Best Traditional American Restaurant Flint Near Me

Katrina Price: I have never done this before but this was just unacceptable. When I first arrived, I realized the menus were not in English. That was fine but they didn’t have any alternative menu options. Using Google translation other guest and I tried to look it up ourselves, we didn’t get very far. The waitress was kind enough to explain a little. When it was time to give our orders we were told they were out of most items, that was upsetting but I still gave it a chance. The food came out at odd gaps of time and had zero flavor. I became sick and unable to consume it. When it came time for the check my meal was $28… I had water. I expressed that I was willing to pay but the food made my stomach upset and that has never happened before. I was told there was nothing they could do (she had an attitude). The bill took 20 minutes and I was able to get it reduced. In all I won’t be going back, slick comments were made and the prices don’t reflect the quality.

Alyvia Bombe: It was terrible. I don’t think I have ever written a review in my life because I have never felt the need but our server was Rude from the beginning. When she brought out everyone’s bill she forgot mine and when I said something about it she had an attitude. But even if we had a different server wouldn’t have mattered because the food had zero flavor and they were out of a lot of food and almost all the desserts except cheesecake which wasn’t good ether :( really disappointed was super excited but am never going back.

Ross Burdette: Food was great. Enjoyed the bruschetta and Italian eggs benedict. The service is terribly slow, so only go if you have close to 2 hours to eat (reservation for 12 and didn't leave until close to 2). There were only a few other tables seated at the time, as well.

Joel Arnold: Since this place opened in 2020, they've shown some real improvement and have become a great spot downtown. Service can still be a bit slow, but they do a great brunch and are one of the only places downtown that has brunch every single Saturday and Sunday. Devan Miller: Steak and eggs was worth every dollar, perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly how I like it on the first try. Breakfast potatoes were perfectly golden and crunchy. I’ll be bringing my wife back for a dinner date sometime soon. It looked like they had a good wine selection as well. Staff was super helpful and friendly as well.

Perfectly portioned and great fresh fruit that was perfectly ripe on the side… there is no Eggs Benedict in Flint, I’m glad I found this place to satisfy my cravings!

Sandra Richmond: Stop on our way home from up north. The food here is yummy. The place was packed and unfortunately unorganized. The hostess was confused about people in line to get put in line for a table. And kept taking people in front of others. Finally, I got to put our name in for a table and said it was 30 min wait and wanted our number to text us and would call us out by name when we get a table too. Sat in front of the fireplace over an hour. Finally went up and asked, and she was confused? Said it be a minute. Sat back down and the manager saw us sitting there and asked if we had been helped. We told her they looked us up and said they had called us twice. I looked at the hostess and said no you did not !"" The manager realized that no one contacted us either and got us a table. The waitress who served us was friendly and took care of us. Womens Bathroom floor was sticky. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

F C: Went here one night - because it was the only place open at the late hour. The food is so overpriced and tasteless . They don't even have homemade ranch . I don't know how this disgusting place stays in business. They were clearly understaffed - which wasn't the fault of the waitstaff - but they weren't apologetic for the long waits in between check ins and refills. Literally though the worst Coney Island I've ever been to. How are you going to charge $9 for a Pita that doesn't even come with fries or real ranch? C'mon. Get with the times Mega and stop being greedy. Lower your prices, get better quality food and stop serving Walmart brand ranch to your customers !!!!!

Person who answered the phone, rude. The person inside who took my order could not comprehend my family's order Aagain, okay...whatever. After I ordered my food and seated by the door to wait. While waiting, I observed the waitstaff interactions with customers.At one time, a customer called requesting to speak with the manager about a to go order that was messed up. Well, "Manager Paige" was just as guilty as the rest of cooks and waitstaff as she rolled her eyes while "listening" to the customer. Another employee asked her "what was that call about? " "Manager Paige" said "her chicken salad had onions, when they she said no onions." Then Paige grumbled, rolled her eyes and said: "I dont know why they couldn't just pick the onions out."Allergies, Paige! You should have known that being a "Manager" and all.One star simply because they need a serious crash course in working with the public and obviously new management.

Andy Mcmillin: Unfortunately i dont think they will last long :( eggs were so overcooked went from over easy. To cooked more than over hard. McDonald's style hash browns. If i wanted fast food i would have went to McDonald's. Coffee was maxwell house. Not good. And getting a refill was almost impossible. And no real coffee cream. So overall nothing was good except the cooks attitude was very nice and friendly.

Ashley Jones: The best experience I've EVER had at a diner. Delicious food, cool atmosphere and AMAZING waitstaff. I work 3rd shift in the ICU and my night was terrible. I went to breakfast feeling defeated and exhausted. Adam warmly welcomed me in. He was so compassionate and kind. He made me a delicious breakfast that was hot and ready in a few minutes. He literally turned my entire day around. That dude deserves a raise!!!

Joe McCormick: Ordered the grilled cheese burger with fries and a pop. Grilled cheese burger was 2 pieces of Texas toast, with a slice of cheese, with a hamburger on top of the cheese with a slice of cheese on the burger. Not sure the cook knew how it was made before, previously it was 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with the cheese burger in between. Fries were a little over down. My group of 3 people each reached the food at different times. Seemed only the 2 cooking food were there, trying to do everything, so service was a little slow, but not horrible. They were doing all they could.

Kyle Price: This is a hidden 💎 in Flint Michigan and for more reasons than just some of the VERY BEST cuisine you can find or imagine, and even the water is made from scratch lol, I challenge you to find better eating anywhere, in the State or maybe country, Krystal Jo's should be a stop on Dinner drive ins and dives.

Great country omelette, freshly made home style hash browns and the bread must be made in house because my toast was huge! lol. I enjoyed the small intimate atmosphere, as everyone was able to participate in the various conversations. Just don't drop the f bomb or Tony will inform you, that word is not cool there. So I told him I'll substitute Dude instead.....lol

Kailyn Atwell: We came in on a Thursday night around 9:30 because we were on a long day trip. Apparently Thursday is karaoke night.... there is nowhere in the whole place that you can hold a conversation while this is going on because it's SO LOUD. Like you can't talk across the table loud.We were exhausted and it was late so we stayed anyways hoping to get in, eat, and leave. It was a seat yourself situation, and it was a good while before the one waitstaff member came over. He got a drink order from us and left before asking if we had any menu questions. I have a severe fish and seafood allergy. The fryers had fish, so all fried foods were out. When the waiter showed back up with drinks about 15 mins later, I explained my allergy and asked if the burgers had worstcheshire sauce (which has anchovies). He gave me the "one minute" finger and scoffed before walking away. Well, turns out the burgers do have worstcheshire sauce. So I ordered a calzone.... he informed me that the pizza oven gets shut off at 9. At this point it's almost 10. The menu DOES NOT mention that. So I change again to Mac n cheese.... guess what, also in the pizza oven. At this point we scratch the whole food order and ask for the bill.All in all, we spent about 45 minutes in an obnoxiously loud environment. We were treated poorly and left hungry. I was generous and gave 2 stars because I didn't try the food.
