Lucas Boerma: Great experience all around. Purchased tickets to the railroad spike to knife workshop as a gift for my father and I. Small home style forge with an intimate experience, we had 5 in the workshop with two instructors to assist. They gave us instruction and let us work on our own, always available for tips and assistance. All materials provided for an easy beginner blacksmith experience. They work with your skill level appropriately. Would highly recommend to anyone regardless of skill for a fun and informative experience. Great business to work with! He is a big fan of Forged in Fire 🔥 and we had a great time together learning some of the basics of metalworking. Shawn Anderson: I attended the tool class. The instructor knew what he was doing and was great at teaching me! The class is hands on from step one. Not only do you learn how to make a variety of styles of tongs, but you learn how to set / adjust them to the material that you'll be using them with. You are given options to make them YOUR tools and if you're not sure, you learn why it makes a difference and how to decide. I CANNOT recommend this class enough

Bob Hoag: Bill held a contest on Sunday, 24 May 2020. My son Josh won the contest and won a beautiful “Don’t Tread On Me” “Patriot” silver coin ring. Unknown to me, my son won, and gifted the ring to me. I have never been so honored. I retired from the USAF and then retired from the Mi Dept of Corrections after being severely injured at the prison. As a result of my injuries, I was forced to retire as a Firefighter for our Township. Josh and Bill made arrangements for Bill to present this beautiful ring personally. I’ll be honest, to me, this was as important as someone receiving a Congressional Medal of Honor. The thought, the recognition, the love put into this ring, means that much to me. Really great guys who were having a great time there and made a great time for me as well. Would 100% recommend this to anyone who has even the slightest interest in it. They are very great and friendly and will help you all the way through but allow you to be in most of the control, making it something special for you that you got to create. Tim Pigeon: I’ve been to the forge a few times. Each time every employee is courteous, polite, and quick to assist in any way. Ive worked with both Josh Weston and Brandon Britton. They are both extremely knowledgeable about their craft. Both were easy to talk with, great teachers and plenty of laughs along the way. I will continue to go there for more experiences. Great for gifts but also something really cool to take home that you actually made. 10/10 highly recommend giving it a try. You will not be disappointed.

I had Brandon as an instructor and he was super nice while also being really instructive by explaining exactly how to do things in an easy to understand way, such as how to hold the hammer. He really made me feel confident when I had absolutely no exerience prior to entering the forge. This experience is an absolute must for anyone at any age!

Tara Simmons: Brandon is one of the most charismatic humans I’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. He was funny and kind through the entire experience. He made us feel comfortable while we were out of our element and helped us gain confidence as we went through the experience. He even went out of his way to put a custom design in our wand despite how challenging it was. I have been to a similar place before on Mackinaw island and the difference between the two places is astronomical with the Bavarian experience being the winner. I will recommend this experience to everyone visiting Frankenmuth as a can’t miss location. Can’t wait to see you at the wedding so you can see our wand as a cake topper!

I saw there was a blacksmith doing some work, and my wife pointed out I could make something. She pointed to the menu of what I could make. To say i was excited!!! Is an understatement!!!I watch Forged In Fire religiously, so making a blade was a bucket list item of mine.Brandon was my instructor, and he made the experience so special. We chatted, and he told me the owner of the shop was on Forged In Fire. I was stoked. Brandon said i moved a lot of medal and was a beast.I will say they make it look easy..Brandon...he is GREAT!!! i can't say that enoughThank you, Brandon and Bavarian Blacksmith Experience for making this vacation more special than ot already is!!!

Our instructor Jake was able to make the experience full of learning and laughter even when we started to struggle/ get tired. We had so much fun and loved the final product.
