George Taylor: Local 651 was the cash flow for many years for the UAW international union. Now the AC Spark plug Division is a parking lot. Shipped to China. This is a crime against all the hard working employees that at one time was over 17,000 employees. We all had Hope's our children and grandchildren would be working there some day. I feel betrayed by GM and the UAW by letting GM close and destroy our great plant. We were the source of income for GM when cars were not selling as we built replacement parts and kept GM solvent through the hard times. I worked in the insulator and we profected the automated machines that built the insulator. One day they came down a took movies of how we set the machines up and gave them the keys to move our plant to Mexico and then China bought the trade secrets and now build AC Spark plugs. I personally will never buy a Chinese spark plug again. Do I seem bitter. Dam right. Good bye my brothers. Yesterday I had the pleasure of walking the picket line with my Grandson in Swarkcreek Michigan

David Waun: They are in bed with management. Letting them get away with violating the contract and allow management to harass hourly employees over the wearing of useless masks. The UAW is a good ol' boy network that takes care of their own and lets their members get destroyed by the despicable treatment of hourly employees by a maniacal salary attitude. Management creates a hostile work environment that goes directly against corporate policy and the union does nothing.
