JaMise Wash-Lang: Creative Expressions Dance Studio is the Bomb! I started dancing at CEDS when I was a little girl and for over 30 years, Creative Expressions has been my second home. From the beginning, I was given so many oppourtines to perform & compete across the US & I met friends that became my sisters and we are still family to this day! #CEDS4LIFE I started teaching when 16 & today I am the Director of our tumbling program. I also teach jazz & lyrical & I continue to contribute my choreography which has gain numerous competition awards. If you are looking for a fun & delightful dance experience from a studio that has be operating for over 35 years & a professional staff with over 250 years of combined experience, then give CEDS a try!

The dance studio offers disciplines in hip hop, jazz, ballet, tumbling, modern, tap and majorette. Starting off children as young as 4 all the way up to adults. With four decades of operations and critical talent being brought up here you can't help but to understand why once you're involved. The family atmosphere, historic memorabilia surrounding the studio and its constant growth as a business, are all reminders as to why Creative Expressions has lasted the times! Also, with the recently passed Art Millage, classes are more affordable than before!

Elizabeth Kusky: Two of my children dance at this studio (and I took adult classes for a couple of months before becoming pregnant) and there are a couple of things about this studio that are unique versus other studios in the area:1.) Without compromising quality, they promote an environment that is free from cattiness and the more negative elements that can be common to the dance world. Students are encouraged to support each other, allowing each student to focus on doing their personal best and on loving their art. I’m thankful to be able to introduce my kids to dance in this kind of environment, and from what I’ve seen students are learning and flourishing.2.) The studio is committed to giving back to the community. They are doing what they can to make quality dance education attainable for anyone who wants to dance.3.) I love the variety of dance styles they offer. As a kid I took modern and ballet, but deep down I really want to try break dancing. At Fli-City, students have options.

Chelsea Perrotta: I've been a student for a year and a half. They have classes for children, teens, and adults. I've always wanted to learn to dance but never took dance as a kid, so it was such a godsend to find a studio that has multiple dance classes that adults can participate in from hip hop to ballet. The instructors have such a great attitude and outlook on community and participation. Truly a judge free zone where the teachers and owners just want people to be able to freely express themselves, learn a couple dance moves, and have fun. Amber Shaw: I looked for a while for a dance studio with adult classes, and I am very pleased to have finally found FLI-City! The atmosphere is very comfortable with a wide selection of dances as well as different skill levels for each. The owners and instructors believe that everyone should have the chance to dance no matter their financial status or physical ability. They try to accommodate everyone and have a non-judge mental attitude.It’s a great place for littles and bigs. Age has no place here!

The teachers are all exceptionally talented (and you don’t have to believe me, you can come check them out yourself at the free Wednesday night open session), the prices are reasonable, with discounts for additional classes and family members, cheap drop in price if you want to sample, and just a really great, beautiful, inclusive and friendly community and atmosphere.

The Directors Jared and Alisyn are welcoming beautiful people that are not only deeply passionate about dance, but I have huge heart for the city of Flint as a whole. Fli-City studios is has lots of space, really big mirror and is always super clean. All of the instructors very nice and super flexible for your learning needs. I have been to many dance studio's over the years and Fli-City studios is the only place that I have been to that offers FREE practice time to all ages and skill levels on Wednesday nights. If you are a beginner look to learn authentic Hip Hop moves, tap, ballet and much more Fli-City is the place for you. By the way I drive to Fli-City studios from Detroit. So if you are close by or not gohere will be well worth your investment.

I’ve never been to another studio that opens their doors to the community for FREE for a few hours every week. The owners are super great and always in attendance. 5 starts just for the amazing studio with 12ft mirrors all around. Another 5 stars for the environment, I’ve always felt comfortable and welcome and 5 stars for the cleanliness and great up keep.

Aliyah vlogs: I have been apart of Terry's dance family for 4 years. The teachers, and Ms. Terry are all wonderful in everything they do. One thing I appreciate is the variety of classes offered and easy scheduling and a well put together recital. Dance competitions have been the best and push me to be a better dancer.

Jonathan Sedlar: My wife and I took dance lessons with Steve for our first dance at our wedding. I have two left feet. So I was surprised that he was able to bring me up to speed so quickly. I highly recommend you take lessons here if your looking to be a better dancer.
