My biggest issue was the portion sizing. A while ago, the nachos were at a good size for a delectable price (a LARGE plate for $16). Today it was STILL $16 for half, if not a third, of the size. Chips were soggy too. Inflation did NOT downsize my nachos that much.

It was a pricy dinner, but that was to be expected for a nicer restaurant.I had a steak which was cooked excellently, my wife had a pasta dish she said was wonderful. Izzy: I love Blondies! My boyfriend and I always go here to eat. It’s one of the only places around I can get vegan food that’s not just fries and be confident that it is safe from meats. The staff is always super nice, I’ve never had any problems asking questions here. The portions are great for the price! For two people, we spend about $30-40 and most meals come with two sides and the main dish. It always comes out tasting delicious!

Ostiva Pouilte: Every time i come here they’re always so nice and the waitresses are very attentive! The spinach dip IS THE BEST THING ON THE MENU! 10 out of 10 must try again. The fish tacos are amazing as well. (If you like fish) also they’re lemon drops are sensational. The fried green tomatoes are good too! Vanilla Bean: We have literally been sitting here waiting for our food, including our appetizers, for almost a hour. Then when we inquired about our food, she came to our table yelling at us and that wasn’t cool. People looking at us while the waitress was yelling at us too. She claim she was waitressing more tables than everyone else was. But the women sitting next to us had a good waitress. Now, what could a bartender do about a waitress not bringing our food to our table???Just disappointing our waitress never came back to say oh do you guys need a refill to update us on the status are of our appetizers or our food so we just decided we weren’t going wait for our food any longer because there’s no possible way that other people are walking in after us and leaving and we’re still sitting here waiting for our food.My sister ordered soup. Jennie Harris: Luigi's is a staple in the city of Flint, where lots of places didn't make it and went under, Luigi's has remained strong. The pizza is the main attraction, it's the same as I remember it from 32 years ago. BIG BIG BIG pizzas, paper thin crust, hand thrown, loaded with toppings. Not cheap, not expensive, but definitely one of those you get what you pay for!! My mom and I go eat here every time ale comes up from Florida, as we used to live one street over on Arlington. I hope this place is around for me to take my daughter to in 30 years. P.S. Parking is kinda funny, might be difficult if you're in a wheelchair or need assistance.Kid-friendliness: Family type place EVEN THOUGH the biggest part of the place is a bar, it's not uncommon for kids to be running playing and eating here. El Me: Dining experience was going great until we had to watch this overweight, smelly and scowling manager walk by. Not only did she dampen our experience, but the way she talked to the employee she was speaking to seemed aggressive, rude and controlling. I don't know this manager's name, but she had blonde hair and a large, round face and was slightly obese. We paid on the computer and left as soon as we could. Seems like she should not be in the position she is in. I feel so bad for that waitress. Food was great though! We'll probably get to go from now on.

Hailee James: Blackstones smokehouse downtown flint was an amazing experience from the staff/customer service, atmosphere, and food! Everyone was extremely friendly and our waitress was kind and attentive! The food & drinks were incredible best loaded fries, burgers, and Mac & cheese! Would definitely recommend this place as one of the best restaurants you can find in downtown flint.
Anthony Hardin: The brisket was ok, a 6 or 7 out of 10. I don't know if the large chunks of cream cheese in the salmon dip appetizer were intentional, but they resulted in some bites being fairly spicy while others were almost bland. I think I would have preferred a more homogeneous mix. The music was good, but quite loud for the number of people in the restaurant. We arrived at about 7:30- 8:00 on a Saturday evening. I would go again if invited, although I probably wouldn't plan a visit on my own.

We had just registered for their Social Club before our trip after finding them online. Walking downtown from our hotel, the original restaurant we were going to was closed, and we saw the back entrance of Blackstone's and decided to go in.Wow, we were blown away. The atmosphere, the amazing smell of the food, the decor, everything had a great ambiance. We bellied up to the bar and met Zach, the bartender. What a fantastic representative to have at the bar. He was friendly, great service, and great recommendations. Then we met this amazing gentleman behind the bar. Had a great conversation, and it felt like we knew him forever - Jerrid. Turns out, Jerrid is the owner!!After everyone on our way telling us to stay away from Flint, Zach and Jerrid made our visit so memorable we are already planning our next trip back.Jerrid, we can not thank you enough for your kindness, generosity and hospitality, and for making us feel like family. We can not wait to come back for our next trip and spend some more time at the restaurant and bar!For everyone wondering - Flint is a fantastic city to visit. Though we were there for only a short time, we felt safe walking around, drinking the water, and eating the food. Dill: Updating my review. How the mighty have fallen. The food is good, but they do not observe basic allergy prep rules. They fry everything in the same oil as the fish. Strike one. The selection is still good, but I'm questioning it now. We stopped in today and they absolutely water their liquor. And they served the wrong liquor on top of watering it down. We ordered Don Julio 1942 shots. Waitress brought out what she said was Julio blanco. It was straight water. Told waitress, she said they just opened the bottle. I honestly didn't know spring mountain made tequila. But hey, it was smooth. Strike two. Then the shot cost half the price of the bottle. Strike three. Drew Grande: Very quiet at this current time, but the food is delicious. Had to wait a little extra time for my food, but the waitress was very attentitive and it was well worth the wait at the end. If your at this hotel this restaurant is currently in I recommend it to anyone.

It never ceases to amaze me how poorly these hotel restaurants are run. Sad really.
Natalie Sutherland: The restaurant used to be great but the last couple times I have been there it has been apsolutely terrible. The menu has changed for the worse along with the cleanliness of the entire place. There was mold floating in our water pitcher along with lipstick marks on our glasses. Food quality is not good, you can tell they make everything from frozen. On a good note, the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Pat Seibert: I purchased a $40 voucher for the place for $20, with an expiration date of 3 months after purchase. Lost track of time and voucher, to have it expire. Contacted miNBC Deals, where I purchased the voucher, to find out that the $20 used to purchase it was redeemable for 5 years.I finally made an appearance yesterday (7/6) at J. Porter's to use the $20 that I paid for the voucher and was denied. I presented it to the waitress, who took it to the manager, who indicated that they would not honor it. I went and personally spoke to the manager, indicating that the value paid for the voucher should be honored. He disagreed, took it to the general manager of the establishment, who indicated that, since the voucher was expired, none of it would be honored. The only thing that he was willing to do was to give me 25% off my visit, which was unacceptable to me.After calmly attempting to explain the scenario, wasting time and energy, to be embarrassed by the establishment, I requested my money back from miNBC Deals, so that I don't have to do business with them ever again. It was obvious to me that they don't care for my business at all. The place was empty at around 5pm and now I know why.miNBC Deals was very accommodating in honoring my request for a full refund, so I never have to return to the restaurant.
