Assenmacher's Hill Road Cyclery: what do users think?
Osvaldo Menendez: Great service and products. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Quickly build my new Fuel EX and we’re able to locate a the spec and color I wanted.
Christopher Wise: Fantastic service!
Linda Yanta: Joey, the service manager, was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Great customer service!!
Thomas Cummings: Love this place
Jana Light: They serviced my bike for the season. Joey was very thorough on what he recommended and the price of the work. When I got my bike back they had done a great job. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks!
Eric Kulis: Great store and employees. Opened early for me. Garth fid a great job answering all my questions
Jerry Signfield: Short staffed and the folks that do work on the floor are not very knowledgeable or helpful. They also just do not have a lot of stuff I would expect an LBS to have in stock. Hopefully we can chalk this up to growing pains in their 1st month of operation and they grow to be the best bike shop around
jeremy gatica: Waited around for 45 minutes to get help. Bypassed for customers that came in after me.
Melton Wright: Trek bicycles are the best in class. Customer service is outstanding
Ian MacDonald: Just bought another Trek from them today, under Trek ownership. Garth and Joey were awesome, providing for a seamless purchase!
Jennifer Curts: My first real bike in the 90’s was a Trek 820 mountain bike. I have always been a Trek fan. Trek recently acquired my LBS. The staff has always been phenomenal and so knowledgeable. I brought my Catrike 559 in for a crank set replacement to climb hills easier as I am transitioning from DF to recumbent due to a lumbar fusion. The service team took the time to hear my concerns and understand exactly what I wanted. They did a bit of extra research and found the best solution for my needs. When I took my Cat out for a test ride, I instantly knew they did exactly what I asked for. The cadence was more like a road DF bike that I am used to and the climbing is perfect for my needs considering you can’t stand up on a recumbent. Trek found a GEM of a team in Grand Blanc. As one of the senior staff told me, “they don’t sell bikes, they sell hospitality”. Although new bikes were rolling out the door, that team understands that you sell a bike once but repair and maintain it for life. Please don’t change a thing in Grand Blanc MI, except maybe for the sign depicting the “Belles Isle Loop”. There is no “S” in Belle Isle, Detroit. ;)
Chris Hnilica: Great service and product selection. Very knowledgeable staff!
Shawn Lock: Always loved the Trek product. Quality, appearance and price point.
Micah Link: Great place! Everyone was super friendly, professional, and they suited up and assembled my bike perfectly. They were very informative on their products and services. Thanks so much guys! See you all soon.
Jack Linn: Great deals on going out of business sale. Friendly service!
Steven Gumbs: Had what I needed. Great service!
Dillon Saferian: It is very hard to find people who do not say “no” to a challenge in todays world, Matt went above and beyond to help me get what I needed for my daughter! Thank you Matt!
Michelle Plunkett: I have used their repair services multiple times. They are always friendly and quick. Their prices are fair and they do a great job! They will even help me load and unload my bikes! I would highly recommend their services.
Earl Baker: The employees were very knowledgeable regarding what bike to purchase as a beginner. Left satisfied with my bike.
John Armstrong: I can't count the number of times over the years that Steve, Matt, and Justin have helped me out in a pinch. Their knowledge base is simply amazing!
Marissa Schaeffer: Joey was exceptional. His knowledge and understanding of the various Bikes, styles and sizes put my mind at ease, and us both into brand new bikes today. He answered all of my silly questions pertaining to seat comfort, and explained why I should be fitted for a bike instead of just buying one. I will recommend Assenmachers hands down every time. Thank you!

Al's Quick-Release Bicycle Sales & Service: what do users think?
Ben Lindstrom: Al's Quick release is great. Steve (who was previously the manager, and bought the shop from Al) and his staff are friendly, very knowledgeable, and above all want to help you find what bike (or accessory or repair) will suit you and your riding style best. There's an excellent selection of e-bikes, plus hybrid, comfort, cruiser, recumbent, BMX, and children's bikes at Al's, and a decent entry-level selection of mountain bikes and gravel bikes for enthusiasts. The repair work at Al's is very good as well; just in line with everything I've said already. The only thing really missing at Al's is high-end mountain and gravel/road bikes. Their in-stock selection tops out in about the $1500-$2500 range.
FatT ZakK: Great place with very friendly and knowledgeable staff!! Anytime I stop in they always have smiling faces and are never hesitant to answer my million questions! Plus they've got the best selection of BMX components in Genesee county. Thanks for being RAD Steve!! You guys are awesome!
Jack Linn: Good, friendly service.Thank you for supporting Kearsley Bike Tech
Fred: Great people. Friendly small town bike shop. I was unsure if I should keep riding my 14 year old bike or buy a shiny new one with all the new fangled hydrologic brakes and other fancy what nots. They looked at the old bike while I looked at some new bikes. They didn't try to upsell me to a better bike like another shop on Hill Rd. Told me that my good ole ugly bike that I have had was fine. That I really wouldn't have many advantages buying a new one, although I was ready to. Did a couple of tweaks to my bike and sent me out to ride. So when I do buy a new one, I am going here and no place else. Great bike shop. Great service and great feeling to have a shop you can trust. I asked about a more comfortable seat and he made a recommendation and even installed it for me. What a great place. Very happy I came here.
Angela Brown: This is my local, go to place in Davison for bike 🚴 repair or service. The owner and staff are knowledgeable, personable and talk to me about any questions I may have and I’ve asked some stupid questions. 😊 They continue to show me over and over again why I prefer this bike shop over others. The owner has fixed my bike 🚲 for free too. I highly recommend this bike shop!
Matt Homan: Fast friendly, and knowledgeable staff. You can tell these guys love bikes and put great care into their work.
Shamans Moon: I went in for just a crank bearing. My pedal was rusted on and the owner broke the pedal loose after quite a bit of effort. He only charged me for the $3.00 bearing. EXCELLENT customer service. I will be buying all my bike needs from them!!
Tammy Allen: I toke my Elderly Brother In Law here to Al's Bike & Repair Shop so, he could buy a new tube & Bike Tire for his Schwinn Bike. My Brother In Law can not hear so, I write everything down for him..Logan one of the Great Guys who Works at Al's Bike Shop was very patient with me while I wrote everything out & down for him. Logan was of great help to us. Logan showed us & gave my Brother In Law 3 different Options & Choices for Bike Tire to buy & get. My Brother in Law definitely needed a new Bike Tube & Tire for his Bike..Logan put Air in the Bike Tube & put it inside the new Bike Tire & we paid for it & toke it with us then. Logan was Super Nice & Friendly & Kind. And has Knowledge for ,Bikes. And about Bikes. If we ever need anything else concerning Bikes or if my Brother ever needs anything for his Bike. Logan will have 3 New Customers for " Al's Bike Shop" ..I highly Recommend this Place to Anyone. I saw some Friends here when My Brother In Law & I were here at Al's Bike Shop & I was Observing the other Employee Conversing with his Customers & he was very Good to them & helpful. And kind too. And I think & thought that was great. I like this Al's Bike Shop & Repair Store & Business. I saw about 4 or 5 Young Guys / Men Working here in the day that I went here. And I actually went twice here to the Bike Shop. I actually went the day before I toke my Brother I'm Law. I got their Business Card & talked to Logan & asked him questions & prices ahead of time. So, that My Brother In Law could know ahead of time the Prices before we got their the Following Day. And Logan was fantastic then too with me. And very helpful. Thank you Logan ! Your Awesome.
Kay Chamberlain: Great people very helpful
Ryan Macko: They setup my fork lockout quickly and cheaply. They had great service too!
siTTinLo: Al’s is my go-to shop whenever I need Any kind of maintenance or service done to my bikes. They are super friendly and knowledgeable and I can always trust that the work was done right! I am lucky to have such a great shop nearby. I highly recommend Al’s.
walleyedave 1: These folks are great. I drive from lake orion. They absolutely do anything in their power to help. I needed my studded tires put on my mountain bike and my shop in lake orion said it would be a week and a half. Al's quick release did it while I waited. Done in a few minutes. I don't expect this level of service every time but they seem to perform and produce every time I've needed them. Tune ups ,repairs very fair.
Char E: Jeremy was awesome😎✌ New tires, tune up and trail suggestions.....THANK YOU! They did a fantastic polish on the bike with the tune up. Can't wait to get out on the trails! 🚲🚲🚲
Rose Baldiga: Very helpful and efficient.
Christopher Pettit: Great Customer Service. My go to bike shop!!
Roman Getz: Great people with smiles and happy to answer my questions anytime. It's the only place I go now
Chris McCollum: When I first brought my bike in to be fixed, my initial impression was very positive. I was greeted almost immediately and the friendly tech proposed a few different solutions. I was also very pleased with the price. I originally thought my part was ordered right away later to find out it wasn't going to be ordered until more than a week out. I realize many bike parts are unavailable or on back order so I didn't make an issue about this but some upfront transparency and an estimated timeline would have been greatly appreciated. When I did get my bike back almost ten full business days later, my second short distance ride ended in the part falling off. It was the entire left crankarm that was part of the purchased crankset. I brought my bike back into Al's and the problem was remedied immediately. Even though an apology would have been appreciated, I was pleased to leave the store once again with my bike in working order. Customer service only goes so far. Like any specialty shop there's an expected level of expertise, a finished product that is reliable and quickly sets a sense of confidence around overall safety. I'd imagine the components on a bike range from do-it-yourself easy to fairly complex and I wouldn't expect a newly applied crankarm to come loose within the first hour of having the bike back on the road. I'd imagine this is a simple fix especially if my bike was in their possession for almost ten full business days. I really wish I got the names of the individuals who helped me during the first day and when the crankarm was fixed because this isn't directed at them personally but there is clearly limited oversight, checks and rechecks or test rides to ensure the part fixed is actually fixed. Whoever applied the crankset shouldn't touch a bike again and whoever hired the individual should probably reconsider their recruiting and selection methodology. I will never again bring my bike to this business and would honestly travel out of state if that was the second closest option. I also advise anyone who has their bike repaired at Al's Quick Release to take a long hard look at their bike after it's been repaired.
Charles Newman: These guys are great.
Lyndsay Williams-Gregson: Wish I knew about this place last year! My bike was “repaired” at another local shop and was kept for three weeks, when got back it was obvious bare work was done and bike was still not able to be used. Al’s though, Great service and customer service. Didn't have to leave my bike for three weeks, took them a few minutes, noticed what was wrong right away! From now on any bike work we may need we will be coming here.
A Z: Place was awesome, Great customer service.
Rebecca Williams: Great guys! Will come here again!
