Jan McLeod: If I could give ZERO stars, I would!Mr. Andoni was hired on my case to file a Show Cause in May 2021. I gave him a retainer, and also additional payments. He was supposed to file an additional motion in October 2021, was paid $500 to do so, never filed and I requested a refund. 2 months later, he told me he sent the money to another client and had to get that money back before he could send my refund. Requested statements of how the money that I paid him was allocated, and never received the information. I still have not received my money back.Once the final court date and paperwork was completed in May 2022, I was awarded money in attorney fees. The other party sent the check to Mr. Andoni within in 3 days of the final order, who cashed the check, never sent me the money, and when I inquired about not receiving the money from the other party, he told me that he could file an additional Show Cause (for more $ of course) to find out why the order wasn't followed (knowing all along that he had already received the money!)He is VERY poor at communication; returning phone calls or emails RARELY happens, if at all. He is NEVER prepared when it is time for court... always a last minute conversation not remembering what he should present for your case.Please consider another attorney before being a victim of Mr. Andoni.After doing some research, anyone who has been scammed by Mr. Andoni can do 2 things; File a formal grievance with the Attorney Grievance Commission for attorney misconduct and the Client Protection Fund for unearned fees resulting in the loss of money, property, or other things of value.

Brittny Giles: Every complaint I seen, are what happened to me. I knew Danny personally so I never looked up his reviews, until he didn’t show for court. He don’t respond , he missed my court days, all my original documents I sent are gone. It’s like all emails erase themselves or something. Medha Gandhi: If I could give less than one star, I would. Dan was an absolute waste of time and money. He did no work. He refused to answer phone calls or text messages. His representation was beyond negligent. In fact, we found out he made things WORSE, all while claiming he was taking action. In an issue over parenting time that has been wrongly withheld, he never presented make-up offers, or anything at all. He failed to give us interrogatories from the opposing side, TWICE. He then failed to turn our answers in on time. Thankfully, we had time stamps on everything we submitted.We have compiled recorded phone calls where he promised actions that were never taken, and he was often slurring his speech, leading us to wonder if he was under the influence of medication or something worse. He even said he'd be getting a recording of a proceeding to prove that we were wrong about what was said (because once again, he dropped the ball) , and we never heard back. He simply vanished. We reached out numerous times and got no reply. I could go on forever.We’ve talked to former clients of his who had similar experiences, so if anyone else would like to get together and discuss next steps, please reach out. And make sure to tell everyone you know NOT to work with Dan Andoni.

Never presented any of my documents of proof to the court, never subpoenaed any of my witnesses which included mandated reporters of the state whom witnessed first hand of my child's abuse from his father. Didn't even show up for court for a motion. Like everyone else says, he talks a big game and then cashes checks and does absolutely zero work. Never sent itemized bills. He sent one one time because I refused to send anymore money without one, his email was snarky and sarcastic about having to even spend time drafting one when he could be working on my case... My son is now in the hands of his abuser. Now I have to fight even harder and spend more money to help fix this. He is a con artist. Only work he puts in is to call you for more money near the trial date when you are at your mercy.

Ken Ross: Worst lawyer I've ever been involved with. Ryan Decker got my hopes up, took my money, then talked me into paying for my ex-wife's lawyer as well as his fees. As soon as I agreed to this set up Ryan and her lawyer became best friends and what I thought was going to be a one time payment (admittedly the fault of my own ignorance) was now set in stone for the rest of the trial. Every billable hour on both sides was now my responsibility. They kept pushing things off for a year while racking up the fees. After I finally ran out of money he suddenly advised that I settle and give her the custody she wanted. Now my son lives a staggering 21 hour drive away from me and I get to see him on Christmas, spring break and summer. Don't waste your money. Hiring Ryan was without question, the worst decision of my life! Don't make the same mistake I did please.

Steve Young: Terry is not a good attorney at all. Very unorganized and unprofessional and his only interest is how much he can bill you. His office manager (his wife) is rude, money hungry, untrustworthy, a liar and thinks she’s a lawyer when she gives legal advice. Terry would be better served if he was the greeter at the local Walmart. To sit in the office and listen to his wife they are millionaires and live like kings. She can’t stop talking about the “lake house” that ended up being a trailer parked on a manmade lake in Durand Mi. It’s a far cry from a “lake house”. The cold hard facts are they will say or do whatever is necessary to get money from you or make money off you. You have so many other choices for attorneys in the area but Terry Bankert should be towards the bottom of your list. If you think he’s going to fight for you or have your back then your going to get a wake up call if you hire him. Let me be clear, the lack of him doing his job won’t reflect on his billing. I truly believe his wife sits around and tries to figure out what she can add to the clients invoices before she goes home for the day.

Dominique Neverdusky: Terrible experience ended up doing court on my phone in person with this man because he didn't know what building to go to then he found out that it was a zoom meeting (after I already took off from work) then he couldn't even figure out how to sign into his own computer. I found out most of my information through the aposing party. Knew financial situation support was issued for an amount I couldn't afford, literally bumped my elbow saying" that's a good deal, take that agree to it." When I asked what I could do to get it lowered or what my options his paralegal just simple said "PAY YOUR CHILD SUPPORT" Then (keep in mind whole process took 8 months) he demanded that I pay in full the entire balance 2 weeks before court. Not once did I receive any bills to pay durring process they blame Covid. Never went over case, never checked in to see what I wanted. Totally got screwed over. Oh and when I tried to represent myself and attend the court case on my own he intentionally gave me the wrong time so now I still have yet to know what happened. Seems like an okay person but wouldn't recommend using him as attorney. If I get suied over this review whatever, attorney shouldn't be get away with shady practices.

Ryan Griffin: Terry's representation in trial was so pathetic that I have no choice but to conclude he either is so grossly incompetent that it's incredible he graduated law school, or he put in such a lack of effort that his moral character is nonexistent. His Job was to VIGOROUSLY fight for me. The trial we had lasted less than 5 minutes and he only asked two questions while cross examining. If you want to hire terry and you think it's going to take a trial, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Never talked to the attorney himself except when I retained .Only to office lady , who would give legal advice.We settled and didn’t go to trial but was still charged for it and tried to sue me afterwards for 1100.00 he judge wasn’t having that, I payed 400 just to get out of there. They charge for even phone calls to the office . My cousin used him as well and has an even worse experience.

no. 7: By far the worst legal representation you could find. When it came time to go to court he appeared to drag his feet and didn't fight for the things that were discussed beforehand and then charged us for the case being dragged out as well as a hidden fee under the guise of a 'monthly service fee'(even though the services have all been ended) because we were unable to pay our balance at the time. If you are looking for the right lawyer, keep looking!

This wasn't the case, Mr Bankert or staff member always returned calls immediately. His prices are very reasonable and he is quite knowledgeable with various laws. MONYE ALSTON: I would like to first add that i went with Terry Bankert because his retainer was not as expensive as other lawyers in Genesee county.That was a horrible idea. It clearly was a reason for that u get what you pay for.Terry Bankert is absolutely the worst lawyer in flint.I would not recommend that he represent your pet turtle if you have one. He never knew what was going on with my case or what i had retained him for or the correct laws for that matter. His staff is very unprofessional mainly his wife. And they continued to ask for more and more money after not doing anything . I dont know if they are in financial troubles or what.I had to retain another lawyer to actually represent me.Too bad i have to give one star because this firm is definitely not worth one star. I am not a mad citizen writing a review because my case was not won. I am truly writing this review in hopes to save another person from going through what my family and i endured mentally and finacially from Mr. Bankert.
