South Flint Soup Kitchen: what do users think?
Arabelle Abigal: Good to the community
Michelle Maylum: You can get a free lunch Monday-Friday 11-12 and thanks to several neighbors you can usually get a few extras for dinner. Stop in and check it out.
Fame Taleb: Gotta Love your neighborhood soup kitchen
Sweetvk: Great, went to pickup my weekly extra food for me,my nephew, and my friend. They were supposed to have Easter candy but I got there late, and word of mouth had spread,so the pickings we're slim. But it was my fault, but I did get other foods. The lady helpers are always nice, and Pastor Corey Broxton had jokes as usual.I would like to send out a heartfelt,Thank You to The End Time Outreach Ministries, located at 1011 Hammond Ave,Flint,Mi 48503I told the Pastor,I will be visiting since they have in-service church now,one day soon.
Haley Peters: I had an appointment at noon for the angels closet. We got lost trying to find the place and were only 5 minutes late. We made them aware that we got lost. They told me after driving all the way there that I would have to reschedule my appointment. They already had gave me appointment up to someone else?? How did you give an appointment I made a week in advance up to someone else??? This was absolutely ridiculous. This place is supposed to be here to help people in need. Instead they just screw people over. How helpful. I didn't even want to give them one star, but in order to make a review I had to.
Katelin Maylum: Friendly staff and their volunteers go above and beyond to help their clients succeed!
Gordon Yurk: Great ministry to the needy. The finances needed for this ministry is not sustainable for the long-term operation unless new funds are received and allocated for this ministry
Myra Porter: Very nice to everyone who comes in.
Lewis Hostetler: Good food. Friendly staff.
Rebecca Metcalf: I volunteered. It went by fast and was fun.
Flord “Spodo” Jackson: Good for area
Sharon Kretzer: It is a very great place
Heather Idoni: I recently volunteered to help serve here on a Monday. They serve tasty meals 5 days a week to whoever comes in at lunchtime, I believe from 11-12. I noticed a lot of people sit with friends. There is no requirement other than just showing up at the right time! Often there is a table with free books or other reading material to take along. If you want to volunteer, arrive about 10:30 am and wear closed-toed shoes. Gloves and hairnets are provided. It is a joyful experience to be on the serving side of food prepared with love for a deserving community!
Don Erler: God bless you guys for this place...ppl would literally starve if it wernt for this place
Jasmin Mcclure: Good food
M Gonzales: A blessing in so greatfull for them
Toni Robertson: Great staff, warm free meals
Charles Crossnoe: Very good food!!
Melissa Ann: The church structure is beautiful and the hymns were old fashioned and the sermons were well articulated. But, unfortunately, the people there were never friendly to me for the two years I tried to make a home for myself there. I expressed interest in joining and the pastor failed to call me after two times of trying which made me feel unwelcome and made it so I did not feel like making any more attempts to become a member there. The congregation were never welcoming and After the services I grabbed food(in the cafeteria) they were giving out, and ate it walking back home because I was never comfortable with eating it there around anyone because they were so unfriendly and not approachable and I felt invisible. The biggest offense was the time after my mom broke her arm after attending an ash Wednesday service there and when she went to her first time service on a Sunday and went to sign the guest book to receive a free banana bread for first time visitors, I had to fill out the paper for her because of her broken arm, and the lady church secretary snapped at me that I had already gotten the (stale) bread before and she never apologized after it was explained that I was signing my mom in because of her arm.The other major offense was a time when my mom and I were sitting there in chairs in a room before a service and not one person greeted us or talked to us, and it bothered me because my mom rarely goes to church and she was treated like she was nothing.I made a review to say this bothered me on their page on Facebook and I was messaged by a guy who gave me a very tense apology but today I saw that I'm blocked on their page on Facebook. Apparently they were more offended by my being upset over how they treated my mom and I than they felt by their errors. It's too bad because they did have great sermons and music, but the unfriendly people made it hard to become a member there. The church's old charming look and old fashioned songs and wonderfully written sermons get a 5 star but the unfriendly people there knocks the stars down to 1. I'm glad they closed their unfriendly and unwelcoming church.
Jerod Gordon: They serve good food and it's a great place to hang out and meet people in the community.
Saundra McNinch: Nutritious meals with Saturday breakfast and some Sunday meals

Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties: what do users think?
Scott Jaynes: Free parking across the street.
Brenda Freeman: I had given up hope that my life would ever get any better. Somehow Misty and Mr. Griffin has made me have a little bit of hope after I gave up. They have a way of talking to you that makes you believe that everything will be okay. They do everything they can to keep you off the streets. I am so thankful to them. And Tina at the front desk if wonderful also. With everything I have going on right now I can't remember nothing. Like today for instance, not only did he make sure he took the time to wait on me himself when the front desk could've taken care of what I needed, I asked him the same question I did last week and he had no problem repeating the answer to me. When I apologized for it he came back with, don't worry about it that's what I'm here for. Then he said, if you have to call me every day to ask a question then you do that. Whatever makes you feel good. It was that simple statement and the way he said it that reassured me that everything is going to be okay. Misty is always on top of things. If I send her a email or call her and leave a message I never have to wait long for her to get back with me. Even when she is home sick she's always taking care of business.
Greg Stevens: Great place to get a lot of resources.
Warloxide: The owner of the warehouse John likes to yell at women. Next time he yells at my wife and cusses I'm gonna have to see him in person
Brandie Lynn: Really nice place and resourceful. Just super hard to get a hold of people that run any type of groups and or meetings. And if you need any counseling and or anything in that area dont even try it right now it's a 4 month wait !! Just a heads up
kristine dunn: Grief and Loss group is on Wednesday's from 4 to 5 pm, not on Tuesdays from 4-5 pm as the website indicates. I get good feedback from individuals that I support in regard to the value of this open group.
Santrayale Powers: Hands down a blessing from the Gods‼️ Misty is such a beautiful person and a great help. She has so many roles and she can do them all. If you need help with family needs, or assistance this is your place😊😊☺️❤️
Amie Kreh: I was able to get some things that I needed in addition I was able to donate and a very friendly young man was extremely helpful and helping me get my stuff out of the car into the drop off.
James: Said I qualify for help but they have no funding currently, Cindy very helpful, is sad Gov't won't fund them so they can do good work.
chris frost: She loves it there nice people
Traci Thompson: In desperate need of help.....my sub floor in bathroom is ready to fall through we are disabled an need help
Thomas Mack: I participated in one of their programs and the program did not work out and because of this I no longer participate in the program where they help you get your social security.
Douglas Coone: I may be biased as I do volunteer work for an affiliated organization. But truly, the staff here have the heart of Christ and the services offered are many. If you are in a situation and need som help, check here.
Seaun Campbell: The workers are putting aside the things they want before we can get it. I am not allowed to come until September because I got a purse I saw. I was told it was on the workers desk which it wasn't and that I plotted to get it. I've never been so humiliated before, I talked to Mary which is the boss and explained I just saw it and walked over and got it. Told her how her workers ALL gave me looks while I was being checked out and said nothing about it. BUT I came in today and was accused for it. She sided with the female worker. I told her it's her workers the one stealing not I AND should be reprimanded.. . So to ALL DONATERS KNOW YOUR ITEMS ARE NOT GOING TO US FIRST UNTIL THEY CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT. AND THEY'RE BEING ALLOWED TO SO... Their job is to place donations out on the floor for us to choose what we need and want, not for them to take FIRST. It's a shame we get treated like this from a charity organization.
Eric Robinson: Very kind and giving to the needy. Thank God. May they continue in the good works.
Stacy Boone: Great people
Erica Higgins: Love to go to the clothing closet. Open from1-3pm. They only give you 20 minutes to shop, which is not enough time especially when you have a child with you.
Tina Miller: I am getting the help I need. Anyone can as long as you accept the process.
karl ball: Lots of good clothes, and friendly staff that are willing to help those in need
Rochelle Anderson: This would be a zero if I could. I spoke with two separate people, a month apart, and they were extremely rude and would not let me finish what I would be saying. The one gentleman was arguing aggressively as he answered the phone and began being rude with me. I told him he didn't have to be so rough talking to me because I have certain issues he was triggering in my medical history and he didn't care and was even ruder. The lady today would not listen fully either and I couldn't say anything. I called the program supervisor because customer service seems to be a thing of the past at Catholic Charities. I've seen amazing service here in the past but the last few years, awful people are handling some of the most sensitive clients. The two specific people I speak of need some empathy training seriously. You could seriously cause harm for those who may be one bad conversation away from the unspeakable. You two should be ashamed of yourselves!
