Another customer who called to confirm they were open showed up. If your hours are until 3 then you stay until 3. First time I ever went there and won't waste my time again. Go to Genesee Rec. They are open when they say they are.
Daniel Smith (Suchwow Gadgets): Yeah, its a no for me. Called to ask a few questions, got interrupted 5 times, was not allowed to even vocalize my question, and was hung up on. Rude. If I could give less stars I would- the customer service is absolutely and unequivocally abhorrent.

TruckerEnoch 88: To the people complaining "they're rude" or "they yelled at us", it's not their job to help you unload your scrap and when I'm waiting in line with people behind me while you take your sweet time, you have to understand why they would get angry. You're making their job more difficult and wasting mine and other customers time. There is an etiquette at scrap yards. If you have more than 1 person with you, have 1 person taking care of nonferrous metals, while the other takes care of ferrous. Don't dilly dally, it's rude to the rest of us! And grow some thicker skin! They've yelled at me before too ...but only when I first started scrapping and didn't know what I was doing.

Hayley Tambling: While the money was good, they were rude and disrespectful. They watched my boyfriend struggle to pick up two transmissions by himself, didn't even ask him if he needed help, just stood around. As he was picking up the third one, which was bigger than the first two, someone came out and sat there and watched him struggle with it for a few minutes, he eventually got help with the last one, but they could've helped him from the very beginning instead of sitting/standing around. He walked away with scratches and bruises all over his arms from struggling by himself. Also they didn't know how to give clear instructions, and got irritated when we misunderstood what they were wanting us to do. They would tell us one thing then say we were supposed to do something else instead. Unprofessional and will avoid going there again.

bryan rose: Pulled up to drop some appliances to make room on my truck and gates were closed and chained at 423pm when closing is 5pm. As a delivery driver this was an inconvenience to say the least as it took me 20 min out of my way for the yard to be prematurely closed. I like using the yard as they have fair deals an pricing on scrap but today was a let down for sure.

Greg Hannigan: It is not open on the weekends. Website says open 24 hours on the weekends But I was just there in their closed and everything's locked up. Other than that discrepancy it is a decent place to scrap metal.

Flint RiverMonster: Very polite and helpful staff. I came in looking for a rear seat for my 2010 Silverado 2500 that came to me with a drawer system in place of the rear seat. They had several according to a quick inventory search. A worker printed a list out and had another take me out to show me them. The first one was in a truck that they had already brought up to pull something else from and was in very nice shape so I decided to get that one as it was good without even checking out the others. Then they pulled the seat after I paid and had it ready for me to pull around back and pick up very quickly. I think the whole process took less than fifteen mimutes. My experience here was excellent and I will be highly recommending them to anybody I know looking for good used vehicle parts at fair prices with great service.

The man on the phone told me I'd have to drive there to pay for it I asked if I could pay over the phone and no can do. to drive to my shop to drive back the next day taking 200 miles and essentially wasting a day. They do not know how to run a business and I only hope this place is shut down soon so someone else can buy it and make a legitimate business.
Ed Ho: Top customer service, I drove 4 1/2 hours from Ohio to pick up a few things and they went out of their way so that I could bring home a couple more items that I had never ordered . they told me it would be roughly an hour wait it was less than 30 minutes, keep up the good work, hope to see you again soon🤗

A hidden gem in Flint.Office wasn't certain if the part i was after was in the yard or not but took the time to take me out to look, confirm and verify condition of the part with me before pulling.The part i was after was pulled within 10 minutes and i was out the door on my way.

Bob Miller: I'm not sure what people are complaining about F.A.R. is one of the cleanest and most organized recycling yards in Mid Michigan.. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly.This is the type of place i would send my mother or sister to and not worry about them getting taken for a ride .This is all not to mention that the owner is an upstanding guy and goes way out of his way to run a well established and organized business.When i need quality used parts i always think F.A.R. first .... All the rest are just a CUT below and charge a higher RATE.Keep up the great work FAR you guys Rock.
