Jeffrey Hill: I dealt with internal hemorrhoids for over a decade. Saw two other doctors who made no difference at all with their procedures. Dr Mattingly took care of me in two visits to his office. I wish I had gone to see him years ago. If you are dealing with hemorrhoids, do yourself a favor and go see Dr Mattingly.

Surgery went great and I highly recommend him. I see others complain about his office staff. We have had absolutely no issues. They are very polite and helpful. It is a little hard to get through sometimes on the phone but people need to understand this is a surgeon's office and the staff does more then just schedule appointments. They also deal with insurances, setting up surgeries, dealing with hospital personnel. They do a lot. I think they have been great. Thank you for your care.Marilyn

Autumn Nemitz: The most unprofessional medical office I've ever been to. I was referred to him but couldn't get through to his office after calling them for a week, so finally had to contact Ascension for them to get in touch with his office for me. Dr. Mattingly called me back personally and left a voicemail apologizing about how I couldn't get through to schedule an appointment and to come in today at 9:30 AM, which I actually respected.However, when I showed up, there was no record of an appointment for me and the receptionist had no information about Dr. Mattingly calling me to come in. She told me that once he comes in for the day, she would speak with him about "squeezing me in". I continued to wait for 90 minutes until 11:00AM without being informed by reception what was going on. I asked for an update at that time which I was told there were no updates, but that I was the next patient to be seen. I told them I had been waiting for 90 minutes already and that I had to take time off of work for this and could not wait much longer. The receptionist with responded "sorry" and nothing else. Her and the other receptionist continued to talk about how they don't have sympathy for patients with hemorrhoids because everyone has them and they're not that big of a deal so those patients can wait, saying all off this within very close earshot of a waiting room full of patients. I waited an additional 10 minutes and eventually had to leave since I scheduled for only a half day off work. I wasted so much time and gas money over this appointment for absolutely nothing.
