Krystal Kleen was hired to help with a mold problem we had, but we were so pleased with their work we decided to hire them exclusively to remodel the house. Steve really knows what he is doing. Roy Gingrich: I am not sure what to think about this company. Had them out togive an estimate on a repair for furnace. Woman on phone said they could not give estimates without looking at unit. Never said anything about a charge. They had already diagnosed the problem from a previous visit.He told me what he thought was wrong with the unit, and how much it would cost. 4-500$. He also stated that it might notfix the unit, and that I would still be obligated to pay. Well I thought if you really do not know what is wrong with it, should you be working on it?? Gave me the feeling they did not know what they were doing. So I did not hire them to do the job, so before he left he made me pay a service fee of 120$. Not sure what others think, but does not sound right to me.Would not recommend.

Dan Hodges: I had a local company come to look at my furnace because it was short-cycling. The technician said I needed a new furnace after a quick inspection, and he showed me what he said was damage due to my furnace being too large for my home. My furnace was only 5 years old. I called Schaafsma and they sent David. After a much more thorough examination, the repair was made and he told me that my furnace was fine. Arix Official: I applied to work here and had an interview scheduled, which I unfortunately missed due to me being in the ER with unprecedented health issues. Modernistic did not even bother to respond to my emails within the day of the scheduled interview, and ignored my attempts to reschedule, which gives the impression that this company does not care about their employees or dire circumstances and I am happy I did not involve myself with them. Stay away if you’re looking for a company that cares about their employees!

Renee Carr: After forgetting a duct covering in my laundry area and blowing filth everywhere, they left without cleaning carpets due to an equipment issue. House had to stay disheveled (furniture moved from carpeted areas) for another day in order for them to return following day. They were clearly then rushed for jobs and did a terrible job on my carpets. They did not even move couches as I was told and I cannot even tell the bedroom and changing room carpet were cleaned at all. When I called about couches being moved and expressed dissatisfaction, they could have cared less. Very unprofessional and lacking good customer services. Would never recommend to anyone.

Christopher Hastings: Same story every time. We call that the dryer vent is clogged and ask them to please check their records, as our venting is unique. Technician shows up, takes one look, and says, “oh my, I need to call the boss.”They always get it fixed but it would be nice (and presumably less expensive) if they came out with the right info, tools and team.

michelle burton: I called Monday and sole with the owner; Mark and I needed to have a few things recleaned.Just wanted them cleaned from soot from a fire at my building, not asked who cleaned in the past, who my insurance company was, who was the restoration company before that did a Crapy job; recovery restoration and solutions mark babcock. He even asked who the adjuster was he said he was going to call me back in a minute. Never did. He was just looking to stir up a little drama.
SB S: I noticed all of the good reviews happened before the owner took over operations from the prior manager. This is a current review. I would give -0- stars if I could. DO NOT USE - TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES! They picked up my project from my insurance company after a washing machine flooded two floors in September 2016. My office been under construction for the almost two years. They didn't complete the items that they were paid by my insurance company to complete, nor replace the materials that they were paid to replace. They caused a second flood in my home and home office (both floors again). They didn't remove mirrors, cabinets or light fixtures when painting, though they were paid for that. I have paint and drywall on sinks, toilets, light fixtures, and couch from sloppy work and not covering or taping. The owner has promised resolution but no longer responding to my requests. It has been a year since they flooded my home by re-installing my sink incorrectly. Another contractor had to re-repair their (partial) work. I am now left to file a lawsuit at my expense to try and recoup some of my losses and pay a contractor to come in and complete the unfinished work. Loss of time in office and kitchen dining area has been a major inconvenience and affected my efficiency in my own business.

He not only took great before and after photos of what he cleaned out of our ducts, but also was very informative about telling us about our HVAC system. He also mentioned other things he noticed about our older house that he thought may be helpful to us as first time homeowners (like things to know about our dryer and how to use our house’s whole house humidifier).
