Duane Alexander: The following is my opinion of my experience with Maeder Enterprises out of Davison Michigan. My next door neighbor hired this company to do a small fence 5 section chain link fence project. I cam home from work and immediately saw a young man climbing over my black anodized aluminum fence I had just professionally installed fall 2020. I tried to approach the man and he walked off like I was not there. They offered me only an apology. They have been digging holes and setting poles in concrete so there was mud and concrete all over the top rail of my aluminum fence. I checked and it didn't seem to be bent so I walked away. Later I reviewed my Ring Security system video footage and saw the same man jumped my fence other times in the exact same spot. So I went back out and wiped the mud and grit off the top rail to find several scratches through my black coating right to the aluminum beneath. I have tried to make contact by phone leaving messages and texts and nobody will return my calls. I could buy a new part for around $50 if I new how to replace it myself. This is petty of them to ignore me after they trespassed on my property and caused property damage they should be willing to work with me to make things right. I have given them plenty of time to contact me but they do nothing. I plan to call my local police department to seek council on the matter of trespassing and property damage. I have the evidence and know the perpetrator - seems cut and dry. Maybe BBB next. Also if you are considering hiring these guys and are thinking "well they just jumped the other guy's fence" you would be wrong. They jumped the fence they were installing back and forth immediately after setting posts in fresh concrete. You can imagine how that install looks. They jumped the corner where my fence and the neighbors single section of front yard fence they tied off to. That post now leans and a void opened up at the base of the pole so you can see how much the post was yanked over. Very unprofessional and low quality. Very inconsiderate of others property and not willing to take responsibility. Also they crew showed up what appeared to be a junky personal truck with a broken tail light duck taped together, rusty smashed parts and no business credentials on the sides. We all like to see our neighbors homes get improvements but not at our expense. My neighbor is sweet and did no mean for any of this. Even if this company is the lowest bidder it would be best to spend a little more and go with a professional that cares. Steer clear of Maeder Enterprises in Davison MI.
