Mariucci Family: This is the worst company ever we drove an hour to rent a machine that was completely broken we had to drive it back an hour said they would fix it to rent it again and they never did, we had kept the chemicals here to use because we thought we were going to get the machine back. the machine never got fixed two months later they charge us 500$ fo the chemicals we told them to come get them and they threatened to call the cops on stolen goods when told them they are theirs to come get them!! we wasted so much money driving a huge truck 4 hours already for nothing! AVOID working with the company they rent broken stuff and stole money!

Shannan Kingsbury: We run a painting company and called to rent A scissor lift. After several times of asking the people who were helping us how much the price was finally we got an answer of $269. We gave them details for drop off and they told us that everything was fine and they were charged a card the next day. Day of the job they call us to tell us that our card is being declined so I told them I called him back and told them to read to do it again to make sure they have the right card and then they said it got declined again so I asked “how much are you charging the card for”? The guy who was on the phone said “oh it’s usually around $500” I said OK well you only told us $269 he goes “oh that’s just for delivery” mind you this is at 5o’clock in the evening closing time for them apparently so my husband and I asked them if they would wait for us so that we can go to the bank and deposit more money onto our card or if they would take cash. They said that the driver can’t take cash and it’s 5 o’clock were closing they would not accommodate us whatsoever!!! That was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life I will never recommend this company to anyone ever!!! Not to mention the guy that was on the phone with us told us that it was our fault that we didn’t have money on the card. Needless to say we went and bought scaffolding and we’re still getting the job done no thanks to you guys! We might be there till five in the morning but it’s going to be done if anyone wants good customer service you can call us at Best Brush Painting. I would love it if the owner gave us a call also. I can’t believe that he would be OK with this kind of treatment. Y’all lost a customer and I’m gonna tell you right now that we are busy busy busy!!

Cande Valdez: I was bummed out, I rented 40 chairs for my mother memorial which I was shown white chairs and they gave me old brown rusted chairs which I had to pick up and drop off and wasn't easy since I live out of town. When I picked them up I had to literally wash them all. They were very dirty and dusty. Drove into town not dressed for washing chairs. Disappointed 🙄

Craig Nicolai: I rented a bobcat and excavator from them.they never verbalized that a day is 8 hours..it's only in fine print at the bottom of the page..they also never explained they would keep 85$ in "damage waiver"..so basically they charged me 1000$ instead of 500$..Jim randomly decides who he will charge extra and how much.they have deceptive business practices..and Jim is a liar and extremely disrespectful.Run from this place!!!

Emily Brennan: After agreeing to do curbside pick up where they bring the power washer rental out to me during COVID-19 because I’m high-risk they decided to change their mind the day of pick up. We had agreed to it and he had even sent me an email for me to fill out the credit card slip online and sending my drivers license through email so I wouldn’t have to have any contact. Then when calling to extend the rental time he agreed but then told me I had to come in so they could show me how to use it. I don’t appreciate the last minute change and I will definitely never recommend this place or go back

JD: Customers renting equipment from Home Depot is not guaranteed so don't take it for granted. The employee I dealt with checking out was good. The big fella checking me in had some customer service issues for no apparent reason. There's no need to spend money with companies that lack decent customer service. I'm not a hard customer to please but I also wont accept poor treatment while handing over my hard earned money. Lost my business today.

However this year they forced me to pay them 5 grand claiming I totaled one of the tractors. Everyone Ive spoken with even the Kubota technicians themselves said this was not possible and there is no possible way they were telling me the truth about the damages that were done. They would not even supply me with a parts list of what supposedly needed repaired.In the end they got my five grand but they will never get another Penny from me ever again. I hope the scam they pulled was worth it because I will continue to tell everyone about how shady Alta is until the day I die or they go out of business whichever comes first.

Blase Schumacher: I had two machines rented weeks in advance, the first machine I was supposed to pick up for the weekend they called the day before saying it would not be available, I worked around it and understood that things happen and I appreciated the notice, even if it was somewhat short.The second machine (rented weeks in advance I planned on picking up the weekend following the first machine) was a concrete buggy.I called ahead to make sure I could pick it up the day of. When I arrived to grab it, they rang me up and sent me out to the yard for a concrete buggy. Not having the machine they rang me up for. My experience ended up with me leaving Alta without a buggy and having concrete ordered for the following day I was forced to go elsewhere.I understand mishaps, but twice in a row without notice the second time, made for a unpleasant experience with Alta Equipment Company. I’ve found reliability is not there strong suit, so be careful in planning jobs with them in mind.

Damon Oakley: Unprofessional, they rented me a loader, said it was on the job, it wasn't. I drove to alta and asked whats up, they said it got delivered yesterday and that the delivery guy wasn't in, I left my number and was told they would call in 30 min to let me know what was going on,needless to say they never called. I had 3 other guys on the job and equipment that all depended on the loader to make the job happen,4 hrs later I went back to Alta since the day was over at this point and I had to drive by there on my 40 min ride home and they now tell me they don't have a loader at all for me, so I don't even want to calculate what this waste of time cost or the fact I picked this job for the week over another and now I can't do either $$ but I didnt even get a apology for thousands that it cost me, Thanks Alta

DJ Fish: Contacted them regarding rental for my son's open house last year. I placed a deposit on some chairs, but had to change plans and asked for my deposit back. Instead of putting the money back on my card, they sent me a check, which I thought was weird. The check I got was for less than what I deposited, but it was $5 and I wasn't going to argue with them. Honestly, I forgot abut the check until a couple months later and deposited it. The check bounced and I was hit with a $20 NSF fee. So, now I'm out the original $25 deposit, plus a $20 fee from the bank. I called and they explained that they closed the account after they sent me the check and tried to put the blame on me. I explained that checks are valid for 180 days, unless specified. They then told me they'd send another check right out. After waiting a couple weeks and not receiving another check, I called again and was told they forgot and would send yet another check that included the NSF fee. It's now been about 15 months and nothing.
