Harry Harris: Sheriff Goslin installed a roof on my house 9 years ago. I noticed an issue with the roofing material used while cleaning out my gutters. I called Sheriff Goslin and a representative showed up and immediately stated I would get a new roof because of a defect in the material used. They researched this issue and initiated the warranty process. Low and behold just a short time later they showed up and put a completely new roof on my home. Michelle Wallace: Great company. I called multiple companies for help, but all were booked out months. They were able to prioritize me within a week. He came out, in the pouring rain, inspected my gutters, only to find they were in good shape. He noticed my problem was only due to some missing gutter screws. In order to save money, he explained to me how to fix it myself. Ultimately, I wasn't charged a dollar for their service. N Mb: If you're tired of sales pitches and want a good roof, give these guys a call. Quick, efficient, no b.s., no excuses, good job! Lowest bid without the Bull!I listened to the other 'pitches' about BBB ratings, we're rated number 1 in the nation, etc.This sales person started with "We pull the permits" instead of 'Let me show you our commercial'. Told me about flashing's instead of why I should hire them. When I sent a request for the contractor number, I received a response, without question, within 15 minutes! I'm glad I choose this company and I'd have them back first if I needed anything else done!I did have Lockhart Roofing back six years later to take care of the garage! Again impressive job. Since I had to be away, they kept me updated every step of the way! Even the job foreman called reporting the status (for board replacement and trying to keep costs down).I had already been warned it would need to be done by the sales representative (building material costs were at peak). Nothing more impressive than a foreman who feels bad he's adding to your bill, but it needed to be done.Once it was done, even the neighbors stopped by to ask who did the work. It went from something that looked like it was going to fall down to looking like a real garage! Can't thank them enough!

Upon reaching out to Lockhart Roofing, I was given a same day appointment for my roof quote. Upon arrival the salesman Gary was very professional and knowledgeable and took the time to hear my concerns. I’m happy to tell you his price quote beat the previous 3 companies. Along with the quote , I was given several options for shingles, warranty information , and a current rebate. I accepted the quote and gave my deposit, I upgraded to a more premium shingle and was more than 2000.00 less than the nearest competitor, A few days later I received a call for roof top shingle delivery, 2 days later the crew was here working on my roof. Dale Griffus: Lockhart roofing put a roof put on out house and barn. From the estimate to choosing shingles and installation their staff were very professional, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. The installation crew showed great attention to detail and were responsive to any concerns we had. They did a thorough clean up and completed the work ahead of their estimated completion time. After the job was completed they came back out for a follow up inspectionand to make sure we were happy with the completed work. Todd Grubb: Lockhart came out to look at a couple areas of concern that I had. They told me that everything looked fine and there was nothing that needed to be done with them. They also went over a couple other items that I should keep an eye on but did not recommend taking action yet. They very easily could have recommended repair work that was unnecessary but did not. I will be contacting them first for any roof issues.
Tracey Rodgerson: Lockhart installed my new roof in the Fall of 2019. I was highly satisfied with the customer service beginning with the patience in explaining the process and answering all of my questions, to the timeline-communication, installation, and site cleanup.Three years later, a mystery leak appeared in the basement. Terry came out the same day to inspect not just the roof, but also looked around the home to see what might be causing the leak since the roof showed no issues. He offered to place a cap on the plumbing vent in case the water was entering the vent and flowing back to a crack in the vent pipe. Two days later, before rain was expected, he took time out of his day and climbed on the roof and installed it.It was clear Terry understood the anxiety a leak can cause (I was kind of freaking out), and doing what he could to help his customer. Ringo Cash: So let me be clear, I have never used these guy to do any work! HOWEVER I can tell you if I needed a roof in the area I'd Definitely give them a call! Let me explain, so on 10/4/22 I was riding my motorcycle home from West branch Mi. to Clinton twp Mi. and when I just passed the exit my motorcycle died out. I started pushing it up the ramp and down the block, that's when IDEAL ROOFING came to the rescue. TWO of there guys seen me pushing and jumped out the truck pushed me into a safe spot then helped me get going again. They went as far as to even use their own money to buy me gas that they went and got without asking for anything in return! So in short anyone that cares too help out a stranger deserves a real shot and a helping hand back! Give these guys a call they will treat you with respect and go the extra mile!.

Also after calling Durolast about our warranty because we were experiencing new leaks, they pushed us to have Maxim come back which happened last week and so far, no more leaks!Original review - October 2019The organization I work for hired them and paid $150,000 to them to do new flat roofs on 2 commercial buildings in Flint and the subcontractors were verbally unprofessional with our tenants, and the owner Matt did not communicate with us about the need to raise some of our rooftop HVAC units onto curbs for proper flashing until the walkthrough on the last day of the job. I called Sheriff Goslin and a representative showed up and immediately stated I would get a new roof because of a defect in the material used. I go ahead and make the call to be told that my wife has to be present also for them to even come out? Like really? We are currently on vacation, but I was going to drive back home to meet with them. Lady on phone informs me because my wife will not be home they cannot come to appointment. There reason was because they have a lot of choices..... Even after I informed them that I make these decisions they said no. They wanted to reschedule but after they informed me that there avg. price was 47k, I was like no we can cancel. Ty but I already received a quote from a local contractor for 1/2 this and its for metal also. I understand that metal roofs costs more but come on. This is also a poor business model to require the family to be home to get estimate. Sounds very shady and more like a high pressure salesman act.

Nik, our sales rep, was professional, personable and knowledgeable. Joe, the crew lead, was also professional, personable and knowledgeable. The crew cleaned up daily after the teardown and installation. The finished installation was even better than I had hoped to have.However in the spring of 2021 a tree fell and damaged the roof. Nik was able to quickly get the insurance quote accepted and the repair scheduled. A different crew arrived, headed by Christian, who also was professional, personable and knowledgeable. The crew cleaned up daily after the teardown and installation. Like Joe, Christian explained the why and how of the work they were doing. The friendly interaction I had with the crew made for an enjoyable experience. Once again the installation was terrific.
