When trying to prescribe medications they have denied electronic prescriptions and left me on hold three separate times until the hold timed out and they hung up on me. My patient needs their medication and this pharmacy is actively preventing them from receiving their necessary medical care

Thank you @wallgreens #wallgreensThey take Humana Flexible Spending Visa cardTake heed @walmart @kroger @CVS @dollargeneral these are the stores that made it very difficult to know what OTC is approved or not and did not take my Humana card
Ashley Hessel: Had a prescription sent here by mistake, tried to call to get it moved to my regular pharmacy or shipped to me was put on hold forever and still couldn't get through. Filled out online to ask for a shipment (never got a notification if was shipped). I get everyone is short staffed but like ???????

Margaret Hatten: Going thru the drive thru is a reason to keep anxiety medication in your system. People in drive thru can see them walking right past the window not even acknowledging the waiting customer. What happened to all the pharmacy staff ? It's a hot mess express now

The pharmacy needs training on how to treat customers, answering the phone and filling prescriptions in a timely manner (prescription was called in around 3:30 Saturday told to come back this morning, called and was on hold for an hour and 3 minutes only to be told it wasn’t filled and it would take an hour which would be when they shut down to go to lunch).
matt Robben: Terribly run pharmacy. It may be that they are short staffed but I called for a prescription refill 4 times this week and was put on hold for more than 30mins each time without ever getting through. Walgreen's website is down so I went to the pharmacy in person and was told that they do not have my prescription. I've confirmed with my doctor that the prescription was sent to their pharmacy. I am now a full week without my medication. If you can, get your prescriptions somewhere else!
Lauren Teal: Closed over an hour early. White crep said they're closed and was rude about it. Security guard said there was an incident. I had to tell her to smile. Rude for sure. Definitely not a place I'd visit again
Kayla Brown: I had such a terrible experience in this store last week with a manager named TOM, who was rude and unhelpful towards the cashier servicing me and to me. Its ashame you show respect and treat workers kind and don't receive the same energy in return. Filed a complaint with customer service and of course no contact back, response or anything to get this issue resolved or addressed. Then the way that they have security in your face and space the entire time you are in the store, is very annoying and displeasing . Close the entire location down honestly! I don't even live in the area but stop by occasionally when I am but after the last few experiences I will be avoiding it at all costs. Shame on walgreens

Now I see why they all are closed down.

Trying to call to get a prescription filled is terrible: they'll pick up the call and send you back into the queue over and over again and will hang up on you. Great example of employees viewing the customer as the enemy and the management doing nothing to stop it.

Jessica “Aries Mixie” McCaney: I was there today and one of your female cashiers was so nasty and rude. I will never go back! She refused to ring up certain people and walk away from the register while telling us someone else will come help. A long line formed and then she would come back, ring up someone else and then tell the next person to wait again for someone else to come to the register beside her and ring them up. She was bitter and nasty. I wish I had asked her name.

Savannah Diggins: The pharmacy is awful I called the day before for my prescription went the next day didn’t have it ready I was leaving for a trip right after and really need it terrible customer service made me wait 10 min no other customers and at 1:30 told me to come back because they are going on lunch.
HK Smith: There is one individual in the pharmacy that is exceptional (the reason for at least 2 stars), and he is why I've stuck with this location way longer than I should have considering that... I have gone without needed scripts for weeks at a time multiple times, I've had to call my doctors to resubmit meds (usually resulting in them sending the request to another store), they say they're going to mail them and they never arrive, there is no pharmacist on duty so nothing can be picked up, the window is closed with no explanation, etc. At this point it's affecting my health too much to give any more chances. Now I drive way out of my way to another Walgreens, but I'd rather have that hassle than the damaging unreliability of this pharmacy.

Kevin Thomas: Try a different Walgreens or the CVS on Mack and 8 mile if you need a good pharmacy and are in the East Detroit/Grosse Pointe area. Common medications are not in stock and prescriptions can get pushed weeks out. Communication/updates are okay.. they call to tell you that they don’t have your medication available 9/10 times.

Christian Kroeyr: This Detroit location has the most rudest employees working. I would not recommend this location unless you want attitude while shopping at this location on Mack and Moross at the city limits of Detroit/Grosse Pointe.

Kelly Daniels: Every time I call pharm to update insurance info, or complete other actions needed as instructed by their automated system, someone in the pharm picks up the phone then hangs up to disconnect calls (no one ever greets the calls, just a quick click). This has been a pattern across several months. Whenever I go to pick stuff up, they tell me they don't take my insurance, which is not true. After explaining that my husband gets his meds filled there, they will get it done and find that my insurance is accepted (BCBS-MI). Leaves me feeling like they don't care, don't know how to get the job done, and don't want to work.. Done with this pharm.
R Holt: Arrived at 12:07 for a 12:15 drive thru covid test. Pharmacy Tech takes my name and flips through papers. Asks me name again and what time I had appointment. She walks away. At 12:20 she comes back to window. I see her writing something. Four cars are now behind me. At last she puts testing item in a bin and pushes it out to me. I await instructions. She has walked away. There are no instructions in the two papers she has given me. I do what I think is best- scraping each nostril with swab. I wait for her to come back. After a while, I return the one form and test material to the bin and push it in. A gentleman in the pharmacy gives me a thumbs up. It’s 12:27. I drive off. WT heck. Very unprofessional.

Zeina El Dirani: Pharmacy is horrible they never pick up they're phone they will put you on hold for 30 mins and end up shutting in your face without saying a word. Save yourself some time and go to another place. This is my third time calling and i end up getting the phone shut in my face!!! District manager and Pharmacy manager Javneet i hope you guys see this, maybe you should start hiring people because youre understaffed and over working your employees this is ridiculous. Ive wasted hours trying to get in contact with the pharmacy and im positive im not the only one.

Everyone was very nice and professional. We are all seniors 70-87 years old. Appreciated having an area to sit and relax while we filled out our forms and waited for our turn. Free parking in the rear made everything easy.

Adam Schubatis: I went here to get my COVID Moderna booster shot. The staff were very friendly. The entire process was very fast. I was in and out the door in under 20 minutes. The only challenging part was that there was no bike rack to park at.

John Kustuch: My experience with Walgreens Specialty Phamacy has been absolutely the worst! Over the past year they have been nothing but issues each time. I take an expensive spcialty medication, my Insurance provider (BCN) will only allow me to get the Med from WSP, several times there have been so mamy issues that I recieve the medication nearly two weeks after I'm suppose to have taken it, which not only throws off the theraputic level of the drug in my system, it throws off my treatment schedule, which means, other tests and follow up have to be postponed due when I recieved and when I was able to take the medication. On several occasions I've asked for the specialty med along with my Zofran script. WSP has NEVER filled the Zofran, when this occured, I called and was told "we didn't have the medication in stock". I was not informed of this....I've had to have a new script sent to a local pharmacy to have the Zofran filled...I can't take the specialty med without the Zofran. After speaking with a manager I was told I could be signed up for heir web version of script renewal and that would streamline the system. I've done that several times now. I fill out the renewal online, the next day I get a phone call from them and still spend 25-30 min on the phone wih them...I'm not clear how this is "steamlined" or made my experience easier. I am NOT IMPRESSED in the least!
Zoltar Z: Fiils and ships expensive Rx even when told not to. Can't return. Insurance paid for almost all of it but I feel this is their way of insurance fraud.

Ricquel Williams: The pharmacist is very rude & disrespectful, honestly he makes it hard for any sickle cell patients to get their prescription. Every time me or my sibling comes to pick up my mothers medication he has an different excuse…Him and most of the stuff needs to be fired! (Some of the woman are cool).
Deedee Wright: This pharmacy do not deserve to have a contract with DMC. In fact...None of the Walgreens deserve to have a pharmacy with DMC. Particularly the one located inside receiving hospital. The pharmacist indeed racist. Very unprofessional and get mad then say he's not filling you prescription because your doctor won't change your medication to what he think you should be on. They don't have the patients of Detroit best interest. It's a shame this pharmacy went to the extreme to not fill my prescriptions. Not to mention the refusing to to fill a lot of cancer and sickle cell patients medications. So sad

I've been coming here because it's a hospital and they'll fill weird perscriptions, but not even that is enough anymore. The service is still insultingly slow and the pharmacists are still very patronizing.

Magically, a pharmacy which had earlier been unable to provide this particular med., was able to fill our script after Amanda talked with them. Amanda went way above and beyond what anyone else was capable of or willing to do. Amanda, we won't forget your amazing kindness and perseverance! You are beyond wonderful and we are eternally grateful !!!
