Citizen Yoga Detroit: what do users think?
Zee Dak: I’ve been coming to citizens yoga for about 6 months now, my first time doing yoga was with them . Honestly I love this place so much . Such a great environment, non judgmental, welcoming , very calming . I have no complaints. All the classes are great ! My favorite is slow burn , I forgot the instructors name she is Asian background, she’s by far my favorite instructor! (Still love the rest very much!) great place ♥️
Juwon Harris: very welcoming and accommodating environment. Brandon led such a great yoga session that had me feeling longer afterwards. all the other classmates had such good energy.
Autum Sedky: I feel as though I can walk into the citizen yoga space and feel safe and cared for no matter how I feel about myself or others at the given time
Deanna Dittenber: I have never been to a yoga class and melissa was a phenomenal teacher in the slow burn session that i will be now taking this class on a weekly basis!:)
Yolanda Lundberg: I won a giveaway of a free yoga mat and after weeks of communication and saying they will ship it to me, I’m not local, they came back and stated they would not and we’re going to give to someone else. I was willing to pay shipping, no where in their giveaway was a disclaimer to be local. Truly sad a business would do shady giveaways and not honor them. Would not recommend just for that reason.
Jameison Walker III: The atmosphere was very welcoming. Although it was my very first time I felt included with everyone else. Lvdia was fantastic!
Bill Bynum: Citizen yoga & community literally saved my life. I'm so thankful! Peace & Love.
Gwendolyn Burns: I love this studio! I have met a lot of cool people here, instructors and students alike! It’s a great community and I’m happy to have it in Detroit. 💕
Charlotte Thill: Super nice staff, classes allow for all age levels to feel comfortable, and well kept studio!
Peter Varga: Great yoga sessions!Awesome and friendly instructors (everyone I've encountered so far, many differentinstructors), a great space (dim lighting and good aesthetics), chill vibes overall, and you leave with a sense of community/belonging.Also a great workout, every time.Detroit location has multiple changing rooms, bathrooms, and 3 showers.
Ashley Yunker: Was in town for a show at the ballpark - dropped in for a Sunday morning class - great flow with Shay!! :) Beautiful space, friendly staff. Very welcoming. Flow was heated, but not hot - bring a towel just in case.
Emily Weber: Instructor (Elyse) was excellent. All employees were also extremely nice and welcoming. Will definitely be attending more classes here!
Torri Smith: I have been practicing at Citizen Detroit for the last year now and I consistently come back because I love the instructors, classes and energy. The instructors are amazing (shoutout to Casey - she's great!); they create an environment that is extremely relaxing - but also upbeat and enjoyable. From the moment you are greeted when you walk in...you feel welcome and at home. I have referred multiple friends/brought them to classes at Citizen and they have never been disappointed. Thank you to the Citizen staff for creating this space for such an amazing practice!
Madeline Simone: Fantastic Slow Burn class led by Jordan - and great deals for students!
Janessa Monahan: I have found my home at Citizen Yoga. I am able to join class from anywhere in the world since this studio offers virtual sessions. Every instructor has made me feel welcomed, ensured I was connected in my practice, and has allowed me to be me. Even through zoom the instructors will pay attention to make sure you feel as if you are in the studio. The instructors and members of Citizen Yoga are all incredibly encouraging. I am happy to have found my home studio through Citizen Yoga's online option.
Tiffany MacDermaid: The space was amazing. Inviting, warm, filled with natural light. The instructors were not only extremely helpful but also very fun and laid back. The whole vibe was exactly what I'm looking for to help build my practice.
Kristina Graham: I truly enjoyed my first experience at Citizen Yoga! I participated in a blend class + it was a beautiful mix of vinyasa & longer holding positions — my body felt warm, and the teacher was so lovely. I would definitely recommend for anyone who has practiced yoga in the past + is looking to get back to a regular routine (like me 😉)Thank you, Citizen Yoga! 💛
Hayley Roukin: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThe best studio ever!! So welcoming, there’s a class or style for just about everyone and it’s truly magical. The energy here is unmatched and every single teacher is absolutely incredible. Happy to call this place my studio ❤️. They also put on lots of unique/cool events all around the city, definitely check it out!!
Bergen Bauer: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityJess is an awesome teacher!
Shari Dogan: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThe facility is clean. The teacher was excellent and the vibes were uplifting!

Detroit Yoga Lab: what do users think?
Lauren: I have been coming to Detroit Yoga Lab for a few years now and it is the best yoga studio I have ever practiced at. The instructors, atmosphere, and location keep bringing me back every week!
Haley Crimmins: DYL is the best! Love the variety of styles and teachers - you learn something new about yourself or your yoga practice every class. All the teachers provide support and alternate options for poses if you need them. Highly recommend!
Kenya Smith: I recently began practicing yoga regularly and I’ve been loving my unlimited month of yoga at DYL. It’s been a great opportunity to try a variety of classes with different instructors (all of whom are incredible), while I figure out what classes I prefer. Nothing beats taking them in-person, but I greatly appreciate that most can also be participated in online when that isn’t an option.
Dana Oestreich: Naomi Gold is full of wisdom, empathy, knowledge, and a killer personality! Her yoga teacher training was packed with Information. Her studio is exquisite and teachers and staff all lovely humans.
Rachel Klingelhofer: Discovering this yoga studio has been such a gift in my life! As soon as I walk in the door, I am greeted with the warm and peaceful energy it creates in people. That doesn’t mean “only good vibes,” or anything…. Rather, it’s a place with the power to provide warmth and peace no matter what energy you’re carrying at the moment.
Teresa Jacobson: warm and welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere
Christiana L: I am so happy to have found the Yoga Lab. I have tried many studios in Detroit, and though many were lovely - Yoga Lab is my favorite. I find the classes to be wholistic, the instructors kind and welcoming, and the overall vibe is great. They offer a wide variety of different classes and the monthly unlimited pass is very reasonably priced and worth it.
Amanda M: Fabulous studio. Everyone is so kind!
Roderic Walter: Enjoying a great beginning, and finally building some momentum after many false starts and a knee repair.Impressed with the helpful willingness to accommodate my needs, offer alternative ways to work through movements, and patiently lead me into excellence in fitness.I am treated with such kindness. I have landed in a fine studio!
Shonna Hawkins: I have practiced at DYL for years. There are a variety of classes to meet every student's needs/desires. Classes are accessible for any level and instructors offer modifications to make sure every student can fully participate in each class.
T: I absolutely love DYL! Have you ever been somewhere that felt like home? Warm, quaint, and just where you needed to be. That’s what DYL feels like when entering. I used to practice yoga consistently for over a year many moons ago when they were newer and found flexibility, more strength and peace. Then life happened.Fast forward to end of 2022 where I joined back up with a November challenge. Yup, they hold challenges to get your body and mind focused. I wanted to push myself to get back active and find a good stress relieving activity. I finished the month and joined again. It felt as warm and welcoming as it did many years ago even with me starting from scratch again.Definitely a yoga studio I’d recommend to anyone in the area with in person, virtual, replay and even outdoor options which I have not had the pleasure to attend just yet. There are classes for beginners, intermediate and those that are seasoned in their practice.
CC Courth: We have been attending classes at Yoga Lab intermittently for years initially lured in by the $35/two weeks offer advertised outside on a sidewalk board.Skilled instructors, a constant schedule that includes a variety of approaches to yoga, easy parking, excellent central location are some attributes. Oh yes, did we mention skilled instructors?Probably the most important aspect is that it feels safe. Living a life under constant threat, identity theft…you know… the usual, when the body wants more yoga this is the place to go, without qualification.
Megan Gex: So inviting! This is the most welcoming studio I’ve been to in awhile. A place where people remember your name and make you feel comfortable in your skill level.
Elizabeth Beal: Great friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Variety of classes that have all been wonderful.
Adam Nicholas Sedky: Detroit Yoga Lab has been a safe haven for me during tumultuous times. I love the energy and the design of the space. Hope to practice here for many years to come.
Jennifer Sakarian: I just completed my Yoga Teacher Training with Naomi. It was one of the best things I could have done for myself during this point of my life and during all the wildness of covid. Naomi and other teaching staff are loving, connect you with your beautiful body and really embrace the true teachings of yoga. As a student of yoga I felt challenged and loved. I learned something new about my body after every class and walked away feeling a little bit lighter. What a great gift to receive :D
Michael Darga: Been going to DYL for almost 5 years. The staff team always make you welcome and part of the DYL fam. The variety of teachers and classes provide a needed mix of practice styles to support you along your yoga journey. Special events add to the experience and meeting my individual health needs. My DYL practice has evolved into a needed and valued part of my week.
Diane Hile (Di&Randy): Wonderful studio. Very supportive teachers, nice mix of classes, great for all levels of yoga experience and physical fitness. Highly recommend!!!
patrice wade: My experience with Detroit yoga lab was so amazing. Naomi patience, kind words and motivation help me to stay focus and work toward my goal of becoming a yoga teacher. The Detroit yoga lab have a very friendly staff that greet you by your name when you attend the yoga classes and the studio is very clean .
Dana Johnson: I love DYL! I moved to the area during COVID and am so grateful to have found a studio that is managed with so much thoughtfulness, diligence, and care for the wellbeing of students and staff. This is such a special place. Lots of class options (asana and more) and the studio space itself is beautiful.
Ally Russell: Love everything about this studio. From the teachers to the students, everyone is so friendly and helpful and it’s just an all around peaceful, fun environment

Midtown Yoga Wellness Center: what do users think?
William Cooper: Great studio, great workouts! Love Yama with Armenak & Hot Pilates with Jen & Mimi - excellent instructors!
Christopher Chapman: Great studio. Only thing I'd say is staff should consider posting signs for people not to wear perfume.... Bikrim rooms are not a good place to show off your Channel
Nicole Tischler: Great classes and teachers. The interior space is conducive to yoga practice and is very well designed.
Anquinette Mosley: This past Sunday (07/17/2022) was my first experience with yoga and to top that HOT YOGA🔥🔥🔥🔥 But I only have great things to say about my experience. My instructor (Evelena) was very personable and easy going which made me feel very comfortable. The veteran participants were also welcoming. The ambience was serene and peaceful. And the decor was tropical with “Zen vibes”. Very clean pristine atmosphere. I was delightfully pleased and plan to make Hot Yoga a part of my regimen. It was indeed challenging but the end result was quite worth the 90 minutes 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽Had a very restful night😴😴😴 and wonderful energy filled day thus far.
lilah kole: I started doing Bikram over a year ago. By far the BEST yoga experience I have ever had, with all of the instructors being incredible.
Liz Beth: Excellent place to relax and sweat ...atmosphere is like family ...instructor are awesome make feel comfortable

Margaux Canup: Great studio, instructors and sense of community.
John Gifford: Positive:ProfessionalismThis studio is fantastic. Great instructors, owner is attentive and dedicated to running a business as it should be done. Great customer service. Detroit is lucky to have this place of practice. Would give 10 stars if I could.
Mika Carter: I really needed this... very hot and humid 90 minutes intense yoga. Thank you so much💝💝💝
iog supply: One of the few places both brave and genuine enough to still offer this buisness model to the community. Cant wait till i can afford to start my own hot yoga model downriver
Daniel Edwards: Terrific studio and teachers, very welcoming!
Super Hero: Great yoga studio, top shelf instructor
Derek: A great place for mind and body wellness!
Jennifer Wiseman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Stephene Martin: I have always had a great experience here.
Angie Fernandez: I love this studio! They offer so many different types of classes. I personally love the Pilates and HIIT classes. The instructors are so nice and the studio is always clean!
The Talbot Team Matthew Talbot Realtor: It has been a pleasure attending this studio. As a beginner the environment was fantastic to learn and felt very judgement free. My girlfriend and other friends are much more advanced in their practices and love the traditional Bikram classes and the other classes the studio has to offer. If you are a newbie or practiced yogi, this is a great place to go!
Warner Desilets: Loved my first class here and the instructor was great!
katy riley: ‘The cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears or the sea.’ -Isak DinesonAmen !
Janice Metzger: Wanting to delve deeper into yoga and find a place I could practice outside of my home, I made a spreadsheet of local [to me] yoga studios. Bikram Yoga Midtown scored high on my list of 5 criteria. The location has free parking available, is centrally located to my work and home, showers on site, a diverse crowd, and reduced prices for students. Additionally, they have classes early in the morning and classes late into the evening. The space is beautiful, and [I felt] beautifully maintained. If you have any mobility concerns there are stairs to get up to the office space and stairs to get into the yoga space. Be prepared to remove your shoes in the entry way. Also, there isn't a wooden floor in the practice space -- it's a different, softer material. I found the cushion provided by this softer material was easier on my knees and feet. The crowd was diverse in gender, race, and age. I was the chunky lady, and I received no eye rolls and no sneers. No one was unkind to me in the locker room. I didn't feel anyone watched me while I was practicing, except the instructor who provided me with a correction to form. In fact, I felt a little relieved to see other students taking breaks on their mat -- people here really seem to know their bodies, they know their own limits, and there was no external judgement in what a body could and couldn't do in any given session. This was reinforced by the instructor. The instructor greeted me warmly in the office area and checked back in with me on my way out from the class. During class she offered a modification to one of the poses when I was struggling. I liked her, and would like to take a different, less intense class, with her.Now the reasons for 4 stars rather than 5 :1. Overall, the Bikram 90 is not really welcoming for beginners. The instructor checks in with students, but does not practice "with you". I found myself watching other students to ensure I was entering and holding poses correctly. Also, the instruction, while positive and motivating, was quite fast and detailed. I didn't feel I could keep up with the speed of the instructions and was confused at times. I was reluctant to ask any questions because I was nervous I would be interrupting the instructor and thus interrupting the class for my peers.2. Additionally, I like when there is some space for silence while holding poses or the rate is a bit slower/soothing, because it allows me to focus on my own body and movements rather than splitting my attention. The rate of instruction I experienced was fast and detailed. Mentally, I was in a good place today, but if I was having a stressed day and was mentally drained, I could see becoming easily overwhelmed3. Bikram really adheres to the "Bikram" brand of yoga. It felt a little more rigid than typical yoga studios who will offer several modifications, or are perhaps a little looser with hand placement and body position. If you are a type of person who wants to learn "Bikram" this place will teach you that brand. If you're someone who is a bit more eclectic in your practice, you'll certainly be welcomed, but you might be questioned or recorrected back to the "Bikram" way. I'm more the latter than the former.4. Like with most yoga studios, this place has a few nickel and dime stuff -- most notably, they will charge you $2 to use their towels to shower. For the price of the class, ($15 for students) I figured this would be included, but it's not. However, these kinds of charges aren't uncommon within the Detroit Metro yoga studios.Overall, I probably will not make Bikram Midtown my yoga "home" per se, but I'd recommend it to friends who are a little more serious in their practice or are looking to "step up their yoga game". I also might drop in for a different class and a different instructor, just to see.To Bikram Yoga staff, instructors, and community -- ya'll were great! Thank you!

Andrea Marquez: The yoga studio has such a great ambiance with amazing views. You will definitely break a sweat with Vinyasa. I felt at ease and comfortable jumping right into my first class here. Highly recommend for all levels!
David Feygne: Good instructors
Trevor Washburn: Although my favorite class is traditional Ashtanga flow, there's something for everyone. I always suggest the Yin and Vinyasa 1 for beginners and all classes for intermediate and advanced. The atmosphere is calm, warm and positive.
Mike Pendleton: Positive:Professionalism,QualityI started practicing with FLY during the pandemic and love their new studio. It's minutes from my home and a clean and serene option for continued practice. Love this space and the instructors are all top notch.
Pure Ishvari (Pure Ishvari): Full Lotus Yoga is not only a yoga studio with top quality yoga instruction, it is also a community. The owner is deeply committed to bringing the healing aspects of yoga to the community. The studios are clean, professional, beautiful with great music for each class. I've made lifelong friends here and have loved being part of this yoga community.
Christin Lee: Positive:Quality
Jim Babiarz: Beautiful studio in a super cool location. All of the instructors at Full Lotus are top notch. Really. Try it for yourself. I started with the 30 day unlimited and tried different teachers and types of yoga. All good! ☮️
Drew Rambo: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityFLY Detroit is so welcoming. A perfect mix of teachers that care to guide you through a comprehensive yoga class. The studio space is beautiful and inclusive of yogis from all levels of practice and walks of life.
Lindsey Siehda: Love this studio, it is welcoming, peaceful and a real sense of community. So many studios try to push themselves as being a community when really it just is very cliquey place full of people trying to get somewhere and very "business" driven. This place is a house for true yoga to exist. No fancy philosophy lessons or cult like following. I love that it is somewhat small, I am able to make a connection with my self and the community without the pressure to be something other than I am.
marilyn edwards: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityYou will not find a more enchanting experience in our fair city of Detroit than the Serenity that will surround you in a Yin class at Full Lotus Yoga. Experience it for yourself on a trial basis. So glad I did.
Randiah Green: The teachers are so knowledgeable and kind, and you feel like you’re part of a community when you practice here. Plus the space is beautiful. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
Hannah Colborn: Such a friendly and supportive staff. Great experience overall! As a yoga beginner, it’s always nerve-wracking entering into a new space and being surrounded by more experienced students. The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome. I’m working on my $30 trial for new students to try to figure out what classes I like best, and will be looking for a deal on a class package soon!

Honey Space For Moms: what do users think?
Mariah Adams: Honey for moms is a scam that just causes more anxiety they kept charging me for appointments that they didn’t even make me aware of, & then charged me random fees saying it was copays after telling me I had no copays. Do not go to them for your mental health! They just make it worse!
Kelsey Hogan: LOVE me some Honey. I started there with a very young baby (he's 7 now!) in therapy and dealing with infertility as well. Nothing compares to my experience there and I will forever be thankful. Recently, I have explored groups and love staying tuned to what they have going on. Always something new! I ALWAYS share Honey with all my new mama friends too. It's a must!
finny fish: If 0 stars was an option, I would. Doesn't return phone calls, unprofessional, can't get straight answers on accepted insurance. I heard this place was great and provided a safe space for Moms, but after speaking with more friends - avoid at ALL costs.
Alyssa Ninneman: I'm sure this center has helped women and has some good services, but as a postpartum mother who was looking for help, they dropped the ball. It took 2 weeks to hear anything and I actually had to be the one to call them to check on the status of my insurance verification. I wonder how long it really would have been before they got around to contacting me. I was then told my insurance was billed through a 3rd party which they couldn't do. This being the first I've heard of this, I thought was odd and called myself. My insurance told me they didn't see anything like that. So not sure if whoever did my verification got it wrong or mine mixed up with someone else's. Either way this is extremely poor especially when being a mental health facility and women are coming to them in need of help. I can understand mistakes can be made but not contacting me back even after I sent a follow up email to my original email and not receiving anything back in over 24hrs and resulting in me still having to call is extremely disheartening. I wasn't contacting them for yoga, I was looking for help as a struggling mom.
Arianna Pattullo: Listen, in theory this is great for FIRST TIME moms but it's not inclusive for ALL moms...esp with toddlers. My 1.5 year old isn't welcome, but my newborn is? What am I supposed to do with my toddler? Hire a sitter AND pay to go to Honey? I tried it out via prenatal yoga class. They open at 9, the class was at 9:30, NO ONE showed up until 9:45 and no one answered the phone when I was calling to find out what was up. The class itself wasn't even geared toward prenatal yoga like advertised. I couldn't do half the poses bc my bump was in the way, and there was nothing that made it especially "prenatal" yoga. Still, I thought the space was cool and the instructor was really nice, but I wish you could just go sit and read or even PAY for a coffee. But... even to be in the space, it's $25. I really wanted to love it, and its a great theory, but it's definitely not for all moms
Coupla Lesbos: From the staff, to the management, I can personally say, this establishment is heaven on earth. I’ve never met such an amazing, understanding group of people. Keep doing amazing!
Emily Brady: Great space for moms to rejuvenate and refill their own cup so they can pour into their loved ones. The brush lettering class with Katie Stein Designs was outstanding!
Andrea McGowan: Seriously impressed with Honey. They truly care about moms and the needs we have. Highly recommend.
Stephanie Scavone: Honey is an incredible place for all mothers and/or mothers-to-be! It is so evident that the owner and staff truly care about your well being and are very passionate about supporting and empowering women. It is not fluff; I felt an immediate sense of belonging and understanding. I’m so thankful to have Honey as I navigate my new role as a mother. I can’t recommend it enough!
Kimberly A Ross Clayson: Honey was founded a bit later in the start of motherhood for me and I so wish I had this resource as a new mom or new mom of 2. Even if your children are emerging from toddlerhood Honey is for you. A place to support other moms and to feel supported. A place to learn to accept all the beautiful and varied ways motherhood presents itself to each of us individually and to be accepted. A place to find all the commonality we as mothers share and to find none of us is alone and it takes a community to raise our families. There is something for every mom to tap into to find peace and see all the beauty (and ugly) of motherhood. Check out the offerings, take a tour and you’ll find your second home.
Krista Kirkpatrick: Honey has been invaluable to me as a mom. Highly recommend mamas of all kinds pop in for a visit and some honey love!
Meghan Sharp: I was so excited to learn about Honey when we moved to Michigan with our then-9-month-old. From day one you can feel what a special place Honey is. All kinds of moms come to Honey to find unconditional support in facing all the challenges of new/young motherhood. Honey owner Brooke has a clear vision of the safe, loving space she wants to hold for mamas and it comes through clearly regardless of who is running or participating in the group, workshop or other activity.HoneyMama groups, mainly facilitated by psychotherapists specializing in maternal health, gave me an outlet for expressing and validating my struggles. The vulnerability and solidarity that group members share also helped me build fast friendships with women in a similar stage. My daughter is almost 3 and baby boy is due any day now - and I've already signed up for the Mama Again group this summer!Brooke works with a number of (mama!) consultants to bring a wide range of activities and trainings to Honey - yoga, potty training, estate planning, sleep training, individual and couples counseling, breastfeeding, to name a few - often with childcare. If you feel like you need a little support on your journey as a mama, give Honey a try!
Rachael Emmendorfer: Honey is an amazing, warm, safe, supportive place for everything motherhood. If you are pregnant or have a new baby you NEED Honey in your life. The new Honeymama group was a game changer for me after I had my first, and they have so much more to offer, and are always trying to improve and meet the needs of the mamas in their community. I can’t say enough good things about this place!
Heather Roberts: When I walked into the studio I was greeted and given a quick but thorough informative tour. The studio offers hair styling, child care, a breastfeeding room, lactation services, a peaceful work-space, and several yoga classes. Some of the yoga classes are for both moms and babies. I was enrolled in the yoga chill class. The class was very small with a few moms and soon to be moms. The room was almost completely dark with just a few candles string lights. The environment was very calming and the low volume music helped me to focus more on my breathing. We did toe squats, table pose, the butterfly, fetal position, child position, and a few positions utilizing the wall. The class was so calm I nearly went to sleep in the deep relaxation portion of the class. It was great and I would recommend this studio for moms and soon to be moms. I felt very welcome and would like to take another class or possibly enroll in a membership.
Mindy McPeak: Honey, for me, is nothing less than life saving. Being a new mom is lonely, confusing, and exhausting. The first time I walked into Honey I immediately felt like I was getting a hug from someone who knew what I was going through and just got it. Do yourself a favor. Pack up the baby, get in the car (I know it's hard!!!) and just walk in. We got you, mama.
Danielle Sargeant: If you are expecting or in the first years of your motherhood, you HAVE TO check out Honey! Such an amazing place with supportive staff and other moms. The moms group helped me get out of the newborn funk and helped me make friends! I wish I would have found Honey sooner and that it was around when I had my first daughter. Seriously, the BEST!
Lyndsey Wolfe: Honey is a truly amazing community and environment. It is incredibly supportive, nurturing and everyone I have come into contact at Honey has been wonderful. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The classes are educational, therapeutic and incredibly beneficial. The owner could not be more kind, understanding and genuinely interested in making every mama's journey a beautiful one. The child care staff cares for your child as if s/he were their own and the group leaders become your family. Honey/the Owner goes out of her way to proactively communicate any changes, new class offerings, new series and benefits through a variety of mediums so that all Honey Mama's are aware. I could not be more thankful for the fabulous group of women I have come to call my friends and support system, all because of and through Honey. I can't recommend Honey and it's services enough, you will not be disappointed!
Giulia Lampis: Here are a few things I wish I would have known before purchasing a 6-month membership at Honey (co-working and childcare).Pros:- The emplyees are great. The therapists, the receptionists are wonderful, sweet, strong women.- The hairdresser is a wonderful person and she’s amazing at her job. She’s really great.- The support group of moms was really helpful, I met some really nice people there.Cons:- The childcare room is often closed for random reasons. Some of them have been: the childcarer had to leave early, she was sick and there was no backup available, there weren’t enough customers to justify the business being open, the front door was stuck. Sometimes the management doesn’t even give a reason, it just states on their facebook page that they’re closed.- No compensation or apologies are offered for lost time. If you complain about it, all you get is the owner’s attitude.- They will keep your child for up to 3 hours a day, but if the child is fussy or wants to be held too much (which happens quite often), they will bring him/her to you (even in the middle of a work call).- General rules about class drop-ins tend to be kind of random. I initially purchased a 5 class bundle because the owner had told me I could use them as drop-ins for the HoneyMama group. After I used two of them, I was informed that actually I could only use those classes for anything else BUT the HoneyMama group.Bottom line: if you only wish to go to Honey to enjoy the childcare while sitting on the sofa and sipping tea, and maybe chatting to other mums, it’s a great place. If, however, you have your own business and you’re planning on relying on Honey to get your work done, not a great choice.
Sandra Scott: I took a birthing class here, have attended workshops, and I get my haircut here. I love it! The people there (both patrons and staff) are so welcoming and accommodating. They fact that they offer so many different unique services, some that are baby/child centered, and some more focused on mamas, but the childcare option is amazing! I feel very lucky to have a place such as Honey right in my neighborhood. Every single store, salon, yoga studio, and coffee shop SHOULD have a kid room with wonderful, warm welcoming people to care for our little ones. But Honey is the only place that DOES! It is needed and it is wonderful!

ElevatedYogi: what do users think?
Layla Zyaire: It was an amazing and peaceful experience. I have never in my life gotten to meditate directly before any of my performances before! It was life changing.
Trece: A Friend shared she was assaulted here by the owner. Weirdos
Esteem Rehab * Raise your F*ckn Vibration,SIs: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThe space was amazing and the guided meditation was even more amazing.. All my guests loved it and it was exactly what I need to complete my event 💜💫 🏽🖖🏽 Thanks again yogi!
Lucy Ghavalli: Positive:ProfessionalismYogi is really a magnificent soul I swear, i love you thank you for sharing your space with me!
Maya Biggs: I’ve been goin to this studio for years! I’ve been able to watch them grow as teachers and as people! They have truly become tribe and family! I love how our lil family continues to grow! Everyone that comes around, sticks around cause they truly feel the authentic love this place spills! If you haven’t been but are seeking tribe and and a family vibe don’t hesitate! There are classes everyday and I’m sure there is something to fit your schedule! They also host pop up events with vegan food, plants, painting, and a host of other events! This space is also for creators, they are willing to allow you to create here too!
S N: I went a long time ago and the people there are more like a clique than a community. The instructor was not great to beginners either.I arrived about 30 minutes early and the class ran long. I met a lovely gentleman who smoked with me and we traded some life stories. Very nice person. However then a group of women came in and it was like I was in the movie Mean Girls. The "queen bee" knew the man I was talking to but every time he would address me and I would react to his conversation, "queen bee" immediately and purposefully told me I was wrong and put me down. He ignored her and so did I but she continued as her clique just went along with whatever she said. It made the conversation really weird."Queen bee" seemed to be friends with the instructor and went over to hug and talk. I was already inebriated and thought I was being paranoid so when I saw them talking and periodically looking at me I thought little of it. During the yoga session I didn't know how to get into a lot of postures and it was super obviously wrong. The instructor would walk around but ignored me. She only helped me when I gave up and stared at her. Only then did I realize that the instructor was likely purposefully ignoring me because of what her friend most likely said about me.I did notice the class was about 20-25 people and the instructor would assist others, particularly her friend "queen bee" so I extremely doubt that it's because they were overcrowded. Not all of the people were like this clique but it truly takes only one bad apple to ruin the bunch. I would like to try this again but I would only do private classes and with a different instructor so they would be forced to be professional.
Rusty LeBlanc: Dangerous. Will not respect you. Will not pay teachers. Will shame you for taking health precautions and blame you for contracting diseases for not being spiritual enough. Spare yourself the delta variant, smoke at any other yoga studio before walking in, you’ll have a better experience.Leonard Coke has millions worth of assets and treats this as 4th business while claiming teachers are creators and not business people. State of MI could audit and shut this place down for running illegal business the second they would be tipped off. Do not support ElevatedYogi. They are trying to extort your wealth in the name of partying in Miami without paying employees or paying taxes. Most of the teachers you can hire directly so you can support community and enjoy yoga without propping up abusive business person. If you have ever fired someone for asking for a written agreement because you didn’t want people being transparently paid, you don’t deserve to call yourself a spiritual guide and community leader as a business owner.9000+ Instagram followers indicates a significant revenue base for a business. I would hope a business operating for 6 years under the guise of legality could handle paying people and following the most basic of community health guidelines during a global pandemic. The business is pretty good at actively blocking social media criticism, I wonder how they would handle Dana Nessel.Leonard Coke doesn’t care about your well being. Leonard didn’t even care about yoga until trying to be a predator to the numerous yoga instructors he preys off of and uses studio as a tool to use them and exploit them for personal growth. ElevatedYogi is a trademarked business created by Leonard as a place to smoke and do yoga, but will shame anyone who doesn’t treat yoga like 4th job because they are proud to treat the art as a profession. Just like they will shame disabled people for wanting others to take a global pandemic seriously because not everyone has access to medical care or high functioning respiratory health. Wearing a mask doesn’t stop people from practicing yoga. Only a non-yoga teacher who doesn’t connect to their breath would think something so insane for 2 years that masks are propaganda tools as opposed to tools that cover your face and mitigate risk of particles moving in or out.ElevatedYogi is not the place to support yourself or do yoga, unless you are trying to smoke a ton of weed, not pay for your yoga class, and contract the delta variant as reward for your efforts. Hire the teachers for privates, or support the other studios that actually care about the community rather than only profit off of and exploit the community. Detroit take back your power and demand better for your wellness than this hypocritical place of lies and oppressive life practices. This place would be shut down the moment held to scrutiny outside of East Side Detroit, and it’s unfortunate since the concept would be great if Leonard didn’t exploit people with concept violating fair labor laws to make this what it is.
Amanda Cohen: Very welcoming, peaceful energy, good people
H Kesto: This place is wonderful! Beautiful studio, great people, contagious vibes. Highly recommend :)

Adeline Estrada: Absolutely loved my experience here! It was my first time even doing Yoga and I will definitely be back for more. I was nervous with this being my first time but everyone made me feel so welcome and the instructor was great. I didn't feel lost at all even as a beginner so i would totally recommend it!
