Being more specific, the grits were a little too congealed. The shrimp was good. But lacked flavor. We received one dish at a time with about 10 mins between the first and last. We got three things, the chicken was good but tiny wings with no meat. The waffles were the best thing on the table. The potatoes were cut different thicknesses with some being uncooked. I wouldn't pay 100$ for this meal and tip again.#4 We had a different waitress take our order after we asked for service 1 hour or longer after sitting there. She instantly started making excuses for our waitress. Saying it was busy but there was no wait.#4 The place was so hot, a lady passed out from the heat. Like muggy and miserable. SMHOverall I gave it a 3 but it was like a 2.5 overall.
Natasha Al-Rafie: Don’t reserve a table, not only because you’ll regret going here but also because you do not need one. We went on a Saturday morning around brunch, and thought it was closed because chairs were stacked on the tables. It was open. When we walked in someone walked in after us and told us how incredible the food was and how he planned to take a friend who was coming into town there and wanted to make a reservation, in person, he didn’t stay to eat.The food was unremarkable, family style, pretty expensive for what you get, esp the ambiance and service not being great. I ended up getting eggs over easy, bacon, sweet potatoes, and toast. The toast was good, the sweet potatoes were candied, I didn’t like them but my husband did so the verdict is out on whether I just found them disturbing or if they actually were good. Either way they are heavily candied, very sweet. The bacon was normal, and the eggs were not seasoned. My husband tried to order the chicken and waffles but after ordering he was told they ran out of wings, weird. Anyway, I wasn’t a fan and wouldn’t go back.
Tanoya Thomas: Everything was excellent. From the atmosphere to the service to the food 👌🏽
Everything Topshelf: Should of played the live music at opening. My wife an I would have enjoyed the live music instead of the playlist!!! Seeing as they didn't have my wife's chicken wings an this was supposed to be a staple on their menu!!!!Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Elethia Cooper: What a great experience and delishes food!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Arquita Brooks: Excellent service, excellent food but caramelized banana French toast my new favorite. And the jazz performer set the perfect relaxed mood for an outstanding brunch. Can’t wait to return to the area. Wish y’all were closer to NCRecommended dishes Wings, Potatoes with Onions and Bell Peppers, Banana French Toast, Sweet Potato Pancakes, Maple Bacon …More
Steve H: Went this morning and were the first customers in to be seated and served. They were actually cleaning/straightening up as we were being seated and it was cold that even the staff thought so and still had their jackets on. I really came for the Catfish and salmon Croquettes which they had neither of so i was left with the shrimp n grits because i only eat fish & seafood/no other meats. They serve their food in family style portions to be shared and you order how ever many different ones you'd like and we settled on the Pick 5...not sure if that's correct name. We ordered chicken n waffles(2 items), shrimp and grits(2 items), fried potatoes w/peppers and onions(1 items), + a side order of black bean veggie sausages. Food was all Tasty, only issue was that the food did not come out at the same time! We received the potatoes, waffles and veggie sausages at least 10-15 minutes prior to receiving our piping hot chicken and shrimp and grits! And our waitress never mentioned any drink offers 🙄 which may have been partially my fault because I asked for coffee so quickly because it was so cold inside of the restaurant almost as if they may have just arrived prior to opening and the place had not been cleaned and warmed up too long prior. It fills up fast and seating appears to be somewhat limited but plenty of potential if there is some upgrades on the decor(windows needed cleaning and interior could use a more adequate painting) but overall this could be a Lovely place to come to. Like i said we did not get a chance to try any of their drinks and the live music guy was having issues with his setup so hope that went well. May be worth a revisit on the right day to this Black Owned restaurant✊️ p.s. you might wanna pay with cash because there was a nice wait after our card was taken to pay the bill to the point that we had to ask the other waitress if she could see if there was an issue which we were told that there was an issue with their system and they apologized for the wait time. Give it a try and you may just find your new spot👍
Tanika Dunbar: Good food long wait 😭 food worth the wait sometimes. Wouldn’t recommend if you have something to do and looking for a quick brunch bite

Jerome Sweezer-Bey: This is now one of my favorite places to go the people are down to earth and friendly the food wow the way they feed you is awesome the food believe me when I say you will be thanking me. Oh did I tell you they play jazz and the atmosphere is right.Kid-friendliness: The people there made you comfortable
Jeffrey Jones: The one hour wait for your food was excessive. The food was alright but the wait ruined the experience.Food: 4/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Waffles, Grits …More
Franklin Williams: Today 4 9 23 I stop by here for the Easter brunch I got the 7 course for 25 dollars as I was eating one of my wing fell on the floor i was damnit I was that mad that food is good and serves too so my waitress came and give me another as I asked for my bill to pay she told me the group of ladies paid my bill so whoever yall are thanks I appreciate that

Parks & Rec Diner: what do users think?
jm: Stopped by almost a year ago and I can't wait to visit again. The food was great. The service was warm. The building--magnificent. Wishing you all well!
Easds: They told me they couldn't make a porkchop without pork unpleasant. Plus the waiter hit my dog for no reason.
ShoRyu King: Everything is good. Get everything.
Ashwin Gajendra: Amazing place located in convenient location
Sammy Samuels: Very cool classic diner with a bit of a modern twist. Located in an amazing old building the space has a counter plus tables giving it the feel of a classic diner but the menu is mainly made of dishes that have a 'twist' on classics. Had steak and eggs, shrimp cake benedict and brisket nachos (best of the three) - all were very good. Also have full bar and nice selection of drinks. Service was great and prices are reasonable but not 'cheap'. Definitely recommended for breakfast or lunch.
Carol Rogers: Great little place for breakfast. Will definitely return.
Renee: Retro vibe with great food! Small place but still managed to fit our group of 5.
Alexander Jones: From the great decor and delicious food (and coffee), this is the perfect place to go while you are in Detroit and are looking for somewhere for brunch.
Chase Cooper: Excellent food, cool ambiance
Sadia Haq: The location, building and inside of the diner is really cute. The staff is so kind and helpful with selections. But overall the food was not that great. We got the cast iron French toast (initially delicious but then the more you eat it’s just too sweet and doesn’t taste much like French toast), curry and eggs (alright, way too many potatoes, not enough eggs and overall not wowed by the flavor combo) and Raclette omelette (delicious! Highly recommended).
Rosalia M: Food was great! Service is okay. Boozy coffee and Bloody Mary where a nice compliment to our meal.
Robert Pfaff: Cosy corner brunch place, with amazing, locally sourced, and seasonal food. My personal favorite in the city. Alcoholic brunch beverages also available. Busy on weekends (10m wait). Street parking nearby and easy to find.
Meghan Kelly: Everyone here is so nice. Food is always great. Mega cute vibes.
Steven Frantz: Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, excellent service, and food that is beyond words. This is must try if you are ever in the area of Grand River Avenue and Cass.
Jake Bohnstedt: Tiny place, quick service, great food!! Stopped in for brunch before our pistons game. Food was really good. Decent portions. A bit on the expensive side, $30 for two meals and a coffee we split.
Lanell Williams: Service was prompt and personable, nice cozy place for you and significant other for that small breakfast spot. Food was great. Bursting with flavor, unique blends of spices and food combos give each entree their own flair. Would definitely visit again.
Don Kruse: Always something new to try on the menu and never disappointed! Excellent food and service. Avacado toast was great and so was the corned beef hash. Will be back soon!! Great job!
Mike Moy: Excellent food and outstanding service. I've been here twice and I'm looking forward to returning. Highly recommend!
Ashley Gillis: One for my Favorite places in Detroit! Been here a few times and everytime i am left completely satisfied! Staff is very helpful and the food is always amazing!
Cheryl Choinski: Great breakfast.
Sherry Edwards: Never been
