The woman I spoke with said I could not be seen here because "they are legally required to report to the government if I have supplemental medicaid insurance." Due to my experience working in an optometrist office, I know that is untrue and patients can opt to just use their primary in-network insurance. I told her I wouldn't mind using my BCBC instead. In a very condescending tone she replied "sorry but I'm not going to loose my job because you want to be a patient here. You can go somewhere else." .... I am speechless. Please do better.

Jennifer Preston: Unfortunately I had to provide one star. Dr. LaForest is absolutely amazing! Due to short staffing, (which is another sad story) I was fired after recovering from Covid. No one could wait for me to “get better.” Sick!

I can honestly say after only one appointment with her I feel like I could go to her about anything without judgement and trust her. 10/10 staff!

Dr. Heslinger is the only provider I have had in my life that doesn’t just sit there and try to collect a paycheck, he cares about his patients. He is the only provider that has ever given me answers about my case or if he doesn’t know yet he WILL figure out what’s going on. He doesn’t leave you wondering what’s going on and you always leave his office with a smile.

Jamie Boa: Dr. Levashkevich is an amazing doctor (and surgeon) who has spend so much time with me over the past several years. I know that I can trust his medical opinions entirely but he also allows me to make my own decisions about my health. He has given me a lot of comfort in some dark times in my life! I also really love Patricia, Char and Heather.. they are amazing ladies who show a lot of compassion. Heather especially is so kind and always so helpful! The only negative I'd say is that they are busy at times and it may be hard to get an appointment in. That just means to me that they are good doctors and that they take their time with their patients. I have talked with Dr. Fellenbaum in passing and he seems like a great doctor too. I'm SO glad that I found this place when I did! I am hoping for Dr. Levashkevich to deliver my first baby soon :)Update- I now have a healthy, amazing 1 1/2 year old. The birth of my daughter went seamlessly even with the few complications I was having.Would recommend going here a thousand times over :)

Dawn Smeja: The doctor insisted I have an ultrasound for a chronic condition that has been unchanged in 21 years. This was after telling me how slow they have been since covid started. I figured fine, can’t hurt. That was more than 3 weeks ago and I cannot get anyone to call me back about the results. I’ve tried to review them myself in the patient portal, to no avail. Something as simple as a routine test, and now I’ve been worried about a scan I didn’t necessarily want or need to have done to begin with. I’ve left messages on their online system and multiple voicemails. The staff who I have talked to told me they can’t give me the results because the physician “hasn’t signed off” and then he went on vacation. They said there was no other physician who could give the okay to release my test results. After 3 weeks, this is terrible, terrible practice to keep a patient waiting like this. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Kari Riley: I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Levashkevich and the staff at Flint OBgyn. I found out I was pregnant with our 3rd and it was very unexpected.. I struggled with anxiety over having a 3rd csection and Dr. Levashkevich listened and made me feel so much better about everything. I was considered high risk so I was at the office a LOT towards the end of my pregnancy- all of the ladies there are just so amazing. They made the whole prenatal experience wonderful!When it came time to have my csection, our insurance got all messed up and they would only let me go to Hurley instead of Genesys. I was terrified that Dr. Levashkevich wouldn’t be able to deliver my daughter, but he made sure to be there and even came to check on me afterwards even though he could have had an attending dr do so since I was his only patient there.They made this pregnancy and birth the absolute best out of all 3 of my kiddos.

Autumn J: I came to this practice when I found out I was pregnant, they were so kind! Pregnancy went super smooth, I always felt so welcomed there. I still go there for all my check ups and they know me by name! They’re super flexible and clean! Love this place and Dr.Fellenbalm!

Carolyn Nizio: The doctors are nice, but the communication between staff/doctors is horrible.I had the staff asking me how to spell perscriptions that the doctor perscribed. I was a patient for 11 weeks before I switched docs. I always asked if they knew if every little thing was covered by my insurance and I had to call the insurance constantly to check. They didn't warn me in my previous appt. about some of the bloodwork (and said it would be covered) did genetic testing and I was billed $5000. The doctors are nice, but not informative. They kept saying that everything was my choice as far as the labor and delivery, and then when it came down to specific questions (like monitoring Heartrate, position I was able to be in for a natural delivery, etc.) they either had strict regulations or they would vaguely say, "well, we will see"

Ro Harris: I was quoted the wrong price by Flint Ob staff for an office procedure and never received test results for a procedure that was performed a month ago. I requested to speak with the office Manager Linda to resolve the issue, she was extremely RUDE, very unprofessional, unhelpful and unwilling to resolve the problem created by their staff. A patient should be aware of their out of pocket expenses. This gives the patient the opportunity to make an informed decision. I was told my procedures would be approximately $400 out of pocket, prior to having the procedure done. I then scheduled my appointment because that was somewhat affordable. I received a call from billing a month after having the procedure done, telling me I owe $1,500. I was livid! I was not given the opportunity to make an informed decision because I would have NEVER scheduled the procedure if their staff would have quoted me the correct price. Linda-the office manager was very short with me and had a terrible attitude. However, Dr. Alexy is a great OB/GYN but he definitely needs a new office manager. She did not even want to acknowledge that her staff made a mistake nor was she apologetic for this terrible experience! An office manager should display great customer service skills and be knowledgeable about how to rectify the problem created by their staff. Linda was NOT and this was by far the WORSE experience ever. She blamed me for not calling my insurance company. I kept explaining to her I did not need to because the procedure was not covered. I knew since I had not met my deductible I needed their office to tell me the exact amount they charge for the procedure, so I could determine if I was going to have it done and if it was affordable for me! She is a buffoon, she did not understand the information I conveyed to her repeatedly.

The nurse at the front counter is horribly rude but my biggest complaint is that they refuse to allow the mother's to have any support system what so ever. My daughter is 18 first time mom and they won't let the father or even me be with her to support her. I k ow covid is going.on but that's what masks are for .right? No mother should be forced to do this alone especially by their doctor..my recommendation is to find a doctor with compassion and who wants your pregnancy to be calm and not make you feel alone

NICOLE GLAM: Love Dr Kheder and staff. Took very good care of me and my twins during my high risk pregnancy. This was my first pregnancy and Dr answered all the questions I had and made sure me and my children was safe.

Chelsea Schoenherr: I absolutely love Dr. Khedr and his team. He took me in at 33 weeks pregnant when I didn’t like my previous OB. He treated me like family and gave me the best care. I love how knowledgeable and educated he is. I will definitely return to him for all my annual exams and my future pregnancies!

Tiffany Markley: I would not recommend this physician to anyone. I began seeing her initially in my pregnancy, on up until my second trimester. She does not have appropriate bedside manner, nor does she take time to answer questions and work collaboratively in a healthcare setting with patients. She was an hour and a half late for the appointment, and no apology. When I asked for a second opinion regarding some health issues, Kalra became very aggressive and confrontational. My experience with her was a nightmare. I was then referred to Doctor Levashkevich, just to find out that they have already taken on a score of other women that had the same issue with her that I did. I then decided to switch to Dr. Kling, who I would also recommend. Almost any other OB in the McLaren network is preferable to this one. Do your homework before choosing!

Ashley W: Dr.Kalra has been my dr for many years. She is very personable and takes time to listen to what my needs are. She makes me feel comfortable and cared for. Her staff is also very friendly and helpful.

I left a voicemail complaining, and then the next day they called me and told me they weren't accepting new patients. Honestly one of the more confusing experiences I've had, this place is a mess. I went in for a follow up and she is on a conference call with several other doctors and tells me I’m on the verge of having cancer with them on the line. Not to mention I was never called back to schedule my possible life saving procedure. I had to call them! definitely going to be looking for a different doctor for my procedure.

Kailie Lynn: Very unorganized. Seen doc fill out multiple times the same paper with the same questions. Hear she’s rude. But I changed doctors before we got to far but didn’t accomplish anything in the first 2 appointments.Now taking 2 weeks to fax over my records to my new doc before my appointment and they keep telling me over and over they will get it done.Also they do have a 45 min wait for appointments some times. Idk if that’s an Obgyn thing or not (FTM) but I’m not very pleased with widwest.

K S: Had an appointment scheduled for 10:45. Was called to reschedule for 1:00. Fine, that’s fine. I showed up 10 minutes before 1:00, and 1:45 rolls around and I still wasn’t helped. No one that was there before me was helped either while I was there, can only imagine how long they waited. I walked out. Even the nurses were saying “I feel like we haven’t been productive, there’s a lot of people out in the lobby.” Yeah, no. Onto the next OB. Thanks for wasting my time!

Lily Morrison: I’m 5 months pregnant and I’ve only had 2 appointments. They keep rescheduling and moving dates around, and I haven’t gotten any test done on my baby yet that is supposed to be done! And they never answer the phone!! Do not recommend this place at all!!! Very unprofessional staff

Antonia Knaggs: Would not recommend her to anyone. Very pushy doctor who won't listen to you seems that what you say goes through one ear and out the other , claims I have gestational diabetes when my numbers are between 90/120 which are normal. Wants me to continue testing after I told her I'm done testing myself every day, she straight up told me to find someone else if that's the case because she won't just check on my baby for the rest of the pregnancy (I'm 32weeks along) proceeded to suddenly change my birthing plan stating I'd be birthing at Hurley even after I said I never wanted to go there, when I said no she tried to scare me into agreeing to go saying anything could go wrong with my very normal and healthy pregnancy. Not happy at all the first couple visits she was nice and listened then as appointments went along the waits went from 10/15 minutes to a hour wait for a 5/10 minute appointment of not going over very much only gave one ultrasound so far through this whole pregnancy even when requested for another.

Nia: Unfortunately my OB was Dr. Veena Kalra. She did not take anything I said seriously. She told me I should not be sitting all day at work and next to a lot of technology (I worked at a call center), and I told her the only way I could avoid sitting is by getting a dr's note to raise my desk and seat. She then told me no LOL. She was rude, didn't care about anything, and rushed apppointments. She had absolutely no manners it was bad. And no thanks to her "expert" opinion, I almost died and I'm glad I didn't take her advice! I had to have an emergency c section, my heart rate was 200 and going up, my daughters was 40 and declining. And I found out through the anesthesiologist she took a lunch break! A lunch break while we all waited on her 😒🙄 Then I got an abscess from the c section and she tried to convince me it was just my GI issues, which a GI specialist she is not. I couldnt even put a t shirt on without being in pain, I couldn't even keep water down, and all I wanted to do was sleep. Thankfully I took my moms advice and went in to ER and im glad. I was almost septic from the abscess they said 12 hours or less I would've been dead. She told me at my last appointment to see her if I had another baby, my response, I'd rather deliver my next child at home with no meds rather than go back to her. Such an awful experience and this is only SOME details. The Hurley staff was good just a bad doctor and unfortunately it ruins it all. I can no longer step foot in a hospital without having anxiety.

Avoid at all cost!!!Long story short..I canceled a routine prenatal checkup at 20 weeks (husband was in a car accident the day of my apt) didn’t get through to the secretary so I left a message. No big deal. Well 6 WEEKS had passed and nobody was answering my daily phone calls OR calling me back to schedule an apt so I decided I needed to switch to a new OB. Put in a request to have my records transferred and not only did the office not send over my records, Dr Kalra REFUSED to release me to any Hurley affiliate.This was all dragged out over the course of 5 MORE weeks meaning I have not been seen for now 11 weeks. Finally found a practice that will take me this late In the game (I’m 35 weeks) but her office STILL hasn’t sent over my records in their entirety. They were requested 4 weeks ago. Found out through my lawyer this is highly illegal and the disorganization of her practice is about to cost her a medical malpractice lawsuit. Save yourself a huge headache and find someone else. The past 15 weeks have been hell dealing with this mess

The doctor doesn't do the things she says she's going to she always changes it to happen at the next appointment and it never happens. So thankful im high risk and will be seeing a high risk doctor the rest of my pregnancy.

Kerrie Cragg: I dreaded seeing Dr. Kalra. She swab bed my membranes without consent or warning. After that trust issue obviously developed. I just didn't feel like I was valued or my opinion on having a natural birth was.... She didn't respect my birth plan, come delivery time. I asked for specific things like delayed umbilical clamping and everything was ignored as if I never wrote one.

Holly Elizabeth: Don't know why I chose this clinic again but the office staff are rude. Including my last pregnancy a few of the doctors were extremely rude and condicending. The office just gave me an appointment for 13 weeks pregnant for my first visit. That is unhealthy to wait that long. I love hurley, but this is unacceptable

Also Tammy who has done two out of the three of my sonograms has been GREAT. Explains everything well, makes me feel comfortable and is VERY kind. Alayna Renee: Tiffany was the first person I spoke to when I got referred to Hurley for my high risk pregnancy. I had no idea what I was doing or where to go. This was my first child and I was so nervous knowing I was being transferred to high risk. Tiffany was so kind and went out of her way to help me and explain things. She was so patient with me even though she was always busy with other patients. She made my visits much easier and comforting. She always greeted me with a smile. I wish more places had people working up front like Tiffany! Thanks again Tiffany I appreciate your kindness you’ve shown me!

No one answered the second hold time after I explained I was calling back because I was on hold over 20 minutes...they said don't hang up...we may be with another patient. So I didn't hang up as you can see...didn't make a difference.My birth last year was very traumatic...they saved my baby but...horrible horrible treatment to mothers perinatal and postpartum anxiety. Almost cost us both our lives by delaying my diagnosis of preeclampsia...saying it was just anxiety.Being on hold with them literally triggered me back to how they treated me during my pregnancy and I just started crying. But I didn't hang up because unfortunately no other office has the capability to do telemedicine and I have a verified disability of agoraphobia.I used to think they were just discriminating against my disability until I came here and read other reviews.I'd say great for babies, terrible for moms but...if the baby doesn't even have a healthy mom because of poor medical treatment or mom dies how is that great for baby? It's not.Update: added one star...as they got back with me asap and got me an appointment after I made this review. There was a mix up of the time...but I still had my appointment so...that's better I suppose.

Brittany Naumiec: Hurley's NICU and labor and delivery staff are beyond AMAZING. Had my daughter at 28 weeks and they took great care of the both of us. The OB clinic on the other hand is very different. The 2 other appointments I have had, I have got called back way past my scheduled time (30min or so). Trying to schedule and annual checkup right now, I've been on hold to make an appointment for 38 minutes now! No option for call back, way too long for someone to wait on hold just to schedule and appointment.

Hollie Schmitz: If I could give less than 1 star I would. I set an appointment to get a consult for tubal ligation and hormonal issues a month in advance. Went in to my appointment, and they had set me up for a prenatal visit... why would you do that if I'm saying I want surgery to get my tubes tied? Then, I had to set a new appointment and wait another month. Then, they called and said it has to be a phone appointment... how can you check my hormone levels and make sure I can safely get a surgery done over the phone? I called a different place that can get me in 2 days sooner and will see me in person. They also have 5 stars instead of less than 2. This place is just a mess.

And then trying to make an appointment was even worse because I got transferred to another line and didn’t even get to make my appt. definitely going to be finding a new place to go too.

I had a high risk pregnancy and was sent to her, she right away walked in told me we should induce that my baby would die and just start over. Kept repeating it and pushing it and wouldn't tell me the other options I had asked to hear saying it was a waste of time to try and give my child a chance to live. My husband had to tell her we were done here in a sharp voice before she finally shut up because I was so emotional trying not to burst into tears hearing how my baby had absolutely no chance of making it past the 16 weeks. I demanded another opinion because I simply couldn't believe how cold she was when she marched in took one keep at my scans and dropped that bomb shell on a new mother like that.

Nancy School: If you are of child bearing age, this is the perfect place. Spent well over 20 years with doctor Fellenbaum. He's the reason I was able to conceive. When perimenopause hit, he said he believed that God had forgotten women over 50. So has doctor Fellenbaum. We all know smoking isn't the right choice for anyone. But he told me he couldn't help me if I didn't stop. He was rude to me on more than one occasion. Doctor Fellenbaum has bounced around and been at several locations, with multiple partners. I'm sure he's nearing retirement at this point. Just want to caution anyone going through menopause, this is not the place for you. It's all about the $! It's ironic that he perscribed birth control for me for 12 years, but when it came to hormones for menopause, he totally dismissed me.

Ann Cruz: Never could get phone calls returned. Left several messages and filled out the contact request form several times. Never saw Dr. Fellenbaum due to not being able to reach anyone at the office.

Dione Diener: Dr Fellenbaum delivered both of my girls. Amazing bedside manner and so easy to talk to.

Amber Tobolski: Dr. Fellenbaum is caring and compassionate. He provides thorough care while creating a comfortable atmosphere. He is friendly and never seems rushed or stressed like some doctors. He always greets you with a smile. I’ve seen him every 2-4 weeks throughout my high risk pregnancy and I‘Ve always felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Sarah Wood: In very good hands and very knowledgeable and experienced. If your having an emergency he is right there to take care of it. I’ve been going to Dr. Fellenbaum for almost 20 years, delivered both my c-sections with no issues, inserted an IUD with no issues, and also helped with a reoccurring cyst. He calls back his patients to see how they are feeling which means a lot to me. I recommend him to any women having issues. I trust him and recommend him to anyone that is having women issues, he knows what he is doing and I’m thankful to have him as my trusted gynecologist.

I can't say 100% because I'm dealing with chronic pain from interstitial cystitis. He truly makes you feel special during such an important time. The testing is very thorough as well. I’ll be sad to see the day we move and have babies when Dr. Fellenbaum can’t be the OB for the pregnancy.
