Applewood Estate: what do users think?
jennifer dunn: Fascinating family, beautiful property. Bring something for the kids to go in the yard.
Terri Lowe: What a Great day my friend and I had at Apple wood! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We did the flower tour first, then we went in and did the house. You can't take pictures inside I have no problem with that cuz you can see more. The house is gorgeous! Ladies if you're looking for something for your kids to do you can pack a picnic lunch take a blanket and sit in the gardens while you eat. I highly recommend
Tricia O'Connell: What a fantastic gem right in the middle of the city. Beautiful, restful place to relax and enjoy the perfectly maintained gardens, walking paths and amazing trees! I'd love to know how many different kinds of trees are on the Estate. Looking forward to touring the house when it opens again after COVID. This is my new favorite place! So glad it is being preserved for everyone to enjoy and learn from.Absolutely, use any part of my review you would like. I want everyone to know about Applewood Estate.
Jeff Stancroff: This is a great destination if your in the Flint area. The grounds are amazing, the home tour is very interesting and if you take the home tour or talk to the volunteers you will learn just how big a part the Mott's played in Genesee County and its also free!
Michelle Plunkett: beautiful grounds to explore. Spending time at the estate allows one to shake off the stresses of today while taking a step back in time. If you're looking for a little relaxation time. This is a good choice
Cindy Warber: This place is best to visit in the summer, so you can see all the blooming gardens. However, you can only see the most beautifull sugar maple tree in the fall. This is one big tree.
Dann Vessell: A beautiful home and estate. Nice place to go see if you're in the Flint area.
Kevin Chatfield: Always a lovely time
Lauren Cox: Always a great community event
samantha dubay: Only open on Sundays 1-4 (when we went in Oct anyhow) The volunteers were very informative and chipper. It was FREE to go into the first floor only. No photos allowed inside. Walking the gardens was nice too. Near the longway planetarium so you can park there and walk up. Mr. Mott was one of the co founders of General Motors.
Sharon House: Applewood is beautiful!! The grounds are gorgeous. I was only there for awhile and didn't get to see it all. I am definitely going back!!
Mitch: Applewood Estates is a beautiful little gem tucked away in the heart of Flint. Contributions of their resources produced by only a handful of employees and some wonderful volunteers go straight to homes and shelters within the city. But the gardens are the real prize for visitors free viewing pleasure. Stunning landscapes with apple orchards, rose gardens, herb gardens and so much more.A great way to spend a couple hours with family or on your own.
Blerdwords: Beautiful place
Somaia Razzak: I have been to story time with my baby on Fridays and we attended the harvest festival. The place is gorgeous and the staff/ volunteers are so friendly and welcoming. Lots of cute activities, performances, and tasting stations for kids. Totally recommend.
Dan Edinger: Lovely grounds, staff and hospitality. It was our first visit, but definitely won't be our last.
Matthew Charles: Loved the Fall harvest dayToday October 1st , 2022Great timeThank you all at Apple wood,And C.S. Mott
BullOnWallSt: Always a pleasure being here.
Sue Tvardos: Beautiful gardens fountain nicely preserved history of the Mott family.
Robert Howard: Great place to visit. The Home of C.S. and Ruth Mott. Lots of flowers and apple trees.
Annie Lang: Applewood Estate was the ideal destination to casually enjoy the spectacular gardens and beautiful estate vistas this historic site offers to the public for free. Applewood is a hidden gem located in the cultural district of Flint, Michigan and has been meticulously preserved and maintained by the Ruth Mott Foundation as a tribute to the legacy of Charles Stewart Mott and his many contributions to the Flint Community. The Applewood staff was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable when it came to identifying the more unusual botanicals on display. Though it only takes a few hours to tour the gardens, it's time well spent as you leisurely tour the apple orchard, numerous flowering gardens, visitor's center and historic brick barn, gatehouse, and chicken coop.
Sally Luke: We like to go on Fridays to Story Time. They read a book to the kids and they give the kids the same book to take home. They always have little activities to do after they read the story. After the story and activities we walk the grounds and check out all the flowers and find a shady spot for a picnic lunch or a snack. They do a taste of Applewood where you can try a product that has been grown on the estate .

George Gamache: Indoor market. Lots of local vendors. Very clean and outdoor patio on the second floor. Coffee was good!
Michael Woodworth: Steady Eddie's is the place to go for a quickly served food and it tastes amazing
Calvin Gilmore: Great place
Tobias Lerke: One of the gems in the city. Many vendors for groceries and eating. Beautiful and in a great location near downtown.
Amanda Kelly: Very clean, lots of options, and good prices.
Kristin James: Was looking for a new small adventure to embark on, and this place was amazing! Had such an interesting array of different items, local as well. I do wish the produce selection was more vast. We have yet to visit in the summer. There are many eating choices here with a lot of gluten free and vegan type options. The vendors are all extremely friendly and welcoming and seem more than happy to explain their trade. One of my favorite finds was the cheese shop that had 15year aged cheddar. The lady slicing my cheese was amazing, very efficient and on point with how much I wanted. We had a small lunch at Sweet Peaces. The lentil soup was served cold by accident, but upon bringing it to their attention, nice lady there not only warmed it back up, but refilled it back up for us! (I had eaten some because I didn't want to bring it up to begin with) All in all, give this unique market a go! A very pleasant experience!
Cindy Ferrell: Awesome! Love AT treats!
Dan Slater: My first time at the farmers market in flint. It’s amazing and I spent a ton of money and so did my sis. They have so many amazing things people make handmade and this owl was a picture that I want to go back and buy in the art store. Definitely going to be going here a lot more now that I know this place has so many good things from local people! Thank you Flint Farmers Market.
Danielle Ballard: Awesome experience and atmosphere
Linda Doran: Very nice, first time there. Great smells hit your nose while there. I'll come back when I have more time and can really look around.
Alexis Lewis: I was waiting for the market to open and for the Beirut Market to open! My chicken fatoosh salad sandwich was amazing!!!!
Flo Gjerstad: Very crowded and hard to find parking. Davison Farmers Market is far superior even though it is a little smaller.
Shirley Franklin: Iove the hustle and bustle of people and vendors and all the food and crafts.
Allison Jaloszynski: Lots of great vendors!! Friendly people. (:
