Flint Station: what do users think?
Roman rat: "Blue water" very funny, amtrak
Ray Bushman: At the train station in Flint Michigan during the snow storm and the doors are lock. Tried calling the phones been busy for sometime. Train just arrived 7:31 am. Just in time to board.
ALLISON CHASE: I come here twice a month. The attendant guy, he thinks he's funny. He insults and lectures people on Covid and masks like he is Covid Jesus, its a personal choice. And makes insulting references to college kids in East Lansing, someone has some pent up emotion. Don't listen to a word he says. Just keep moving.
Test Pilot: Do not go here, turn around and get right back on the train. Arrived 10:30 PM, was told Uber and Lyft won't pick up after dark, this turned out to be true. Station guard locked me out in 1⁰ weather to go pick up his food. I am from California so this was particularly shocking weather. A police car drove up, as I approached for assistance, it drove away. Eventually I was picked up by a drunk taxi driver, no seat belt attachment, and we blew through a stop sign on the way to the hotel. It was an emergency trip to see my sister in Bay City, otherwise I would not have overnighted in Flint. The only daily train from Chicago arrives at that time, good luck to anyone attempting this.
Erica Williams: I want to write this to possibly save someone from making the mistake I did! I came in from Chicago on the 10:08pm train. I am not from the area and was here for work. There were ZERO running ubers or lyfts available to take me to my destination downtown and no taxi services running at 10:00pm. There was a nice a nice security guard who was helping me but it was a very scary experience of feeling stranded in a very unsafe area possibly overnight. After an hour I was able to find an off duty car service to take me 3 miles for $100. I was happy to pay that price at that point but obviously unfortunate. This is apparently common. If you come in on a train after 7:00PM have a ride pre-arranged!
Lloyd Foster: Very Informative Customer Service Care and Descent Prices on the Beverage Machine. Children and Family friendly
Duke Madden: Friendly & Clean!!
warlike fourteen: It's freezing outside yet no one will let me in. There's passengers inside yet no one will let me in. I called Amtrak they tell me the station Im at doesnt open till 6 am. However they cannot explain why are there passengers inside at 5 a.m. and why am I outside still freezing. I guess the way they treat people in Flint, MI is the same across the board. See photo of my luggage, with the back drop of warm cozy passengers inside, as I stand outside and freeze to death outside.
Aarron Van Buren: Didn't use the station as I waited in my car but at least it's heated and roomy in the winter which is invaluable.
Jonathan Fischer: It's ok
Anne E. S.: Lots of searing, roomy seats , leg room, so much nicer, more leisurely than air. No searches, no sitting on runway, nice scenery.
cassandra johnson: Small station but decent. Never had a problem with leaving the car in the lot. Lit up pretty well.
Greg Wilson: Very convenient. About a block from the exit off I-69. Train was on time. If you have boarding pass on your phone, just pull up, walk in and get on the train. Bags were no problem. Waiting room was clean. There was an attendant at the desk if you have questions. There is a vending machine if you need a snack. Parking was well lit.
JUSTIN SCANLON: Better than I expected. Active security at the gate for a late night passenger pick up. Indoor waiting area clean and comfortable. Signage could be better, especially for Amtrak. It's all one area for bus and train.Very easy to miss at night, especially if you are southbound on Dort. But on the northbound end, not so bad. It is very close to I69 ramps. Watch out for that.
Mark Christian (MC): Perfect place to catch a train to get the hell out of flint.
DMR Soccer: Seats weren't bad, no arm rests, chargers available... it was very cold and the wi-fi was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Very annoying and aggravating.
Cheryl D. McNeal: Indian Trails buses r really nice and most of the drivers aren't bad either
Ramona Brown: Amtrak, the Bluewater train to Chicago is a great ride. I use it everytime i go back home. Thank you Amtrak for a great experience. I will use you again soon.
Scott Kulawiak: Trip to New Buffalo was good they had a car and half reserved for our party of 86. On the way home 3-26-2017 trip was horrible we had 30 people standing most of them were senior citizens . Our whole group was spread out through the entire train and the conductor said there won't be no seats until Kalamazoo. First and last trip on the train they didn't even help people find seats.
Chucky Chuck: It's not a bad station. The stations can't do anything about a train being late. So you that give bad reviews because a train is late...cmon man! The vending machines are always full, staff is pretty lenient about large or over weight luggage...just don't drink the water!
Albert Isaac: Staff is helpful. Lobby is often crowded. Wish the trains could maintain a better schedule. I've never left or arrived on time.
