Grand Traverse Distillery Tasting Room: what do users think?
Chris M: Yes awesome drinks great bourbon and rye
Darrell: Friendly courteous staff and tasting g free if u purchase
Scott Allport: This was such a great place to stop! Such a helpful and friendly staff. Harrison was absolutely amazing! He was so attentive and so helpful.
Amber Nicole: We stopped here while we were in town shopping with a friend. There was a great deal for tastings and Mariah’s energy made was really enjoyable. She recommended the cherry vodka lemonade slush cocktail and it was so good we ended up buying the cherry vodka so we can make it at home. Mariah also knew the taste of the distillery selection very well. Mariah even set up both my husband and in-laws with bottles of their favorite red wine to take home. There’s room to grow in this location too. We hope to see an actual tasting room or at least bar stools for seating for multiple people in the future.
Chris Hartman: A thanx from Eriboth's Invaders for the service and enjoying the company of our rowdy crew of pirates
r vix: Super friendly staff....enjoyed chatting with them. The wine and spirit selection was very nice. We found a couple of gift items for family members. I would recommend stopping in and checking this place out if you are in Frankenmuth.
Lizette Hnatuk: OMG!!!! Harrison is so knowledgeable about everything we tested and spot on!!! What an asset to the team!We bought bottles, 100% based on his knowledge and personality! Thanks for having employees like him!
Taryn Geiselman: Michael B was awesome and went above and beyond to facilitate our tasting experience. He was very knowledgeable about the spirits we tried! My favorite was the chipotle vodka which was amazing in a Bloody Mary. Would definitely visit again! My only complaint was the menu had “seasonal” listed with no specific season dates listed and one seasonal spirit on one menu was in stock and the other seasonal wasn’t.
Theresa DuToit: Came in for wine tasting. Which I enjoyed. But, now you have to purchase your glass separate from tasting.☹️ It used to be included in tasting. Staff was very friendly.
Hannah Lynn: Went in to grab a Bloody MaryA family was doing a wine tasting which is okay but all three employees were helping the family of three I was waiting patiently and one lady helped out the dude behind me and then just went back while I was just standing there completely ignored me then helped out more costumers still ignoring meSo I left I came back and the same lady gave me a weird look so I turned around left again
Michael Parks: Tried their bourbon, based on the price tag of $80 for the 750 ml, I opted for the smaller on. Man am I glad I did! It was one of the harshest bourbons I’ve ever had. I thought at first it was my ice so I tried a different batch, same “dirt” taste. Tried straight from the bottle and there was no question it’s the liquor. It might be for you but if I were you I would try the small bottle first before diving in head first.
J Ro: Top notch spirits. We'll be back when in the area.
Deric Cadora: Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and amazing whiskey. The standard bourbon was oaky up front with a caramel finish, and the double-oaked rye was a delight.
Helfer Photography: Goodtymz!
Seledonio Martinez: I was gifted a bottle of the cherry whiskey and had high expectations, boy was I disappointed. I have tried this several times and I just can't get past the taste of a cheap corn moonshine. Very little cherry notes and for lack of better terms, very earthy.
Amy Sexton: Attempted to grab a to go drink at 9:30, they closed at 10pm. Bartenders were short, snotty and told us they called last call 15 minutes ago and we should “try next door”. Yikes on the customer service side. We would have loved to purchase some booze and sneak out well before they closed but the rude service turned us off.
Jessica Friske: This is a really cool place. You can try samples for $1, or get three samples and a little glass for $5. My husband was a big fan of the Peninsula gin. It seems pretty reasonably priced for how good it is. Nice atmosphere, and the guys who work here are great, very knowledgeable.
matt riddle: Fish town or Traverse City you won't find a better drink. Every time we are in the area it is a must stop and taste then take something home. Wither its a cherry or chocolate vodka or a high end bourbon you will not be disappointed.
Topcatjack: Very friendly staff! Great spirits.
Adam Turner: Me and my wife came in on Saturday February 27. As we walked the gentleman that was behind the counter very rude about keeping amount of people in the store at the minimum he handled himself very bad rude. He was very unprofessional that was first time coming there and probably be my last time I will come in. First impression at it's finest.Kent it was at the frankenmuth location
Austin Wines: Love my time here every time I visit!I haven’t been able to make it by recently because of COVID19.After stopping in on a whim this week I was pleased to find the staff taking all of the proper precautions to keep capacity enforced, traffic moving, and customers happy!I will be back soon!
