Brian Hobson: Dort Transmission is the only place I'll take my vehicles for internal trans work. The owner is a nice guy and is great to do business with. He's been in the business for a very long time and is excellent at his trade. Let's face it, trans work is typically expensive but it's necessary, so if you want someone to look at your vehicle without having to worry about the place taking advantage of the criticality of transmission function, then this is your place to go, no question.

Marcena Owens: Dropped my truck off on a Thursday and was told they were 3 weeks behind but they would have it in the air on Monday and by Tuesday we would hear what the issue was and how much. (shouldve never said that if they couldnt do it or at least communicate during that time frame that it wasnt gonna happen) But by Wednesday still no call from them so my husband called and they had not looked at it because they wanted my husband to come look at the amount of mud that was caked on so we would understand why we were going to be charged the $ we would be charged for clean up. My husband had to work so he couldnt go. So on Thursday I called to find out where they were with the job. When Chuck got on the phone the conversation went like this "Hello this is Chuck". "Hi Chuck Im calling to find out about my husbands truck. You guys have had it for a week now and Im just wondering when it will be done and how much its gonna be". then he said "Its got alot of mud caked under there and its gonna be alot of work to get that cleaned up in order to take that pan off to look at at it" I then asked "so you havent even looked at it yet ?" Chucks immediate response was "Ya know what I think Ill do Ill just let the truck down and you can come and get it" Rather than explaining it to me over the phone he made me come and get my truck. I said ok and found a ride and went to pick it up. When I arrived He told me it had been on the hoist for 4 days. I explained to him that we have jobs that we need to get to and we were missing work due to not having the transportation. He said "I was 3 weeks behind when you dropped it off" He should have never taken the job and shouldnt have told us by Monday/Tuesday if he couldnt do it then. He said it as if it were my fault they took it in when they were behind. Maybe he should hire more help. If you want quick service dont go here. He wasted a week of our time with ZERO results and now we are still without a vehicle and have to find somewhere else to take it. This was my first time there and I will never go back. Unprofessional and really inconsiderate of their customers. Not everyone has the luxury of working out of their residence like they do some of us have to commute to work and need transportation to do so. 2 thumbs down from me and Im sure they will comment something snarky on here since my review is negative. seems to be a theme for them. Just know they do not have the best interest of the customer in mind. One review they even say themselves they didnt want the persons business ...seems to me like you would want all the business you can get but thats just me.
