Hope Network Center for Recovery - Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Ginger Strayer: Well I learned something today about hope network at the end of the day I'm just a drug addict that has to be their puppet or I don't get my medication even though they are the ones that messed up. How can you refuse or deny someone something that they're dependent on like it's no big deal over your mistake
Norman Centala: I drove 5 hours and paid but got nothing because of benzos in my system which I stopped taking week ago.they said they would call back but they didn't. I seen dr smith in the early year but discontinued because I had the problem under control now I'm back on the streets .getting them .they only want to bill your insurance .I'm very dissatisfied with this place and would not reccomend it to anybody.nothing wrong with hiring ex addicts but they dont do their job.THANK YOU DR SMITH .
Alyssa Wilson: Firstly, my boyfriend called Westbrook inquiring about an appointment in the near future. They were able to schedule him in the very next day. Couldn't be more pleased. My boyfriend and I traveled five hours just so he could attend his appointment. Staff at the recovery center seemed helpful and polite, we had no issues at all. All young ladies were working the desks and front; they were doing a fabulous job. They worked hard and efficiently. I recommend Westbrook to anyone seeking help; It truly seems like the nurses care about helping you.
Jimmy Reil: Worst clinic i have ever been too they are only there to take ur money not to help with ur addiction. They had kicked me out the clinic after months of prescribing a drug they knew was very addictive. They did not even wean me off the medivation so i ended up in the hospital but they still kept my 10p dollars. Again this is not a place that is there to help with ur addiction this is a place full of money hungry docters who could care less about ur well being. I stronglt recommend finding a different clinic that is there to work with you through you addiction and not just looking to fill there wallet. This docter had no concern about what would happen to me after i left so i ended up in the hospital because these docters dont know the effects suboxone has on a person and how addictive it truly is i was nvr told about the come down of this medication i had to find out myself and i will tell you its 100 times worse than withdrawal from any other drug. Plz take this advice and do not let these doctors do what they did to me. Everyone in this clinic should feel horrible for wat they do to people they are not there to help they are there to make there wallets thicker from your suffering completly unprofessional.
NightyniteSucka: Phenomenal staff! Very professional and helpful.
Dennis Casey: Don't get fooled! This practice is terrible and views their patients as $ and NOTHING more. I think it says a lot that most insurance companies will not carry them as providers.I'm in Greenville and when I relocated here from Northern Michigan, Westbrook was one of the only practices around that was accepting new Suboxone patients. Basically, I had little choice in becoming a patient if I wanted to continue my Suboxone treatment. After 6 years of being a patient and having spent thousands of dollars on treatment at Westbrook, I ran into some financial trouble and was having trouble paying the $95 monthly office visit. I was told by the office manager that my long term commitment to their office meant nothing and that they were not in the business of helping 'financial hardship cases' and that I should find another provider (at issue was fact that I had to miss an appointment because I was unable to pay the $95 fee at the moment. By the time I was able to afford it, I was over their 45day time limit and therefore had to be considered a new patient and pay $280 new patient fee plus an extra $95 for additional visit. Mind you, I had never ran out of Suboxone nor missed any dosing and again, had been a patient for over 6 years). So to boil it down, because I had gone a few days over their 45 day policy, they were trying to squeeze me for an extra $280. The office manager had the audacity to try telling me that government regulations dictated that their policy be as such. Lol!Over the years, I've watched the practice become a Suboxone clearing house. They churn out 100's of patients per month at a minimum of $95 per patient (office visit fee has increased steadily too. When I began, an office visit was $80). They've grown from Dr Baker plus 1 Physician Assistant (PA) to five or 6 PAs, each writing dozens of Suboxone scripts per day, obviously highly profitable. As far as I was able to gather, the practice gives back ZERO to the community, offering NO help financially, regardless how long you've been a patient, regardless of how little impact it would have on their bottom line. They're just substituting one drug for another. Suboxone is just as addictive (and withdrawal just as severe) as any other opioid and they know it. 100s (perhaps more) of dedicated Suboxone-dependent junkies, not a bad racket, eh?!?Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Somewhere they care about you as a patient, and not just about size of your wallet. Find a practice that will help you to wain off of opioids, versus just pushing another.
Michael McCloskey: Dr. Weston is really cool. very down to earth and really excited to be helping you.
Steven Malenka: I see different doctors every once and a while, and they're all nice as can be and the receptionists are friendly and polite.
Dennis Black: I see Dr. Baker & he has been excellent! Can't say enough about how helpful he has been.

Sanford Behavioral Health at Cherry Street: what do users think?
Jen Cetnar: Wonderful experience! Top notch staff. A whole new approach to treatment.
Jane Doel: Horrible experience. I should have reported the mistreatment I had received while there to the owner however she never came around after she had gotten me admitted into the program. She was great when first meeting with her and made me feel like she really cared about me and told me she would check in with me frequently and stop by but then once I signed everything and settled in Rae (the owner) never came back to see me at all or check in on me- like all she cared about was getting me in there and gaining profit from me. Even worse however, her staff were horrible. I was forced to share information about my current health issues I was being treated for during my stay there due to my addiction in group therapy. Once I said I do not want to talk about this in front of everyone and would rather talk about this in private at individual therapy I was then told that I must share with the group and talk about it in group or else I was “not participating.” If you decline to participate in group therefore you are deciding not to participate in treatment which they threatened would result in me being discharged from the program against medical advice and therefore my insurance likely will not cover any of the cost for my duration of my stay. I hesitantly stayed due to fear of being stuck with an out of pock expense of thousands of dollars. Sharing my medical information and diagnosis in group therapy without my consent and against my will is very unethical and a HIPPA violation. To this day I cringe when I hear anyone say Sanford House. Also If you look at any of their job posts on indeed you will see that they underpay their staff. Pretty sad considering how much money they take in from all of their services and inpatient and outpatient services. I never spoke up like I said due to fear of being released against medical advice and being stuck with a hefty bill and also being newly sober I was scared to advocate for myself. Now years later and sober for years after going elsewhere after this horrible stay at Sanford I can honestly say I am disgusted in this boujee overpriced rehab and feel taken advantage of when I was at my worst.
Lauren Zolinski: I absolutely could not recommend Sanford House enough. It was my second shot at rehab and was after 10+ years of abusing alcohol. I went during COVID so It was a mix of guys and girls at John Street. I truly owe the life I have now to the staff and program. I am over 450 days sober. Just got engaged and getting married in less than a year. I actually fell in love with Grand Rapids when I stayed at the house and moved here from across state, which is where I met my now fiancée.
Sarah Kluz: Saved many lives😁 Wonderful sataff. Great place to learn how to start sober living. Highly recommended.
Ed Fish: I wanted to share this post -- and I rarely post anywhere -- because it might help others seeking seeking substance abuse treatment for a loved one. When we checked my sister into Sanford House it was the third treatment facility she has been to in the last 10 years. What we, and more importantly she, found was a dedicated and caring staff, first class professional care, and an environment that was conducive to recovery (unlike either a hospital or the country club environments she had experienced earlier). My sister left in a far better state than we have seen before, though as anyone who has seen another person go through recovery knows, it really is day by day. What Sanford House's entire team --the Greens as well as the entire group of caring, talented professionals-- gave my sister, however, was techniques to use in her life that fit her. The really special thing that occurred, however, was that a staff member noticed certain attentional and recall issues that my sister was having, and rather than just chalking it up to detox issues, got her to a doctor. It turned out that my sister suffers from previously undiagnosed early onset Alzheimers, which required additional medical care that she is now receiving. I know this is longer than most posts, but I wanted to try to find a way to convey how indebted we are to Sanford House and how unqualifiedly we would recommend them for anyone seeking to help themselves or a loved one with substance abuse treatment.
Maxie Bryant: Wonderful diverse program, caring staff, and a perfect place for women in recovery. A true blessing.
Suzanne Meinke: Sanford House is the best! They provide comprehensive care to women struggling with addictions, in an environment that is warm and welcoming. The staff are knowledegable, and committed to providing patients with tools they can use to maintain their sobriety. As a therapist, I'm proud to refer patients to Sanford House, and feel confident that they will receive the best care possible.
James Guarino: Very nice facility a lot of history and well kept on modern renovation.
Jennifer Peak: Sanford house changed my life and offered me support, comfort and education about my life choices and illness. Truly a blessing. The staff is kind, caring and understanding.Leslie is a fabulous chef on top of all the other wonderful things in the home. The beds are so comfortable and it provides a wonderful envoirnment for recovery.
Medic 1647: Wonderful and safe place for desperate women to go to when they need help.
Kelly Gerth: Seeking treatment in the Grand Rapids, or surrounding areas? Look no further than Sanford House, Cherry st (for women) and Sanford House on John St (for men) I always encourage people seeking help to fully research any facility; Sanford House wil live up to your expectations, as long as you are looking for an intimate, comfortable, environment, in a beautifully built home complete with the "homey" feel. Limited populations make it so each person is able to get the proper attention and help, being that each person uses differently, and each person recovers differently. Highly recommend.
Kids LearningCenter: I did not go there but my mom does that is why I rate 5

Sanford Behavioral Health at John Street: what do users think?

Cindy Dymowski: Positive:Professionalism,QualityI had the opportunity to attend the Grand Opening of this facility a few years ago. I was so pleased to see that Grand Rapids is offering a top notch recovery center, providing professional treatment. I was impressed with the facility itself, spacious rooms, private and for group work. Beautiful location in the heart of the city.
Suzanne Meinke: Sanford House is the best of the best at what they do! The location is stunning, and within lies a treasure trove of skills and support for individuals looking to recover from addictions. The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center: what do users think?
Alex Ziuraitis: Still closed
Pamela Kranz: I love this store. Are they open yet and done with all construction and open yet? Can we shop there yet?
Dalaney Bird: They are closed and didn’t advertise it so we drove 20 minutes for nothing
Complete Golf: The Division Avenue store is closed for extensive remodeling / reconstruction. It doesn’t look like it will re-open anytime soon. By the looks of the construction crew and equipment on site, it might be at least a year before the work is complete. The remodel is far more than paint, paper and clean up.
kristine roberson: The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation center is a great program. I completed the program back in 2011 and have been sober ever since. It was the best thing that I could have ever done in my life being a alcoholic and addict for over 20 years this program and my desire to stay sober saved my life. Anyone wanting to change their life dont hesitate to come here. Yes there are rules and you will be held accountable if you are doing something wrong but that is how it should be. The staff is very helpful on helping the benificiary's get their life back on track from setting up doctor or dentist appointments, if you need clothing items or personal needs or whatever it may be. There is work therapy assignments and that helps to pay for the program. Upon competion helping them to reenter society. Doing job searches and level classes. Upon my completion of the program I was offered a job and have been here ever since and I really enjoy it. It is always a good reminder of where I came from and to never forget that and I try to encourage others along the way. I have never been happier since coming in to this program. I have my life back thanks to The Salvation Army
Mike V: I attended the arc back in 2014 and to be completely honest I would not recommend it to my worst enemy you work nasty jobs for barely any pay the so called groups were a laugh at best and the building looks like a dump, on top of that I was left to walk from the hospital back to the arc at 2 am in a place I knew nothing about only to be kicked out for breaking a so called rule that was not even a rule.
