stephanie byrd: After having a few bad experiences at another facility with Titan, a previous dog I owned, I decided to groom him myself. I currently have 2 Keeshond dogs, Maive and Maverick. There is NO way I could groom them! I have only ever gotten them groomed here, and don’t plan on going anywhere else! Why would I? They ask me what I want for them. They follow through with the directions I give. They do it with a smile on their face. The best part is they do a beautiful job!

Ryan Ross: Don’t take your dogs here! Please!We took our dog here two years ago for my sons open house - everything was fine. Oscar (my dog) was nervous and anxious, but nothing concerning. Fast forward to present, we take him there for 6 days due to painters in the house. I call regularly just checking in on him, seeing how he’s doing. They tell me he’s fine, “just chilling”. Day 4 - call to check in. I ask if he’s eaten since he hadn’t been eating at home in the evening. The woman responds with “did you bring him food?”. Mind you, I hadn’t been asked many questions at all when we enrolled him this time, such as any allergies, or personality questions about what sort of dogs he interacts with. Nor had I been asked to bring food for him. My jaw dropped when she said this to me. My dog hadn’t eaten in four days, and no one had mentioned ANYTHING. No comment on “we noticed you hadn’t brought food, friendly reminder to do so in case he’s a little hungry during the day”. NOTHING!I’m beyond upset and just downright irate. I tell this woman that they should have been brought this to my attention, why didn’t anyone say anything, etc. and of course much more conversation, and she’s laughing in the background. I ask if this is funny, her response “it’s how I deal with conflict”. OMG! Maybe you’re not cut out for customer service then.Next manager calls me an hour later to (hopefully) diffuse the situation. NOT AT ALL! He tells me it’s customary to not ask questions, you know, since I got the info two years ago! Tells me they don’t feed the dogs their own food due to possible allergies, which I understand, however, ASK ME TO BRING FOOD! I’m absolutely appalled and beside myself. I’ve never been so insulted. Made me feel like I was a bad dog parent for not bringing food. In the end, we were fired as customers! Not that we’d bring our animals here again, but the audacity of these people is astounding!Please don’t bring your animals here unless you KNOW all policies and are extremely comfortable. I shame myself for not asking more questions and being more aggressive in getting answers. But they took zero responsibility in their behavior and customer service. I want my money back to be honest - but let’s face it - that’s never going to happen. Save your money. Go to another doggy daycare - even if you have to drive to Metamora. They know what their doing and care for all those animals completely. And very thorough with their customers. It’s very refreshing.

Allison Campbell: I brought my pup here for a meet and greet and he stayed there for daycare for 7 hours. We were in a bit of a time crunch, so unfortunately I was unable to come between the hours of 1pm and 2pm to tour the facilities due to work- so unfortunately I never saw the entire place. I think some dogs definitely enjoy this atmosphere, but my pup was too stressed out. I could tell by his behavior during drop off, pick up, and the 2 days following his 7 hour daycare day. He also smelled strongly like pee both times when I brought him home and he needed a bath. I understand he will get a little dirty while playing, but I can't bathe him once a week since it's bad for his skin and coat. Personally, I would have preferred smaller playgroups with more attendants. Playgroups have anywhere from 15-30 dogs, with I think only 1 or 2 attendants. I also would prefer a camera so that we can all be sure our pups are doing well, since we know them and their behavior best. I think Four Paws is probably great for some dogs, but it didn't seem like the right fit for our guy.

Cathy Bouford: NEVER AGAIN WILL WE TAKE OUR DOGS TO THIS RESORT!!!!!!! I BEG OF YOU TO READ THIS AND PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE!!!!!! This was the first time boarding our dogs so we understand it can be stressful, but when I picked them up on Thursday this past week, I was shocked to learn that my dogs were not fed on Wednesday evening per Kristina at Four Paws resort telling me that they didn't feed my dogs Wednesday night as there was a "little" food left in the bowl from the morning. I have 2 medium size dogs that graze and we wrote out specific instructions as to their eating and even on the paper we stated they graze & its very obvious they never read it. I saw that this was true as when I got home Thursday at noon, I put down some food and water they both scarfed the food & drank 2 bowls of water. Apparently they didn't eat for over 24 hours. Then was shocked to learn that Kona had diarrea since Wednesday & they never told us. Called back & spoke with Kristina, she confirmed they found diarrea in the Kennel in the morning but never called us to tell us what they were going to do or that she had this going on. Jax our other dog at this point was not sick. Kona got worse through the day on Thursday into Friday night & had to take her to the Animal Emergency Hospital on Friday morning as she couldn't walk or stand due to pain from going so much. $500 later they said they are not sure if it was a virus that caused this but she has gastroenteritis. Had to nurse her to health on Friday & Saturday. Now it's Saturday morning and Jax started vomiting and had diarrea. I called the resort back again & talked to Sam (manager) just to inform her they may have a flu going around the Kennel. She said no that my dogs were just stressed out. I told her they have been home now 3 days, they are not stressed. She was very defensive & had a cocky attitude towards me stating they haven't had other complaints and my dogs were just stressed out. I was calling to inform her, being nice to let them know if they should receive any complaints to be aware of what we were going through. Sam didn't even apologize, no empathy towards us, NOTHING!!!!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!! This stay costed us $773 and SAM didn't even care!!!! TERRIBLE RESORT!!! THANK GOD I PICKED UP MY DOGS UP A FEW DAYS EARLIER CAUSE KONA COULD HAVE BEEN DEAD BY FRIDAY MORNING AS THEY ALL LEAVE AT 8:30 AT NIGHT AND SHE GOT WORSE DURING THE NIGHT FROM THURSDAY TO FRIDAY MORNING. I'M TELLING YOU NOW, DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS TO THIS RESORT!!!!!!!!!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE! I KEPT TELLING MY COUSIN I DON'T HAVE A GOOD FEELING RIGHT NOW, I HAD A REALLY BAD GUT FEELING ALL WEEK AS SOMETHING WASN'T RIGHT AND LOOK HOW RIGHT I WAS!!!!! I BEG WHO EVER READS THIS PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE.

Philip Strange: I brought my dog here and after we were done the lady told me shes not even a groomer and the groomer is on vacation and couldn't get his nails done(he's a great dane, so you should have known if you couldn't do it). Only about 3 were barely cut and 2 were bleeding! It also looked like he wasn't even bathed as his coat was still hairy and fu of dandruff. $60 wasted, I even tipped her! When I had to take my dog somewhere else the following week, the nice man that handled my dog very well, when I told him what happened he laughed and told me I don't even need to tell him where!

Ian Hart: Would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. My dog came home with elbow sores and I couldn’t get a clear reason as to what happened. I left her with toys and treats and they were not used whatsoever. Just as full as when I left them.I’d give another half a star because I had a 6:30 arrival back into town and they stayed open past their hours so I could pick her up. But 2 stars is too generous.

Greg Fiedler: I made a 9:00am appointment to have my cat groomed. When I arrived there was no one at the counter. A sign read: "I will be back in a few minutes, if it is longer than that call this number...." After 5 minutes, the clerk came in and asked: "why didn't you call the number?" I said, "I just got here a few minutes ago." After 5 minutes passed she informed me that the groomer was running late. Then I heard her on the phone telling someone to get the groomer up out of bed. I asked her if it was going to be awhile and she said yes. I informed her that I could not wait any longer. She asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment. I said no. I would not trust my precious kitty to a place so poorly run.
