Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center: what do users think?
Dwayne Frankenstein (BgDgg): Everyone at sharp funeral home was outstanding and kind to the sparks family. They even took pictures of the military funeral for us and sent them to us. Jennifer is also outstanding as she has continued to help our family post funeral. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you to everyone at sharp funeral home Fenton rd.
Richard Wassmuth: My experience with Mike Scully and Sharp Funeral Home was outstanding. With a sudden hospital death in the family and no immediate family in the area, he handled everything for us from a single phone call. He and Sharp FH are professional, courteous and responsive. I highly recommend them.
Candice Mulholland: My father passed 5.13.16- I never realized how easy Sharpe’s made everything. Pre-planning, ( Sheryl was very instrumental in the complete process) obituary notices, 3 newspapers and TV ( plus keepsakes of laminated Obituary). Not only posting of obituary, but, actually helped me and my sister-in-law write. The day of funeral was very smooth. They helped arrange all arrangements at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Helpful down to memory cards and thank you notes. Realizing, how wonderful everyone helped the process now that my II had passed. Wish I could say everything for my mom was as smooth. We no longer lived in area so pre-planning and final destination was planned elsewhere..Thank you Sheryl and Sharpe’s for a very stress free final destination for my Father-James J Lyons.Loving Daughter
Tess Rider: There were tons and tons of technical issues with the TVs and sound system. Absolutely none of their technology worked properly. They also messed up the burial processional, and had to circle back around, which was awkward and disappointing. Was not kid friendly at all. They made it seem like having kids at the viewing was an annoyance.I caught one of the workers being extremely rude to my 4 year old, and when she realized I was behind her, she tried to cover it up by saying how cute she thought she was. I saw the same worker mocking someone behind their back. There was a marked difference between the staff from one day to the next, because the next day everyone was very kind. Will not be using or recommending the Fenton Rd location ever again.
Kimberly Cole: I am eternally grateful for Stephanie and the staff at Sharp’s Funeral Home during an incomprehensible time.Stephanie led me through the process with a level of compassion, support, love, prayer; overall service excellence.I am eternally grateful to God for Stephanie and Sharp’s Funeral Home, I could not navigate this process so beautifully without her level of support, compassion, prayer and love during this tragic time.Stephanie is a beautiful blessing and I will forever hold her and her team in my prayers. When one is faced with making a decision to find assistance during a crisis, I highly recommend Sharp’s Funeral Home, exceptional care for you and your family.
Gerald Brannam: They took care of both my parents and did a very nice job. They are very nice and understanding . I would definitely recommend them .
Tiffany's xzmjksksmñ. Power Ranger Cavaness: This place is what you hope for when u lose a loved one . They made the process the best it could be given the situation . The staff was so nice. The man that helped me thru the service was the sweetest .. Always asking if i needed anything .. Making sure everything was Perfect . You really cant ask for better people. They made everything so personal even when i thought i was being picky they understood and made it happen . Jennifer Sharp i dont know how to thank you enough for your patiece and kindness . Your father should be so proud of who u are and how u represent Sharp funeral home .. Ur Amazing !!. I will never go to another funeral home. Theres just no way i could have been treated better anywhere else. Thanks again for everything and for simply being you .Love , Tiffany Cavaness
Annie Heiden: A giant thank you to Steve and everyone involved in the funeral of our mother. You gave much comfort to this emotional time for us. Your professionalism, caring and certainty in helping us complete this leg of our mother’s journey provided us with confidence in knowing details were completed without any worry from us.You all are greatly appreciated.Kindly,Ann Heiden
Donald Palacios: Way TO High Priced For What You Get.Also Was Rushed through process.3 stars it could be worse!!!
Kevin: Very nice
bill davis: When our mom passed unexpectedly we were surprised to find the cemetery plot she paid for wanted several hundreds more to put her there we were devastated. Sharp had already quoted us a price for their part but this staff went above that and found a plot and buried my mom in a beautiful spot for the same price. His bless you to the staff and the help you gave us in our grief. Its been a few years and the thanks yius are late coming but it took time to think of that time.. Thank you so much...

Swartz Funeral Home: what do users think?
Clifton Stokes: Attend funeral and visitations. They take care of their customers well is seems.
Ashley King: I honestly cannot say one bad thing about the people who took care of my grandmother Helen Rossetter and our family. So compassionate, caring and above and beyond. My grandmother looked exactly like she did, her make up and hair was exactly how I expected it. The ceremony was beautiful and witty. Thank you Swartz. ❤️
Randy .Cronover: My father in Traverse City had been in failing health since the beginning of this year and sadly passed two weeks ago. My 2Sisters and myself contacted Swartz Funeral Home to make arrangements for his service. As we had preplanned, they immediately transported his body and had everything in place within a few days. My family was extremely grateful that owner/director, Rick Lamb, personally oversaw the service. The care, compassion and cooperation that he and his staff demonstrated to our family and friends was impeccable. Thank you Rick for going above and beyond our expectations.
Mark Wallen: Staff is very wonderful
George G: November 27th, 2021 My Mom Sarah , me and my siblings received the terrible news my Dad George , passed away at the age 56. We reached out to Swartz Funeral Home for help with the arrangements etc. Steve, Cody, and the staff were phenomenal. They treated us with sincere sympathy and were very understanding. Steve was absolutely amazing. He's very polite, understanding, caring, and overall an amazing guy to work with. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Swartz for your help. We greatly appreciate everything you've done for us and for being so very helpful and understanding during this unfortunate time.
Zachary Robinett: Thank you so much to the staff at Swartz funeral home, I remember when my grandmother passed we held her service here and they really helped my mom out with everything, money was tight and they still made it happen for my grandma to have a beautiful service. But what brings me here to state my opinion is that, my mother just passed unexpectedly so naturally me and my brother came here first and it was absolutely THEE right decision, everything happened so unexpected and we had minimal planning for this, they worked with us to make sure me and my brother could take good care of my mother one last time. I can’t express enough how grateful we are for the people here and how much they helped us today.
Tammie Malin: We have used this funeral home since 1994, they have always been very accommodating and considerate to all of our families needs, this is the only place I trust with my loved ones
Albert Welch: Took incredibly good care of my family after my father's passing. Their staff came to collect him from hospice at our home and were very professional and caring. Their staff helped us write a lovely obituary for their website, and gave us an opportunity to see Dad again before he was cremated.
Dennis Pillow: The most beautiful funeral home I've ever been too, the Lamb family are so caring, The staff always is so polite and helpful, thank you,
Derek Jackson: Very nice service, clean facilities, good decor.
Annette Mayner: Just went to a funeral on January 3rd 2019 ... I have been to many funeral viewings here ... my own family was here ... I didn't notice the attention to detail that was with my family ... The premises were clean ... They need more chair in the family refreshment lounge ... Not everyone could sit to have a bite to eat or drink. .. Just didn't have the same feel ... my last family member was in 2013 and they were ultra good then
Bruce Sprague: We were very pleased with the planning and coordinating my dad's funeral. Brian was Amazing. Kimberly was very helpful and knowledgeable. She guided us through everything we needed. Would highly recommend Swartz Funeral Home. They literally took care of every detail before, during and after the funeral.
Matthew Taylor: Continued from Mark Taylor's ReviewFrom the placement of the flower arrangements prior to the start of the visitation and continuing with the placement of memorial gifts that arrived during the visitation, the room was open to walk through with chairs being placed in a manner that allowed interaction between family and friends. Our family’s privacy was respected by Codie and the staff always, especially during the visitation and if required the visits into the visitation room were quick, focused and direct. We especially give special thanks to those personal who worked with Susan in preparation of the body for the incredible work they did to make our loved one look as we remembered her to look throughout her life. We recognize this was a difficult and challenging task and the persons responsible for taking on this task did an outstanding job and from our hearts we give great thanks for being able to put some more difficult mental images of Susan deeper in our memories by bringing us a memory of how Susan looked during the great majority of her lifetime.Again, we as a family were very pleased with Codie and the Personal at Swartz Funeral Home on Hill Road and recommend them highly. We would definitely work with these individuals again, who made a very difficult time so much easier for us and allowed us very warm and pleasing memories of the celebration of Susan’s life.
Blueturk: Swartz Funeral Home on Hill Road is a very beautiful home with historic features integrated into a very modern, spacious and ADA accessible building with all the areas we as a family used being serviced by an easily accessable stairway or elevator. The room used to plan the service was roomy yet comfortable and was placed to provide privacy for the family. The bathrooms are clean and accommodating especially for those who live with physical limitations. The lounge area is large enough to move around in with room for each family present to share space while displaying any food and drink brought to share during visitation. An adjoining room has comfortable tables and padded dining chairs in which to spend time while having a snack or drink.Five stars to Swartz Funeral Home and especially for our Funeral Director, Codie, from initiation to conclusion of the service for Susan Gipson. Codie took considerable time and expended great effort to help us create a memorial service that we were very happy with. Codie, worked with us (Husband to Susan, my wife and myself) for close to three hours to make the hard and necessary decisions for the memorial service in Swartz Funeral Home and in the Chapel area of the Mausoleum at Crestwood Cemetery. Working within a strictly defined budget, Codie, helped us with planning the day, time and size of the room for the visitation. Codie was kind, patient and compassionate throughout the selection of the casket, vault, memorial marker, death notice and all the other accompanying paper work and decisions and selections needed in planning the funeral. Codie’s diligent work to provide us the best experience possible in the memorial service for our loved one started with our first meeting and introductions and followed through to the end of the service. Although being extremely busy during our planning of the service and during the service itself, Codie always asked if we needed anything and if all was going as best as possible for us. All the requests that I am aware of were taken care of by Codie and all the personal at the funeral home with quick personal service and without any sense of being bothered or annoyed. All Personal encountered were quick to fulfill requests and did so without making us feel hesitant to ask. The caring and superior service Codie and all Personal at Swartz Funeral Home provided us allowed us to feel personally respected and cared for.From the large details to smallest details ie., a picture for the obituary notice, which we eventually downloaded from my wife’s phone to the Swartz Funeral Home web site with some difficulty, was accomplished by Codie working diligently through the glitches to make this happen, a small however very important detail for us. The Pastor used by Swartz Funeral Home, Hank, a Hospice Chaplin, took time in delivering a very well prepared non-denominational Christian message for us at the end of the visitation and again saying the right words at the Mausoleum during the conclusion of the service.The remainder of this review is being placed under Matthew Taylor’s name because of the limits google places on characters, which I do not agree with. If they ask for a review, google should post what one writes minus any profanity, here is the important conclusion;
Vickie Scott: Over 4 Months Ago, My Brother, Terry, Passed Away & Rick Lamb & The Staff, Took Very Good Care Of My Brother & Us, The Family, Throughout, The Showing Of My Brother, The Visitation & Funeral Services, Even After The Funeral, They Were Very Kind, To Help My Sister-in-law, To Figure Out Some Things! We All, Couldn't Have Been Anymore, Pleased! The Staff Were Very Attentive, To Our Needs & Very Friendly, To All Of Us! We Would Recommend, "Swartz Funeral Home" To Assist Anyone, In Their Time Of Bereavement❤The Harnetz & The Scott Families❤Thank You, Very Much❤
Nunya: I want to know why it says on the bottom of the obituary that condolances may be made to the family at YOUR funeral home and then once this was done several family members were allowed to verbally attack other family members with foul language, inappropriate comments, extremely rude, vile conduct and the utmost disrespect to the deceased and other guests who were trying to pay their respects? This all took place directly in front of the deceased casket!! Disgraceful!! Not only this, but NO staff from Swartz Funeral Home was visible while this was going on, nor in its aftermath. No attempt was made to quell this behavior, no attempt was made to escort those out who were causing the disturbance and because of this incident, certain family members are afraid to attend Lydia's funeral on Wednesday, February 14th at 1pm. This is totally unacceptable behavior on behalf of any family and should have been dealt with swiftly by you, Swartz Funeral Home. This couldn't have been an isolated case on the part of Swartz Funeral Home if you've been in this business as long as you say you have. I'm sure you've dealt with this sort of situation before. I am appalled by the lack of caring by ALL parties involved. Everyone who participated and did nothing to stop it should be ashamed. May God forgive all those who have no respect for the dead and don't allow those to rest in peace. I did not participate in any part of this horendice fiasco, but I hope and pray that no family ever has to witness what my sister was subjected to yesterday when she tried to pay her respects to her dead mother. I know I will never forget it........THIS IS A TWO PART CONTINUED REVIEW.......I am now reviewing the funeral of Lydia Skaggs. Once again you get a much less than favorable review for your conduct.Today, Wednesday, February 14, 2018 after services for Lydia Skaggs were over there was once again a disturbance caused by some of the family members who can not refrain from and do not seem to know when it is inappropriate to use foul language. These family members were given the "heads up" so to speak via a phone call by a staff member from Swartz Funeral Home that another family member had arrived there early. That enraged these particular family members! I feel Swartz Staff knew delivering this information to these people would set them off and cause them to become angry and it was not Swartz Staff's business to inform these people of ANYTHING PERIOD!! These very same family members were observed by others screaming and yelling obscenities at other family members who were there to pay their respects to the deceased. Onlookers were in shock, while some got up and left in fear or disgust. Only today something else was observed that was different than yesterday's disgusting display and was seven members of the Swartz Funeral Home staff, all standing, watching this circus, some with their hands over their open mouths, could be heard snickering!!!! When one member of your staff was confronted and asked to do something, that person was told, "This happens all the time, we would have to call the police." Ok! Then why didn't you??? Instead you all stood there and laughed? What did you think was so funny???? You are a disgrace. Don't think that I won't tell everyone that I know, exactly what I think of your business practices and how you instigated and participated in this egregious display. I am extremely embarrassed to admit that I am partially related to the people who behaved like trash and disrespected Lydia Skaggs and her family so badly. However, trust me when I say that when the staff at Swartz Funeral Home stands for nothing but trash, then you are every bit their equal.
Miguel Cin: Held funerals for both my in laws and it was wonderfully held here. The services are superb.
Richard Vyse: Outstanding service. My Mom passed away at night and was very pleased that the staff at Swartz wanted to come directly to my home to begin making the funeral arrangements. You just do not find a business willing to do that anymore. As we spoke I decided to wait until morning and they said that was ok and set an appointment time. Thank you for all of your kindness and considerations.
Heidi Smith: I am extremely upset with Swartz Funeral Home right now. My father just passed last night and the EMTs didn't even have him out of the house yet and a man from Swartz called and wanted to schedule a time for my mom to come in this morning to make funeral arrangements. They couldn't even give us that night to mourn before they started selling us on funeral arrangements. I feel that it was very inconsiderate to not even give us the evening. We will never use Swartz again. This is a very difficult time and they clearly do not care about anything but making money.
Jason Stallings: The little man that we dealt with during my brother's funeral was condescending and arrogant the entire time. He some how managed to take the worst day of our family's lives and make it a little worse. He was great...and by great, I mean a huge pile of fecal matter.
Grai like gray: Wonderful. The environment was beautiful, the staff was attentive, and our loved one looked like herself again. Thank you all for taking care of her.

LAWRENCE E. MOON FUNERAL HOME, INC., FLINT: what do users think?
April Ewing: Mister Moon have very nice people working for him
Cynthia Skinner: Flying in from out of state to see the remains of my love one. Very, very poor workmanship on the body facial features and didn’t look like herself at all. Evidently, they didn’t look at a picture of her and to say you knew her personally. She was black as a patent leather shoe. The staff was on point and I would never refer them to anyone. Terrible work.
Louis Ford: The family and I can not thank Mr. Moon and staff for the fabulous job they did with our mother THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! And I have to give special praise to Ms. Helen R. Williams ma'am you are great ambassador for your industry and I will never forget on the fabulous job you did. May God bless you and the entire Moon Lawrence E Funeral home family. With sincere gratitude Mr Louis Ali Ford.
J Mack: Mr Moon and staff are always professional and provide top notch service. They are a step above the rest and the longevity and the way that they handle business is truly evident. Their facility is always presentable and kept well, just an all around good choice!
Michael Moore: My family was beyond impressed with the services provided for my grandmothers homegoing. From her looking peaceful and vibrant, to them taking pictures that were at least 50yrs old, and making them look great for the presentation; every step in the process was met without the slightest complaint. My wife and i don't even live here, but she said she wouldn't mind Moons doing her service.
Benita Seale: I have had many experiences with Moon Funeral Home. Every time the service is excellent. I buried my mother recently, and I’m so glad our family chose Lawrence E Moon FH.
Kimmy Bro: Due to age, health and Covid restrictions my family was able to view the Memorial service of our beloved Brenda Jean Jones, my mothers niece, our sweet cousin, while in Pittsburgh, Pa. The quality was very clear. Thank you and may GOD continue to BLESS YOU.
Mary McGee: The home going service for my Uncle was very nice... All of the care takers were pleasant.. Everyone working wore masks 😷 (very thankful)! We were greeted up on arrival and the care that was given to my family was PHENOMENAL from the funeral to the National Cemetery to the re-pass everyone remained professional and to my surprise maintained their social distance..
katherine: They are the worst!!! They did a poor job for my family member. You would be better finding another funeral home. Perhaps they were good at some point in time but now they lack presentation and organization. Give your loved one what they truly deserve!
Dian Massey: Thanks for the warm and caring spirit of the entire staff at Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, doing our hour of bereavement. We were truly impressed as well as elated with the services render on behalf of my brother-in law Mr. Freddie Marshall. May God bless each if you!
Tammy Warren: On April 27, 2019 we laid my Father to rest. Moon made the difficult process very smooth. Seeing I was traveling back and forth making arrangements from another state. And want to have closure soon. Javonda and Curtis was amazing in helping me through this process. We had no insurance and Cremation just was not an option for me. They gave me a great package to fit my finical budget. My Dad looked amazing!!! The obituaries looked great the musician Jeremy they referred was top notch. Mr. Jones was the perfect person to assist us during the service. The patient Mr. Moons staff showed my family from the many phone calls I made and dropping by from the start of this process from 4-18-2019 until the final day 4–27-2019. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
Ashley Byas: I apperciate their assistance and service during my time of loss. What i dont apperciate is the handling of my daughter by staff, which was dropped twice infront of me and my husband and it broke my heart.
