Bam: This place did not do any good for me. The staff was incompetent it also took a long time for anything to get done most facilitys are willing to establish a connection between patient and clientel. as of which they did not do. This place deserves barely a star for effort. I also had them watch my belongings and they broke an expensive light in which they did not replace. I was not medicated for the few weeks that I was here. I dont recommend this.

I think they were trying a different approach to getting through to patients. (Which sounds good but rude is still rude.) Most cared for how you ate and felt. Some didn't at all they were just there to do their job. They were just too "Professional" for kids I feel.

Kristen Kraft: I like the services I get but it's too hard to get ahold of my doctor. one of my new scripts requires a prior authorization and the phone number for ghs is just a map of confusion, being transferred from one line to another only to inevitably end up at a vm machine that will call you back in 48hrs. meanwhile I'd like to begin using my new medication but I can't.edit to add that I have discussed this manner with my Doctor and her and I have worked out a way to facilitate me reaching her at a better pace so I appreciate her help with that. thank you.

Not only was an email and text sent for confirmation but also automated call. Someone who is chemically imbalanced has a hard time dealing with these things at the best of times. And we wonder why people don’t get proper help in the end 😔

Roger Johnsen: Blatant incompetence and service denial. I have been involved with GHS for a short period of time (less than 3 months). I have been appalled by the misinformation I've received - granted the system is complex but receiving conflicting information makes it 10x worse. Multiple violations of MI Mental Health Code and I suggest anyone experiencing this contact an attorney for assistance. Service denials and the like seem to be common practice and you must fight to get the level of service required from them. They've denied medical care, and when private care was setup, refused to facilitate transfer or let my ward attend. They show no remorse when in violation of laws setup to protect individuals with disabilities and have been successfully sued on many occasions to correct these problems. The bottom line is money and they will seek to allocate as little as possible - actually wanting participants to fall out of the "system" for this very reason. Some useful resources for anyone caught-up with these all to common problems are:1.) Michigan Department of Health and Human Services2.) MDHHS - Office of Recipient Rights & GHS Office of Recipient Rights3.) Michigan Protection and Advocacy Services4.) Adult Protective Services5.) Michigan Mental Health CodeThere are laws on the books that protect disabled individuals and I can't comprehend the tragedy GHS perpetuates with respect to not fulfilling legal rights of disabled people.

David Waun: Horrible, the only place that one will need to seek therapy after receiving their 'therapy'. They still buy into masking and sitting six feet apart, all of which have been proven to be useless. They treat their patients as criminals rather than people needing help.

Jamie Beatty: This place is a joke. Dont go here. They will rip you off. I canceled 2 appointments and they said I didnt and charged me 150.00. I had no choice but to pay it or they were going to send it to collections. My therapist Diann also called in more than she showed up. Total joke.

Amanda: Absolutely terrible. My dad is deaf and scheduled appointments well in advance and always arrived to find that there was no interpreter scheduled. I made a complaint and was told someone would reach out and follow up after I provided resources for finding interpreters in Genesee County. No one ever called me back. My dads counselor was writing on a paper back and forth with my dad, they didn’t even try to get a video relay device set up on a laptop (bare minimum) how is that appropriate for anyone already struggling with their mental health. This is a huge violation of the ADA. Unacceptable. Don’t go here.

gypsy also: I am very pleased with my counselor, but don't think much of their billing. the stars are for the billing - my counselor would get 5 stars. I gave them my credit card number when I first became a client - DO NOT DO THAT! I did not know if I had a deductible. As it turned out I had no deductible and my insurance paid for every session. In early February - they charged my credit card for the session. I did not know about the charge until my credit card bill came a month later. On March 11 I was told that my money would be refunded. On April 1 I was told it was authorized March 24 and it would be refunded in 10 - 30 days. I was also told to contact my credit card company. The credit card company was told the refund had been authorized March 24 and turned over to corporate headquarters. On April 19 I again called the local office why was my money not refunded - I was told it was written up through headquarters that there are several steps to refund through headquarters and it would be 90 days before I got my refund. I asked for the name and number of headquarters. They would not give it to me. They made a mistake by billing me instead of my insurance which had paid my bills before and after that date and I have been trying since early march to get my money back. I am still waiting for my refund - it is going on 4 months since it was charged. Be smart - do not give them your credit card until you see that your insurance has not paid for the session. They have had my money for almost 4 months and still no refund.

Jesse Taylor: So I was in search for a new therapist since the one I've been seeing for 12years had made the decision to retire, I came across this clinic and read reviews and seen their rating and after reading what people said to have experienced with this clinic I made the decision to give them a call. I have yet to meet with a therapist yet so I cant say how they are but I can say the receptionist at the front desk was super friendly and very patient with me while I searched for my insurance card she answered all my questions and any concerns I had her name was Jennifer and i just wanted to give her a shout out for the experience i had with her you did a awesome job!

Called three different times and talked to three different people, all of whom took my name and number and were supposed to call me back. Never heard from any of them. Shouldn’t be this difficult to even make an appointment.

Sarah Mackey: Our family sees two different therapists here, for over 3 years; they are awesome and the only reason we continue to come here. The office staff is completely and utterly incompetent. Literally every encounter we have with them, they mess something up, and are sometimes fairly rude. I wish our therapists would leave.

The therapist I seen was very nice and comforting but did not remember what we had discussed during our last session. I always had to catch her up and re explain everything. Jessica Gootee: My experience with Cheri as a therapist was absolutely TERRIBLE. She made me need even more PROPER therapy with someone else. Cheri continued to talk about herself for 45 of my 60min session. Everything about herself from her daughter in the peace core,where she bought her clothes, how they hand make clothes there,to her book on Men's sexual abuse. WHICH I CANNOT RELATE TO & I TOLD HER THIS 5 TIMES. She then disregarded my request to change topics & continued telling me how she got the book in Canada & shes the only one with it ect. 😣😣Complete waste of my time & money. I'm a cash paying patient & she knew that. Even used some of our time to go up front & ask about possible insurance coverage with my significant other. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH CHERI. ( she ALSO thought it was a good idea to tell a victim of domestic violence to pick better men ) Sorry lady but no man puts " I enjoy beating women " on their boyfriend application & something like this has never happened to me before so stop treating patients like their idiots. It's very hurtful.

He is so rude and absolutely ignorant.I came in and he kept asking "so what do you want me to do?"There are a few other things he said that were absolute factually inaccurate but I cant share unfortunately.But the staff at the grand blanc and the flint location are awesome! for therapy I absolutely recommend them!

chiefwhitetail: Horrible place to receive treatment. They are money hungry. They are also incompetent when it comes to insurance charges. You have to see a therapist if you need Psychological help. Which incurrs a lot of bills and if need medication cost on top of that. Dorothy is inconsiderate because if her appointment does not show up she looses money. When the patient can't pay becomes a problem with her. So consider that a conflict of Interest. I was told I wouldn't fill out a survey during my wait and wouldn't pay. I said nothing of the kind. It's horrible due to insurance rates and people still can't get help. Obamacare did nothing but increase my rates.

Jamie Lawrence: Don't use this place if you are serious about getting help. It's a joke. My therapist spent most of my time talking to me about other patients. If she was talking to me about them then she was talking to them about me.

synthonaplinth: The other reviews for this place are spot on. My 'therapist' was interested only as long as funding was available, she cut off all contact after there was no funding. The psychiatrist was INCREDIBLY rude and arrogant, he would not even recommend a medication. This is not a place to be if you value your mental health.

krystal roberts: The receptionists are rude and Dr. is a money hungry man and doesnt care about his patients. Got my script on Tuesday and they had to fax over paperwork to my insurance in order for me to pick it up, said that it was sent out Friday. Its now Monday and they are just now sending over my paperwork. Been without medication for a week now. Also the receptionists talk about the patients badly behind their back thinking we cant hear them. They always mess up my billing. And im billed for hour long sessions with the therapist which I only get to talk to for maybe a half hour. I will be looking for a new office.

K: After over a year here, I can’t recommend them anymore. My medication management follow up phone calls consist of the same thing every month “you sound better!”. That’s just my “on the phone voice”, and hearing it every other month when I’m updating that I’m actually feeling worse makes it apparent Dr Whyte doesn’t actually recall how I sounded.Unfortunately he also doesn’t seem to read his notes. I don’t have a complex medication regimen at all, but switched a single med twice. It was forgotten at follow up, no big deal… except he forgot at the next two follow ups as well and had to be reminded. Then I changed back as the side effects were bad, and he forgot that for two visits as well. His response to me experiencing bad side effects after three months was to up the dose to more than double, no explanation given as to why that would possibly help.I also do not recommend their psychological testing service- I was misquoted several times in my report- leaving out pieces that very much changed the meaning of what I said. For example, I said I feel like I can’t control my emotions when I’m frustrated due to my sensory processing issues. This was changed to “I feel out of control of my emotions”, and I was consequently diagnosed as bipolar, and having “mood swings without precipitating events”. A diagnosis later denied by two therapists and two doctors, three of which I saw for over a year and had plenty of time to figure that out.I was diagnosed autistic (correct) after a short several question survey, not the full ADOS examination, which they didn’t or don’t offer. Then told by Dr Williams that “it’s not bad enough to affect your daily life”. (incorrect and dismissive).While I never felt disrespected exactly, I began to notice more and more now I simply wasn’t being heard. I don’t expect every med check to be a therapy session, but they last on average five minutes, I checked my call history. At my last check-in, I lamented that I’m struggling terribly with something that isn’t being treated. There was a pause, and the response was, “well, stay on your stuff, ok? I’ll talk to you soon”.I’ve since found a provider who I feel 100% comfortable. Even guessed that I was misdiagnosed as bipolar without having shared that information verbally, through my report, or any inter-office communication. Because it’s unfortunately incredibly common to misinterpret patients sharing my symptoms and take them out of context.

Kim: I cannot say enough positive things about the staff to Dr. Whyte, at this family clinic. Dr. Whyte and the staff have been kind and attentive to all of my needs from day one. It’s just a relief to know that there are caring and compassionate health care professionals out there. I also want to mention, Donna, the therapist is absolutely wonderful!

Rebecca Fyock: I have Terry for my psychiatrist and Donna for my therapist. My gyno suggested them after I had my second baby and I struggled with postpartum depression and severe anxiety. Terry has worked with me and got me on the perfect meds to deal with my anxiety and depression, he’s quick and very easy to talk to! Donna has also been great to talk to!! Best therapist I’ve ever had. My husband has always been a little nervous about seeing a therapist and he absolutely loves her. She’s a great listener and gives really good advice! I will definitely keep going to Delta Family Clinic and I will suggest them to anyone in need of them!

charles jayson: Dr. Terry Whyte is an amazing doctor! I was nervous about moving, and having to find a new psychiatrist, and explaining everything all over again to someone new, but he listened to all of my concerns and continued my care. He actually suggested different instructions on what time to take my antidepressant and it has made a world of a difference! I recently found out I was pregnant, and was concerned about the anti-anxiety medicine I was on. Do not rely on Google! Call your doctor! Dr. Terry called me with in a few hours of leaving a message with the receptionist and told me to discontinue my Benzodiazepine, and that he would call me in something that will be safer for my baby. I am a stay at home mom, and it’s very convenient that after our first visit, he was willing to do phone call medicine reviews. Just read some of these reviews before making mine, and don’t really understand some of the negative ones, because I’ve had nothing but a great experience. Jewel Hohman: Some of the staff is really helpful but most of them are rude. My psychiatrist (Terry) is fine- although he definitely doesn't read his notes before talking with me. Unsure about the quality of the other psychiatrists/therapists. Their medication system is done through the phone and it is beyond annoying and not efficient AT ALL. For ADHD medication you have to call to get it refilled monthly (which is more about the laws around ADHD meds), but because their phone system is so ridiculous, it takes about 5 calls with them between two days to actually get it sent to the pharmacy. Every single time it interrupts my work day. Furthermore, I asked them to send my medication to one pharmacy and they sent it to a different one all across town... this happened twice. If you need medication, go somewhere else.

He kept it real with me and I think that’s a lot of these reviewers problem. He’s no BS and I personally appreciated that fact. I like them and am very hopeful for finally receiving some help here. Susan Henderson: I am in total agreement. I have been a long standing patient. The girl who answers the phone is a class A BULLY. She cant give a normal answer and should never be allowed to work with mental health patients ever. She is just a lowly receptionist, who thinks shes running the show and takes great pleasure in seeing people fail. As for Terry he is a joke and also a bully. No compassion or empathy for anyone. He doesn't take notes and cant remember what he says from one visit to the next. He is so quick to dismiss patients without getting his facts straight. Never been treated this badly in 60 years.

I left feeling worse than when I arrived and that's to the way Terry whyte talked down to me and disputed my diagnosis. I would rather go without help than return to this clinic. Grace Hocevar: I developed a fear of doctors after going here two times over a span of a few years. I felt like I was being interrogated, humiliated and talked to like a child. I left the visit both times hysterically crying because of the way I was talked to and the things that were said to me. I was referred here so I could be able to see one of my favorite doctors who has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life. I wasn’t the only one let down by the way I was treated. They might work well for others but for me the experience I had at this office will stick with me forever.

S B: Probably one of the worst doctor offices I’ve ever been too. I personally reached out because I was struggling with my mental health and I feel like I’ve just been ran around these last five months. I have never seen a mental health professional and didn’t have a clue of how these processes work. I originally called because I was hoping to be diagnosed, treated, and given therapy or whatever method they thought would benefit me. My first appointment had me in extremely high hopes, so much that I waited for two months for my next appointment. When that appointment came (in February) I had switched insurances and what they intended to do, was no longer covered. The woman on the phone insisted nothing could be done unless I paid out of pocket, so I asked what other resources were available that were covered. She didn’t even want to offer me therapy, I had to ask her directly if that was an option, and she made a point to say there were no female therapists available at the time & that I could go elsewhere. Should have been my first red flag. After scheduling with a male therapist, who’ve I’ve only seen twice, both my appointments were canceled for the month of April. When I called back to reschedule, the earliest they could fit me in was the end of May. My therapist mentioned seeing me weekly or biweekly, but how is that even possible? How is anyone at this facility getting better when whoever handles the scheduling places months between your visits?
