Matt S: Nice little airport. You can fly a few places direct but mostly you'll have to make a connection. Has a few small stores and places to grab a drink or a quick bite to eat. Security is also typically quick with short wait lines.

Jon Gittins: I enjoy flying out of Bishop International Airport. It's a smaller airport with quick check-in and friendly TSA. I don't fly out of here as much as I used to since the flight options are limited to Chicago (and onward) and many Florida/vacation destinations with Allegiant Airlines, though it's still a generally stress-free experience.

Phil Mastin: Love the convenience of a smaller airport, but beware! They don't tell you, at least not where I could see, that the American and United ticket counters close 45 minutes before the flight. Don't think you can show up later just because it's going to be less busy than Detroit! Make sure you're there at least an hour before your flight. I showed up about 42 minutes before my departure time and there was literally nobody to check my bag and nobody to help.FYI the FAQs on the airport website say the typical, generic, "arrive 2 hours before your flight" but don't say anything about the closing of the ticket counters. The airline websites didn't say it anywhere obvious either.I hope this is helpful, as I would have made sure I was a little earlier had I known there would be zero chance of making my flight by showing up less than 40 minutes early.

Melanie Sabin: This was our first time flying out of Flint. I was very impressed. The airport is clean and updated. We flew Allegiant and from the moment we entered, to boarding the plane we did not encounter one rude employee. This was over Spring Break so the lines were long. It would have been easy to get stressed but that was not the case. The tone was very pleasant. Everyone was smiling, helpful and kind. There were even Easter decorations around the Allegiant bag check area. We will definitely be returning here.
