Phyllis McElroy: I phoned Dexter of Above All Rubbish & Trash Removal in September 2022, first after deciding to use a Detroit-based, African-American, owned business. Dexter handled the service he rendered to empty my relatives property of debris from top to bottom. He met me to assess the property after we spoke and provided the estimate, arrived timely, scheduled the day of the removal, was on-time with his full team, completed the job when he said, which was the same day, an 8-hour job, met me and did a walk through at the end to ensure I was pleased, which I was, boarded the home back up as requested. Dominique Rice: I ordered a 10 ft can on May 25 The drop was guaranteed before 4 pm the guy didn’t drop it off almost until 6 ! Here it is June second and still no one has arrived to pick it up. Their receptionist clearly just tell people whatever to get them off the phone. It’s poor service poor communication and today they aren’t even answering the phone. But yet I received an email about how was my experience and etc with the dumpster still in my drive way !!!! Over a week now.
uamakllah: Great Experience! Everything was top notch and on time from the receptionist that provided my quote and scheduled my service, to the team that showed up to complete the work. The guys arrived within our scheduled window of service and got right to it. They didn't complain about the rain, they explained how the service and pricing worked and got to work. Definitely would recommending and using this service again.

Gage Pappas: Their driver had unsecured debris that was flying all over the road, it messed up my windshield pretty bad. They act nice on the phone but will play games with you and never do anything. Connected with Dave numerous times over the phone, when he does actually answer he just says he’s working on it and he’ll call you back but then he never will. I see they’ve messed up other people’s cars on the road and haven’t compensated them either. This company is horrible to deal with.

I called and politely explained my situation and asked for information on the truck cameras, if I could review the footage, etc. Their customer service asked me if I was a cop “because I’m asking too much personal information”. They then started asking me personal questions “to see how I like it”.The unprofessionalism and unprovoked disrespect of the customer service department is detrimental to business. If you need a dumpster, do not hire Standard Waste.

Mike: By far the worst customer service I have ever felt with, between the staff and owner I was hung up on multiple times. Told that they didn’t want to provide any services and after they charged my card more than the normal amount.. I would go with anyone other than them. I always prefer to deal with local business but in the case, with this establishment I recommend anyone else. I ended up going with MGM dumpsters, the were very helpful and cheaper for the exact same item.
