Claudia Wight: All businesses need to make money in order to stay afloat, unfortunately it appears that this is the only focus for Kindred. Because my insurance wouldn't cover home health care and I was private pay they refused to help. I then found an agency that allows for private pay and asked that they fax my orders to the new organization (since the doctor's office was closed) and Kindred refused to do that as well. Never have I been so disappointed in a business; even if you don't at least you could act like you care.

I've been lucky enough to work with them in the assisted living setting in both Grand Rapids and Lansing. Jason is a fantastic resource for all families and care providers. His dedication and diligence to ensuring everything goes smoothly is unmatched. Kim Brinks, psych nurse is as top tier as it gets. He is able to help so many people, support families and ensure everyone's quality of life is the best possible. Colleen, their hospice nurse goes above and beyond. I would want no other nurse caring for my parents at that end stage of life. Additionally, she is always willing to come and train and improve everyone's knowledge and familiarity of hospice. She is true advocate with a heart of gold. Now for the entire PT team, they work so well with residents, work through resistance and are a huge help to everyone they assist.

Our nurse Holly was wonderful - she was always there for us and we felt confident in our care with all her support and guidance. I would have not made it through this process without her.Traci our aide was also very sensitive, thorough and compassionate.Another nurse Sam always reached out to us and available to help whenever we needed it.Everytime anyone from the Care Team left our home I felt mentally so much better !!.I would definitely recommend 100% The Care Team for any home health needs !!!!

Tierney Ohly: May I offer only words of thanks to The Care Team for their kind and attentive service to me and my husband prior to his passing. This team was the most efficient group of individuals that we had ever experienced in the medical world. Less than 24 hours after an emergency situation, when we both realized that I needed help as my husband's caregiver, a representative of The Care Team came to our door ready to serve. I think it may have been within a twelve hour time period. Amy (RN, oncology) kindly reviewed medications, personal needs, hospice services and assured me an RN would be available to train me in areas where I was deficient. When RN Kristin arrived, she did exactly that. She asked me what would be best for me. Kristin carefully explained various medications, proper care of my husbands skin, positions to prevent fluid collection or bed sores. She did not insist upon services I did not need; neither did she provide unsolicited advice nor promote options that would interrupt our quiet routine. My husband and I received mail from 2 sweet young ladies (volunteer - strangers or angels unaware) who assured us that we were in their prayers. Everything was absolutely perfect! The calming confidence of The Care Team Hospice was refreshing and yes, caring. I just received a call from a member of the bereavement team named "Joy" who reassured me that she would check in and continue to provide support. Truly this individual attention is amazing -- I look forward to receiving a newsletter. Gratefully, I also acknowledge Brian McBride and Tara for their understanding and devotion to those in need.

Benita Seale: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!They are inexperienced, rude, and insensitive to the patient’s needs. I asked for a company that could offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy for my elderly father. They pretended to be able to offer these services, but could not. When we asked that they come to my parents home at the time they said they would, they just disregarded our request and went when they wanted to. They would arrive when none of my siblings were there. We specifically told them that we don’t allow anyone in our parents home unless we are there. We discontinued services and I vowed to make this comment to help others to NEVER use this company!

Kim Miller: Please do not put your loved one in Mid Michigan Hospice. My mother who was deemed incompetent was coerced into signing herself into this hospice. First of all, that should have never happened. Second of all, the person who owns the facility my mother was in was the very same owner of Mid Michigan Hospice! Asif Zeeshan. This is a huge conflict of interest. If you choose this route, be prepared for your loved one to be neglected and on a road to death much quicker than you expect! They will not release medical records. Apparently, they need time to doctor them up before releasing. If you have complaints about this company please call the state and make your complaints. These owners need to be held accountable for what they are doing to the elderly!

Kevin Kniebbe: My review is on the hiring process and H.R. dept. I applied and got an interview. 20 min drive there and H.R. woman gave me a 4 minute interview saying she can't do anything without the owner present. I would've assumed the owner should have been there. H.R. said she will call me the next Wed either way if I moved on in the process or not. I didn't receive a call so I started calling back on Thursday. 6 days later and 2 calls a day each time someone saying they will take a message for H.R. and have her get back with me nothing is being said. Finally the receptionist says H R. Will email me. Now I didn't move on in the hiring process but I would've liked to know before I wasted time on this place. I seems like this is a horrible place for communication to work for and recieve care according to other reviews.

Joyce Lee: Mistakenly had Mid-Michigan Hospice provide care for people that I love and care about. Hospice aides were careless and would spend their time when they were supposed to care for the hospice patient, ranting about how much they dislike the company and their job and how they're going to quit the next day. Had many conversations with the owner to vocalize my concerns and to make sure that I am advocating on behalf of my hospice patient. I was almost always met with defensive responses and overall lack of concern for the health and wellbeing of my patient. Owner is incredibly unprofessional and discharged the patient from hospice without notifying the family in the middle of a scary patient crisis when we needed a hospice nurse to come. Truthfully wish I could give zero stars and give anyone that is considering this hospice, a huge warning. I have always thought that hospice companies have the most important job to have the chance to walk an individual and their families through the hardest chapter of their lives filled with comfort, dignity, respect, and great integrity. If you are looking for a hospice company to live those values out for you through their hospice services, for the love of God, look elsewhere. Please.

Lisa Scott: THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY TO HAVE CARE FOR YOUR CHILDREN. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING IN HOW THEY HANDLE THE FUNDS THAT THESE FAMILIES ARE PROVIDING THERE LOVED ONES FOR A PLACE OF CARE. ESPECIALLY THE HOME IN MONTROSE. IT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN BY THE STATE. SEEMS LIKE THE NEW OWNERS (YOU GUYS ARE ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY I FEEL AWFUL FOR THE EMPLOYEES THAT CARE.

Cheryl Boudreau: I have a mother who has bladder issues and burns 24/7 and has a colostomy and chronic pain. Was in and out of the hospitals due to infections. Im a caregiver for her and do my best or try. I thought this service would be different! Again another service if they cant get you to sign up with hospice they discharge you from their service. The nurse melanie yes has many clients and due to this Monday my mom and I was resting and she had three clients cancel I missed her call. She thinks she can come out day of snd then turn it in that im not being compliance? Her dr recommended UofM hospital last friday. The EMT'S said too far to drive that day. Called again Sunday for my mom was willing to go. I wanted to send her locally. For did not know if she was septic.. They did t keep her gor her dr told them not too and needed to go to U of M? I called this ofc today and was told that everytime a Pt( physical therapist) etc came out she was too sick to do anything n work with them. Not tru. I pleaded with BRET PT to work with her. She needed that engagement. My mom was sick but, willing to work with him. He said he could've due to liability. Last time he did get her up so he could check her oxygen. The Occupational therapy Dana was nice but, kept her coat on all during being here. I felt rushed for my mom. Just overall bad service just because they couldn't come out day they called within a few min. I was cordial and always followed up. They are stating i didn't. That is a lie. The staff is lying to their superiors. If you have a real sick family member please dont have this service. They have no compassion and just want to put you in hospice care. If you don't they make it look like your not following up! This is all wrong! The selfishness and lying is the worst! Seems many dont cate when you are really sick. I was hoping fir engagement and some PT for my mom. Not ready to put her in hospice right now. I did get upset when I talked to the director. It was all lies. Made me mad! My poor mom is real sick. We needed a health care to check on her. Shame on them. I hope they lose their license soon. The workers are liers and worthless. They just fill their time doing hardly nothing. Really its for the better they dont come back! If I worked there I would be ashamed of myself. If you are sick seems like you get disrespect! My mom snd I have been shunned much due to her pain. If noone sees the pain they don't understand. Just awful!

Judy Taylor: We were very happy with the care Ann his nurse gave my husband. She gave him his life back for three weeks, before his passing. She was very caring and went out of her way to help us. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Sandra Reed: PT came out on Friday did my evaluation. Stated someone would get a hold of me the first of next week. Tuesday came no call so I called office. Lady answered phone and said someone would get a hold of me. It is now Thursday and I still have not heard back. So I called my doctors office and switched agency’s due to lack of concern. If you need OT would not use this agency. They do not follow up.

They were supposed to call and be at his home on the 4th . They never called OR came . Thank God he has a capable and dedicated family . This could have been life threatening for someone else.

Brenda Donahue: Tiffany Cook was the best. She was more than mom's nurse, she became a friend. The nurses on call were wonderful as well. Many times I had to call them in the dark of night to come to our house. They get an A++ in my book.

Nancy Kennedy: Heart to Heart was the best thing for my mom. Ellen Hopper,RN , was our angel as she cared for mom so compassionately and lovingly before mom passed away.I would reccommend this company to anyone.!!

Robert Cove: God's Angels - As life comes to an end, compassionate support for patients and families are critical. For this, God sends angels in the form of hospice caregivers. Marylynn from American Home Health Care was our angel. Her and the team at AHHC provided comfort and guidance to my uncle and my family throughout this difficult time. Their love, understanding and compassion provided much needed knowledge and comfort to my uncle and our family. Whenever we needed support, had questions, or just needed a hand to hold, our Angel from AHHC was there to provide that. No one wants to go through a loved one's end of life alone. In our case, Marylynn and AHHC stepped in to see to those needs - we didn't have to do this alone! Thank you so much for your friendship, guidance and support!

Nick, Kizzy social worker,Cougars R.N, Vicky R.N, Brittany Cena,Sherri massage therapist and the special angels that also helped along the way, pharmacy delivered the same day. This team went above and beyond caring. They look out for the 24/7 caregiver also. Also medical questions and mental support! Thank you and God bless each and everyone who was there for George Lloyd you made his last days comfortable and he really liked each one of ya! That’s what counted. Thx just doesn’t seem enough also the calls of concern after, that was kind. Advacare deserves a shout out for being over ASAP with everything. God bless you all !

Shannon Stoll: Could never say enough nice things about this company. Stacey is fast and makes a horrible process virtually headache free. The nursing staff and social workers are some of the best around. I have had to use this company on 3 seperate occasions and it has never been anything short of amazing.

Just Here: They helped soothe a sad situation with my mother being on hospice. My mother lasted 18 months past her intial 30 day's. I believe it was because of my dedication to her, and the awesome assistance that Kim, Stacey,Keisha, Kash and Danielle provided. I am forever grateful. If you are serious and compassionate about your loved one's health............This is your go to place.

Chicago Junkie: Disregard my username. A tech friend set that up to see who was sending/selling my email and/or following me online. I'm not tech savvy enough to switch it over to my regular name.Anyway- these folks are great!!! They've made life much easier for my dad. It's tough to watch him decline. They've been a big help. Melissa, Peyonca, Brenna, and Brittany have all at one time or another, been saviors for my dad. From pain management to general care to respecting that he wanted to pass away at home- they've all been fantastic.They just know so many little things that I hadn't considered when it comes to his comfort. From big things like a hospital bed in the home, to little things like this sponge thingee at the end of a small handle so he can drink some water- they have it covered.There's 1001 other things I could mention, but this post would become a book.
