Aisha Changezi: Clean environment, nice collection of inventory and most of all, best customer service. The couple who run the business are so kind and generous, you hardly see that around these days! If you’re looking for something special, let them know. They will be more than happy to bring it for you. I highly recommend them! Oh btw, they make fresh bread too!!

M Smith: Hands-down the best specialty grocery store in the Flint area - not taking anything away from other local stores, such as Kamil's, which has some great sandwiches made to order. I have found the owners at Sinbad's especially helpful. I've asked questions about meals I want to make, and he (the owner) has always taken his time to walk around the store with me and help me buy the right ingredients and explain how to cook them. Sometimes he offers advice that I didn't ask for, and that leads to incredible results, often with just a few simple suggestions. More than once, I've tried to describe a mid-eastern or eastern Mediterranean dish I've had, and Sinbad's always has come through with great advice. (I'm a white guy, born and raised in Flint and of western European ancestry, so I'm a novice with food from that part of the world.) It's worth a quick trip from I-75 if you're passing through town. If you're lucky enough to stop by when they have homemade bread on the counter, you'll shop there whenever you get the chance. First class operation!

Khadija Qureshi: The store was super clean and very well organized. This is the first ever halal meat store which had a fragrance in its air unlike other stinky meat shops. The owner is very friendly and polite and bakes delicious fresh bread. You can find a diverse range of Indian, Pakistani, and Arabic sweets and masalas here. It was a wonderful experience and I am delighted to have found a halal meat and grocery shop in the vicinity of my home. The parking is ample too. I highly recommend this business.

CJ Sum: Magdy was soooo friendly! I pass by this store all the time and Finally decided to stop and when I tell you the pita bread from this place is absolutely amazing. They have the strawberry banana juice it was so delicious that I literally had to go back and buy several more for later. I also purchased pre-seasoned chicken to put on the grill and it was seasoned to Perfection threw it on the grill & made a chicken & bacon pita with pepper jack cheese and used Ghughes sweet chili sauce. Yummy!!!!! My new go to spot!

Angela Stallworth: This is one of my favorite places to visit!! I love the staff and the customer service. This market has all my favorite foods and ingredients!! They have filipino seasonings, sauces, and spices to make all my traditional dishes. You can also find kimchi, noodles of various kinds, and vegetables such as bean sprouts and bitter melon. Definitely recommend!!

My only complaint is the parking situation which makes me a bit anxious when coming and leaving, but that’s really not unusual in this area and I can’t fault the establishment itself for it.

And the price on some frozen dumplings. Good God. But that's everywhere. He's nice and doesn't make me feel like I'm stared at it don't belong. And he had a good ramen selection

David Green: Small, but great shop if you're a fan of Korean food and want something authentic, or something that other local grocery stores won't carry. Their kimchi is also very tasty, and they have a rather calm, gentle cat. Great little place!

Rea Harris: Great place to get some healthy food and alternative medicine. But if you not a certain type of Caucasian person or non Caucasian person. The employees stare and follow you the entire time you in the store. It's sad that in this year I have to look up at the manager looking at me waiting to see if I'm going to check out or not. But other than that. Great place!!!
Cabrina Blessing: -1 star bc pricey. Wish this store was bigger. Everything is natural/organic. Carrying products I can usually only find at Whole Foods or Amazon. LOTS of different clean brands.Small fresh veggie/fruit stand. Couple of freezers. Couple aisles of dry goods. Baby, women's, and men's products. Laundry, cleaning, and dog products. Supplements. Deli market in the back corner. And a special order station in the front corner.
Sergio Christopher: Place is expensive and the staff well let’s just say they are not intelligent. I order online now where I don’t get ripped off with high prices. Also ordered premade food and sharp plastic pieces were in the food. They didn’t replace the meal cause they never answer the phone.

The wife asked her to cut her speaker phone off, which she did. The husband the rudely told her "NO SERVICE FOR YOU TODAY", when she asked why he told her it was because she was on her phone IN THE STORE, not at the check out. My sister tried to find a solution and was told not to argue with him ( she wasn't arguing, she was just asking when this became a policy) and was put out of the store! We have been longtime customers for years, I stopped shopping here before the pandemic because the husband and wife have horrible energy and customer service skills, and the husband doesn't was his hands well and I have an autoimmunedisease...the Sister (who is an amazing cook) has always been friendly and helpful, and they brought their son in to try and help as well but alas the owners make this place unwelcoming. I am so glad that Flint now has Sweet Peaces, The Local Grocer, and other healthy food options so people won't feel stuck going places where their business isn't valued.
