Soggy Bottom Bar: what do users think?
CL T: I stopped in there one day when my blood sugar was low. I only got loaded fries, $9. This is when the waitress' attitude changed. She acted like I was a street person. Extremely rude, wouldn't go again
Paul Rowlands: I recently came here for the wagyu burger that was delicious btw but I also had their nachos and I think it has negatively impacted my life. 1 hour after I had these nachos I left my wife of 7 years, abandoned my kids, sold my soul to the Devil because all I want in life are these nachos. I dug up mu grampa from his grave to tell him about these nachos. My wife asked me why I was leaving and I told her "nachyo problem". I'm thinking of changing my dog's name to Pulled Pork Nacho. Needless to say you'll see me live the rest of my days at table 14 drowning myself in nachos. 5 stars!!!
Jose Castro II: Fantastic food and drinks. Beautifully stocked bar and decor. Some tables may be tight for parties of three or more. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Aaron Hamann: Best burgers around. Loaded nachos are great as well. Cool old school atmosphere.
Denise Golden: It's a very nice place and they have very good food the people are very nice and friendly you would really enjoy it
Darby Stimac: Great burger and fries. Worth the drive.
Kimberly Glover: This was my first time going.. The burgers and French fries are amazing. I highly recommend.
Shannan Thomas: Fun atmosphere..parking leaves something to be desired ..like space.. college to middle aged crowds I guess.. staff is friendly and place is clean ..kinda loud so don't expect to have a quiet dinner where you can talk to your date or friends without kinda yelling..
Wayne Willhelm: Great time!! Good cozy bar to unwind..
Jane Honea: Great food, great service.
Frank A.: Popular, crowded place.Get there early on Tuesdays to get a seat for the entertainment.Typical bar food.
Eop Music: The best in Flint. Go see Andy, a great bartender!
Franchezka Thornton: The atmosphere is awesome! It's a great melting pot spot with live music on Tuesdays! Grab a Long Island Ice Tea! The perfect drink to loosen up.
Angela Stallworth: I love the atmosphere, the customer service, and above all the food and drink selection!!! I've made it a personal goal to try everything!! I promise the food and drinks will not disappoint, definitely recommend!!
noel saxton: Gone way downhill. Food is extremely inconsistent lately and my recent service experience was enough to make me never go back. It’s a shame because it was by far the best place in the city.
Jim Blake: Nice place. The food was good, and the service was, as well.
Helynn Mitchell: Just a nice place to enjoy friends and listen to music.
Krystle Thorn: I just love Downtown Flint. Soggy bottom is a hidden gem. They have a great selection of beer and cocktails. Oh, and try the black bean nachos. A+!!!!
David Allyn: Food was very good.
Santrayale Powers: I really love the atmosphere, the drinks was the way I asked‼️ strong 😁🤣 and the food was great 💞
chelsea: Great food and drinks! My favourite place. Great environment, great events, great people.

Simmer Rooftop Lounge: what do users think?
April Winkowski: It was nice eating outside...nice apps
Darin Cates: A great spot for some food and drinks!
David P: Had a nice time there for my class reunion. The staff was nice and made sure we had everything we needed. They were also nice about a few of us staying past closing time.
John Creasey: Fantastic! Great bartender
Kevin Chatfield: Hidden Gem in the City of Flint!!
Marcie Harrington: Really pricey, kitchen was down. Nice view, nice sunshine though
Ross Sampson: this was phat!! great experience in Flint!!
Joel Arnold: Best view Downtown. Amazing location. Drinks are a bit more expensive than other Downtown locations, but the view makes it worth it. They do need to add markers in the elevators so that guests know it is on the *sixth* floor, but besides that it's an amazing space!
Damon Redmond: This rooftop lounge is adding to the city in a big way. The view is amazing; and even better when the sun goes down. The staff was absolutey!!!!! amazing. I will definitely be back. Everyone from the main door to the rooftop is what will help bring people back downtown! Great service.
DavenKelly Polehna: Food and drinks were delicious! A bit too pricey though! Good service.
Daniel Roman: Good overall dining experience. Food portions were a bit lite even for small plates but were of good quality and taste.
Erik Varney: Rooftop view of downtown. A view I imagine hasn't been shared in quite some time. Attentive service with house specialty drinks and stocked bar. Small plates are a great starter and portioned right for a couple cocktails before a proper dinner. Prices are in line or comparable with neighborhing establishments.

Timothy's Pub: what do users think?
Tami White: Fantabulous burgers mm mmm mmmm
Bridget Stafford: Classic neighborhood pub with excellent burgers, great service, plenty of TVs, and lots of bar games. The surrounding area has seen better days, for sure, but give it a try. Back in the day, this neighborhood was hopping with thousands of shop rats making some of the biggest paychecks in town. That Timothy's is still open today says a lot.

Burger 🍔 was cooked just right (med rare) and the chips 🍟 crunchy. The Diet Plate was a gob of cottage cheese, Tuna, tomatoes 🍅, celery and 🥕 Stix. Place was busy and enjoyed the atmosphere.
Kelly Rodgers: Teresa and her team absolutely 💯 rock! The atmosphere and food are awesome! Everything is delicious, fresh, quality, house made and affordable. It was the best burger! specifically the patty melt, it really was outstanding! Im even addicted to their house made ranch and chips! To avoid the madness, we celebrated my moms st Patty's day birthday one day early and had the best time and the best food!! 501 Bar and Grill: what do users think?
Ostiva Pouilte: Every time i come here they’re always so nice and the waitresses are very attentive! The spinach dip IS THE BEST THING ON THE MENU! 10 out of 10 must try again. The fish tacos are amazing as well. (If you like fish) also they’re lemon drops are sensational. The fried green tomatoes are good too! I would recommend 501 for a bite whether you’re dining in or on the go.

Vanilla Bean: We have literally been sitting here waiting for our food, including our appetizers, for almost a hour. Then when we inquired about our food, she came to our table yelling at us and that wasn’t cool. People looking at us while the waitress was yelling at us too. She claim she was waitressing more tables than everyone else was. But the women sitting next to us had a good waitress. It was a ton of people who came in after us, got their food and left the restaurant. We got tired of waiting and went to the bar to pay for our lemonades. We explain to the bartender that we never received our food not even our appetizers and she replied, Oh well, you should’ve came to tell me maybe I could have done something about it . Now, what could a bartender do about a waitress not bringing our food to our table???Just disappointing our waitress never came back to say oh do you guys need a refill to update us on the status are of our appetizers or our food so we just decided we weren’t going wait for our food any longer because there’s no possible way that other people are walking in after us and leaving and we’re still sitting here waiting for our food.My sister ordered soup. How long does it take for a chef to cook soup?? You don’t have to worry about me I won’t be back and you probably should worry about why you’re on the health department list for not having a clean kitchen✌🏻

Torch Bar and Grill: what do users think?
Jonathan Sedlar: Had a great burger and tots for lunch. I look forward to returning to for food and drink in the future.Nice atmosphere, and the staff was pleasant. My tab for lunch was just over 8 dollars!
Chuck Gurden: One of the best burgers you'll ever experience in one of Flint's most unique establishments. 👍😁❤️
shagNwagon: Best Burger I have had in a long time
Matthew Kahn: Best burger around.
Gary Ganssley: Great food, great beer, great bartender!
Jackson Lemmon: Absolute best burger around. Cheap draft beers, right downtown but it's off the bricks down the alley.
Zach Naif: Terrible bar the worst I've been to. I got an angry orchard and there was a nasty rust ring around the top of the bottle. I asked for a glass and got a dirty glass coverd in fingerprints. Then I had ordered a plain backen cheese burger and got a fully loaded one. The waitress noticed and offerd to take it back and when she did I over heard them complain about me and the food being remade when she offered it to me. The burger tasted like cheep beef and or was sub par I gave 2 stars because the frys where good. Would not ever recommend this bar to anyone.
Dennis Farney: What a hidden gem. Coming straight from a funeral with some family, we needed some distraction and levity. Our server Kayla was an absolute blast and kept our spirits high. Great food, absolute fire beer list, and the price is right. While we aren’t from Flint, I know exactly where I’ll go every time I visit family. Thank you so much for helping us out in a time of need, and thank you for being awesome!
Marlon Carbone: Nice dive vibe
Ian Davis: Incredible burger
Jeremy Stephens: It's a nice small bar in downtown Flint, MI. I was pleasantly surprised. Burger was great. Onion rings were crispy and cheap beer prices.
Joe P.: I loved the torch when I was in college so I was excited to take my family there. We arrived shortly before lunch and the 2 guys working turned us away because our party was too large. The place was empty (only 2 other people) and they said because they were short staffed and it was almost lunch rush so they couldn't make our food. Okay, how are you going to make food for the "lunch rush" if you can't handle making food for 10 people when the place is dead??Whatever, just proves that nostalgia makes you blind I guess. We won't be back.
Kelsie Irrer: A flint classic. One of the best places in town to get a burger
Jaime Portillo: Update... Myself and my wife came back and the food and drinks were great. Different staff than the last time and this may have been the driver behind the great service. But the Torch redeemed itself in my head. Well be back soon!have been a long standing, faithful customer of the Torch for years. I have always stood by and considered their burgers, best in Genesee County. It had been since July since we stopped in and decided to grab a burger. Very much night and day from our previous experiences. We sat by the stairwell leading towards the bathroom due to limited seating and during our meal, could smell the restroom stench the entire time. We were bothered by knats the entire time and our meals that had been phenomenal in the past were very subpar. Our burgers, ordered at medium rare were partially raw and the fries were overcooked. The wings were in fact still good as well as our drinks. For those two items, we gave the two stars. Would definitely go back but not in the near future until better housekeeping is done and better consistent food prep.
CTL: Excellent hamburgers and homemade french fries.
Jeff Stancroff: The Torch Bar and Grill is the quintessential hole in the wall bar, since it is tucked away in Buckham Alley you likely won't find it unless you are told about it. If you go you will find a relatively small bar that has very good service and one of the best bar burgers around. If you are into supporting local business this is a great stop for you.
Thomas Mullins: Good food
David Sands: As some background information, I've never been to a bar before even though I'm of age, and my friend highly recommended this place to me. She hyped me up on it for 3 days (we didn't realize they closed on Mon/Tue).Today we got there and I was into the vibe, it wasn't crowded or noisy., just some background chatter and comfortable music. We ordered drinks and food, while I suddenly realized I should check if the bar takes tap to pay or would allow me to enter in my card information to pay. The waitress informed us that neither are possible and while me and my friend tried to figure out options to pay, I left $20 dollars with the waitress to just cover as much as I can in the meantime, before we even finished are first drinks or got our food.We shortly left to go get cashback or find another option, when returning to the bar we were told that the waitress dumped our drinks out (claiming we drank "well over half of them" while, for mine that was true, there was over 2/3 of the other glass full. We ordered another round, and received our food that was rock cold. After paying the bill in full, and tipping a low amount, the waitress Kayla B. proceeded to run out in to the alley and scream at us about tipping so poor even though we supposedly "ran out on the tab" (that we paid). She also told us to "never come back". Which is probably the case.I was disappointed in the quality of care from the waitress, but due to the circumstances I can't speak much to the quality of the food (it was cold and old, and the waitress gave no option to reheat or had any care whatsoever for our stay.)Beer was beer, tasted fine. I have no real complaints about anything as I can tell, but this review wouldn't even be posted if it weren't for the unprofessional and rude waitress.
Bomber “Bomber” Bash: Probably the best dive bar in all of Michigan! Hidden in a alley and with a cool view and super amazing vintage bar.You feel like you have travelled back in time. Solid menu options, will cook the burger super rare, cold beer, and varied selection of alcohol. It is well used but clean and sweet vintage bathrooms. Staff is friendly and interactive! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!
christopher everson: The classic Downtown Flint bar! Friendly staff and a proper Pont of Guinness!!
Will Fuller: Classic burgers, tasty apps, and generous portions. Old school, small town bar and grill feel. Best prices for quality food downtown. Friendly staff and regular clientele.

Godswife1222: Perfect
Zachary Lemoine: Great place! Went for the first time last night to see the Drag show. Staff were very kind and attentive, show was amazing, and the fries were very good. Had a great time.
Nothing Nowhere: Had a great time here, awesome staff and food. Get the French fries if you go.
Cameron Tower: Fantastic clean safe bar and lounge with great prices for food and drinks. Hosting fun exciting and safe events for the lgbtq people in the flint area. Wish they had the option for an extra 5 stars for Tatiana the best waitress.
Kyle Clear: Great service, shout out Tatiana
Barb Guzman: Such a great time! Clean, friendly atmosphere and great wait staff! Drag show on Sundays is such a fun experience!
Austin spishak: This place is the best!! And our waitresses Tatiana and drag nights are my favorite!
Marcel Cintron: Great place to visit on a Thursday night. The food was good. I ordered the whiskey burger and shared the fries. Karaoke was interesting, to say the least. But they were brave/confident enough to get up there. More than I can say for myself.
Renee Back: Best bar ever! Now that they've added Pride nights it's even better- who doesn't love a drag show and karaoke????
Satyana Pitts: Awesome. The bartenders are nice and they do the best they can. The atmosphere is pretty comfortable and entertaining, good for the whole family (18+) I recommend this place to anyone that loves to sing because that stage is serious. Hopefully we can keep this one around, it's up to us not them.
Jowanne Carrigan: Great atmosphere! Mature audience. Loved the comedy and karaoke. I will return
Connie White: First time here and this place is freakin cool as s*it!! Very clean.....The stage is like a larger, professional venue would have.....they also have karaoke! Met the owner, he was cool to talk to about his own love for karaoke too. He literally kept it afloat during covid shut downs.....with his own money. Definitely a place set up for live music.....plenty of space to dance too. ✌️🎶💫💞
sonya hines: The karaoke was good but later on in the evening the atmosphere was a little too young for me and I'm not a rap person so it wasn't really enjoyable but for the most part it was okay.
Sally Anne Hull: I love my JW's family
Marvin Diem: Very reasonable drink prices
Richard Fay: It was my first time going there last night. It is the best all around establishment in the area! Sound is awesome the stage makes all the karaoke people feel as if they are the next star. its great staff is one of a kind i will be going here for a long time to come.
Amanda Ellis: Very cool place. Went for late night drinks and service was great and drinks too. Karaoke is a hit
Shareka Badon: I be having so much fun I hope people don't mess it up for others
Matthew Charles: Good night club
LaShonda Cleveland: Was too crowded for my taste but I still enjoyed myself and I got to sing 1 song, well my friends made me sing at least 1 song lol.
Carllotta Ferguson: Always friendly good service good variety of music 🎶 🎵 👍

Churchill's Food and Spirits: what do users think?
Dill: Updating my review. How the mighty have fallen. The food is good, but they do not observe basic allergy prep rules. They fry everything in the same oil as the fish. Strike one. The selection is still good, but I'm questioning it now. We stopped in today and they absolutely water their liquor. And they served the wrong liquor on top of watering it down. We ordered Don Julio 1942 shots. Waitress brought out what she said was Julio blanco. It was straight water. Told waitress, she said they just opened the bottle. I honestly didn't know spring mountain made tequila. But hey, it was smooth. Strike two. Then the shot cost half the price of the bottle. Strike three. We won't be coming back."The whiskey selection is the best I've ever seen. The food is very tasty, with pretty good prices. The staff is amazing. The only reason it doesn't have five stars is because the live music is always terrible. Not the bands. The sound system is atrocious. Either because it's mixed poorly or just the room. Everything else makes it the best place in flint."Returning to this review 3rd year in a row. Hasn't improved. Luckily there's better options nearby now.

X: what do users think?
Mallory Froman: Cool little speak easy. Awesome vibes. Awesome place to hang with friends.
Julie Vaughn: Cocktails are great and creative.Atmosphere is awesome!!Speakeasy in Flint!! Love it
Joel Arnold: Appreciate them being in Flint, but they need reliable hours. Walked in at 11:45 on a Saturday with some folks from out of town and hours said they were open until 1. They said then they were just closing then so had to go somewhere else. Very frustrating, especially when bringing folks who are new to Flint out. I’d love to come back if I knew when they’d be open, but right now it seems pretty unreliable.
The Models Bag: Very Classy hideaway!
Shay Davis: Loved everything here!
Nic Gilskey: Awesome little Speakeasy. First off, for first timers like we were, it is a little hard to find. When you are looking at Xolo straight on, you should see an "X" with an arrow pointing to the right. Follow that around the outside of the building and you should see another X over a non-descriptive entrance. Ring the doorbell, there is no password to worry about. You'll hear a click when the door unlocks for you. Look for another X with an arrow, it basically takes you through the back hallways, and you'll go a little further than you think you should. It basically spits you out at the backside of Xolo (could you just walk in through Xolo? Probably. But it's more fun to go the back route). There's a bookshelf tucked into the side, you'll push on that and be in (the Xolo staff is friendly and helpful and will direct you in if you have any problems finding it). Ok, review portion. There's maybe 4 places in downtown Flint that I know of and have tried that are serving cocktails in the $12-14 range: Simmer, Sauce, Cork on Saginaw, and here (although ours here were really $11 and $12). Out of all of those, these cocktails were the best. My date and I each had 2 cocktails and they were all superlative. The one that stuck out for me was La Pistola, a mezcal drink with green chartreuse, lime and muddled jalapeno. It was balanced, wasn't spicy like some drinks I've had that were similar conceptually, just a nice smokiness from the mezcal and a crisp peppery finish. I've seen other reviews mention food, it seems like it's cocktails only right now which is totally fine by me and more my expectation of a speakeasy.
Kayleigh Jade: Nice vibe. Delicious old fashioned. Fast service.
Logan: Couldn't find entrance ran doorbell nothing
Flint Raised: The best place to have a drink in Flint... Matthew the bartender is awesome and knowledgable. The vibe is big city speakeasy.
Steve Obrzut: Best bar in town. Try the old fashioned.
Tom W: Drinks are just ok. No food. Too busy for the amount of staff they had (they were hustling to keep up but couldn’t, so nothing against them). The concept is cool but the speakeasy in fenton kills this one by far
Jacob Yambrick: Love the entrance stepS. It’s fun and makes me feel like I have some secret knowledge!
Lori McDaniel-Whitmire: Flint's greatest secret. Love this bar. Great atmosphere, cocktails and music
Hannah DeHaven: Drinks were okay, it's more presentation than anything but the food was amazing. It was pretty quiet and the way they have the secret entrance doesnt quite make sense so people get confused and pull rather than push.
Anonymous Person: Lucky to have given a star at all! We came in Friday night super excited to be there, we sat down at the bar 5 minutes no acknowledgment!, we thought maybe because both bartenders were busy, but then another group walked in and got greeted, as soon as they hit the door. Very stereotyped and will never will recommenced this place ever!!!
Adam Goulet: Quite secluded, very intimate, with amazing service. Bartenders are really quite knowledgeable about all products and cocktails.
Erik Varney: Second visit after a less than stellar first visit. Second visit the bar was less than a quarter full. Disappointing Expectations are high as I personally want it to be successful. My choice cocktail presentation and taste was good. Beer selection is limited along with limited knowledge of the breweries. Ordering a specialized cocktail that is not on the menu can be a challenge.
Matt Anderson (Funcrusher573): Amazing!!
Chris Channell: Drinks are a little pricey but very good. Not exactly what I would call a speakeasy but still cool.
Michael Donegan: Great selection of spirits and cocktails. They really put an effort into making superb drinks. When it's busy here expect to wait some time for service, but it's worth it.
Steve Nicholls: Fantastic little "speakeasy" nicely hidden in downtown Flint. I absolutely LOVE the entry method. its definitely one of a kind. I wont spoil it by giving the details, but I can definitely say its worth checking out. Curiosity made my wife and I stop by to check out the "Xperience" and wow! all I can say is you definitely need to check this place out.
